Yes to the fragrance and yes to the list of rooms that get nothing, and no to the hardware. Two clinics almost never share a volume, a ceiling height or an air-handling system, and trying to make them share a machine is how owners end up with two rooms that do not match.
Quick answers — read this first
Should both of my chiropractic clinics use the same signature scent? Yes. Two things travel between sites and should be identical at both: the fragrance, named down to the exact product, and the list of rooms that stay unscented. Everything else is local. The second clinic will have a different scented volume, a different ceiling height and a different air-conditioning layout, so the format, the dose and the position of the source all have to be worked out in that building. A signature is the scent and the zero list, not the equipment.

Why should the hardware differ between two clinics? Because coverage is cubic and buildings are not copies of each other. A 300 sq ft reception under a 3 metre ceiling is about 84 cubic metres; the same floor area under a 4.5 metre soffit is 125. One site may take a Morning Freshness reed at ₹749 while the other, with a long corridor, genuinely needs a mounted machine. Buying identical equipment for both is tidiness rather than a standard, and it usually leaves one of the two rooms wrong.

What actually breaks a two-site signature? Re-supply, almost every time. One clinic becomes two, the consumption doubles, a second person starts ordering, and at some point somebody buys the nearest available thing because the usual one was not to hand. Six months later the two receptions do not match and nobody decided that. Write down one product name, keep one person responsible for ordering for both sites, and reorder before the last bottle is empty rather than after.
The short answer
Short answer: Yes for the scent and the unscented-room list, no for the hardware. Those first two are what a signature actually is, and they cost nothing to hold identical. The format, the dose and the source position belong to each building, because volume, ceiling height and air handling differ. The real risk is not taste but re-supply: two sites double the consumption and add a second buyer, which is where substitution creeps in.
The pick: the same reed at both sites where both are small - Mountain Breeze at ₹849 or ₹1,349 for the 130ml - and the SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 only at whichever site has genuinely outgrown a bottle.
Next step: send both floor plans with ceiling heights and tell us which fragrance the first clinic runs, and we will write the two-site specification for you - ask for a clinic scenting plan.

Straight answer
I am opening a second chiropractic location. Should both clinics use the same signature scent?
Yes - and what you are standardising is the fragrance and the list of unscented rooms, not the equipment. Start with the two things that must be identical. The fragrance is the obvious one, and it needs to be named precisely rather than generally: not "something fresh", but the exact product, so that whoever orders in eleven months buys the same thing. The unscented-room list is the one owners forget, and it matters more. Adjustment rooms, treatment rooms, examination rooms, imaging rooms and any combined consultation-and-treatment room stay unscented at both sites, because a chiropractic client is prone with their face in a cradle for most of a session and cannot move away from what is in the air. If site one runs that rule and site two quietly puts a bottle in a cabin, you do not have a brand standard, you have a coincidence. Now the things that should differ. The format, the dose and the position all belong to the building. Coverage is cubic: a 300 sq ft reception at a 3 metre ceiling is about 84 cubic metres and the same floor area under a 4.5 metre soffit is 125, so the same bottle produces two different rooms. One site may be a Mountain Breeze reed at ₹849 with four reeds standing; the other, with a long corridor and a shared return, may genuinely need the mounted SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999. Specify the intensity you want and let each site reach it with whatever the room requires. The risk that actually kills two-site signatures is none of the above. It is re-supply. A single clinic runs on one person's memory. Two clinics run on two people's memories, at double the consumption, and the first time the usual bottle is not to hand somebody buys the nearest thing instead - and does it helpfully, which is why nobody mentions it. Six months later your two receptions smell different and no one made that decision. So: one product name written down, one person responsible for ordering for both sites, and a reorder trigger set before the last bottle is empty. A 50ml reed runs six to eight weeks and a 130ml fourteen to eighteen, which makes the schedule easy to predict. Two more honest notes. SOSA has no bulk or multi-site programme, so a two-site order goes through the ordinary route or through the contact page, with nothing promised on terms. And fragrance is an ambience decision like lighting, seating or flooring, SOSA products are not medical devices, we make no claim that scenting affects bookings, retention or spend, and the clinician's judgement overrides any scenting plan at either site.
Same fragrance, same list of unscented rooms, different hardware. The second clinic has its own volume and airflow, so let it choose its own format - and name one product and one person who orders it.
If both sites are small, both take the same reed: Mountain Breeze at ₹849, or ₹1,349 for the 130ml where the room is larger. The SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 belongs to whichever site has genuinely outgrown a bottle.

The format one site may need and the other may not

Nothing here is a two-site purchase. These are what a single site buys when its own volume and layout call for it, and the point of the page is that the other site is under no obligation to match.

Identical, local, and the thing that quietly breaks

Three groups. Two things you hold the same at both sites, three things you deliberately let differ, and one habit that decides whether any of it is still true a year from now.

1
Hold identical
The named fragrance and the zero list
Write both down in one place before the second clinic opens. The fragrance should be named to the exact product and size, because a general instruction like "the fresh one" is an invitation to substitution the first time somebody else does the ordering. The zero list is the other half and the more important one: adjustment rooms, treatment rooms, examination and imaging rooms, and any combined consultation-and-treatment room, unscented, permanently, at both sites. That list has to be identical because it is the part of the plan that protects the client rather than the brand, and because a rule that holds at one site and not the other is not a rule. Both of these cost nothing to standardise, which is what makes them the sensible things to standardise.
Tip: Put the product name and the zero list on one side of one page, and give it to whoever opens up at each clinic rather than to the manager only.
SOSA Vaayu
Where a site runs a Vaayu, the key-lock does for the level what the written zero list does for the rooms: it stops a rule quietly becoming a preference.

2
Let it differ
The format, the dose and where the source stands
Two clinics are two buildings. The scented volume differs once each set of cabins comes out, the ceiling heights differ, the air conditioning throws air in different directions, and the entrance sequence is never the same twice. So specify the outcome and not the object: what you want at both sites is a level that sits below the point where a client could name the fragrance, and that number is reached with three reeds in one reception and a mounted machine on a four-hour window in the other. Position in particular should never be copied between sites - it is the answer to a question about one room's air path, and the same spot in the second clinic can easily be under a supply diffuser. Let each site solve its own room.
SOSA Vaayu
Where one site needs a machine, the Vaayu's adjustable intensity is the part that matters, because it lets that site meet a level you wrote rather than one the hardware imposes.

3
The thing that breaks
Re-supply, at double the rate, with two people buying
This is the failure I see most often and it never looks like a decision. Two clinics consume roughly twice as fast as one, and the second site introduces a second person who orders. On the day the usual bottle is not to hand, that person buys something similar because the reception needs to smell of something and they are being helpful. Nobody reports it, because nobody thinks of it as a change. The fix is boring and it works: one product name written down, one person responsible for ordering for both sites, and a reorder trigger dated rather than reactive - a 50ml reed lasts six to eight weeks and a 130ml fourteen to eighteen, so the calendar is predictable. And if a scent cannot be reliably re-ordered, do not build a signature on it in the first place.
Tip: Order the second site's refills at the same time as the first site's, even if one of them is not empty yet. Two half-empty cupboards beat one substitution.
SOSA Vaayu
The Vaayu's 400ml tank runs 90+ days a fill, which changes the reorder rhythm. Confirm resupply with us before you plan a two-site schedule around it.

The SOSA principle
The second site is where a signature stops being a choice and becomes a supply routine, and supply routines fail at the reorder rather than at the decision.
Nobody ever decides to change a clinic's fragrance. They decide, once, to buy whatever was available, and the decision after that is made for them.
SOSA Vaayu
What travels between two clinics: a fragrance name, a zero list and an intensity you can describe. Not a machine, and never a position on a plan.

Element by element, across two sites

Four elements, and the only useful question about each one is whether it is held identical or decided in the building. Two of these four are free to standardise, which is a reasonable clue about where to spend the effort.

The SOSA plan
Two clinics, and what is allowed to differ between them
The element Identical at both, or decided site by site
The fragrance
Identical, named to the exact product and size. This is the half of the signature everybody remembers to standardise, and it is free to hold.
The unscented-room list
Identical, and non-negotiable at both. Adjustment, treatment, examination and imaging rooms, and any combined consultation-and-treatment room, get nothing at either site.
SOSA VaayuThe format and the dose
Local. Different volumes, ceilings and air handling mean one site may take a ₹749 reed and the other a mounted machine at ₹11,999. Specify the level, not the object. View →
SOSA VaayuWhere the source stands
Local, always. Placement answers a question about one room's air path, and copying it into a second building frequently lands the source in a supply draught. View →

The written version of all this, as a one-page standard, is in standardising fragrance across a multi-location brand, the branch-level version of the volume argument is in whether every branch of a chain should smell the same, and the reason positions do not travel is in reproducing the same experience across different layouts. SOSA makes no health, therapeutic or wellbeing claim of any kind, and no claim that scenting affects bookings, retention or spend.

SOSA Vaayu
One thing not to do with a duo: a two-bottle set is two different fragrances. It is a fine gift and a poor way to equip two clinics that are meant to match.
Two plans, one scent, two different rooms
Send both floor plans with ceiling heights and we will write the two-site specification for you.

A signature does not break because somebody chose a new fragrance. It breaks because two clinics started ordering separately, and nobody thought that was a decision.

Where both clinics are small - which is the usual case - both run the same reed at ₹749 to ₹849, and that is a complete two-site plan. SOSA has no bulk pricing, no minimum order and no multi-site programme; a larger order goes through the contact page with nothing promised on terms. Fragrance is an ambience decision like lighting or seating, with no health, therapeutic or clinical claim of any kind. It works alongside your ventilation, cleaning and clinical protocol, never instead of them, SOSA products are not medical devices, and we make no claim that scenting affects bookings, retention or spend. Adjustment and treatment rooms stay unscented at both sites, staff must be able to stop the source within seconds, and the clinician's judgement overrides any plan. Ask for a clinic scenting plan and we will size each site separately.

A note from Sonal

The second clinic is the moment a preference has to become a written line, and most owners discover that the hard way. At one site the fragrance is whatever you happen to buy, and it stays consistent because you are the person buying it. At two sites there is a second cupboard, a second person opening up, and a second set of small decisions being made kindly and invisibly on your behalf.

What I try to get owners to standardise is the pair of things that cost nothing: the exact product and the list of rooms that get nothing. Those two are the whole signature. Everything else - the format, the number of reeds, the run window, the position on the wall - is arithmetic that belongs to a building, and forcing two buildings to share it produces a worse result at one of them, usually the newer one.

And I would rather you knew where we cannot help. We have no bulk pricing, no minimum order and no multi-site arrangement. We make no health, therapeutic or clinical claim of any kind, and no claim that scenting affects bookings, retention, referrals or spend. Fragrance is an ambience decision, like lighting or seating. Adjustment and treatment rooms stay unscented, and the clinician's judgement overrides any plan. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

Frequently asked questions

Should my second clinic run the same fragrance as my first?
Yes, and named to the exact product rather than described. The same goes for the list of rooms that get nothing, which should be word-for-word identical at both sites. What should not be copied is the hardware, the number of reeds, the run window or the position of the source, because those are answers to questions about a specific room's volume and airflow.
My second clinic is much bigger. Does that change the scent?
It changes the dose and possibly the format, and it leaves the scent alone. Work out the scented volume at the new site - front of house and corridor only, in cubic metres - and reach the same low level with whatever that room needs. That might be a 130ml bottle with more reeds standing, or a mounted machine on a run window. The fragrance stays the fragrance.
Can one clinic use a reed diffuser and the other a machine?
Yes, and it is often the correct answer. The two formats behave differently across a day - a reed is flat and continuous, a machine runs in windows - so set the machine site to a low steady window rather than short strong bursts, and the two rooms will read as consistent. Consistency is about the level a client meets, not about the object producing it.
How much of the fragrance should I keep in stock at each site?
Enough that a gap never forces a substitution, which usually means one spare bottle per site and a dated reorder rather than a reactive one. A 50ml reed lasts six to eight weeks and a 130ml fourteen to eighteen, so the schedule is easy to predict. Keep the ordering with one person even when the stock sits in two cupboards.
Does SOSA have a programme for a two-clinic order?
We do not. There is no bulk pricing, no minimum order and no multi-site arrangement of any kind, so a two-site order is simply two orders, or a conversation through the contact page with nothing promised on terms. I would rather tell you that now than have you build a rollout plan around a discount that does not exist.

Facts verified 24 August 2026 against the live SOSA product pages: the SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is a waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³, described by the manufacturer as approximately 2,000-3,000 sq ft, with a 400ml refillable tank lasting 90+ days depending on intensity and run hours, Bluetooth app and onboard button control, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, adjustable intensity, operation under 38dB, DC 12V/1A at 5W (roughly 1.5 units of electricity a month on a ten-hour daily schedule), freestanding or wall and HVAC mounting, auto-stop and key-lock, and CE, RoHS and SGS certification. Being waterless, it adds no moisture and leaves no residue on surfaces or equipment. The SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) is an HVAC nebulising diffuser rated to 3,000m³, roughly 8,000-10,000 sq ft, with an 800ml reservoir, metal body, programmable schedules and operation under 42dB, and also runs standalone wall-mounted or lay-flat. Ambient scent is an interior and hospitality decision: it works alongside proper ventilation, cleaning and clinical protocol and is not a substitute for any of them, it is not a medical device, and SOSA makes no health, therapeutic or treatment claim of any kind and no claim that fragrance affects bookings, retention or spend. CE, RoHS and SGS are electrical and compliance marks, not medical approval. The hotel-inspired scents are SOSA's own original interpretations; SOSA is an independent brand and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any hotel named for reference.
