Three machines, chosen on air volume and on whether the space is genuinely enclosed, and most commercial rooms in this city need the smallest of them.
Quick answers — read this first
What is the difference between Vaayu, Aangan and Meenar? Scale of space. The Vaayu at ₹11,999 is a standalone unit for an enclosed commercial room. The Aangan at ₹25,999 covers 8,000 to 10,000 sq ft, and the Meenar at ₹38,500 covers 12,000 to 18,000 sq ft, for large connected enclosed volumes.

How do I choose between them? On air volume including ceiling height, and on whether the volume is one connected enclosed space. A large area split into rooms with doors is not a case for a larger machine; it is a case for several small ones.

Which does a typical Ahmedabad showroom need? Usually a Vaayu per enclosed room. Stepping up is justified by a genuinely large single enclosed volume, not by total premises area.
The short answer
Short answer: Vaayu for a room, Aangan and Meenar for one large enclosed volume.
The pick: the SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 per enclosed room on Hotel Collection fragrance from ₹299, with an Aangan at ₹25,999 or a Meenar at ₹38,500 only where the air volume genuinely calls for it.
Sizing? WhatsApp +91 96192 18531 with your room-by-room areas and ceiling heights, AC type, door traffic, which zones must stay unscented, and who will own the setting day to day - remote sizing from your own measurements, no site visit needed outside Pune.
How SOSA sizes a commercial space - the order that actually worksStep 1 - find the source: solvents, sanitiser, footwear, drains, AC filters, stale airStep 2 - draw the air volume, not the floor plan: doors and partitions divide itStep 3 - decide which zones stay unscented, and write that downStep 4 - set intensity low and schedule it around your peakStep 5 - re-check after two weeks, then leave it alone
Commercial scenting goes wrong in a predictable order: somebody buys a machine to cover a smell that has a source, puts it where the socket is, runs it at full intensity because day one felt weak, and ends up with a room people comment on for the wrong reason. Source first, air volume second, unscented zones written down third, low intensity and a schedule fourth. This guide walks that sequence, with the real SOSA machine range at each size.
Straight answer
Which SOSA machine suits which kind of Ahmedabad space?
Air volume decides, and connectedness decides before that. The Vaayu at ₹11,999. A standalone cold-air unit for an enclosed commercial room - a showroom floor, a consultation room, a lounge, a reception, a handover room, a bridal room. This is the correct machine for the overwhelming majority of rooms in the overwhelming majority of Ahmedabad businesses, and one per room is the normal configuration. The Aangan at ₹25,999, a nebulising diffuser for 8,000 to 10,000 sq ft, and the Meenar at ₹38,500 for 12,000 to 18,000 sq ft. These are for a genuinely large connected enclosed volume - a single large showroom floor, a hotel lobby and connected public areas, a large corporate ground floor on one air handling system. The test that comes before size. Is it one volume? A 10,000 sq ft premises divided into eight rooms with doors is not a 10,000 sq ft space; fragrance does not cross a closed door, so it is eight spaces and a large machine will treat whichever one it is standing in. That is the most expensive mistake available in this category, and it is made by reading total area off a plan. Ceiling height is the second half of the sizing. A stated square-foot range assumes an ordinary ceiling; at eighteen or twenty feet the same floor area is a much larger volume, and coverage falls accordingly. Measure height and say it out loud when you ask for a recommendation. When none of the three is the answer. Semi-open spaces - courtyards, covered forecourts, lobbies with automatic doors, halls with vehicle doors - hold nothing at any output, and the honest answer is that no machine on this list works there. Staff work floors, where Staff work floors are not scented. Ask the people who sit there individually and privately, and treat one objection as decisive - it is a veto, not a vote. And any room where a smell needs fixing at source, which is a drainage, extraction or cleaning job first. The connected alternative worth pricing. If the rooms you want scented are all on one central air handling system, integrating with it treats them together, and that is worth comparing against several standalone units before you buy either. The fragrance decision is separate and is the same whichever machine you choose: one register from Hotel Collection at ₹299 upward, held across the year with only the level changing. What to ask for in writing before buying anything. The air volume the recommendation assumes, the ceiling height it assumes, the intended run hours, and the fragrance consumption at that setting. We will not invent a consumption figure for you. Ask for the actual fragrance consumption at the setting and hours you intend to run, for the room you have, and get it in writing before you budget. Key-lock the unit, write the target as a perceived level rather than a dial number, name one owner, and allow changes only at a scheduled recheck. Drift happens through small reasonable adjustments nobody reverses. SOSA makes no claim that ambient scenting affects footfall, enquiries, dwell time, conversion or sales, and we make no therapeutic, psychological or air-purification claims for any fragrance. Fragrance is an ambience decision and never a substitute for ventilation, cleaning or source control. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
One line: ask whether it is one volume before you ask how big it is.

The three, and what decides between them

Reading total premises area off a plan is how businesses buy a machine three times larger than they need.

Why this works
Choosing between the three
1 Ask first whether it is one connected enclosed volume, or several rooms 2 Measure ceiling height, and state it when asking for a recommendation 3 Vaayu per enclosed room; step up only for a genuinely large single volume 4 Get the assumed volume, hours and fragrance consumption in writing
Per enclosed room, on air volume: SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999, fragrance from ₹299, larger connected volumes on Aangan at ₹25,999 or Meenar at ₹38,500.
01
One volume or several
Asked before size
Ten thousand square feet divided into eight rooms with doors is eight spaces, and a large machine treats whichever one it stands in. This is the most expensive mistake in the category and it comes from reading area off a plan.
Tip: Doors divide the building into separate problems.
02
Height is half the sizing
And usually unstated
A square-foot range assumes an ordinary ceiling, and at eighteen or twenty feet the same plan is a far larger volume. Measure it and say it out loud when you ask, because nobody quoting from a plan will ask you.
Tip: Say the ceiling height unprompted.
03
Sometimes none of them
And we would rather say so
Semi-open spaces hold nothing at any output, work floors are not scented, and a smell needing source control is a different job. No machine on this list is the answer in those cases.
Tip: Some spaces are not a purchase.
The SOSA principle
Ten thousand square feet split into eight rooms is eight spaces, not one.
Which is why the biggest machine is so often the wrong purchase.

The fragrance is the same decision

The fragrance choice is the same decision whichever machine you pick: one register held across the year, with only the level changing by season.

The SOSA commercial range

Whatever the space, the method is the same: find the source of any smell and fix it, draw the air volume rather than the floor plan, write down which zones stay unscented, then set a low intensity and a schedule. Every SOSA fragrance is alcohol-free and made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Here is the range by the size of space it is honestly built for.

The SOSA commercial range
Sized by air volume, not by ambition - from a ₹749 reed diffuser to the ₹38,500 Meenar
Option Right for What it actually is Price
Reed diffusers One small room, no power point, no maintenance Alcohol-free reed oil, passive, silent. Good for a single cabin or a small front desk, not for a hall from ₹749
Boond / Sukoon ultrasonic A desk, a single cabin, a small reception Water-based cool mist; runs on Hotel Collection fragrance, adds a little humidity to the room ₹899 / ₹1,899
Megh ultrasonic (6L) A larger waiting area where visible mist is wanted 6L tank, water-based. Still a room machine rather than a floor machine ₹3,499
SOSA Vaayu Reception, lounge, corridor, a contained showroom floor Waterless cold-air, up to 1000m³ (about 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft), 400ml tank, app and 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, under 38 dB, key-lock for public areas ₹11,999
SOSA Aangan Large premises, or scenting carried on the building's own HVAC HVAC-mount nebulising machine, 800ml, roughly 8,000 to 10,000 sq ft, under 42 dB ₹25,999
SOSA Meenar Hotels, large showrooms, venues, corporate floors The largest machine in the range, specified for roughly 12,000 to 18,000 sq ft ₹38,500
Hotel Collection fragrance The fragrance the machines actually run on Seven scents, 15ml / 100ml / 300ml. SOSA's own interpretations; SOSA is independent and not affiliated with any hotel brand from ₹299
Honest notes on a whole-business decision: fragrance is an ambience decision only and is never a substitute for ventilation, cleaning or source control, and any odour with a source is a source-control matter first. Machines are specified by air volume including ceiling height rather than by floor area or by budget, and a larger machine is not a better one in a smaller volume. Open and semi-open spaces cannot hold fragrance at any output. Levels drift upward when nobody owns them, so a named owner, a written setting and a fixed review date are part of the specification rather than an afterthought. SOSA makes no claim that ambient scenting increases footfall, enquiries, conversion, retention, referrals, transaction value or customer spend, and no such claim should be made on the strength of this guide. Where association language is used it is descriptive of ordinary experience - people come to associate a place with how it feels - and is not a commercial performance claim. Ultrasonic diffusers and the machines run on the Hotel Collection fragrance; reed diffusers use their own alcohol-free reed oil, and the two are not interchangeable. The Hotel Collection scents are SOSA's own interpretations inspired by the world's finest hotels; SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or associated with any hotel brand. SOSA's fragrances are made in India; the scent machines are imported. Listed prices are store prices and are subject to change. SOSA's paid on-site walkthrough is ₹1,500 and is Pune only - everywhere else, sizing is done remotely over WhatsApp from your own measurements. SOSA Sukoon ultrasonic cool mist diffuser
The small-room option Sukoon ultrasonic diffuser ₹1,899 A 500ml water-based cool-mist diffuser for a single cabin or a small desk. It adds a little humidity to the room, which is the reason it is not the choice for a monsoon-season space. See full specs →Size it on WhatsApp

A note from Sonal

By the time somebody in Ahmedabad calls me about scenting, they have usually decided to buy something and want help choosing it. The most useful thing I can do at that point is slow the order down by one conversation, because the sequence matters more than the product: source control, then ventilation, then cleaning, then lighting and upkeep, and only then the air. A machine bought before those are settled will be blamed for problems it was never able to solve.

Then the sizing, which is where money is most often wasted in both directions. Air volume decides the machine, not floor area and not budget. A double-height gallery and a low-ceilinged reception of identical floor area are different problems, and a business that buys the largest unit because it is the most expensive usually ends up running it at its lowest setting forever. If the smallest machine is enough, I will say so.

And the part nobody plans for: ownership. A level that nobody owns drifts upward, because staff stop noticing it and turn it up. One named person, one written setting, one fixed date to check it - that is the whole of the governance, and it is the difference between a room that reads as considered in year three and one that reads as heavy. Fragrance is an ambience decision, never a substitute for ventilation, cleaning or source control, and I make no claim about what it returns commercially. WhatsApp +91 96192 18531. A part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the three?
Scale. Vaayu at Rs 11,999 for an enclosed room, Aangan at Rs 25,999 for 8,000 to 10,000 sq ft, Meenar at Rs 38,500 for 12,000 to 18,000 sq ft.
How do I choose?
On air volume including ceiling height, and only after establishing whether the space is one connected enclosed volume.
Does total premises area decide it?
No. A large area split into rooms with doors is a case for several small units, not one large one.
What if my space is semi-open?
None of the three works. A courtyard, covered forecourt or hall with vehicle doors holds nothing at any output.
What should I get in writing?
The assumed air volume, assumed ceiling height, intended run hours, and fragrance consumption at that setting.

About this guide: Written by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles-trained founder and perfumer at SOSA Home & Body. Product recommendations reflect the SOSA range; the sizing and zoning method applies whatever equipment a business finally buys.

Facts verified September 2026: Fragrance is an ambience decision only and is never a substitute for ventilation, cleaning or source control. Coverage is determined by air volume including ceiling height rather than by floor area, and fragrance does not travel through closed doors, so a multi-room premises is specified by counting qualifying volumes rather than rooms. Open and semi-open spaces cannot hold fragrance at any output. Perceived intensity falls with habituation, which is why an unowned setting tends to be increased over time; a named owner, a written level and a fixed review date are part of the specification. Running cost comprises fragrance consumption, electricity and filter upkeep and varies with runtime, setting and volume.
