There is a point in every growing home where adding another Sukoon stops being the answer, and it arrives earlier than the price list suggests. Three thresholds, any one of which means stop counting and change technology.
Quick answers — read this first
Threshold one: four machines. Four tanks is where the routine collapses.

Threshold two: a connected, doorless space bigger than one Sukoon can hold.

Threshold three: a double-height room — volume, not floor area.

The cost crossover: six Sukoons are ₹11,394; a Vaayu is ₹11,999.
The short answer
Short answer: stop at four Sukoon units. Beyond that, either the count is being driven by connected space a Vaayu would cover in one machine, or you are about to own more tanks than you will reliably fill. Six Sukoons cost ₹11,394 against ₹11,999 for a Vaayu — near-identical money, one refill point instead of six.
The pick: keep Sukoons in bedrooms for individual control and move the connected common areas onto a Vaayu (₹11,999, waterless, up to 1000m³, app scheduling). Vaayu + 4 Sukoons is ₹19,595. For a ducted home, an Aangan (₹25,999) instead.
Shop: the Vaayu, the Aangan and the Sukoon.
Straight answer
When should you stop buying Sukoons and upgrade to a Vaayu?
1. At four machines. Four tanks to fill is where the weekly routine reliably breaks down. We have watched it happen too often to recommend five.

2. When a connected space is bigger than one Sukoon can hold. An open living-dining, an entrance flowing into a hall — that is one volume, and a Sukoon's 270–320 sq ft rating is a room rating.

3. When a room is double-height. Floor area understates air volume badly, and no ultrasonic unit fills it. This is the clearest single trigger.

4. The money is already level. Six Sukoons is ₹11,394; a Vaayu is ₹11,999 — and the Vaayu is waterless, rated to 1000m³, runs under 38dB and schedules itself from an app.

5. Do not replace the bedrooms. Keep Sukoons where individual control matters. The Vaayu takes over the connected common areas only — ₹19,595 together with four bedrooms.

A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
TL;DR: at four machines, at a connected space bigger than one Sukoon, or at a double-height room. Six Sukoons (₹11,394) and one Vaayu (₹11,999) cost the same — but the Vaayu has one refill point instead of six.
SOSA Vaayu
When counting stops working
SOSA Vaayu ₹11,999
A waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³ with Bluetooth scheduling and under 38dB running noise. This is what replaces the count once your connected, doorless space is bigger than one Sukoon can hold — not a bigger Sukoon, a different technology. It does not run the water-based Hotel Collection bottles.

The three thresholds

Any one of these on its own is enough. Most homes that should switch hit two of the three at the same time, which is usually the moment somebody works out that the machine count has quietly become a chore.

1
THRESHOLD ONE
Four machines — the labour ceiling
This is not a technical limit, it is a human one. Up to three tanks, filling them is a small Sunday job people actually do. At four it becomes a task, at five it becomes a task people skip, and by six half the machines are empty and nobody can say which. The Vaayu has one refill point and no water at all — which is the entire argument, and it is a better argument than coverage.
2
THRESHOLD TWO
A connected space bigger than one machine
The Sukoon's 270–320 sq ft is a room rating, and it works because rooms have doors. An open living-dining running into an entrance and a hall is not a large room — it is a connected volume, and putting two Sukoons in it produces two overlapping pools rather than one even space. The Vaayu's up-to-1000m³ figure exists precisely for this.
The test: walk the space with every internal door open as you normally leave them. If you can walk from one end to the other without opening anything, it is one volume — and one volume wants one machine sized for it.
3
THRESHOLD THREE
Double-height, mezzanine, or a stairwell
The clearest trigger of the three. A double-height living room has the floor area of a large room and the air volume of two, and cool mist rises and collects at the ceiling where nobody is standing. A Megh (₹3,499, 6-litre) is the largest water-based answer and it still will not do a double-height space properly. Vertical volume is where ultrasonic technology stops and waterless begins.

Where the money crosses over

The comparison people expect to be lopsided, and is not. Note that the Vaayu overtakes on price at six machines — but overtakes on sense at four.

4 × Sukoon 4 Four rooms — the last comfortable count ₹7,596
5 × Sukoon 5 Five rooms, and a routine starting to slip ₹9,495
6 × Sukoon 6 Six rooms, and half of them empty by month two ₹11,394
One Vaayu ★ None — waterless Up to 1000m³ of connected space, app-scheduled, under 38dB ₹11,999

Where the count stops and the system starts
The SOSA principle
Six Sukoons and one Vaayu cost the same money. One of them has six tanks to fill.
The switch is not really a coverage decision. It is a decision about how much maintenance a home fragrance system can survive.

What to keep and what to replace

The most important thing to say is that upgrading is not a replacement. Keep every Sukoon you own — they move into the bedrooms, where a machine per room is exactly right and where the whole point is that each occupant chooses their own scent. A Vaayu cannot do that; it gives a house one signature, which is correct for a hallway and wrong for four bedrooms. Nothing you have bought becomes redundant, which is how this range was designed to scale.

What the Vaayu takes over is the connected part: entrance, living, dining, circulation. One machine, one signature, waterless, scheduled from an app so it runs before you are up and stops at midnight without anyone remembering. That combination — waterless and connected for the public half, ultrasonic and personal for the private half — is the setup we specify for almost every 4BHK, duplex and villa, and it comes to ₹19,595 with four bedroom machines.

Two honest caveats before you commit. First, the Vaayu does not run the water-based Hotel Collection bottles — it is a nebuliser taking its own undiluted oil, so you will be managing two consumables, and the price of that second line is on the live product page rather than here. Second, if your home is centrally ducted, the genuinely better answer may be an Aangan at ₹25,999, which puts one signature through 8,000–10,000 sq ft of conditioned space rather than diffusing into a room.

You do not upgrade away from Sukoons. You move them into the bedrooms, where they were always the right answer.

The SOSA edit
The upgrade path
At this point Do this Why Cost
1–3 rooms Keep buying Sukoons One per room; three tanks is a routine people keep ₹1,899 each
4 rooms Stop and assess The last comfortable count — check whether the space is connected ₹7,596
5+ rooms, or open plan ★ Add a Vaayu Waterless, up to 1000m³, app-scheduled — no tanks at all ₹11,999
Double-height room Vaayu, not another Sukoon Volume, not floor area — ultrasonic will not reach it ₹11,999
Centrally ducted home Aangan One signature through 8,000–10,000 sq ft of conditioned space ₹25,999
Existing Sukoons Move them to bedrooms Nothing becomes redundant — individual control is their job —
Honest notes for buyers: the Sukoon covers 270–320 sq ft, which is why a studio needs exactly one and a 3BHK needs three or a Vaayu instead. Ultrasonic diffusers are water-based and add a little humidity to the room, which is a benefit in an AC-dry home and a consideration in a damp coastal one; they run SOSA's own water-based Hotel Collection fragrance and nothing else, because thicker essential and carrier oils clog the 2.4MHz misting plate. The Vaayu and the HVAC systems are waterless nebulisers running undiluted oil — a different technology, not a bigger Sukoon, and the better choice for long daily runs across connected space. Fragrance layers on top of clean air; it does not replace an extractor fan, an open window or a bin that gets emptied. The Hotel Collection scents are SOSA's own interpretations inspired by the world's finest hotels; SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house, not affiliated with or endorsed by any hotel brand. SOSA Sukoon
The unit of measurement
SOSA Sukoon ₹1,899
One 500ml ultrasonic diffuser covering 270–320 sq ft — which is one closed room in almost every Indian home. 16–18 hours per fill on low, remote, 2H/4H timers, and three 15ml Hotel Collection scents of your choice included, so each machine you add also adds three fragrances.

A note from Sonal

I would rather tell someone to stop buying our diffusers than sell them a fifth one, and this is why: the failure mode of too many machines is not expense, it is embarrassment. A house with six diffusers and three of them empty feels worse than a house with two that are always running.

So the threshold I actually use when someone asks is a question rather than a number. Will you fill this on a Sunday, honestly, in February, when you are busy? Three, most people will. Four, some. Beyond that, buy the machine that has nothing to fill.

Everything is made and supported from Pune, and a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. You get a home that smells like somewhere you chose; a girl gets a classroom. That equation has always felt right to me.

Frequently asked questions

When should I stop buying Sukoons and buy a Vaayu?
At about four machines, or as soon as you have a connected doorless space bigger than one Sukoon can hold, or a double-height room. Six Sukoons cost ₹11,394 against ₹11,999 for a Vaayu — near-identical money, with one refill point instead of six.
Is a Vaayu just a bigger Sukoon?
No — they are different technologies. The Sukoon is a water-based ultrasonic cool-mist diffuser; the Vaayu is a waterless cold-air nebuliser running undiluted oil, rated to 1000m³, under 38dB, with Bluetooth scheduling. The water-based Hotel Collection bottles do not run in it.
Do I have to replace my Sukoons when I buy a Vaayu?
No, and you should not. Move them into the bedrooms, where one machine per room is exactly right and each occupant chooses their own scent — something a single central system cannot do. A Vaayu plus four Sukoons is ₹19,595.
How many ultrasonic diffusers is too many?
Four is the last comfortable count. Beyond that the weekly job of filling tanks is one most households quietly stop doing, and a home with six machines and three of them empty is worse off than one with three that always run.
Should a ducted home buy a Vaayu or an Aangan?
If the home has central ducted air conditioning, the Aangan at ₹25,999 puts one signature through 8,000–10,000 sq ft of conditioned space and is the better answer. Without ducting there is nothing for it to work through, and the Vaayu at ₹11,999 is the right buy.

Six Sukoons cost ₹11,394; a waterless Vaayu is ₹11,999, covers up to 1000m³ and schedules itself. Keep your Sukoons for the bedrooms — ₹19,595 for the pair of systems. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
