What is the real difference between Safar and Vaayu? Scale and permanence. Safar scents a car interior, a desk or a hotel room and moves with its owner. Vaayu scents roughly 1000 cubic metres with app and timer control and stays in the building it was commissioned for. One is a gift, the other is an installation.
Can a company gift Vaayu to several executives? No. There are 18 units nationally across three variants, so a batch for a leadership group cannot be supplied. Safar at ₹3,999 is the executive default and the only premium option with the depth to cover a group.
Safar goes with the person. SOSA Safar at ₹3,999, or ₹4,499 for the hotel-inspired version, is a waterless, cordless, rechargeable diffuser. At 6.9 cm and up to 10 hours a charge it is small, self-contained and genuinely portable: a cup-holder, a handbag, a desk, a hotel nightstand. It works the day it is handed over, it needs no water, no socket and no routine, and if the executive changes cars or changes cities it simply comes along. The battery means hand baggage rather than checked luggage, and airline policy varies, so it is worth checking with the carrier. Around 595 units are held, so a whole leadership layer can receive an identical one.
Vaayu belongs to a building. SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 is a waterless cold-air nebuliser covering roughly 1000 cubic metres, with app and timer control. Our commercial-scenting programme positions it as a business installation, and that is what it is: sited for a specific volume, commissioned, set and left in place. It is not portable in any useful sense. If the recipient moves, it does not really move with them.
Then the number that settles it. Eighteen units nationally, across variants at 2, 6 and 10. That is not a supply position from which executive gifting can be planned. No company should be buying several for a leadership group, and we would not fill such an order. Anything involving Vaayu begins with an enquiry and a confirmation.
If a Vaayu does go into an executive's home, the residential spine travels with it. Bedrooms and children's rooms are never scented. Nothing runs unattended overnight. One room is kept genuinely fragrance-free so anyone who wants to be away from scent can be. And any household member's preference overrides any plan, regardless of who chose or paid for the machine. Those conditions belong to the household, and a company cannot enforce or even see them from outside.
The practical answer. For one executive, or for forty, Safar at ₹3,999. Where the executive barely travels and is home most nights, a 130ML reed diffuser at ₹1,349 or the 130ML reed duo at ₹2,498 instead. The hotel-inspired scents are SOSA's own interpretations and SOSA is independent and not affiliated with any hotel brand. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
One travels with the person, one belongs to a building

If your question is whether a company should be putting Vaayu on a gifting list at all, Is Vaayu suitable as a corporate gift answers it directly. If you have a whole senior layer rather than one person, Safar for senior management covers how to run the tier. Browse the home and hotel scenting range or send the enquiry. There is a fuller treatment in Vaayu for founders and CXOs.
The SOSA corporate gift edit
Every SOSA gift is alcohol-free, long-lasting and ready to hand over, handmade in small batches in India. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Here is the edit by budget tier and by who the gift is for.
| Gift | Best for | Why it works at the office | From |
|---|---|---|---|
| Attar roll-on 3ML | Whole team · small budget | Alcohol-free concentrated oil, four scents, gift-ready tin - the honest sub-₹400 option | ₹379 |
| Hanging car perfume | Teams that commute · bulk | Eight scents, thousands in stock, genuinely useful to anyone who drives | ₹449 |
| Car spray set of 3 | Sales & field teams | Three scents in one box - feels like a set, still under a thousand | ₹699 |
| Reed diffuser 50ML | Managers · remote staff | Flame-free, no plug, no water - works in a home office or a cabin | ₹749 |
| SOSA Safar | Senior leadership | Waterless car diffuser - the executive gift that is actually in stock | ₹3,999 |
Two honest notes. Reed diffusers use their own alcohol-free reed oil; the Hotel Collection is a separate water-based fragrance for ultrasonic mist diffusers, and the two are not interchangeable. The Hotel Collection scents are SOSA's own interpretations - SOSA is independent and not affiliated with any hotel brand. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Versailles
Most corporate Diwali gifts fail for the same reason: they are chosen to be defensible rather than useful. A box of sweets nobody eats, dry fruits that go into a cupboard. The gift is not really for the employee - it is for the person signing it off.
The test I would apply is simple. Will this still be in use in February? A car fragrance in the car of someone who drives to work every day passes that test. So does a reed diffuser in a home office. A body-worn perfume chosen for someone you do not know well does not, because fragrance worn on skin is personal - choosing it for a colleague is a comment on how they smell, and most people quietly do not wear it.
Two honest things I would rather say than sell past. If your budget is genuinely under Rs 350 a head, fragrance is the wrong category - buy something else and come back next year. And if you need three hundred of something we hold ninety of, we will tell you, because a Diwali gift that arrives in December is worse than no gift at all. A portion of every order supports girl-child education.
