Remove the cap, place on a flat surface out of direct sun, insert the reeds and let them soak for an hour before the first flip. Two reeds in a bathroom, three in a bedroom, six in a kitchen.

Flip the reeds once a week (gloves or a tissue keep your fingers clean). Flipping more often makes it stronger but shorter-lived.
