What is the price range? From Rs 299 for the Hotel Collection concentrate, which needs an ultrasonic diffuser, through Rs 379 candles and attars, Rs 459 solid perfumes, Rs 449 car perfumes, Rs 749 reed diffusers and Rs 1,055 for the Attar Trio, up to Rs 11,999 for the Vaayu.
When should the gift arrive? Week two or three. Congratulations come in a forty-eight hour burst and then stop dead, so a gift arriving afterwards lands with no competition at all.
Three axes, four rules and two honest limits
Everything in this cluster reduces to three questions asked in a fixed order, plus four rules that hold regardless of the answers and two honest limits this shop would rather state than sell around. Start with the first axis, which is the achievement, because it decides the format and the format matters more than the price. A first home is the tightest fit in the entire range. A new flat has no smell of its own for the first few weeks beyond paint, cardboard and whatever the handover left behind, and whatever goes into that gap tends to become what the place smells like in memory. A reed diffuser at seven hundred and forty-nine to eight hundred and forty-nine rupees is the right object: its own alcohol-free reed oil drawn up rattan by capillary action, a minute to set up, then nothing - no flame, no socket, no switch, which matters enormously in a home where nothing is unpacked and everybody is exhausted. Morning Freshness is seven hundred and forty-nine, Garden Bloom and Evening Calm seven hundred and ninety-nine, Mountain Breeze and Fresh Brew eight hundred and forty-nine, the 130ml size starts at one thousand two hundred and forty-nine, and refills are two thousand three hundred and ninety-nine for three hundred millilitres or three thousand four hundred and ninety-nine for five hundred. A first car takes a hanging car perfume at four hundred and forty-nine to five hundred and nine rupees. Jasmine four hundred and forty-nine, Lavender and Sandalwood four hundred and seventy-nine, Icy Mint four hundred and eighty-nine, Lemon four hundred and ninety-nine, Vetiver, Sea Breeze and Oud five hundred and nine, combination packs eight hundred and ninety-nine to nine hundred and forty-nine, fifteen-millilitre refills three hundred and ninety-nine to four hundred and forty-nine, a discovery set of three at six hundred and ninety-nine, the Mysore Orange Blossom spray at five hundred and forty-nine, and the waterless SOSA Safar at three thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine. A public achievement - an award, a promotion, a qualification, a first big client, a business milestone - takes a worn fragrance, because the public recognition has already happened and the gift does not need to repeat it. An alcohol-free attar is twelve millilitres of undiluted perfume oil in a glass roll-on with no alcohol carrier, so it opens quietly and stays within roughly an arm's length rather than filling a room: Adaa at three hundred and seventy-nine with bergamot, green cardamom, jasmine sambac and white musk; Ameeri at three hundred and eighty-five with Taif rose and Indian sandalwood; Mastani at three hundred and eighty-nine with night jasmine and Damask rose; Nawaab at three hundred and ninety-nine, a white oud composition built with Mysore sandalwood and Kashmir saffron rather than a dehn al oud distillate. A private achievement - a finished manuscript, a marathon, a long personal goal, a habit broken - takes a candle or a solid perfume, and this is where a gift does the most work of anywhere in the cluster, because nobody threw a party. A coconut-soy candle at three hundred and seventy-nine rupees has a lead-free eco wick, is phthalate-free, hand-poured in small batches in Pune and burns fifteen to eighteen hours, in Misty Mornings with Nilgiri orchid and sun-ripened nectarine, Bookshop with cedarwood, sage and lemon, Evening Walks with frankincense and tonka, or Cozy Corner with spiced pear and golden honey. A solid perfume at four hundred and fifty-nine to five hundred and forty-nine is fifteen grams of alcohol-free balm in a flat compact, applied with a finger, spill-proof, six to eight hours, surviving months in a bag - the format that gets carried through a long effort rather than displayed after it. Sway four hundred and fifty-nine, Sterling four hundred and sixty-nine, Velour four hundred and seventy-nine, Siren four hundred and eighty-nine, Titan five hundred, Beast five hundred and forty-nine. Second axis: the relationship, which sets the ceiling. This is the axis people get wrong most often, because they size the gift to the achievement instead. A congratulations gift is not repaying anything - the recipient achieved it on their own account, no exchange is taking place in either direction, and no ledger exists to be tipped. That means the usual anxiety about giving too much largely does not apply, and the actual limit is what can pass between the two of you without becoming strange. For a sibling, a spouse, a parent, an adult child or a close friend, that limit is high and you are allowed to mark something properly. For a colleague, a client, a vendor or somebody you know socially but not well, it is low no matter how enormous the achievement was, and the correct response there is a better small gift rather than a bigger one. Third axis: the budget, which decides completeness rather than impressiveness. Under five hundred rupees you are choosing one complete object - a candle at three hundred and seventy-nine, an attar at three hundred and seventy-nine, a solid perfume at four hundred and fifty-nine, a car perfume at four hundred and forty-nine - and the rule is that a whole small thing always beats a fraction of a larger one. Between five hundred and one thousand, a reed diffuser at seven hundred and forty-nine to eight hundred and forty-nine, a car discovery set at six hundred and ninety-nine, or two complete objects that fit together. Between one thousand and two thousand, the Attar Trio at one thousand and fifty-five, which is the single most reliable gift in the cluster because it hands the choice back, the 130ml reed from one thousand two hundred and forty-nine, or the Sukoon ultrasonic diffuser at one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine paired with the water-based Hotel Collection concentrate at two hundred and ninety-nine. Above two thousand, a reed with its refill so the flat smells of one thing for a year rather than ten weeks, nebuliser refills at one thousand and forty-nine for a hundred grams or one thousand eight hundred and forty-nine for three hundred, the Megh at three thousand four hundred and ninety-nine for a genuinely large open space, the Safar at three thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine where the car was the achievement, or hotel-inspired sets at four thousand four hundred and ninety-nine. Now the four rules that hold regardless. One: send it in week two or three. Congratulations do not taper, they stop - the announcement produces two days of constant messages and then by day four the feed has moved on and the person who spent three years on it is back at an ordinary desk. A gift arriving then lands in an empty field and says somebody was still thinking about this after everybody else had stopped. Two: write the note about the achievement rather than your feelings - what they did, what it cost them, the part nobody else saw. Three sentences, and it is the part still in a drawer years later. Three: a first only happens once. The first home, the first car, the first book, the first big client - the second one gets nothing like the same response and should not be given the same gift. Four: never give a machine with nothing to run in it, and never mix the systems. Reed oil goes in reeds. The Hotel Collection concentrate is water-based and ultrasonic-only at three to six drops per tank, across seven registers - Quiet Luxury with white tea, bergamot and cedar; White Tea Serenity with white tea, aloe and cedar; Forest Suite with cedarwood, vetiver and green leaves; Old-World Glamour with amber, violet and woods; Tea Garden with jasmine, green tea and white tea; Warm Welcome with citrus, floral and sandalwood; Lobby Bar with citrus, pepper and amber. These are SOSA's own interpretations and the shop is independent and not affiliated with any hotel brand. Wax melts at four hundred and seventy-four rupees need a ceramic burner at five hundred and sixty-nine. And the two honest limits. The first: do not buy car fragrance to cover the smell of a new car. Most new owners like that smell, it fades on its own within a few weeks, and a fragrance bought to mask it solves a problem the recipient does not have and may quietly resent. Give it as something to put up when they are ready, in a restrained register - Vetiver and Sandalwood are dry and woody, and sweet is the failure mode most drivers guard against. The second: the SOSA Vaayu at eleven thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine rupees is a waterless nebuliser built for roughly one thousand cubic metres. That is commercial scale - a lobby, a showroom, a restaurant floor, a large clinic. If somebody opened a second store or took a large commercial space it is exactly right. For a flat, or even a large standard three-bedroom house, it is oversized, and an oversized diffuser is not a more luxurious experience but an uncomfortable one. We would rather say that than take the sale. Three final notes. The cheapest thing in the shop is the fifteen-millilitre Hotel Collection concentrate at two hundred and ninety-nine rupees, and nothing exists below it - it is a good gift only where you know an ultrasonic diffuser is already owned. Where these pages describe a fragrance becoming attached to a stretch of somebody's life, that is a widely reported experience rather than a scientific or medical claim, and no mechanism is asserted. And if the achievement is being marked at somebody's workplace, they may be covered by an employer gift policy that caps or requires declaration of what they can accept - their policy governs, and nothing here is legal or compliance advice.

Versailles
There is a pattern I noticed years before we sold anything, and it is the reason this section exists. Somebody achieves something that took them years - the flat, the first car bought outright, the manuscript finished at last - and for about forty-eight hours the phone does not stop. Then it stops completely. The achievement took three years; the celebrating took a weekend, and then everybody went back to their own lives, which is not unkind, it is just how attention works.
Which means a gift arriving in week two or three lands in an empty field. That is the single most useful thing on any of these pages and it costs nothing. The second is that a congratulations gift is not repaying anything: nobody owes anybody here, so there is no ledger to balance and no risk of over-gifting into an obligation. You are free to be as generous as the relationship allows. And write the note about what they did, not about how you feel - name the four years, the thing they gave up, the draft they rewrote eleven times.
Two honest things. If somebody has just bought a new car, do not buy them something to cover the smell of it - most new owners like it, it fades on its own, and a fragrance is better introduced a few weeks later in a restrained register. And if somebody has bought a new home, size the gift to the home: our Vaayu is a waterless nebuliser built for spaces of roughly a thousand cubic metres, which is a hotel lobby rather than a three-bedroom flat, and we would rather tell you that than sell you one. Message us on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 with what they achieved and what their place is like, and we will say honestly if we think fragrance is the wrong call. A portion of every order supports girl-child education.
