What are the advantages of one large machine? One register, one schedule, one refill and one thing to think about, plus even distribution within a single connected volume from a single point.
What are the advantages of two smaller machines? They serve two separate volumes, they distribute more evenly in a long or angled space, and if one fails the house is not left with nothing.
The answer is decided before you compare the products
This comparison gets presented as a question about machines and it is really a question about houses. The products barely differ in the ways people expect; what differs is whether the home they are going into is one body of air or two. Establish that first and the answer falls out without any product reasoning at all. So, the test. Walk your home at an ordinary hour of an ordinary day, changing nothing, and count the closed doors between the spaces people actually occupy. If the living area, dining, the passage and the foot of the stairs are all joined with no door between them, that is one connected volume. If there is a family room shut off, or a second floor reached through a stairwell, or a wing behind a door, that is two volumes. Now take the two cases in turn. Case one: it is a single connected volume. Here one large machine wins, and it wins on three things, none of which is power. First, simplicity: one register to choose, one schedule to set, one bottle to buy and one thing to remember. That matters more than it sounds, because the most common way a home fragrance routine dies is not a decision, it is a lapse - six separate sources means six replacement dates, and one of them runs dry on a Tuesday, does not get replaced that week, and three weeks later there is a gap in the house nobody consciously noticed. Second, distribution within a joined volume: a single well-placed point at console height, out of the direct throw of an air conditioner, serves a connected space properly, and adding a second unit to the same volume mostly adds cost rather than evenness. Third, waterless operation in the case of the Vaayu at Rs 11,999, which means nothing to fill before an evening and nothing to empty afterwards, which is the strongest predictor of a routine surviving a year. Case two: it is two volumes. Here two smaller machines win absolutely, and the reason is not preference but physics. A machine distributes fragrance through connected moving air. It does not cross into a separate body of air, and no setting makes it do so. A single large unit placed in volume one will serve volume one - eventually oppressively, if you keep raising it in the hope of reaching further - while volume two remains untouched. So in a duplex, or a home with a family wing shut off from the main living area, a Megh at Rs 3,499 with its 6L tank plus a Sukoon at Rs 1,799 will outperform one Vaayu at Rs 11,999, and cost roughly half as much. That is a smaller sale and it is the correct recommendation for that house. Two secondary considerations that are worth knowing but should not override the volume test. The first is geometry within a single volume. Even where a home is one connected body of air, if that space is long, narrow or L-shaped, a single point produces a strong pocket near itself and an empty far end, and raising the output strengthens the pocket rather than reaching the corner. In that specific case two modest points placed apart beat one turned up, in exactly the way two lamps light a long room better than one bright bulb - but note that the second point does not need to be a second machine. A reed diffuser at Rs 749 to Rs 849 sitting on a console at the far end costs a fraction as much and evens the space completely. The second is redundancy. Two units mean that if one stops working, or is being cleaned, or is simply forgotten, the house is not left with nothing. One unit is a single point of failure for the entire connected plane. This is a mild argument rather than a decisive one, and it should not by itself push somebody with a single open volume towards two machines. What it does argue for is the thing we recommend at every size: the fixed positions that matter most - the entrance and the guest washroom - should be on permanent passive sources rather than on any machine, precisely so that they keep working when the machine does not, when the power is out, and when nobody has remembered anything.
One volume or two
One volume or two. Establish it first, at no cost: walk the home at an ordinary hour and count the closed doors between the spaces people actually occupy. One connected volume - living, dining, passage and stair joined - favours one large machine: the SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999, waterless with no tank to fill or empty, coverage up to 1,000 m², Bluetooth app and timer control, giving one register, one schedule and one refill. Place it at console or table height in the space people walk into, out of the direct throw of an air conditioner, on one or two longer cycles anchored to arrivals. Two volumes - a duplex, or a ground floor plus a family wing shut off - require two smaller machines, because no machine crosses into a separate body of air at any setting: the SOSA Megh at Rs 3,499 with a 6L tank plus the SOSA Sukoon at Rs 1,799, which outperforms a single larger unit in that house and costs roughly half as much. Within a single volume that is long, narrow or L-shaped: two modest points placed apart beat one turned up, and the second point can simply be a reed diffuser at the far end rather than another machine. The fixed positions, deliberately on permanent passive sources so they keep working when a machine does not, when the power is out and when nobody has remembered anything: the entrance and the guest washroom - reed diffusers at Rs 749 for Morning Freshness, Rs 799 for Garden Bloom, Rs 799 for Evening Calm, Rs 849 for Fresh Brew and Rs 849 for Mountain Breeze, three to four months per bottle, refills at Rs 2,399 for 300ml and Rs 3,499 for 500ml, or the SOSA Boond at Rs 799 at the door. Every other room behind a closed door: a reed each, eight to ten at this size. Fragrance for machines: Hotel Collection at Rs 299 for 15ml, Rs 999 for 100ml and Rs 1,799 for 300ml, at three to six drops per tank, rinsing between scents; it is not reed diffuser oil and the two systems are not interchangeable. Never scented: the kitchen at any time, the dining area during a meal, children's rooms, and covered terraces and balconies. Everything is alcohol-free and made to IFRA-compliant standards.

Versailles
Most customer gifts are bought to be handed over, not to be kept: the sweet box is finished by the family that evening, the keychain joins a drawer, the branded pen was never really a gift at all. Then the moment that cost your business lakhs to create - the new car, the new home, the big purchase - is remembered with nothing. A fragrance gift keeps that moment alive, because scent is the sense wired closest to memory: months later, your customer is still in the middle of the experience you gave them.
I trained at ISIPCA in Versailles and everything we make is built for Indian lives - car diffusers that survive a Mumbai summer, reed diffusers that hold through the monsoon, alcohol-free formulas safe to gift across every customer profile. If you run a dealership, a project, a hotel, a showroom or a team, message the bulk desk on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 - tell me the customer moment and the volumes, and I will help you design the programme myself. The business conversations are my favourite kind: one good gifting programme teaches me more about a category than a year of retail orders.
And a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali - so your customer gift quietly gives twice. That equation has always felt right to me.
Frequently asked questions
Facts verified August 2026: Olfactory memory research shows scent-linked memories are unusually durable and emotionally vivid, which is why a used-daily fragrance gift sustains brand association in a way consumable or novelty gifts do not; customer-experience research consistently finds that peak moments (delivery, possession, checkout) disproportionately shape how the whole purchase is remembered. Fragrance preference is personal: volume gifting programmes should default to gentle fresh, green and lightly floral registers, and to space formats (diffusers, reeds, car fragrance) rather than skin perfume. SOSA range: Hotel Collection ultrasonic fragrance from Rs 299; car perfumes from Rs 449 (spray and hanging, alcohol-free); attars Nawaab, Ameeri, Mastani and Adaa from Rs 379 (3ml/6ml/12ml, alcohol-free); Attar Trio from Rs 1,055; perfumes from Rs 499; reed diffusers from Rs 749; Boond Rs 799, Sukoon Rs 1,799 and Megh Rs 3,499 ultrasonic diffusers; SOSA Safar waterless car and travel diffuser Rs 3,999 (rechargeable, three hotel-inspired scents included); SOSA Vaayu waterless scent machine Rs 11,999 (~1000m³, app + timer).
