Why does the third bedroom matter? Because it is usually the least occupied room in the flat, whether a guest room, study or store, and an unused room develops a dried drain trap and stale air rather than a fragrance deficit.
Does a 3BHK need a bigger machine than a 2BHK? No. The extra room is behind a door, so it changes the bottle count rather than the machine. The machine depends only on the hall.
The third bedroom is the one that changes the answer
A 3BHK is structurally a 2BHK with one more room, and the interesting thing about that room is that it is almost always the least occupied space in the flat. In practice the third bedroom is a guest room used a few times a year, a study that gets used in bursts, a child's room, or a room that has quietly become a store. Which of those it is changes what belongs in it, and in three of those four cases the answer is not fragrance at all. Start with what does not change, because it saves money. The machine answer for a 3BHK is identical to a 2BHK. The extra bedroom is behind a door, and a machine distributes fragrance through connected moving air and cannot cross a closed door at any price or setting. So adding a third bedroom does not create a case for a larger machine; it creates a case for one more bottle. The machine question is decided entirely by the hall, exactly as in a 2BHK: for most 3BHKs another reed in the living area finishes the flat, and the whole home is complete with nothing to switch on, nothing to fill and nothing that can drift upward, since there is no setting for an adapted nose to raise. Where the hall is large or L-shaped, two points placed apart beat one stronger source, because a single point in an angled space produces a pocket near itself and an empty far end. And where you specifically want the level to change with time - quieter at three in the afternoon, present at seven when somebody walks in from outside with an unadapted nose - a Sukoon at Rs 1,799 is the right unit for a flat hall, with a Megh at Rs 3,499 and its 6L tank for a genuinely large open living-dining, remembering that a tank is refilled every few days and rinsed between scents. The Vaayu at Rs 11,999 is rated for up to 1,000 square metres, roughly 10,700 square feet, and is not a flat product at any size. What does change is the bottle count, from four or five to six or seven, and what belongs in that third room. If the third bedroom is genuinely in daily use - somebody sleeps there - it takes exactly what any bedroom takes: the lightest level in the home, from a source the occupant can move, cap or take out of the room without asking anybody, since somebody sleeping in a register they did not choose should never have to make a request about the air. If it is a child's room, it gets no fragrance at all. But if it is a guest room used three times a year, or a study that sits closed for weeks, then it has the classic problem of an unused room and fragrance is not it. Two things go wrong in a room nobody enters. The first, and by a wide margin the most common bad smell in any home with a spare room, is a dried drain trap in the attached bathroom. Every basin, shower and floor drain holds a small volume of water that is the only barrier between the room and the drainage system, and in a bathroom nobody has used for six weeks - particularly with air conditioning running or in a dry season - it evaporates. Once it has gone, the room is connected directly to the drain. People describe the result as musty and reach for an air freshener, which is close to the worst available response, because the combination of a covering smell and a drain smell is instantly legible to anybody arriving. The fix costs nothing: a mug of water down every drain, including the floor drain everybody forgets, and a recurring reminder if the room stays unused for long stretches. The second is still air. A closed room exchanges nothing, so the mattress, the wardrobe interior, the curtains and the carpet equilibrate with whatever the room has been holding. Ten minutes with a window open before a guest arrives does not undo that; airing means hours, with the internal door open so the room is part of a moving volume, and with the wardrobe open since that is where clothes are going. Only after both of those are handled does a reed have anything useful to do in there, and it should be the quietest register in the flat.
What the third room actually needs
What the third room actually needs. Unchanged from a 2BHK: the machine is decided by the hall alone, since the third bedroom sits behind a door no machine crosses. For most 3BHKs another reed diffuser finishes the hall; two points placed apart if it is long or L-shaped; the SOSA Sukoon at Rs 1,799 if you want the level to build before you come home; the SOSA Megh at Rs 3,499 with a 6L tank for a genuinely large open living-dining. Not a flat product: the SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999, rated for up to 1,000 m², roughly 10,700 square feet. Changed: six or seven bottles rather than four or five - one per bathroom, one per bedroom, one just inside the entrance - Morning Freshness at Rs 749, Garden Bloom at Rs 799, Evening Calm at Rs 799, Fresh Brew at Rs 849, Mountain Breeze at Rs 849, three to four months per bottle, refills at Rs 2,399 for 300ml and Rs 3,499 for 500ml, or the SOSA Boond at Rs 799 at the door. The third room specifically: if somebody sleeps there daily, the lightest level in the home from a source the occupant can move, cap or remove without asking; if it is a child's room, nothing at all; if it is used a few times a year, then before any fragrance, a mug of water down every drain in the attached bathroom including the floor drain, since the water seal evaporates within weeks and connects the room to the drainage system, followed by hours of airing with the internal door and wardrobe open. Then the quietest register in the flat, from a source a guest can move or cap. Fragrance for machines: Hotel Collection at Rs 299 for 15ml, Rs 999 for 100ml and Rs 1,799 for 300ml, at three to six drops per tank, rinsing between scents; it is not reed diffuser oil and the two are not interchangeable. Never scented: the kitchen at any time, where extraction used every single time is the answer, the dining area during a meal, children's rooms, and covered balconies. Everything is alcohol-free and made to IFRA-compliant standards.

Versailles
Most customer gifts are bought to be handed over, not to be kept: the sweet box is finished by the family that evening, the keychain joins a drawer, the branded pen was never really a gift at all. Then the moment that cost your business lakhs to create - the new car, the new home, the big purchase - is remembered with nothing. A fragrance gift keeps that moment alive, because scent is the sense wired closest to memory: months later, your customer is still in the middle of the experience you gave them.
I trained at ISIPCA in Versailles and everything we make is built for Indian lives - car diffusers that survive a Mumbai summer, reed diffusers that hold through the monsoon, alcohol-free formulas safe to gift across every customer profile. If you run a dealership, a project, a hotel, a showroom or a team, message the bulk desk on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 - tell me the customer moment and the volumes, and I will help you design the programme myself. The business conversations are my favourite kind: one good gifting programme teaches me more about a category than a year of retail orders.
And a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali - so your customer gift quietly gives twice. That equation has always felt right to me.
Frequently asked questions
Facts verified August 2026: Olfactory memory research shows scent-linked memories are unusually durable and emotionally vivid, which is why a used-daily fragrance gift sustains brand association in a way consumable or novelty gifts do not; customer-experience research consistently finds that peak moments (delivery, possession, checkout) disproportionately shape how the whole purchase is remembered. Fragrance preference is personal: volume gifting programmes should default to gentle fresh, green and lightly floral registers, and to space formats (diffusers, reeds, car fragrance) rather than skin perfume. SOSA range: Hotel Collection ultrasonic fragrance from Rs 299; car perfumes from Rs 449 (spray and hanging, alcohol-free); attars Nawaab, Ameeri, Mastani and Adaa from Rs 379 (3ml/6ml/12ml, alcohol-free); Attar Trio from Rs 1,055; perfumes from Rs 499; reed diffusers from Rs 749; Boond Rs 799, Sukoon Rs 1,799 and Megh Rs 3,499 ultrasonic diffusers; SOSA Safar waterless car and travel diffuser Rs 3,999 (rechargeable, three hotel-inspired scents included); SOSA Vaayu waterless scent machine Rs 11,999 (~1000m³, app + timer).
