The rule: adjacent rooms must share a note — white tea, cedar, citrus or amber — so the doorway reads as one home.
To audition: the Pack of 7 at ₹1,799 gives you 15ml of all seven scents, which is how you build a palette rather than guess at one.
2. Behind the bedroom doors, quieter. Either the same fragrance at three drops instead of five, or a close relative. Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity is the natural partner to Quiet Luxury: the same white tea and cedar, softened with aloe.
3. Adjacent rooms must share a note. This is the whole trick. Two scents that share white tea, or cedar, or citrus, or amber will pass through a doorway without registering as a change. Two that share nothing produce a third accord in the passage, and it is never a good one.
4. Three unrelated scents is the classic mistake. Buying by room — something fresh for the living room, something floral for the bedroom, something sweet for the second bedroom — gives you a flat that smells like a shop counter. Choose a family first, then choose within it.
5. Audition before you commit. A Pack of 7 at ₹1,799 buys 15ml of every scent in the range, which is the sensible way to test a multi-room palette before spending ₹1,799 on a single 300ml bottle.

Why the doorway decides your combination
Inside a closed room, a fragrance is a solved problem: the air is still, the dose is yours to set, and your nose settles into it within twenty minutes. The interesting part of a multi-room home is the two seconds you spend in the doorway, where two air masses meet and you smell both at once with a nose that has not yet adapted to either. That moment is the only time you consciously experience your home's fragrance as a composition — and it is where mismatched choices announce themselves. Jasmine arriving over the top of pepper and citrus does not read as two nice scents. It reads as a mistake, and you will notice it every single time you walk down the passage.
The fix is structural rather than a matter of taste. Pick a family and build inside it, so that every pair of adjacent rooms shares at least one material. White tea runs through The Ritz-Carlton-inspired Quiet Luxury, Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity and Shangri-La-inspired Tea Garden, which makes those three mutually compatible in any arrangement. Cedar links The Ritz-Carlton-inspired Quiet Luxury to 1 Hotels-inspired Forest Suite. Amber links W Hotels-inspired Lobby Bar to The St. Regis-inspired Old-World Glamour. Citrus links Four Seasons-inspired Warm Welcome to W Hotels-inspired Lobby Bar. Once a shared note exists, the doorway stops being an event — you move from one room to another and the change registers as a difference in volume rather than a change of subject. That is what people mean when they say a home smells considered, and it costs nothing beyond choosing two bottles from the same corner of the range rather than two you happened to like separately.
The three decisions in a 2BHK palette
Hotel CollectionFrom ₹299In most 2BHKs the living and dining run into one another, so they are one air space and take one fragrance. This is the scent your home is identified by, which argues for restraint: The Ritz-Carlton-inspired Quiet Luxury is the reference pick, white tea over bergamot and cedar, clean enough to live with every evening. W Hotels-inspired Lobby Bar is the warmer, more sociable alternative for a flat that entertains — citrus, pepper and amber. 1 Hotels-inspired Forest Suite suits a home that wants to read as grounded rather than fresh, with cedarwood, vetiver and green leaves doing the work.Four palettes for a 2BHK
Each of these is built so that neighbouring rooms share a material. Pick one and stay inside it; the second bedroom column applies only if that room is scented at all, which in most 2BHKs it is not.

Drops, doses and when each machine runs
Dose is how you zone a flat without changing fragrance at all, and it is underused. Four to five drops of Hotel Collection per tank is right for a 2BHK living/dining area; three is right for a master bedroom; two to three is plenty in a 110 sq ft second bedroom. The general guidance across the range is three to six per tank, and a flat this size lives in the lower half of it. Running the identical scent at five drops in one room and three in another produces a genuine sense of public and private space, which is most of what people are trying to achieve when they buy three different bottles.
Placement modifies dose, so settle position first. The living room machine wants to be about a metre up on a sideboard, on the seating side and away from the passage mouth; the bedroom one across the room from the bed. If a room smells strong beside the machine and of nothing from the sofa or the bed, more drops will not fix it — you are looking at a draught or a bad position, and the extra fragrance simply concentrates in the same corner. Keep both machines out of the fan and AC line, because moving air will undo a carefully judged dose in minutes.
Schedule is the third lever and it keeps a palette coherent. Run the living/dining Sukoon for a couple of hours in the evening and the bedroom one on the 2H timer before sleep; both running flat out all day is how a considered pairing turns into a heavy flat. Rinse the tank properly when you change scents — residue from one fragrance under a new one is the other way a good combination goes wrong, and it happens inside the machine rather than in the doorway. Use filtered water in hard-water cities, and never substitute raw essential or carrier oils, which are too thick to atomise and will foul the plate.
What the scents cost across a 2BHK
The fragrance arithmetic for a two- or three-machine flat, with the totals checked. Each Sukoon includes three 15ml bottles of your choice, which is why the entry figures are lower than people expect.

Versailles
The question I am asked is which scent for which room. The question worth answering is which scents can stand next to each other, because in a flat with three doors you are not choosing fragrances, you are choosing a relationship between them.
I compose these seven so that they overlap on purpose. White tea appears in three of them, cedar in three, amber in two, citrus in two — that is not a coincidence of style, it is what makes a multi-room palette possible without a perfumer in the house. When someone tells me their flat smells confusing, the diagnosis is almost always three bottles chosen independently, each excellent, sharing nothing. The correction costs one bottle, not one machine.
So start with the public room, pick the quieter relative for behind the door, and if you are unsure, run the same scent in both at different doses for a month. It is not a compromise; several of the homes I like best are built exactly that way. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
