The cleaning schedule

Every couple of days. Do not let old water sit for a week. Pour it out, rinse the tank with clean water, and refill fresh. This alone prevents most stale-smell complaints. If you use your diffuser daily, make it part of the morning fill.
Weekly. This is the descale - the important one. Minerals in tap water leave a fine scale on the ultrasonic plate, and that scale is what strangles the mist over time. Diluted white vinegar dissolves it in minutes. I will walk through the exact steps below.

How to descale, step by step
You need nothing exotic - white vinegar, water, a soft cloth and a cotton bud. Please never use a scouring pad or harsh chemical on the misting plate; it is a delicate component.
