This question always arrives counted. Twelve displays, fifteen, twenty-two across two halls - as though the number were the input and the answer scaled with it. It does not scale, and the reason it does not is the most useful thing I can tell you about scenting a showroom floor.
Quick answers — read this first
I have 10-15 display kitchens. How many fragrances do I need? One. Your displays are not separate rooms - they are furniture standing in a single shared volume of air. Fragrance released anywhere on that floor reaches everywhere on it within minutes, so fifteen fragrances would not stay in fifteen places; they would meet in the aisles and become one confused smell. One showroom, one profile, held at one level. You differentiate displays with materials, lighting and styling, which actually stay where you put them.

Then how many machines - one per few displays? Almost certainly one machine for the whole floor. What decides the count is never how many displays you have; it is how many genuinely separate volumes of air the building holds. A second floor is a second volume. A closed consultation room with its own AC might be. A second corner of the same open display hall never is - two machines in one volume do not add up, they meet, and the meeting point is a seam a customer walks through.

What does that cost? For a display floor of roughly 1,500 sq ft and up, one SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999, run low on a trading-hours timer. Total hardware spend: ₹11,999, one machine, however many kitchens you have on show. If your studio is under about 750 sq ft - and plenty of showrooms with a dozen compact displays are - the honest answer is one SOSA Sukoon at ₹1,899 and a Vaayu would be the wrong buy.
The short answer
Short answer: one fragrance and, in almost every case, one machine. Display kitchens share a single volume of air, so the number of displays is a merchandising fact with no bearing on the scenting decision - which is settled by cubic volume and air path instead. One Vaayu (₹11,999) placed upstream covers a display floor of 1,500 sq ft and up; under about 750 sq ft the honest buy is a Sukoon (₹1,899).
The pick: one SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999), placed where air enters the display hall rather than in the middle of it, or one SOSA Sukoon (₹1,899) if the whole studio is one small room.
Next step: send the floor plan with the displays marked and the AC supply and return grilles drawn on it, and we will tell you which single position does the whole hall - Ask for a retail scenting plan.
Fifteen display kitchens, one volume of air - the answer in five linesThe display count is merchandising, not a scenting factOne shared volume of air means one profile at one levelNot one machine per display - they meet in the aisleOne Vaayu ₹11,999; under 750 sq ft, a Sukoon ₹1,899Measure the cubic volume, then find where air enters
Two numbers decide this and neither of them is the number of displays: the cubic volume of the hall, and how many separate air paths the building has. Count those instead.

Straight answer
How many fragrances and machines does a showroom with 10-15 display kitchens need?
One fragrance, and almost certainly one machine - and the reason is the most useful sentence in this guide, because it saves you money rather than costing it. The number of display kitchens is a merchandising fact. It tells me how much stock you carry, how many stories a designer can tell walking a customer through, and how you have divided a floor visually. It tells me nothing whatsoever about the scenting decision, because that decision is made by two things and only two: the cubic volume of air the space holds, and where the air enters and leaves it. Your displays sit inside that volume. They do not divide it. A display kitchen has no ceiling, no fourth wall and no door - it is a beautifully built piece of furniture standing in a room, and the room is what has air in it. So when someone asks whether display eight can have its own fragrance while display nine has another, the honest answer is that it is not an aesthetic disagreement, it is a physical impossibility: two fragrances released three metres apart in a shared airspace do not stay put, they mix, and the mixture is what your customer actually walks through in the aisle between them. One showroom, one profile, one level. Differentiate your displays with the things that hold their position - timber against stone, warm light against cool, the styling on the worktop - and let the air be the one constant that runs underneath all of them. That also settles the machine count, which is the part people are really asking about. What limits a single machine is never distance and never display density; it is a shut door or a genuinely separate air path. A second floor is a second volume. A consultation room that closes and has its own AC may be. A second corner of the same open hall is not, and putting a second machine there does not double your coverage - the two outputs meet somewhere in the middle and that meeting point is a seam a customer notices as a change. So: do the cubic arithmetic. Length times width times height in metres, no deduction for the displays, and compare it against a rating in cubic metres rather than square feet. For a display hall from roughly 1,500 sq ft upward, one SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999, rated to 1000m³, placed where air enters the hall rather than in the geometric centre of it, run low on a trading-hours timer. Total hardware spend: ₹11,999, one machine, fifteen kitchens. And the honest concession: plenty of showrooms with a dozen compact displays are under 750 sq ft, and at that size a Vaayu is roughly seven times the volume you own - buy one SOSA Sukoon at ₹1,899 instead. Two standing limits either way. Fragrance is never a mask - if the newest displays are still off-gassing laminate and adhesive, ventilate and wait rather than scenting over it. And plainly: no one can promise you that ambient scent moves footfall, enquiries or order value, and a supplier quoting you a figure per display is selling. Ask for a retail scenting plan and send the floor plan.
Count volumes of air, not displays. Fifteen kitchens in one hall is one volume, one profile, one machine - ₹11,999 from about 1,500 sq ft, ₹1,899 below 750. A second machine belongs to a second volume, never a second corner.
For a multi-display hall from about 1,500 sq ft, one SOSA Vaayu - rated to 1000m³, which is more air than most display floors hold, so it runs low rather than working hard. Waterless, under 38dB, with app timers and a key-lock that matters on a floor where several people have opinions about the dial. ₹11,999. Under 750 sq ft, buy the Sukoon.

The machine, by volume rather than by display count

Two honest answers, both decided by the cubic volume of the hall and neither by how many kitchens stand in it. The images link to the product pages so you can check the specifications yourself.

SOSA Vaayu
A display hall from about 1,500 sq ft
SOSA Vaayu
Waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³, about 2,000-3,000 sq ft. 400ml tank running 90+ days a fill, Bluetooth app with 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, adjustable intensity, under 38dB, 5W, auto-stop and key-lock. Freestanding or wall and HVAC mountable, which is how one unit reaches a whole hall instead of one end of it.
From ₹11,999
SOSA Sukoon
A dozen compact displays in under 750 sq ft
SOSA Sukoon
Ultrasonic cool-mist diffuser covering roughly 270-320 sq ft, supplied with three 15ml fragrances. Display count changes nothing here either - a small single-room studio is a small volume, and the honest buy is ₹1,899 rather than six times that for a rating you cannot use.
From ₹1,899
SOSA Vaayu
One machine, one hall, however many kitchens are in it
SOSA Vaayu
1000m³ coverage (about 2,000-3,000 sq ft), 400ml tank running 90+ days a fill, Bluetooth app and 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, adjustable intensity, under 38dB, 5W, freestanding or wall and HVAC mount, auto-stop and key-lock. CE, RoHS and SGS certified. Made in India. Cold-air refill oil is not currently sold separately - the machine ships with 400ml and further supply should be confirmed with SOSA.

The three things that actually decide the count

None of the three is the display count. Work through them in this order and the hardware answer falls out at the end rather than being chosen at the start.

1
Count volumes, not kitchens
A display kitchen has no ceiling, no fourth wall and no door
Walk your floor and ask a single question at every boundary: does air stop here? A partition that reaches the ceiling stops air. A door that closes stops air. A separate AC circuit usually means a separate air path. A run of tall units at the end of a display, however solid it looks, stops nothing - air goes over it, round it and through the gap the aisle leaves. Most showrooms that describe themselves as having twelve zones have exactly one volume of air and a lot of good merchandising. That is not a criticism of the merchandising; it is the fact the scenting plan has to be built on.
Tip: If you can walk from one display to another without opening anything, they share air.
SOSA Vaayu
One Vaayu ₹11,999, set once and left alone, is the whole hardware side of this.
See SOSA Vaayu →
2
Do the cubic arithmetic out loud
Ratings are in cubic metres; showrooms get described in square feet
Measure length and width in metres, multiply by the actual ceiling height, and deduct nothing at all for the displays - they take up floor, not air you need to reach. A 1,500 sq ft hall at a normal ceiling is roughly 420m³; the same footprint under a double-height ceiling can be closer to 700m³, and that is the number the machine has to serve. The Vaayu is rated to 1000m³, which is why one unit covers most display halls with room to spare and runs at a low setting rather than flat out. Treat any supplier who quotes you only square feet as having skipped the first step of the calculation.
Tip: Write the cubic figure on the plan. It is the number every later decision refers back to.

3
Place it on the air path, not in the middle
One source upstream beats two sources anywhere
Once you know it is one volume and one machine, the only remaining question is where. Find where air enters the hall - the AC supply grilles, the fresh-air intake, the direction the room moves when the door opens - and put the machine upstream of the floor, roughly a metre up, away from the return grille that would draw the output straight back out. A machine parked in the geometric centre of a hall because that looked fair on the plan is fighting the air in two directions at once. And never inside a display kitchen: it belongs to the room, not to a set piece, and a customer opening a cabinet should find a cabinet.

The SOSA principle
You are counting the wrong noun. Fifteen display kitchens is a number about stock and storytelling; the number that decides this is how many volumes of air your building actually contains, and in most showrooms that number is one.
Which is why the answer to a bigger showroom is so often the same single machine, moved to a better position.
SOSA Vaayu
Rated well past a display hall: 1000m³ means a typical multi-display floor uses a fraction of the Vaayu's capacity, so it sits low instead of straining. ₹11,999.

The plan for a multi-display floor

The whole answer as a plan, written so it survives being handed to whoever actually opens the showroom in the morning.

The SOSA plan
How to scent a hall carrying ten to twenty display kitchens
The step What to do
Count the volumes
Walk the floor and mark every point where air genuinely stops - a full-height wall, a door that closes, a separate AC circuit. Ignore partitions, tall units and aisles. Most showrooms end up with one.
SOSA VaayuMeasure the cube
Length x width x height in metres for each volume, deducting nothing for displays, and compare against a rating in m³ rather than sq ft.
Choose one profile
A single dry, material-led register for the whole floor. Displays get differentiated by timber, stone, lighting and styling - never by smell, which will not stay where you put it.
Place one machine
Upstream on the air path, about a metre up, away from the AC return, never at the door and never inside a display kitchen.
Set the level from the seat
Judge it from the consultation table at minute ninety, not from the aisle on arrival, and ask the designers before you ask yourself.
SOSA VaayuAdd a second machine only for a second volume
Another floor, a room that closes with its own AC. Never a second corner of the same hall.

The same physics answers the question people usually ask next, which is whether each display could at least be scented individually if the budget allowed - whether every kitchen display should be scented or the whole showroom should share one fragrance takes that apart properly. And if you would rather start from the arithmetic than from the displays, how to calculate the right scent-machine capacity for your showroom is the method in full. SOSA is independent and not affiliated with any hotel.

SOSA Vaayu
One dial, locked: A key-lock keeps the level where you set it on a floor where a dozen people pass the machine every day. ₹11,999.
One volume, one profile, one machine
SOSA Vaayu ₹11,999 is rated to 1000m³ - more air than most display halls hold, whether there are eight kitchens in it or twenty.
See the SOSA Vaayu Book a scenting plan
I have never once specified a machine by counting display kitchens. I count doors, walls and AC circuits, because those are the only things on your floor plan that air pays any attention to.
— Sonal Sahani, SOSA

The SOSA kitchen-showroom specification

Two machines cover almost every multi-display showroom, with the Aangan taking over once you are specifying into a building's air handling rather than placing a unit in a room. Cold-air refill oil is not currently sold separately, so the 400ml supplied runs 90+ days a fill and further supply should be confirmed with SOSA before you plan around it. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

Count volumes of air rather than displays, do the cubic arithmetic before looking at any product page, and place the machine on the air path rather than in the middle of the plan. Ambient scent here is a presentation decision like lighting or display styling; it is never used to mask another smell - not laminate, not adhesive, not cooking - and where the newest displays are still off-gassing, the honest answer is ventilation and time first. A note from Sonal

The way this question arrives tells me what people expect the answer to be. It comes counted - twelve displays, fifteen, twenty-two over two halls - as though I were going to multiply something. I understand why: everything else in a showroom scales with the display count. The lighting scales, the flooring scales, the staffing scales, the stock certainly scales. So it feels reasonable that the scenting should too, and I have had owners tell me they were bracing for a quotation with fifteen line items on it.

Air does not work that way. Your displays are furniture standing in one room, and the room is the thing that holds air. The moment you accept that, the question stops being about displays and becomes about doors, full-height walls and AC circuits - which is a much shorter list and usually comes to one. That is why a showroom with twenty kitchens on show and a showroom with six can end up with an identical specification, and why my advice for a bigger floor is so often the same single machine moved to a better position rather than a second one added.

So on hardware I would rather undersell, as usual. One Vaayu at ₹11,999 for a display hall from about 1,500 sq ft, and one Sukoon at ₹1,899 if the whole studio is one small room, whatever the display count says. Past roughly 5,000 sq ft with a central air handler the conversation becomes an Aangan at ₹25,999. Nothing edible in any of them, the level set from the consultation seat, and nothing bought at all while a new display is still off-gassing. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

Frequently asked questions

How do I fragrance a showroom with 10-15 different display kitchens?
With one fragrance and, in almost every case, one machine. The displays share a single volume of air, so the display count has no bearing on the decision - cubic volume and air path decide it instead. Measure the hall in metres, compare it against a rating in cubic metres, and place one machine upstream where air enters. From about 1,500 sq ft that is one Vaayu at Rs 11,999; under 750 sq ft it is a Sukoon at Rs 1,899.
Can I give each display kitchen its own fragrance?
Not in practice. Two fragrances released a few metres apart in one shared airspace do not stay in their positions - they mix within minutes, and what a customer actually walks through in the aisle is the mixture rather than either intention. A display kitchen has no ceiling, no fourth wall and no door, so it is furniture in a room rather than a room. Differentiate displays with timber, stone, lighting and styling, which stay where you put them.
Should I buy one machine per few displays instead?
No. Machine count follows volumes of air, not displays. Two machines in one open hall do not combine into double coverage; their outputs meet somewhere in the middle and that meeting point reads as a change rather than as strength. A second machine earns its place only where there is a second volume - another floor, or a room that closes and has its own air conditioning.
Does a bigger showroom automatically need a bigger machine?
Not automatically, because the rating is in cubic metres and a bigger footprint at a normal ceiling height may still sit well inside 1000 cubic metres. What genuinely changes the answer is ceiling height, since a double-height hall can hold close to twice the air its floor area suggests. Do the arithmetic in metres before looking at any product page, and treat a supplier quoting only square feet as having skipped a step.
Will scenting a bigger display floor bring in more customers?
No one can promise that and I will not. SOSA has run no research that would support a figure, and there is no honest way to separate ambient scent from the lighting, the displays, the designer and everything else a customer meets over a ninety-minute visit. The question worth answering is whether the air on your floor is coherent with what the displays cost - which you can judge yourself, standing in it.

Facts verified 5 September 2026 against the live SOSA product pages: the SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is a waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³, described by the manufacturer as approximately 2,000-3,000 sq ft, with adjustable intensity, a 400ml refillable tank lasting 90+ days a fill depending on intensity and run hours, Bluetooth app and button control, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, operation under 38dB at 5W, freestanding or wall and HVAC mounting, auto-stop and key-lock, and CE, RoHS and SGS certification, which are electrical and compliance marks and not medical approvals. Being waterless, it adds no moisture and leaves no residue on surfaces or equipment. The SOSA Sukoon (₹1,899) is an ultrasonic cool-mist diffuser covering roughly 270-320 sq ft and is supplied with three 15ml fragrances; the water-based Hotel Collection (₹299 / ₹999 / ₹1,799) is an ultrasonic fragrance and is not a refill for a waterless cold-air machine. SOSA reed diffusers are alcohol-free and phthalate-free, with 50ml lasting about 6-8 weeks and 130ml about 14-18 weeks. Cold-air refill oil for the Vaayu is not currently sold separately - the machine ships with 400ml included and further refills should be confirmed with SOSA.
