When isn't it? Only when a door closes — the bathroom. That takes a Boond at ₹899.
Spend the difference on? A second scent, not a second machine.
2. Open plan works in your favour. Coverage figures assume some obstruction. A studio has none, so a single unit reaches the bed, the kitchenette and the door without being pushed.
3. Two in one air mass is a downgrade. You cannot walk away from an overscented studio — it is also your bedroom. This is the one home type where restraint is not a budget choice, it is the correct choice.
4. The bathroom is the real exception. A closed door makes a second air pocket, and that is where a Boond (₹899) genuinely adds something.
5. Spend the second ₹1,899 on scents. Three moods through one machine beats one mood through two.
A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
The three conditions where one is enough
"Enough" is not a feeling, it is three checks. Run them against your own flat and you will know the answer in under a minute — and in almost every case in India, all three come back clean.
When one genuinely stops being enough
There are only a few honest cases, and none of them is "my studio feels big". Here is where a second unit — or a different unit — is the right call rather than an upsell.
| Situation | Is one enough? | What to do | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Studio under 450 sq ft, open plan | Yes | Nothing. Buy scents instead of machines | — |
| Bathroom door usually closed | No — separate air | Add a Boond in the bathroom | ₹899 |
| Studio over 500 sq ft, L-shaped | Borderline | Reposition first; add a Boond in the far leg if needed | ₹899 |
| Loft or double-height studio | No — volume, not floor area | Step up to a Megh 6-litre | ₹3,499 |
| You want two different moods at once | Yes, but not simultaneously | One machine, switch scents by time of day | ₹299 per scent |
| You are moving to a 2BHK | Not there | Keep the Sukoon, add a second — nothing is wasted | ₹1,899 |

What to buy instead of a second machine
If you have ₹1,899 spare and a studio that already smells good, the worst thing you can do with it is buy a second Sukoon. The best thing you can do is buy time and variety. A 300ml 300ml refill at ₹1,799 gives you months of the scent you have discovered you actually like, at a fraction of the per-ml cost of the 15ml bottles the machine arrived with. That is the single highest-value follow-up purchase in the range.
The second-best is range. Your Sukoon came with three of the seven Hotel Collection scents; the other four are ₹299 each, or ₹1,799 for the full Pack of 7. In a studio this matters more than in any other home, because you cannot walk into a different room to feel different — the only way to change the space is to change what is in the tank. Westin-inspired in the morning and St. Regis-inspired after eight is genuinely two flats.
And the third is the ₹899 Boond, but only if the bathroom test above actually failed. Buying it because it is cheap is how you end up with two machines competing in one room. Buy it because you found a gap.
The SOSA studio edit
What one-is-enough looks like as a shopping list, in the order it makes sense to buy.
| Buy | What it does | When it earns its place | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Sukoon ★ | 270–320 sq ft — the whole studio; 3 × 15ml scents included | This is the purchase. One is enough | ₹1,899 |
| 2. 300ml refill | Months of your favourite scent, cheapest per ml | As soon as you know your favourite of the three | ₹1,799 |
| 3. Hotel Collection 15ml | Scents four and five for the same machine | When mornings and evenings want to feel different | ₹299 |
| 4. Boond 300ml | The bathroom — the one air pocket the Sukoon cannot reach | Only if the closed-door test failed | ₹899 |
| Not this: a second Sukoon | A second machine in the same air mass | Never, in a studio. Buy it when you move | ₹1,899 |
Versailles
I get asked this more than any other question, and I think it is because "is one enough" is really asking am I about to be disappointed. Fair. Most home fragrance underdelivers, so people over-order to be safe.
But a studio is the one home where over-ordering backfires immediately, because you sleep in the result. The room that is too strongly scented is the room you cannot leave. So I would rather sell one machine and three bottles than two machines — it is a smaller order and a much better flat.
Everything is made and supported from Pune, and a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. You get a home that smells like somewhere you chose; a girl gets a classroom. That equation has always felt right to me.
