A Perfumer's Honest Fixes
If your bathroom diffuser feels faint, the fix is almost always mechanical, not magical: use more reeds, flip them more often, refresh the oil, and make sure the diffuser is sized for the room. I will walk you through each lever in the order I would try them myself.

How do I make my bathroom diffuser stronger?
To make a bathroom reed diffuser stronger, do four things in order: add more reeds (five or six instead of three), flip them every few days so the wet ends face up, top up or refresh the oil if it is low or old, and confirm the diffuser is sized for the room. If the bathroom is small and the bottle is full and fresh, the reed count is your biggest lever.
Strength is mostly reed count and freshness - not luck.

The four levers, in the order I would pull them
When someone tells me their diffuser is too faint, I do not reach for a stronger fragrance first. I reach for the four things that actually move scent throw. Here they are, cheapest and fastest at the top.
1. Reed count. This is the single biggest lever you control. Each reed is a wick, and more wicks means more oil climbing and evaporating into the room. If you are running three reeds in a bathroom that feels weak, jump to five or six and give it a full day to catch up.
2. Flip the reeds. The tops of the reeds dry out as the scent evaporates. Turning them so the wet, saturated ends face up gives you an immediate lift. In a humid bathroom I flip mine every three or four days.
3. Refresh the oil. Old oil that has been sitting for weeks projects poorly even with a full set of reeds. If the bottle is low, top it up. If it is old, a fresh refill will feel dramatically stronger.
4. Match the room. One reed diffuser is composed for one ordinary bathroom. If the space is large or very draughty, an undersized bottle will always feel faint. A 130ml with a full set of reeds is the honest answer there.
A small trick from my own bathroom: keep the diffuser away from the exhaust fan and the window. A steady draught pulls scent straight out before it can build. A still shelf near the door holds fragrance far better.
Common mistakes that quietly mute a diffuser
Myth: a stronger fragrance oil is the fix. Usually not. Most faint-diffuser complaints trace back to too few reeds, a draughty spot, or tired oil - not the oil being weak.
Two honest cautions. First, humidity slows evaporation, so a very steamy bathroom will always read a little softer than a dry bedroom - that is physics, not a fault. Keep the diffuser off the direct line of shower spray so the reeds do not get wet with water instead of oil.
Second, and I want to be clear about this: a reed diffuser freshens and layers a pleasant scent over a clean room. It does not remove the source of a bad smell. If your bathroom smells off, clean and ventilate first, then let the diffuser do the pleasant part. Making it "stronger" will not fix an underlying odour - it will only sit on top of it.
