Unless citrus feels too sweet to you: then Mountain Breeze ₹849, pine and sage and cedar, 9.4.
Unless most fragrance feels like a lot: then Evening Calm ₹799, lavender and chamomile, 8.9 and the softest thing we make.
The one thing we cannot sell you: if the fresh in your head is aquatic, marine, ozonic or clean-linen, none of the five reeds is it. We do not make that, and you should know before you spend.
2. Switch to Mountain Breeze at ₹849 if citrus reads sweet to you. Himalayan pine, sage and Indian cedar. This is fresh as cold outdoor air rather than fresh as fruit, and at 9.4 it is the deepest thing in the range short of the coffee.
3. Switch to Evening Calm at ₹799 if you are sensitive to fragrance generally. Kashmir lavender, real chamomile, a soft musk drydown, 8.9 and deliberately the quietest bottle we make.
4. Buy the Fresh & Grounded duo at ₹1,548 if you cannot choose. Bright and green together, one in each of two rooms. Your nose will decide inside a week, which is faster and cheaper than deliberating.
5. Pick the size by the room, not by the budget. 50ml for anything up to about 150 sq ft — a bathroom, a bedroom, a desk — and 130ml above that. ₹749 buys you 6–8 weeks; ₹1,249 buys you 14–18. Six fibre reeds and a refillable glass bottle either way, and a 300ml refill at ₹2,399 when you know which one you keep going back to.
Alcohol-free, phthalate-free, composed in Pune. Free shipping above ₹499, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Which of the three fresh people are you? Three questions, thirty seconds
You do not need to learn perfumery to answer this. You only need to notice which of three sentences sounds like something you have actually said out loud, because each one belongs to a different bottle. Read the three cards below and pick the one that makes you nod. If two of them do, take the first — bright is the safer of any pair, and it is the register that behaves best in Indian homes, where cooking is the smell you are usually trying to move out of the way.
Morning Freshness₹749Not lemon in a bottle of cleaner — a lemon on a board, being cut, in a kitchen. If that image is pleasant to you, you are a bright buyer and Morning Freshness is your bottle. It has lift in it: the room feels a degree cooler and slightly more awake than it did. Put it where you want the air to change state — the bathroom in the morning, the kitchen after cooking, the desk at nine. Tanya K. in Pune keeps hers in the bathroom and calls it clean, breathable, not floral; Riya M. in Bengaluru put hers on a home-office desk and was still getting it at six weeks.
Mountain Breeze₹849Some people want fresh air, not fresh fruit, and for them even a good citrus is a little sweet and a little busy. If you have ever walked out of a room because it smelled decorated, you are a green buyer, and Mountain Breeze is the bottle: Himalayan pine, real sage, Indian cedar, which together read as altitude — cool, dry, faintly resinous. At 9.4 it is the deepest woody we make and it still belongs to the fresh side of the range. It suits concentration: studies, home offices, yoga rooms, bedrooms. Aditya R. in Bengaluru used almost that exact phrase about flower shops; Rohit B. in Hyderabad, braced for disinfectant, got crisp green pine instead.
Evening Calm₹799If you have ever taken the sticks out of a diffuser, moved it to another room, or quietly put it in a cupboard, your fresh is the soft one and you should not be buying citrus at all. Evening Calm is Kashmir lavender with real chamomile and a soft musk drydown, and at 8.9 it is the gentlest thing in the range by design — present without ever taking over. It is fresh the way clean bedlinen is fresh: it does not add a smell so much as remove the day's. Bedsides, guest rooms, the bath before bed. Ananya K. in Bengaluru says it is finally a lavender that does not smell like fabric softener, which is the compliment this bottle was built for.
Why this one will still be there in week six, when your last citrus wasn't
You have probably owned a fresh diffuser that was wonderful for a fortnight and then became a jar of oil with sticks in it. That was not bad luck and it was not you forgetting to flip the reeds. It is physics: the molecules that read as fresh are the smallest and lightest ones in perfumery, so they leave the bottle first. Warm fragrances never have this problem, because vanilla and amber are heavy material that hangs around at nose height for months whether you want it to or not. Fresh has to be engineered to last. Warm lasts by accident.
The engineering in Morning Freshness is the eucalyptus globulus base, and it is the one technical thing on this page worth remembering: it slows the lemon's evaporation by roughly three to four times. That single decision is why you get 6–8 weeks from a 50ml where most citrus diffusers give you ten to fourteen days. Aanya R. in Gurugram calls the eucalyptus base the unfair advantage, and she is right, though it is less an advantage than a repair to a known fault. The second half of the answer is the carrier underneath: every SOSA reed sits on heat-stable CCT rather than DPG, which cracks above about 40°C and is the actual mechanism behind a diffuser going bitter or acrid in a Delhi May.
Your sentence, translated into a bottle
These are the sentences people write to us, more or less verbatim, with what each one usually turns out to mean. Find yours. If none of them is quite right, the last row is probably you, and the last row is the one where we cannot help from the reed shelf.
| The sentence you said | What you probably mean | Buy | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| "I like fresh fragrances" | Bright — citrus and mint, a room that feels awake | Morning Freshness ★ | ₹749 / ₹1,249 |
| "I want it fresh but not fruity" | Green — pine, sage, cedar, cold outdoor air | Mountain Breeze | ₹849 / ₹1,349 |
| "Nothing too strong, please" | Soft — lavender and chamomile, quiet in the background | Evening Calm | ₹799 / ₹1,299 |
| "Fresh, but I want my bedroom to feel grown-up" | Green in the bedroom, bright everywhere else | Fresh & Grounded duo | ₹1,548 |
| "Honestly, I don't know which" | You need two bottles and a week, not more reading | Fresh & Grounded duo | ₹1,548 |
| "Fresh like sea air / like clean laundry" | Aquatic or clean-linen — we do not make either as a reed | Nothing on the reed shelf. See below | — |

Before you order: reeds, rooms and sizes
Two minutes here will do more for your enjoyment of this bottle than swapping it for a different one. The reeds are a volume knob and almost nobody uses them as one. Every bottle ships with six fibre reeds — fibre rather than rattan, because rattan clogs in Indian humidity and gives you the strong-then-nothing pattern people blame on the oil. Use two or three in a bathroom, and a 50ml will then run close to three months instead of eight weeks. Use three in a bedroom. Use all six in a hall or a living room. Flip them every three to five days and you get a lift each time without spending anything.
Size follows the room and not your budget. Buy 50ml for anything up to about 150 sq ft — bathroom, bedroom, home office — and 130ml above that, so living rooms, kitchens and the open-plan end of a flat. If you are scenting a whole home rather than one room, buy two 50mls in two different registers instead of one big bottle of one, because a flat that smells identical everywhere stops registering as a smell at all within about a week. That is the real argument for the Fresh & Grounded duo at ₹1,548, and it is also, conveniently, how you settle bright-versus-green by nose in your own rooms rather than by argument on a page. One last thing: keep it out of the direct path of a running split AC, which strips the top notes in days and leaves you with the base.
What to buy — and the thing we do not have
Here is the whole shelf as it applies to you, in the order I would actually spend the money. The last row is the honest gap, and it stays in every one of these tables for a reason: there is no aquatic, marine, ozonic or clean-linen accord anywhere in the SOSA reed range, and if that is the fresh in your head I would rather tell you now than sell you the nearest thing and let you discover it in a fortnight.
| Buy | What it is | When it is your answer | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Morning Freshness 50ml ★ | Malabar lemon, peppermint, eucalyptus globulus · 9.0 | First, for most people who said "fresh". ₹749 settles it | ₹749 |
| 2. Mountain Breeze 50ml | Himalayan pine, sage, Indian cedar · 9.4 | If citrus reads sweet, or florals annoy you | ₹849 |
| 3. Evening Calm 50ml | Kashmir lavender, chamomile, soft musk · 8.9, softest | If fragrance is usually "a lot" for you | ₹799 |
| 4. Fresh & Grounded duo | Bright and green together, 50ml × 2 | If you are undecided, or scenting a flat rather than a room | ₹1,548 |
| 5. 300ml refill | Tops up the bottle and reeds you already own | Once one of them is clearly the one you keep | ₹2,399 |
| No aquatic, marine or clean-linen reed: the honest gap | The reed line has none of it. The nearest SOSA makes is on the ultrasonic side: Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity (white tea · aloe · cedar) or Ritz-Carlton-inspired Quiet Luxury (white tea · bergamot · cedar), each 15ml — which need a machine, Sukoon ₹1,899 or Boond ₹899 | Said plainly rather than stretched to fit your sentence | ₹299 + machine |
Versailles
When you tell me you like fresh fragrances, I hear a request I can answer, which is rarer than you might think. It is also a request I have to check, because fresh is the only family where the good version and the cheap version belong to the same category of object in your memory. Nobody has ever confused a real jasmine with an air freshener. Almost everybody has met synthetic lemon before they met a real one, and they met it in a bucket.
So if you have disliked a fresh fragrance in the past, I would not assume you dislike fresh. I would assume you met the shorthand for it. That is the whole reason Morning Freshness uses cold-pressed Malabar lemon rather than a reconstruction, and the reason there is eucalyptus underneath it rather than nothing. Neither decision appears in a note list. Both are the reason the bottle works in week six.
And if what you actually wanted was sea air or clean cotton, I would rather lose the sale. We do not make it, the nearest thing lives on the ultrasonic shelf and needs a machine, and you deserve to know that before you spend ₹749 rather than after. Everything is made in Pune, and a part of every order funds a girl's classroom through Nanhi Kali.
