Why is BHK a useful measure? Because it counts bedrooms, and bedrooms mean doors. Closed doors decide the bottle count, since no machine crosses one.
Do most flats need a machine? No. A flat fully served by reeds is a complete setup with nothing to fill and no setting that can drift upward.
BHK is a door count, and doors are the whole question
This is the whole BHK cluster on one page, and it rests on a single idea that makes flats much easier to plan than square footage suggests. BHK is a door count. A 2BHK means two bedrooms, which in practice means at least four closed doors - two bedrooms and two bathrooms - plus a kitchen. A 3BHK means six or seven closed rooms. And closed doors are exactly what matters, because a machine distributes fragrance through connected moving air and cannot cross one at any price or setting. So the label tells you something genuinely precise about half the answer. The bottles are settled by the BHK. A 2BHK needs four or five reed diffusers: one in each bathroom, one in each bedroom, and one just inside the entrance. A 3BHK needs six or seven. That number holds whether the flat is 600 square feet or 1,200, because bottles serve rooms rather than floor area and the room count is what the label describes. Within that, three positions have different jobs. Bathrooms are the best value anywhere in home fragrance: small enough that one source distributes evenly, behind doors that nothing else can serve, and the room visitors actually remember, because it is the one place somebody is alone and unhurried and forming a private view. Bedrooms take the lightest level in the home, which is counterintuitive and deliberate - dwell time is long so everybody adapts within an hour and perceives almost nothing afterwards, and a room somebody cannot leave should have a source they can physically move, cap or take out without asking anybody. Children's rooms get nothing at all. And the entrance is the highest-value position in the flat, because everybody who lives there has adapted and perceives very little, which makes walking in from outside the only moment anybody experiences the home properly, several times a day. It should be permanent rather than scheduled, and placed just inside the door rather than at the threshold, since in an apartment the corridor outside is shared air you do not control. The machine is settled separately, and only by the hall, because the hall is the one room a machine can serve. For most flats the honest answer is none. Another reed finishes the home for a few thousand rupees, needs nothing done to it for three to four months, and carries an underrated advantage: nothing in it can drift upward, because there is no setting for an adapted nose to raise, and that ratchet is precisely how sensible households end up with heavy homes. Buy a machine for the one capability a bottle lacks, which is timing: the hall quieter at three in the afternoon and present at seven in the evening when somebody walks in from outside with an unadapted nose, or a level built up before guests arrive. Where that applies, a Sukoon at Rs 1,799 is the right unit for a flat hall, and a Megh at Rs 3,499 with its 6L tank suits a genuinely large open living-dining, remembering that a tank is refilled every few days and rinsed between scents and is the small recurring job that quietly stops. Where the hall is long or L-shaped, two points placed apart beat one stronger source, because a single point in an angled space produces a pocket near itself and an empty far end. Three standing rules close it out. Never the passage: it looks like the hub of a 3BHK, with every room opening off it, and it reaches none of them, so a unit there scents a narrow corridor nobody sits in. Never the kitchen, at any time, from anything: cooking smell is aerosolised oil that travels and settles into the hall's soft furnishings within seconds in a compact plan, and the answer is extraction used every single time with whatever door exists closed - fragrance over it reads instantly as concealment. And never the Vaayu in a flat: at Rs 11,999 it is rated for up to 1,000 square metres of connected air, roughly 10,700 square feet, and a machine has a minimum output calibrated for its intended scale, so a villa unit can exceed a flat hall even at its lowest setting, invisibly, because everybody indoors has adapted. Two things that outrank all of it: extraction, and a mug of water down the drains of any bathroom not used daily, since a dried trap connects the room to the drainage system and is the commonest bad smell in a flat.
The complete BHK kit
The complete BHK kit. Settled by the label, at any square footage: a reed diffuser in each bathroom, the best value anywhere in home fragrance; one in each bedroom at the lightest level in the home, from a source the occupant can move, cap or take out of the room without asking anybody; and one just inside the entrance rather than at the threshold, the highest-value position in the flat, permanent rather than scheduled - four or five bottles for a 2BHK, six or seven for a 3BHK. Reeds: Morning Freshness at Rs 749, Garden Bloom at Rs 799, Evening Calm at Rs 799, Fresh Brew at Rs 849, Mountain Breeze at Rs 849, three to four months per bottle, refills at Rs 2,399 for 300ml and Rs 3,499 for 500ml, or the SOSA Boond at Rs 799 at the door. Settled separately by the hall: for most flats, another reed and no machine at all. The SOSA Sukoon at Rs 1,799 if you want the level to change with time; the SOSA Megh at Rs 3,499 with a 6L tank for a genuinely large open living-dining; two points placed apart if the hall is long or L-shaped, at console or table height and out of the direct throw of an air conditioner. A third bedroom that is barely used: a mug of water down every drain in the attached bathroom and hours of airing with the door and wardrobe open, before any fragrance. Fragrance for machines: Hotel Collection at Rs 299 for 15ml, Rs 999 for 100ml and Rs 1,799 for 300ml - Quiet Luxury in white tea, bergamot and cedar, White Tea Serenity in white tea, aloe and cedar, Forest Suite in cedarwood, vetiver and green leaves - at three to six drops per tank, rinsing between scents. It is a water-based fragrance for ultrasonic diffusers, is not reed diffuser oil, and the two are not interchangeable; reed oil can damage a diffuser. These are SOSA's own interpretations and SOSA is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by or associated with any hotel brand. Never: a machine in the passage, which reaches nothing behind its doors; the SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999 in a flat, being rated to 1,000 m², roughly 10,700 square feet; the kitchen at any time, where extraction used every single time is the answer; the dining area during a meal; children's rooms; or covered balconies, which cannot hold fragrance. Everything is alcohol-free and made to IFRA-compliant standards.

Versailles
Most customer gifts are bought to be handed over, not to be kept: the sweet box is finished by the family that evening, the keychain joins a drawer, the branded pen was never really a gift at all. Then the moment that cost your business lakhs to create - the new car, the new home, the big purchase - is remembered with nothing. A fragrance gift keeps that moment alive, because scent is the sense wired closest to memory: months later, your customer is still in the middle of the experience you gave them.
I trained at ISIPCA in Versailles and everything we make is built for Indian lives - car diffusers that survive a Mumbai summer, reed diffusers that hold through the monsoon, alcohol-free formulas safe to gift across every customer profile. If you run a dealership, a project, a hotel, a showroom or a team, message the bulk desk on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 - tell me the customer moment and the volumes, and I will help you design the programme myself. The business conversations are my favourite kind: one good gifting programme teaches me more about a category than a year of retail orders.
And a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali - so your customer gift quietly gives twice. That equation has always felt right to me.
Frequently asked questions
Facts verified August 2026: Olfactory memory research shows scent-linked memories are unusually durable and emotionally vivid, which is why a used-daily fragrance gift sustains brand association in a way consumable or novelty gifts do not; customer-experience research consistently finds that peak moments (delivery, possession, checkout) disproportionately shape how the whole purchase is remembered. Fragrance preference is personal: volume gifting programmes should default to gentle fresh, green and lightly floral registers, and to space formats (diffusers, reeds, car fragrance) rather than skin perfume. SOSA range: Hotel Collection ultrasonic fragrance from Rs 299; car perfumes from Rs 449 (spray and hanging, alcohol-free); attars Nawaab, Ameeri, Mastani and Adaa from Rs 379 (3ml/6ml/12ml, alcohol-free); Attar Trio from Rs 1,055; perfumes from Rs 499; reed diffusers from Rs 749; Boond Rs 799, Sukoon Rs 1,799 and Megh Rs 3,499 ultrasonic diffusers; SOSA Safar waterless car and travel diffuser Rs 3,999 (rechargeable, three hotel-inspired scents included); SOSA Vaayu waterless scent machine Rs 11,999 (~1000m³, app + timer).
