As a fragrance house, we kept hearing the same thing: Indian rooms are bone-dry from AC half the year and from winter the rest, and the little gadget diffusers everyone buys are too small, too loud, or quit by midnight. Clean, room-temperature water. In hard-water cities, filtered or RO water keeps the mist clean and prevents the fine "white dust" that minerals in tap water can leave on surfaces. Never use hot water.
Can I add my own essential oils?
No — use only the SOSA fragrances made for this humidifier. Random essential oils, perfumes and carrier oils are too thick or solvent-heavy and can clog the misting plate and damage the unit. The three fragrances included (and SOSA refills) are formulated to run through it safely.
How often do I clean it?
