The arithmetic everybody starts with is 1,800 square feet at a ten-foot ceiling, which is 18,000 cubic feet, which is about 510 cubic metres. That number is correct and largely beside the point, because a wealth management office is one of the least connected floor plans in commercial property: partner cabins with doors, two or three meeting rooms with doors, a server or records room, a kitchenette, and a reception and circulation space that may be a third of the lease. What you are sizing is the last of those, and doing that honestly changes the answer.
Quick answers — read this first
What size diffuser does an 1,800 sq ft wealth office need? Less than the floor area suggests. At a ten-foot ceiling, 1,800 sq ft is 18,000 cubic feet, which divided by 35.3 is about 510 cubic metres - comfortably inside one SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999, which is rated at roughly 1000 cubic metres of connected air and which SOSA's own product copy describes as covering 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft evenly. But a wealth office is mostly closed cabins and meeting rooms, so the connected front of house might be only 600 to 700 sq ft, which is 6,000 to 7,000 cubic feet, or about 170 to 198 cubic metres. That is the number to buy against, and at that volume a Megh at Rs 3,499 or even a Sukoon at Rs 1,899 may be the right answer rather than a compromise.
How do I work out the volume I actually need to scent? Measure only the rooms that share air: the reception, the waiting or lounge area, and the circulation space that joins them, with the cabin and meeting-room doors closed as they normally are. Multiply that floor area in square feet by the finished ceiling height in feet for cubic feet, then divide by 35.3 for cubic metres. A 650 sq ft front of house at ten feet is 6,500 cubic feet, about 184 cubic metres. The same 650 sq ft under a nine-foot false ceiling is 5,850 cubic feet, about 166 cubic metres. Closed rooms are separate volumes and a separate decision - a reed diffuser from Rs 749 in a cabin, or nothing at all in the room where difficult conversations happen.
Is a Vaayu too much machine for an 1,800 sq ft office? It may be, and we would rather say so. The Vaayu at Rs 11,999 covers roughly 1000 cubic metres, which is around five times a typical 180 cubic metre connected front of house, so it will run near the bottom of its range - which is where a wealth office machine should sit anyway. What the price buys at that volume is control rather than coverage: waterless cold-air nebulising with no tank to fill, Bluetooth app and timer so the level is locked and does not drift upward, one even level from the entrance to the far end of the circulation space, and headroom if you take the adjoining suite. If that is not worth it to you today, a Megh at Rs 3,499 for an open reception or a Sukoon at Rs 1,899 for a compact one is an honest answer.
The short answer
Short answer: An 1,800 sq ft wealth management office at a ten-foot ceiling is 18,000 cubic feet, about 510 cubic metres - inside one SOSA Vaayu (Rs 11,999), which is rated at roughly 1000 cubic metres of connected air and which SOSA's own copy describes as covering 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft evenly. But apply the connected-volume rule: a wealth office is mostly closed cabins and meeting rooms, so the front of house may be only 600 to 700 sq ft, which is 6,000 to 7,000 cubic feet or about 170 to 198 cubic metres. At that volume a Megh at Rs 3,499 or a Sukoon at Rs 1,899 may be the right answer. Closed rooms are a separate decision: a reed from Rs 749, or nothing. Registers from Rs 299. Every customer-facing space hosts two audiences at once: the customer who forms an opinion in a single visit, and the staff who breathe that air for eight hours. Commercial scenting serves both with one move - a single refined fragrance, held evenly from the entrance to the far end of the floor, running on a schedule nobody has to remember. Customers experience it as "this brand has itself together"; the team gets premises that smell composed from opening to close.
What should an 1,800 sq ft wealth management office actually buy?
Do the arithmetic twice. 1. The number on the lease. 1,800 sq ft at a ten-foot ceiling is 18,000 cubic feet; divided by 35.3, that is about 510 cubic metres. One SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is rated at roughly 1000m³ of connected air, and SOSA's own product copy puts it at 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft evenly, so on paper the whole office sits inside one machine. 2. The correction that matters. A wealth practice is not one volume. Behind the reception sit partner cabins with doors, two or three meeting rooms with doors, a records or server room, a kitchenette and a washroom, and none of those share air with the front of house in normal use. Measure the connected part only: reception, the waiting or lounge area and the circulation space that joins them. In an office this size that is commonly 600 to 700 sq ft, which at ten feet is 6,000 to 7,000 cubic feet, or about 170 to 198 cubic metres. That is the number to buy against. 3. The rungs, honestly. A compact enclosed reception of around 300 sq ft (3,000 cubic feet, about 85 cubic metres) runs on a Sukoon (₹1,899) with a water-based register from the Hotel Collection (from ₹299). An open reception and lounge together are a Megh 6L (₹3,499) for longer unattended runs. A genuinely connected front of house, or a practice that expects to open up the plan, wants the Vaayu: waterless, no tank, Bluetooth app and timer so the level is set once and locked. 4. The closed rooms are a separate decision. A partner's cabin of 140 sq ft at ten feet is 1,400 cubic feet, about 40 cubic metres - a reed diffuser from ₹749 is the proportionate answer, and in the room where clients hear difficult news the proportionate answer is nothing. Your team breathe the front-of-house air all day, so whisper calibration, a locked setting and a sensitivity report treated as a recalibration signal are the rule. WhatsApp +91 96192 18531 with your floor plan. Made in India; a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
One line: 1,800 sq ft at 10 ft is about 510m³, but the connected front of house is nearer 600 to 700 sq ft, about 170 to 198m³ - so Sukoon ₹1,899, Megh ₹3,499 or Vaayu ₹11,999, with reeds from ₹749 in the cabins. WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.
The commercial standard most businesses choose: the SOSA Vaayu - waterless cold-air scenting to ~1000m³, Bluetooth app and timer, one signature on schedule - at ₹11,999. Single rooms and consultation corners start on reeds from ₹749; cabin systems from ₹1,899; large-premises HVAC from ₹25,999. Sizing an office that is mostly closed doors
Three sizing errors specific to a wealth practice: counting rooms behind doors, forgetting the finished ceiling, and buying coverage when what you need is a locked level.
Why this works
Sizing an office that is mostly doors - the arithmetic that changes the answer
The commercial standard: the SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 - waterless, app-scheduled, ~1000m³ coverage. Single rooms start on reeds from ₹749.
A wealth office is seven or eight volumes, not one
Every coverage rating on every diffuser assumes one connected body of air, and a wealth practice is close to the opposite of that by design, because the work requires closed doors. Break an 1,800 sq ft office down and it usually reads something like this: a reception and client lounge of 350 to 500 sq ft, a circulation spine of 120 to 200 sq ft, three or four partner and adviser cabins of 120 to 160 sq ft each, two meeting rooms of 180 to 250 sq ft, a records or server room, a kitchenette and a washroom. Only the first two are connected in normal use. Take 650 sq ft of connected front of house at a ten-foot ceiling: 6,500 cubic feet, which divided by 35.3 is about 184 cubic metres. A 200 sq ft meeting room at the same height is 2,000 cubic feet, about 57 cubic metres, and it is behind a door. A 140 sq ft cabin is 1,400 cubic feet, about 40 cubic metres, and it is behind another. So the office that thought it was buying for 510 cubic metres is buying for roughly a third of that - and for a space it fully controls, which is the more useful half of the correction.
Tip: a rating assumes one connected volume - a wealth office is a corridor with seven doors off it.
2
The ceiling
Measure the finished height, not the slab
Almost every fitted-out office runs a false ceiling for lighting, air-conditioning ducting, cabling and acoustic treatment, which typically brings the finished height down to nine feet and sometimes to eight and a half. That moves the arithmetic in your favour: the same 650 sq ft front of house at nine feet is 5,850 cubic feet, about 166 cubic metres, roughly ten per cent less air than the ten-foot figure. Measure what is actually above your head, in the room you are sizing, because a plan drawing will not tell you. The exception cuts the other way and is worth watching for: a converted heritage floor, a bungalow office or a suite with a double-height reception gives you eleven, twelve or fifteen feet, and a 650 sq ft reception at twelve feet is 7,800 cubic feet, about 221 cubic metres rather than 184. Across the whole 1,800 sq ft the same shift is dramatic - at twelve feet the office is 21,600 cubic feet, about 612 cubic metres, against 459 at nine feet. Height is a multiplier, not a rounding error, and it is the most common reason a correctly chosen machine reads as absent.
3
The purchase
At 180 cubic metres you are buying a locked level, not coverage
Here is the honest position. The SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is rated at roughly 1000m³, so against a 170 to 198m³ front of house it is around five times the coverage required and will run near the bottom of its range - which happens to be the correct setting for a wealth office anyway. Be clear about what the money buys, because it is not square metres. It is waterless cold-air nebulising, so there is no tank, no fill routine and no water going into a room full of paper and screens. It is Bluetooth app and timer scheduling, which is how a level gets locked so that olfactory adaptation does not walk it upwards over six months, and how you drop it to nothing for a difficult meeting or an evening event without anyone touching the machine. And it is one even level from the entrance to the far end of the circulation space rather than a strong spot near a unit. If that is not worth ₹11,999 to you today, say so: a Megh 6L at ₹3,499 for an open reception, or a Sukoon at ₹1,899 with a register from ₹299 for a compact one, are real answers at this volume and not downgrades. We would rather size you correctly than sell you the top of the ladder.
Tip: at 184 cubic metres the Vaayu is bought for a locked schedule and no water tank, not for coverage.
The SOSA principle
The number on your lease is not the number you scent. Size the connected front of house - in an 1,800 sq ft wealth office that is nearer 180 cubic metres than 510.
Cabins and meeting rooms are separate air behind doors, and they are a separate decision: a reed from ₹749, or in one room, nothing at all.

The SOSA commercial edit
Whatever your business sells, the system logic is the same: one signature, sized to the space, scheduled so it never depends on anyone's memory. A single small room or a consultation corner can sit happily on reeds with no power at all; a customer-facing floor wants the Vaayu; a venue or a flagship wants HVAC. Every SOSA system is supported from India, and the Hotel Collection blends - SOSA's own hotel-inspired interpretations - run across the powered ones. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Here is the full commercial range.

Honest notes for business owners: scenting compounds a well-run premises and rescues nothing. Ventilation, air-conditioning and cleaning come first, and fragrance never substitutes for hygiene or air quality - if the air is stale, damp or smoky, fix that at the source before any scent goes in. The people most exposed to the fragrance are not your customers but your STAFF, who work eight-hour shifts in it, which is why whisper calibration and locked settings are standard on every SOSA commercial install, and any staff sensitivity report should be treated as a recalibration signal rather than a complaint. Healthcare and wellness spaces need extra restraint: keep scenting to reception and circulation areas, never treatment rooms, and the practitioner's judgement overrides anything in this guide. The Hotel Collection scents are SOSA's own hotel-inspired interpretations; SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house, not affiliated with or endorsed by any hotel brand. Ultrasonic systems use the water-based Hotel Collection fragrance; the Vaayu and HVAC systems run waterless nebulising oil - the formats are not interchangeable. WhatsApp consult: +91 96192 18531. ISIPCA Versailles
A note from Sonal
I have walked into jewellery showrooms lit like museums, bridal boutiques with hand-embroidered walls, furniture floors styled down to the last cushion, clinics with better art than most galleries - and in almost every one of them, the air was an afterthought. Floor polish, packaging cartons, the phenyl from the morning mopping, the workshop or the loading bay drifting forward. The one thing every customer takes in before they see anything is the thing most businesses leave to chance.
I trained at ISIPCA in Versailles, where the world's scent-marketing perfumers learn the craft, and what I build for Indian businesses is the same architecture the global hospitality brands use, whatever you sell: one signature, sized to the space, run on a schedule - so the scent is as reliable as your lighting. A consultation corner may only need reeds; a full floor needs the Vaayu; a venue needs the HVAC systems. If you want it applied to your specific premises, message us on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 with the type of space and its approximate size - I read those descriptions myself.
Everything is made or assembled for Indian conditions, supported from Pune - and a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Your brand gets a memory; a girl gets a classroom. That equation has always felt right to me.
Frequently asked questions
Should I count the corridor between the cabins in my volume?
Count it if it is open to the reception and clients walk it, because then it is shared air and part of the space you are dosing. Leave it out if it is behind a door or if it is a back-of-house passage running past the records room to the kitchenette. The distinction is not academic: a 150 sq ft circulation spine at a nine-foot ceiling is 1,350 cubic feet, about 38 cubic metres, so including or excluding it moves a 166 cubic metre calculation by about a fifth. If in doubt, walk the route a client takes from your door to a meeting room and count only what they pass through with doors in their normal position.
Our office is 1,800 sq ft but the reception is small. What then?
Then you almost certainly need less machine than the lease implies, and this is the most common outcome of doing the arithmetic honestly. A 250 sq ft reception at a nine-foot ceiling is 2,250 cubic feet, which is about 64 cubic metres - a single enclosed room by any measure, comfortably inside what a Sukoon at Rs 1,899 handles with a water-based register from Rs 299. Practices in that position usually find the better spend is elsewhere: a reed diffuser from Rs 749 in each cabin and the washroom, and the difference put into the things clients actually notice in a small reception, like seating and where the printer lives. Send the reception dimensions rather than the whole floor plan to +91 96192 18531 and we will tell you the smallest thing that works.
Do I need a second machine for the meeting rooms?
Usually not, and often you should not scent them separately at all. A meeting room of 200 sq ft at a ten-foot ceiling is 2,000 cubic feet, about 57 cubic metres, and when the door is open before a meeting it fills with the front-of-house air by itself, which is exactly the level you want it to have: the tail of the register rather than a dose of it. Putting a second unit inside the room raises it above the corridor and makes the fragrance a feature of the meeting, which is the wrong direction, and it is a particularly bad idea in the room where clients hear difficult news. If a meeting room is genuinely isolated and smells stale, the fix is airing and ventilation rather than a machine.
We are taking the adjoining suite next year. Should I buy for that now?
It depends entirely on whether the two suites will share air. If you knock through and the reception becomes one connected space across both, then yes, size for the future: a 1,300 sq ft connected front of house at ten feet is 13,000 cubic feet, about 368 cubic metres, and the Vaayu at Rs 11,999 absorbs that without a second purchase. If the adjoining suite is reached through a door and becomes more cabins and meeting rooms, your connected volume barely changes and your current machine is still correctly sized - you are adding closed rooms, which are a reed decision or no decision at all. Buy for the plan you have actually signed, and tell us what it looks like on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531.
Would a bigger HVAC system be a better long-term answer for an office this size?
Not at 1,800 sq ft. The SOSA Aangan at Rs 25,999 is built for approximately 8,000 to 10,000 sq ft and the Meenar at Rs 38,500 for approximately 12,000 to 18,000 sq ft, so both are several times more system than this office needs, and a ducted install also requires the building's air handling to be yours to work with, which in a tenanted floor it usually is not. The right answer here is a single freestanding machine in the connected front of house and reeds in the closed rooms that want anything at all. If you run several offices and are thinking about consistency across them, that is a different conversation and worth having properly - message us with how many floors and roughly what sizes.

Facts verified August 2026: Ambient scent research consistently associates pleasant, congruent scenting with improved evaluations of a space and its service, longer dwell time and stronger brand recall at moderate effect sizes; congruence (scent matching the setting) and gentle intensity outperform strong scenting in replicated studies, and no scent effect survives poor ventilation, poor cleaning or poor indoor air quality. Olfactory memory is unusually durable: scent-linked brand memories persist and retrieve for years, which is the mechanism behind signature scents. Staff exposure is the design constraint, since employees breathe the fragrance for full shifts: whisper calibration, locked settings and sensitivity accommodations are standard practice, and healthcare and wellness settings call for extra restraint. SOSA systems: alcohol-free reed diffusers from ₹749 for single rooms with no power needed; Sukoon 500ml ultrasonic (₹1,899) and Megh 6L ultrasonic (₹3,499) run the water-based Hotel Collection fragrance (from ₹299; refills from ₹999, 100ml ₹999); SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is a waterless cold-air nebulising machine, ~1000m³ coverage, Bluetooth app and timer; SOSA Aangan (₹25,999) and SOSA Meenar (₹38,500) are HVAC nebulising systems for approximately 8,000-10,000 and 12,000-18,000 sq ft respectively.
