One register family across the group, sized and set per property, and the honest answer is that the connection guests notice is carried by standards rather than by a fragrance.
Quick answers — read this first
Should a hospitality group use one scent across all properties? One register family keeps the group coherent for guests who visit more than one property, but each room is sized and set separately because volumes, uses and dwell patterns differ substantially.

Do guests actually connect properties by scent? Rarely, unless they visit several within a short period. The connection guests notice is carried by service standards, consistency and quality rather than by fragrance.

What is the practical structure? One register, per-property sizing, a written group standard, key-locked machines, one named owner and a monthly check. A SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 per volume, from ₹299.
The short answer
Short answer: One register family, sized per property. The group connection guests notice comes from standards, not from a bottle.
The pick: the SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 for one enclosed volume up to about 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft of connected space, the Aangan at ₹25,999 for a genuinely large enclosed hall, SOSA reed diffusers from ₹749 for small or long-dwell rooms, on Hotel Collection fragrance from ₹299. Open and semi-open areas are specified as nothing.
Sizing? WhatsApp +91 96192 18531 with a list of every area with its rough volume and ceiling height, which ones are enclosed, and what each already smells of - remote sizing from your own measurements, no site visit needed outside Pune.
How SOSA sizes a commercial space - the order that actually worksStep 1 - find the source: solvents, sanitiser, footwear, drains, AC filters, stale airStep 2 - draw the air volume, not the floor plan: doors and partitions divide itStep 3 - decide which zones stay unscented, and write that downStep 4 - set intensity low and schedule it around your peakStep 5 - re-check after two weeks, then leave it alone
Commercial scenting goes wrong in a predictable order: somebody buys a machine to cover a smell that has a source, puts it where the socket is, runs it at full intensity because day one felt weak, and ends up with a room people comment on for the wrong reason. Source first, air volume second, unscented zones written down third, low intensity and a schedule fourth. This guide walks that sequence, with the real SOSA machine range at each size.
Straight answer
Should a hospitality group's hotel, wedding venue and villa share one scent identity?
One register family, delivered differently at each property, with the caveat that fragrance is a weaker connector than the group's standards are. Why one register: a guest who stays at the hotel, attends an event at the venue and views the villa within a season experiences a coherent group if the register is shared, and procurement, training and stock are all simpler. Why not one setting: the three properties have fundamentally different conditions. A hotel lobby is occupied continuously by guests who keep re-entering from outside; a wedding venue is mostly outdoor and dining space where the honest specification is nothing in most areas; a villa is a domestic space where a commercial level immediately reads wrong. Copying a setting between them produces three different results. So: same register, per-property sizing, and per-room levels by dwell. The honest caveat is worth stating. Guests rarely connect properties by fragrance unless they visit several within a short window, and SOSA makes no claim that scenting affects bookings, recognition, referrals or spend. What guests actually notice across a group is whether the service standards, the cleanliness, the lighting and the general condition are consistent - and a group that is consistent in those is recognisable whether or not it shares a register. Treat the scent as a small supporting element of an existing standard, not as the connector itself. The administrative structure is what makes it hold: a written group standard naming the register, the per-room settings at each property, unit locations and refill intervals; key-locked machines, because three sites with three adapted teams will otherwise drift to three different levels within a year; one named owner across the group; and a monthly check, because an empty machine looks exactly like a working one and across three properties one of them is probably out right now. Specification: a SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 per enclosed volume, the Aangan at ₹25,999 for a large hall, reeds from ₹749 for bedrooms and long-dwell rooms, on one Hotel Collection register from ₹299. SOSA is not affiliated with any hotel brand. Fragrance is an ambience decision and never a substitute for ventilation, cleaning or source control. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
One line: share the bottle, never the setting, and do not ask fragrance to carry the group.
One register across three properties, sized per room: a SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 per volume, reeds from ₹749. Fragrance from ₹299.

One family, not one setting

Groups usually frame this as a brand question, and the parts that decide it are operational.

Why this works
Structuring it across three properties
1 One register family, chosen to suit all three property types 2 Size and set every room separately, by volume and by dwell 3 A written group standard, key-locked machines, one named owner 4 A monthly check at every property that each unit runs and is stocked
The machine sized per enclosed volume rather than per property: the SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 - waterless, under 38 dB, app and timer control, key-locked. Fragrance from ₹299.
01
Three different problems
A hotel, a venue and a house
A hotel lobby needs a low locked level for guests who re-enter from outside all day; a wedding venue is largely outdoor and dining space where most of the plan is deliberately nothing; a villa should read as domestic, which means markedly lower than either. The same setting across all three is wrong in at least two of them, and usually in the one nobody visits from head office.
Tip: The same setting is wrong in at least two of the three.
02
Fragrance is a weak connector
Standards are the strong one
Guests recognise a group by whether service, cleanliness, lighting and condition are consistent, not by a shared register they encounter months apart. Asking fragrance to carry brand cohesion overloads a small item, and it is worth saying plainly given that we sell the small item. Let it support a standard that already exists.
03
Three sites drift
And nobody is comparing
Each property judges its own level with noses that adapted by half past nine, and nobody experiences two properties on the same day with a fresh nose. Within a year the three are at levels nobody chose, which is precisely the inconsistency a shared register was meant to prevent. Key locks, a written standard and one owner are the whole fix.
Tip: Across three properties, one is probably out of fragrance today.
The SOSA principle
Guests recognise a group by its standards. The register supports that; it cannot replace it.
Which is worth saying from a company that sells the register.

What actually connects a group

Because the register is shared, changing it means changing three properties at once, which is one more reason to choose something durable and unremarkable and then leave it alone.

The SOSA scent edit
Across the group
Scent Why it suits the mood
Register One family across all three - simpler stock, training and coherence
Hotel Low locked level in enclosed public rooms; guest rooms on reeds
Wedding venue Mostly nothing - outdoor, dining and flower-heavy areas excluded
Villa Markedly lower than either - it should read as domestic

The SOSA commercial range

Whatever the space, the method is the same: find the source of any smell and fix it, draw the air volume rather than the floor plan, write down which zones stay unscented, then set a low intensity and a schedule. Every SOSA fragrance is alcohol-free and made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Here is the range by the size of space it is honestly built for.

The SOSA commercial range
Sized by air volume, not by ambition - from a ₹749 reed diffuser to the ₹38,500 Meenar

SOSA Meenar Hotels, large showrooms, venues, corporate floors The largest machine in the range, specified for roughly 12,000 to 18,000 sq ft ₹38,500

Honest notes for whole-property decisions: fragrance is an ambience decision only and never a substitute for ventilation, cleaning, damp remediation or source control, and on an older property the first step is to identify and protect or repair what each area already smells of. Fragrance introduced into a semi-open or outdoor volume is carried away by air that does not stay in the space, so it is spent rather than used. This is a physical limit and not a machine limit: no output setting makes an open courtyard hold a scent. Dining areas should be left unscented, rooms with long dwell should be set lower than entrances, and unscented areas should be available for guests and customers with fragrance sensitivity. Where a property already has a pleasant natural character, no scenting is a legitimate specification. SOSA makes no claim that ambient scenting increases bookings, enquiries, conversion, retention, referrals, transaction value or guest spend, and no such claim should be made on the strength of this guide. Where memory or association language is used it is descriptive of ordinary experience - people come to associate a place with how it felt - and is not a commercial performance claim, nor a claim about mood, sleep, stress, calm or any other therapeutic effect. Ultrasonic diffusers and the machines run on the Hotel Collection fragrance; reed diffusers use their own alcohol-free reed oil, and the two are not interchangeable. The Hotel Collection scents are SOSA's own interpretations inspired by the world's finest hotels; SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or associated with any hotel brand. SOSA's fragrances are made in India; the scent machines are imported. Listed prices are store prices and are subject to change. A note from Sonal

These are the long questions, and they get the same short discipline. Walk the property and write two lists: areas that are genuinely enclosed, and what each area already smells of. Everything else follows from those two columns, and most of the disagreements I have with owners dissolve once the lists exist on paper rather than in the head.

The answer that surprises people is that sometimes the right specification is nothing at all. A property with old stone, watered courtyards, wood and a kitchen doing good work has a smell that money cannot buy and a machine can easily spoil. I have talked more than one Jaipur owner out of a purchase, and I would rather do that than have a beautiful building smell like a lobby in any other city.

The limits apply everywhere in this cluster. Fragrance is an ambience decision, never a substitute for ventilation, cleaning or source control. SOSA is not affiliated with any hotel brand, and no claim is made about bookings, sales, memory or mood. For a walkthrough, WhatsApp me on +91 96192 18531. Frequently asked questions

Should a group use one scent across all properties?
One register family keeps the group coherent, but each room should be sized and set separately because the properties have fundamentally different conditions.
Do guests connect properties by fragrance?
Rarely, unless they visit several within a short period. Consistency of service, cleanliness, lighting and condition is what guests actually recognise.
Why can't the settings match?
A hotel lobby, a mostly outdoor wedding venue and a domestic villa have different volumes, uses and dwell patterns, so one setting is wrong in at least two.
What causes drift between properties?
Each site judges its own level with adapted noses, and nobody experiences two properties on the same day with a fresh nose.
What holds it together?
A written group standard, key-locked machines, one named owner and a monthly check. WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.
