The default plan at any size: one SKU, repeated, in one order. 5 × ₹749 = ₹3,745 · 10 × ₹749 = ₹7,490 · 20 × ₹749 = ₹14,980 · 30 × ₹749 = ₹22,470.
The scent for a list you are guessing at: Garden Bloom ₹799, then Morning Freshness ₹749. Never buy twenty of Fresh Brew ₹849 blind — it is the most polarising thing we make.
What does not exist at any quantity: a discount slab, a minimum order quantity, a stated GST-invoicing arrangement, a branding service, a published lead time, a gift box, a hamper or a gift card. Ask through the contact page before committing to a large order.

2. Know which threshold you are standing at. Below about eight you can still buy individually and it will not ruin your fortnight. Between eight and fifteen, decision cost overtakes any saving. Above fifteen, visibility inside the group governs. Above twenty-five, supply and terms govern.
3. Buy one SKU, repeated. At every size from eight upwards this is the default, and the reason is not laziness. In a group that compares, identical is the only version that does not rank people; in a group that does not compare, identical is simply cheaper in time.
4. Two SKUs is the ceiling, and only where the list genuinely splits. Two sealed groups who never meet, or a 50ml for most homes and a 130ml at ₹1,299 for the two or three you visit. Three SKUs is where choosing costs more than it saves.
5. Choose the scent for breadth, not for your own taste. Garden Bloom ₹799 carries the widest agreement across a mixed Indian list, with Morning Freshness ₹749 close behind. Fresh Brew ₹849 is the least safe blind buy in the range.
6. If the budget will not carry the list, change the product for everyone. Not for some. 15 × ₹449 = ₹6,735 is a respectable Diwali gift bought once and repeated; fifteen assorted gifts at three price points is a hierarchy you will spend the evening explaining.
7. At twenty-five and above, ask before you commit. Everything here is composed and poured in small batches in Pune, so a large single-SKU order is a question rather than an assumption, and no quantity terms of any kind are published. One message through the contact page is the whole precaution.
8. Place one order. Free shipping starts above ₹499 and it is the only logistics fact that exists on this page. No delivery timing is promised here or anywhere else on our site.

Part one — the three thresholds between five and thirty
People describe small-quantity gifting as though it were one problem with a size attached, and it is not. It is three problems that hand over to each other as the number rises, and each one has a different solution. The mistake I see most often is a buyer applying the right answer for their old list length to their new one — the person who bought eight gifts individually for years and is now buying twenty-two, or the office manager who ran a team of twelve and now has thirty. The count moved; the method did not; the fortnight fell apart.
Morning Freshness₹749 · 50mlBelow about fifteen, a list is usually several unconnected people. Above it, a list is usually a group — one office, one building, one extended family that will be in one room. The moment the recipients can see each other's gifts, any difference between those gifts becomes a public statement about rank that you did not intend and cannot withdraw. This is the threshold at which uniformity stops being the boring option and becomes the fair one. It also changes what you do when the budget is short: below fifteen you can quietly give three people something smaller, and above fifteen you cannot, so the honest move is to change the product for the whole list. Where a list divides into two genuinely sealed groups — two cities, two sides of a family — you may treat the groups differently. You may not treat people differently inside one room.Part two — the quantity ladder, five to thirty
Eight list sizes, the constraint that actually binds at each, how many different products I would use, and the cheapest sensible whole-list plan with its arithmetic written out. Read down to your own number; the row is the guide. No price appears here for any gift category outside our range, because the argument at every size is about what an object does after it is handed over, not about what it cost.
| Gifts | What actually binds at this size | SKUs I would use | The default plan | Working and total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 20 ★ | An upgrade for five is funded by the other fifteen | 1 | Morning Freshness 50ml flat | 20 × ₹749 = ₹14,980 |
| 5 | The temptation to buy five different things | 1 | Garden Bloom 50ml | 5 × ₹799 = ₹3,995 |
| 8 | The group starts comparing · decision cost appears | 1 | Morning Freshness 50ml | 8 × ₹749 = ₹5,992 |
| 10 | Per-head ceilings enter the conversation | 1 | Morning Freshness 50ml | 10 × ₹749 = ₹7,490 |
| 12 | Two scents become defensible if the list splits | 1–2 | Evening Calm 50ml | 12 × ₹799 = ₹9,588 |
| 15 | Decision cost overtakes anything variety saves | 1 | Morning Freshness 50ml | 15 × ₹749 = ₹11,235 |
| 25 | Buyers assume trade terms that do not exist | 1 | Morning Freshness 50ml | 25 × ₹749 = ₹18,725 |
| 30 | Whether thirty identical units can be filled | 1 | Garden Bloom 50ml, availability confirmed first | 30 × ₹799 = ₹23,970 |
| The honest caveat: the SKU column is the part people argue with, and it is the part I am most confident about. One product repeated is not a failure of imagination; it is a recognition that on a list of this length you have real information about perhaps a quarter of the names. Note also that every total here is arithmetic on listed SOSA prices with the working shown, not a quotation, and that SOSA publishes no bulk pricing, no discount slab, no minimum order quantity, no stated GST-invoicing arrangement, no custom branding service and no lead time. No delivery timing is promised anywhere in this guide. If the budget will not reach a row, move the whole list down a product rather than splitting it into tiers — 15 × ₹449 = ₹6,735 is an honest plan; fifteen assorted gifts at three price points is not. | ||||

Part three — the fragrance decision at quantity
Once the count and the SKU rule are settled, one decision remains and it is the only genuinely fragrant part of this guide: which composition to buy in quantity. All five 50ml bottles are built identically — refillable glass, six fibre reeds, alcohol-free, phthalate-free and paraben-free on a heat-stable CCT carrier, 6–8 weeks of stated life — and they differ only in what is inside them. The correct criterion at quantity is not which is best but which is least likely to be actively disliked by the fifth person out of twenty who opens it.
| Scent | 50ml | 130ml | The risk when you buy twenty of it | Share of a mixed list I would give it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Garden Bloom ★ | ₹799 | ₹1,299 | Lowest · only a stated dislike of floral excludes it | All of it, if you are choosing one bottle |
| Morning Freshness | ₹749 | ₹1,249 | Low · can read cool in a home that wants warmth | All of it, for a younger or office list |
| Evening Calm | ₹799 | ₹1,299 | Low · lavender reads as a linen cupboard to some | Up to half · the safest for small flats |
| Mountain Breeze | ₹849 | ₹1,349 | Medium · dry and woody, can read as cold | A third · the answer for anyone who rejects "scented" |
| Fresh Brew | ₹849 | ₹1,349 | Highest · the most polarising composition we make | Only names you have heard praise coffee or vanilla |
| The honest caveat: the range has no oud, no musk-forward composition and no aquatic. If that is what somebody on your list wants, we do not make it, and I would rather say so than stretch the nearest bottle across the gap. Where SOSA quotes a strength figure — 9.0 for Morning Freshness, 8.9 for Garden Bloom and Evening Calm, 9.4 for Mountain Breeze, 9.5 for Fresh Brew — that is a position on our own internal scale at six reeds, not an industry standard, not a concentration and not a ranking of quality. If a single home is receiving two bottles for two connected rooms, choose scents that share a note: Mountain Breeze and Morning Freshness meet on green eucalyptus, Fresh Brew and Garden Bloom meet on warmth. Two unrelated compositions in one connected space produce a seam nobody designed. | ||||
Part four — where small-quantity orders go wrong
The first failure is variety, and it is the expensive one at every size above eight. Faced with fourteen names the instinct is to choose fourteen different things, on the theory that identical gifts look lazy. What identical gifts actually look like is decided; what fourteen different gifts cost is a fortnight of your life plus fourteen separate chances to be wrong about someone. The remedy is not to care less but to move the caring earlier — into deciding who is on the list at all, and into choosing one object well.
The second failure is the tier that funds itself from the bottom of the list. On a fixed total, promoting five names to a larger bottle does not come out of thin air: at twenty gifts, five 130ml bottles at ₹1,299 is ₹6,495, which taken from ₹14,980 leaves ₹8,485 for fifteen people, or ₹565 each — below the ₹749 reed floor, so the fifteen change category rather than size. The upgrade for five is paid for by the other fifteen, and if those two groups will ever be in one room, that is a decision with an audience. Where you genuinely want both, price it honestly: 5 × ₹1,299 plus 15 × ₹749 is ₹17,730, which is ₹2,750 above the flat plan and is a perfectly reasonable thing to spend as long as you decided it rather than discovered it.
The third failure is assuming one object suits every home on the list, which it does not. A reed diffuser wants a shelf, a little incidental airflow and no small child at reaching height; it is a poor fit for a very small single room where a constant low fragrance has nowhere to disperse, for a household that has said it dislikes scented things, and for anywhere it would stand near a lamp — fragrance oil is flammable and belongs well away from diyas and open flame. Across fifteen to thirty names you will find two to four homes in one of those categories, and the honest response is a quiet exception outside the group that compares — a ₹474 mug, a ₹664 trinket dish, or, where the recipient works for you, cash first and an object second if at all. One last thing about the occasion: a Diwali home is already at maximum fragrance, and a diffuser does not clean air or mask any of it. What you are really giving is the quiet fortnight afterwards.
Part five — what SOSA cannot offer at any quantity
A guide that only lists what to buy is an advertisement, so here is the other half, stated as plainly as I can manage. SOSA publishes no bulk pricing and no discount slab. There is no minimum order quantity. There is no stated GST-invoicing arrangement. There is no custom branding, personalisation or printed-packaging service. There is no published lead time, and I will not promise any delivery timing on this page or any other. There is also no gift card, no gift hamper, no gift box and no curated reed gift set — the nearest thing we make to a set is a two-bottle duo from ₹1,498, which is honestly two bottles rather than a hamper. Gift wrapping and gift notes are not stated anywhere either, so check at checkout rather than assuming them. None of these absences is a negotiating position or a hint that terms exist for the persistent; they are gaps in what we publish, and softening them into implied offers would do real harm to a reader about to spend ₹18,000 or ₹30,000.
What exists instead is a route and a habit. The route is the contact page, the only channel for a question about a large order — including the one that matters most above twenty-five units, which is whether that many bottles of a single composition can be filled. The habit is to ask before committing, and to treat whatever you are told there as the only terms that apply. Every total in this guide is arithmetic on listed prices with its working shown, and arithmetic is not a quotation. Two smaller gaps belong here too: replacement reeds are not sold as a separate item, and the oil-only refills at ₹2,399 for 300ml and ₹3,499 for 500ml include neither a vessel nor reeds.
Part six — the plan, by situation
The whole guide reduced to eight situations and eight orders. The situations are described by the shape of the group rather than by the number alone, because the shape is what decides whether one SKU or two is right. Every figure is arithmetic on our listed prices with the working shown.
| Your situation | Gifts | What I would order | The working | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A team of eight who share a room ★ | 8 | Morning Freshness 50ml, identical | 8 × ₹749 | ₹5,992 |
| Five relatives whose homes you know | 5 | Garden Bloom 50ml | 5 × ₹799 | ₹3,995 |
| Ten near-strangers, ₹1,000 a head approved | 10 | Garden Bloom 50ml | 10 × ₹799 | ₹7,990 |
| Twelve across two sites that never meet | 12 | Two SKUs, split by site not by rank | 6 × ₹749 = ₹4,494 · 6 × ₹849 = ₹5,094 | ₹9,588 |
| Fifteen, and the ceiling will not pass ₹8,000 | 15 | Sandalwood jar candle, the same one for all | 15 × ₹449 | ₹6,735 |
| Twenty on one office floor | 20 | Garden Bloom 50ml, flat, no tier | 20 × ₹799 | ₹15,980 |
| Twenty-five, ₹20,000 to spend | 25 | Morning Freshness 50ml · ask before committing | 25 × ₹749 | ₹18,725 |
| Thirty at ₹1,000 a head | 30 | Garden Bloom 50ml · confirm availability first | 30 × ₹799 | ₹23,970 |
Versailles
Thirty is the largest number I am comfortable writing a guide about, and the reason is not modesty. We are a small-batch house in Pune. Everything is composed and poured in quantities I can stand next to and watch, which is the whole point of the product and also a real limit on it. A thirty-unit order of one composition is an event in our week rather than a line in a warehouse system, and I would rather a buyer ask us and be told plainly what is possible than read a confident sentence on a blog and build a plan on it.
The second thing I have learned from small-quantity buyers is that almost nobody arrives with a fragrance question. They arrive with a list, a fortnight and a quiet dread of the whole exercise, and what they need first is a method rather than a recommendation. The perfumery — the part I actually trained for at ISIPCA in Versailles, and the part I care most about — turns out to be the last decision rather than the first.
I have tried hard not to flatter anyone here. Nothing in this guide says that a bigger bottle will make you look generous or that any gift will be remembered; I have no way of knowing, and neither does anybody else selling you something this season. What I can give you accurately is the price list, the arithmetic with its working shown, the stated life of every product, what has to already exist in a recipient's home for it to work, where our range has holes in it, and what we do not offer at any quantity at all. Everything is composed and handmade in small batches in Pune, and a part of every order funds a girl's classroom through Nanhi Kali.
