There is a version of this page where I hand you Adaa and hope you do not read the third note. I am not writing that one. Two flower names is the most expensive pair of words anybody can send this range, and by the end of the first screen you will see why the answer I give you is not an attar at all.
Quick answers — read this first
Is there a SOSA attar with no rose and no jasmine in it? One, and it is not the bottle you are hoping for. SOSA makes exactly four attars. Ameeri is built on Taif rose. Mastani is night-blooming jasmine and Damask rose, so it fails both of your words at once. Adaa has no rose, but it carries jasmine sambac in the heart and neroli, which is an orange-blossom note, so on the strict reading you sent me it is out too. That leaves Nawaab, the only one of the four with no floral note at any position - and Nawaab is white royal oud, Mysore sandalwood, Kashmir saffron, aged tobacco, leather and amber.

So what is the honest recommendation? SOSA Samundar, ₹599 for 10ml, and it is not an attar. It is on our perfume line, where we describe products by their SOSA name and accord only, and its accord is an aquatic marine - the only SOSA skin fragrance whose published accord names no flower of any kind. Khayaal is the second option at the same price, a sparkling bergamot and neroli, and I have to flag the neroli: it is an orange-blossom note, so the same strict reading that removed Adaa applies to Khayaal as well. That is your call rather than mine to make quietly.

What does that cost, and what am I giving up? ₹599 for 10ml of Samundar, with 50ml at ₹1,799 and 100ml at ₹3,499. What you give up is information and format. No note list and no wear figure is published for the perfume line, so you cannot check it against a third dislike the way you can check an attar, and 6-8 hours is published only for the attars. You are also giving up the oil format: this is a spray rather than something dabbed on. There is no aquatic attar at SOSA - the aquatic exists only here.
The short answer
Short answer: the honest answer is not an attar. SOSA makes exactly four attars and two flower names empty the range rather than narrowing it: Ameeri is Taif rose, Mastani is night-blooming jasmine and Damask rose, and Adaa, though it has no rose, carries jasmine sambac in the heart and neroli, which is an orange-blossom note - so on a strict reading all three are out. Nawaab is the only attar with no floral note anywhere, and it is white royal oud, Mysore sandalwood, Kashmir saffron, aged tobacco, leather and amber. So the recommendation is SOSA Samundar, an aquatic marine at ₹599 for 10ml, which is on the perfume line and is not an attar, with Khayaal second and its neroli disclosed.
The pick: SOSA Samundar at ₹599 for 10ml - an aquatic marine, and the only SOSA skin fragrance whose accord names no flower. It is not an attar, and no note list or wear figure is published for the perfume line. SOSA Khayaal at the same price is a sparkling bergamot and neroli, with the neroli disclosed because it is an orange-blossom note. And if you want to overrule our own labelling, SOSA Nawaab at ₹399 is the one attar with no floral note - oud, sandalwood, saffron, aged tobacco, leather and amber, which is a very different bottle.
Next step: tell me whether neroli and orange blossom count as flowers for you, because that one answer decides whether Khayaal is available to you or whether Samundar is the only thing I can honestly send - Ask for an attar recommendation.
Two flower names against four attars - the countNo SOSA attar fits. That is the finding, up frontAmeeri: Taif rose. Mastani: jasmine and Damask roseAdaa: jasmine sambac and neroli - out on a strict readNawaab has no flower, but it is oud, tobacco, leatherAnswer: Samundar, aquatic marine, ₹599 - not an attar
Four of our four attars come off the list, three of them on a flower and the fourth by being an entirely different kind of bottle. I would rather print that count than hand you Adaa and hope.
SOSA Samundar - tap through, and read what is and is not published for it
Straight answer
Which attar should somebody try if they hate rose and jasmine but still want something feminine?
The honest answer is that none of our four attars fits you, and the bottle I would send is SOSA Samundar at ₹599 for 10ml, which is on our perfume line and is not an attar at all. Here is the count, because you should see it rather than take it. SOSA makes exactly four attars - Adaa, Ameeri, Mastani and Nawaab. Ameeri is built on Taif rose, with real Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron and a soft oudh beneath it: out on your first word. Mastani is night-blooming jasmine and Damask rose over Mysore sandalwood, oudh, vanilla and tonka: out on both of your words at once, and it uses real jasmine sambac and real rose absolute, so there is nothing notional about it. Adaa is the bottle most pages in this cluster end on, and it has no rose - but it carries jasmine sambac in the heart and neroli, which is an orange-blossom note. You named jasmine. So on the strict reading, which is the reading your sentence asks for, Adaa is out, and I am not going to describe the jasmine as a supporting player to get it past you. That leaves Nawaab, the only one of the four with no floral note at any position: white royal oud, Mysore sandalwood, Kashmir saffron, aged tobacco, leather and amber. It survives your two words honestly, and I will name what it is - the heaviest thing SOSA makes for skin, and a bottle our own store positions as masculine and royal, which is a label we wrote rather than a fact about the materials. You are free to overrule that label, and some readers should. But if the second half of your sentence means you want something light and bright rather than dense and dark, an oud-tobacco-leather composition is not it, and pretending otherwise would waste ₹399 of yours. So: Samundar, an aquatic marine, is the only SOSA skin fragrance whose published accord names no flower of any kind. Khayaal at the same ₹599 is a sparkling bergamot and neroli, and I owe you the same disclosure twice: its neroli is an orange-blossom note, so the strict reading that removed Adaa applies to Khayaal too. Two honest limits on both. No note list and no wear figure is published for the SOSA perfume line, so you cannot audit it against a third dislike, and 6-8 hours is published only for the attars. There is also no aquatic attar at SOSA, so the format change is not optional here. And the standing lines: SOSA publishes no outcome claim for a fragrance because there is no honest way to measure one, and makes no health or skin-safety claim of any kind. Ask for an attar recommendation and tell me whether orange blossom counts.
Four attars, two flower names, and nothing left: Ameeri is Taif rose, Mastani is jasmine and Damask rose, Adaa carries jasmine sambac and neroli. Nawaab has no flower but is oud, tobacco and leather. So the honest answer is not an attar - Samundar, an aquatic marine, ₹599 for 10ml, with Khayaal second and its neroli disclosed.
The bottle is one SOSA Samundar, 10ml at ₹599 - our perfume line, named by SOSA name and accord only, and the accord is an aquatic marine. It is not an attar, no note list is published for it and no wear figure either, and it is the only SOSA skin fragrance whose accord names no flower at all.
See the SOSA Samundar ₹599 Ask for an attar recommendation

The bottle, and why it is not an attar

Two products from our perfume line, named by SOSA name and accord only, because that is the house rule and because it is the only honest way to talk about a line whose notes are not published. Neither of these is an attar and the second one carries a disclosure.

SOSA Samundar
The only SOSA skin fragrance whose accord names no flower
SOSA Samundar, 10ml
An aquatic marine on the SOSA perfume line, ₹599 for 10ml, with 50ml at ₹1,799 and 100ml at ₹3,499. Not an attar: it is sprayed rather than dabbed, no note list is published for it and no wear figure either, so 6-8 hours does not apply. It is here because it is the one thing in the range that your two words leave completely alone.
From ₹599
SOSA Khayaal
Second option, with the disclosure attached
SOSA Khayaal, 10ml
A sparkling bergamot and neroli on the perfume line, ₹599 for 10ml. The disclosure is the neroli: it is an orange-blossom note, so if the strict reading that ruled Adaa out is the reading you meant, this one goes the same way. Not an attar, no note list published, no wear figure published. Yours to decide with the accord in front of you.
From ₹599
SOSA Samundar
The honest answer when two flower names empty the attar range
SOSA Samundar
10ml, 50ml and 100ml at ₹599, ₹1,799 and ₹3,499. Described by its SOSA name and its accord only: an aquatic marine. It is on the SOSA perfume line and is not one of the four attars, so it is sprayed rather than rolled, no note list is published for it and no longevity figure is published either - 6-8 hours is the attars' figure and it does not transfer. There is no aquatic, marine or ozonic attar at SOSA.

The arithmetic, in public

Three steps, and the first one is the one most pages in this cluster would rather skip. I would not be able to write the other nine families honestly if I skipped it here.

1
Count the flowers, including ours
Three of four attars print a floral note, and the exception is the heaviest bottle in the range
Ameeri prints Taif rose. Mastani prints night-blooming jasmine and Damask rose, and uses real jasmine sambac and real rose absolute, so there is nothing token about either. Adaa prints jasmine sambac and neroli, and neroli is an orange-blossom note, which means that of the two flowers you named, one of them is in the bottle this cluster usually recommends. Nawaab prints no floral note at all - white royal oud, Mysore sandalwood, Kashmir saffron, aged tobacco, leather, amber. That is the whole census. Two words, four bottles, and the only survivor is the one built on oud, which is why this page stops looking at attars.
Tip: Ask a listing which flower is in the heart, not whether it is floral. The heart is where the answer usually hides.
SOSA Nawaab
One bottle of Nawaab from ₹399 is the whole purchase here.
See SOSA Nawaab →
2
Decide how strict you are being
The strict reading removes Adaa, the loose reading keeps it, and only you get to choose
There are two honest readings of your sentence. On the strict one, any jasmine anywhere disqualifies a bottle, and Adaa is out on its jasmine sambac and its neroli. On the looser one, you object to rose and jasmine as the subject of a composition rather than as supporting notes, and Adaa becomes available, because its subject is bergamot and green cardamom over white musk and the jasmine sits in the heart. I have written this page on the strict reading, because that is what your sentence says and because I would rather lose a sale than pick the interpretation that sells one. If the looser reading is yours, say so and Adaa is back on the table at ₹379.
Tip: Neroli and orange blossom are the same flower at different stages. If one is out for you, treat both as out.
SOSA Adaa
One bottle of Adaa from ₹379 is the whole purchase here.
See SOSA Adaa →
3
Then change format rather than compromise
Ruling out two flowers is a reason to leave the oil behind, not a reason to accept a flower
When a range cannot answer a question, the useful move is to change what kind of product you are shopping for rather than to bend the question. Samundar is an aquatic marine and its accord names no flower, which is the cleanest possible fit for your two words. What it costs you is information: no note list and no wear figure is published for the perfume line, so you cannot check it against a third dislike the way you can check an attar, and you should know that before you spend ₹599. There is no aquatic attar at SOSA, so this is a genuine gap in the oil range rather than a preference of mine.
SOSA Samundar
One bottle of Samundar from ₹599 is the whole purchase here.
See SOSA Samundar →
The SOSA principle
Naming two flowers empties this attar range rather than narrowing it, because the third bottle carries a jasmine of its own and the fourth is built on oud.
Which is why the honest answer to a floral exclusion at SOSA is sometimes a change of format rather than a change of bottle.
SOSA Samundar
The count, first: Ameeri on Taif rose, Mastani on jasmine and Damask rose, Adaa on jasmine sambac and neroli. Three of our four attars carry a flower.

What feminine is doing in your sentence

The second half of your question is the half nobody at a counter takes literally, so here is the range laid against both halves at once.

The SOSA shortlist
Every SOSA skin fragrance this question touches, and what happens to it
The bottle What to do
Ameeri, attar, ₹385
Taif rose, real Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron, soft oudh. Out on your first word, and it would have been out on the oudh for a good many readers as well.
Mastani, attar, ₹389
Night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood, oudh, vanilla, tonka. Real jasmine sambac and real rose absolute. Out on both of your words at once.
Adaa, attar, ₹379
Bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac, white musk. No rose - but a jasmine in the heart and neroli, an orange-blossom note. Out on the strict reading, which is the one you sent.
SOSA NawaabNawaab, attar, ₹399
White royal oud, Mysore sandalwood, Kashmir saffron, aged tobacco, leather, amber. The only attar with no floral note anywhere. Our own store calls it masculine, which is a label rather than a material. Yours to overrule.
SOSA SamundarSamundar, perfume line, ₹599
An aquatic marine. Accord only, no note list published, no wear figure published, and not an attar - but the only SOSA skin fragrance whose accord names no flower at all.
Khayaal, perfume line, ₹599
A sparkling bergamot and neroli. The neroli is an orange-blossom note, so the strict reading that removed Adaa removes this too. Named here with the caveat rather than offered without it.

If you would like the looser reading argued properly - feminine rebuilt on citrus, spice and musk rather than on a flower, with Adaa's jasmine disclosed in the same breath - that is I hate strong jasmine and rose, can I still find a feminine perfume oil. And if what you actually want is the note-order method for reading any attar listing - what counts as a major note and what counts as support - that is can I buy attar without rose being a major note. SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house and every attar named here is its own composition.

SOSA Samundar
The one exception, named: SOSA Nawaab at ₹399 has no floral note at any position - and it is oud, sandalwood, saffron, aged tobacco, leather and amber.
Not an attar, and said plainly
SOSA Samundar is ₹599 for 10ml - an aquatic marine, the one SOSA skin fragrance whose accord names no flower.
See the SOSA Samundar Ask for an attar recommendation
Feminine has never been a material. It has often been the reason somebody was handed a rose, and you have already said no to that twice.
— Sonal Sahani, SOSA
Why a change of format rather than a change of bottle
When a range cannot answer a question, bend the product you are shopping for and not the question

The SOSA attar specification

SOSA makes exactly four attars, and you are getting all four lists here even though the conclusion of this page is that none of them is yours. The two rows beneath them are the perfume line, named by SOSA name and accord only, which is where the honest answer to your sentence lives. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

A page that cannot sell you an attar is still doing its job if it tells you so early. SOSA makes exactly four attars, three of them carry a floral note and the fourth is built on oud, so on the strict reading of your sentence Adaa, Ameeri and Mastani are all ruled out here by name and Nawaab is a different kind of bottle entirely. The only longevity figure SOSA publishes is that the attars wear 6-8 hours; nothing is published for the perfume line or the solid body perfumes, so no figure is given for Samundar or Khayaal, and no note list is published for the solids at all, which is why this page never tells you how one of them smells and why they cannot be checked against a flower exclusion. SOSA publishes no outcome claim for a fragrance, because there is no honest way to measure one, and makes no health or skin-safety claim of any kind. Free shipping above ₹499 is the only other thing I will promise you. Ask for an attar recommendation before you spend anything.

A note from Sonal

The letters that say I hate rose and jasmine but I still want to feel like myself are the ones I am most careful with, because two different things are being said at once and only one of them is about materials. The flowers I can act on immediately. The second half is usually a worry that ruling out the two most-used flowers in Indian perfumery means accepting something austere, or something from the other side of a shop. It does not, and I am not going to tell you that flowers and femininity are the same thing, because in a formula they have never had anything to do with each other.

What I do have to tell you is that my own range cannot help. Rose is load-bearing in Ameeri and in Mastani, so those two are gone on the first reading. Adaa is the bottle this whole cluster leans on, and it carries jasmine sambac in the heart and neroli on top, and neroli is orange blossom by another name. You said jasmine. I could call that supporting rather than central and technically be right, and you would open the bottle at home and smell a jasmine. Nawaab is the only attar with no flower in it, and it is oud, aged tobacco and leather - a real option if you want it, but not a light one.

So the bottle I would send is Samundar at ₹599 for 10ml, our aquatic marine, which is on the perfume line and is not an attar - and Khayaal at the same price if orange blossom does not count for you, since its accord is a sparkling bergamot and neroli. What I cannot give you for either is a note list or a wear figure, because we publish neither for that line; 6-8 hours belongs to the attars. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

Frequently asked questions

I hate rose and jasmine but still want something feminine - which attar should I try?
Honestly, none of them. SOSA makes exactly four attars. Ameeri is built on Taif rose. Mastani is night-blooming jasmine and Damask rose. Adaa has no rose but carries jasmine sambac in the heart and neroli, an orange-blossom note, so on a strict reading it is out too. Nawaab is the only attar with no floral note, and it is oud, sandalwood, saffron, aged tobacco, leather and amber. The recommendation is Samundar, an aquatic marine at Rs 599 for 10ml, which is not an attar.
Why can't I just buy Adaa if it has no rose in it?
You can, if your objection is to rose and jasmine as the subject of a perfume rather than as any presence at all. But Adaa's published list is bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac and white musk, so there is a jasmine in the heart and an orange-blossom note on top. This page is written on the strict reading because that is what the question asks for. If the looser reading is yours, Adaa is Rs 379 for the 3ml and it is a genuine answer.
Is Samundar an attar?
No, and that matters for three reasons. It is on the SOSA perfume line, so it is sprayed rather than dabbed on pulse points; no note list is published for it, only its accord, which is an aquatic marine; and no longevity figure is published for it, because 6-8 hours is the attars' published figure and does not transfer. SOSA also makes no aquatic, marine or ozonic attar at all, so if you want this accord there is no oil version to choose instead.
Does Khayaal count as flower-free?
That depends entirely on you, and I would rather ask than assume. Khayaal's accord is a sparkling bergamot and neroli, and neroli is an orange-blossom note, which makes it a flower by most readings. If your two words were specifically rose and jasmine and orange blossom is fine, Khayaal is available at Rs 599 for 10ml. If any flower is out, it goes the same way Adaa did, and Samundar is the one that survives.
Should I consider Nawaab since it has no floral note?
It is a legitimate choice and our own store's masculine positioning is a label we wrote rather than a fact about the materials, so overrule it if you like. What you should weigh is what is actually in the bottle: white royal oud, Mysore sandalwood, Kashmir saffron, aged tobacco, leather and amber, at Rs 399 for the 3ml, wearing 6-8 hours. It is the heaviest thing SOSA makes for skin. If the light and bright half of your sentence matters, this is not that bottle.
SOSA Samundar
And the answer, which is not an attar: SOSA Samundar at ₹599 for 10ml, an aquatic marine on our perfume line, with no flower in the accord and no note list published.

Facts verified 17 September 2026 against the live SOSA product pages: SOSA makes four attars, each sold in three sizes, 3ml, 6ml and 12ml. SOSA Adaa is ₹379, ₹669 and ₹1,149, with published notes of bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac and white musk. SOSA Ameeri is ₹385, ₹679 and ₹1,165, with published notes of Taif rose, Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron and soft oudh. SOSA Mastani is ₹389, ₹685 and ₹1,179, with published notes of night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood, oudh, vanilla and tonka. SOSA Nawaab is ₹399, ₹699 and ₹1,199, with published notes of white royal oud, Mysore sandalwood, Kashmir saffron, aged tobacco, leather and amber. All four are alcohol-free perfume oils with no DPG carriers, on a skin-safe jojoba and sandalwood base, composed by an ISIPCA Versailles-trained perfumer and hand-blended in Pune, and the only longevity figure SOSA publishes for them is that they wear 6-8 hours. The Pack of 3 (₹1,055, ₹1,859 and ₹3,189) is Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, and it does not include Adaa. The SOSA perfume line - including Khayaal and Samundar - comes in 10ml, 50ml and 100ml and is referred to on these pages by its SOSA name and its accord only. SOSA publishes no note list and no longevity figure for the solid body perfumes or for the perfume line, so neither is given here, and how a solid body perfume smells is never described. SOSA sells no attar sampler and no discovery set, which is why the 3ml is the sample size and is what these pages recommend buying first. Free shipping above ₹499 is the only logistics fact stated on these pages. Choosing a fragrance is a matter of preference: SOSA makes no health, skin-safety, hypoallergenic, therapeutic or wellbeing claim for any fragrance, makes no claim about compliments, confidence or any other outcome of wearing one, and offers nothing here as medical advice - a reaction on skin is a conversation for a doctor rather than for a perfumer.
