The instinct is right and the cost of acting on it is what stops people: you do not want eight identical boxes going to eight homes, but you also do not want eight separate shopping problems. Those two things feel like they must trade against each other, and for most gift categories they do. In one category they do not, because the range is the variation - five scents, one product, one set of facts to check, and the only thing that changes from household to household is which bottle you write next to the name.
Where the variety actually comes from. Five SOSA scents, ₹749 to ₹849 in 50ml - Morning Freshness, Garden Bloom, Evening Calm, Mountain Breeze and Fresh Brew - sharing one format, 6 fibre reeds, a refillable glass bottle and a published 6 to 8 weeks. Different bottles for different homes, and one set of facts to check.
Quick answers — read this first
Can each household get a different fragrance without choosing eight different gifts? Yes, because the variation sits inside one product. SOSA reed diffusers come in five scents at ₹749 for Morning Freshness, ₹799 for Garden Bloom and Evening Calm, and ₹849 for Mountain Breeze and Fresh Brew in 50ml. Same format, same published life of 6 to 8 weeks, same 6 fibre reeds in a refillable glass bottle. Different bottles, one decision.
Is choosing by broad scent character the same as knowing somebody's taste? No, and it is worth being straight about that. Citrus, floral, herbal, woody and roasted are five wide buckets, not five people. Sorting your list into them is a real difference between the gifts and it is not knowledge of anybody's preference. If you actually know that one household dislikes florals, use that. Where you do not know, you are choosing a variation, not a match.
Does a different scent per home cost more? The spread is ₹749 to ₹849 in 50ml and ₹1,249 to ₹1,349 in 130ml, so the gap between the cheapest and dearest bottle is a hundred rupees. SOSA publishes no bulk rate, no minimum and no price break, so the arithmetic is simply the list prices multiplied by the number of homes. Quantities are settled on WhatsApp.
The short answer
Short answer: Yes - five SOSA scents sit in one product, so each household can get a different bottle while you make one decision. Rs 749 to Rs 849 in 50ml, published at 6 to 8 weeks. The honest limit: broad scent character is not the same as knowing anybody's taste.
A gift cannot change how somebody's week went, and a page that suggests otherwise is not worth reading. What a small parcel does is tell a person you were thinking about them on a day when nothing made you - which is a real thing to say, and worth saying. Keep it small, because a large one asks somebody already short of energy to produce a reaction, and send the words separately, because the object cannot carry them.
We want different fragrances for different relatives rather than giving every household an identical Diwali gift. Does choosing by broad scent preference create enough of a difference?
It creates a real difference and a smaller one than it feels like, and both halves of that are worth saying. The real part: SOSA reed diffusers come in five scents - ₹749 for Morning Freshness, lemon and mint; ₹799 for Garden Bloom, rose and jasmine; ₹799 for Evening Calm, lavender and chamomile; ₹849 for Mountain Breeze, pine, sage and cedar; and ₹849 for Fresh Brew, coffee and vanilla, all in 50ml, with ₹1,249 to ₹1,349 the same five in 130ml. Every one is the same format: 6 fibre reeds in a refillable glass bottle, published to last 6 to 8 weeks in 50ml and 14 to 18 weeks in 130ml, on a coconut-derived CCT carrier that is phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India, with no flame, no socket and nothing to switch on. So the homes genuinely receive different objects while you check one set of facts once. The smaller part: sorting eight households into citrus, floral, herbal, woody and roasted is sorting them into five wide buckets. It is not knowledge of anybody's preference, and a page that told you it was would be selling you a feeling rather than a fact. Where you do know something firm - a household that has said it dislikes strong florals, a home where somebody works with coffee all day - use it, and where you do not, accept that you are varying the gift rather than matching it. Nothing here can tell you how any of it will be received. Two further gaps worth knowing before you plan: SOSA publishes no coverage or room-size figure for a reed diffuser, and no bulk rate, no minimum and no price break is published anywhere. A portion of every SOSA order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Different bottles, one decision. That is the whole mechanism, and it is worth keeping separate from the claim that you have matched anybody, which you have not.
The working shape: one 50ml per household, ₹749 to ₹849, scent varied down the list - same format, same 6 to 8 weeks, no flame and no socket anywhere.
One category, five bottles, and one decision repeated
Three things to settle, in this sequence: what actually varies, what your sorting does and does not know, and what the list costs once it is written down.
1
The mechanism
Why five scents is one decision rather than five
A normal multi-household gift list is expensive in attention because every entry restarts the whole problem: a different product, a different price, a different set of unknowns, a different thing to check. Eight entries, eight investigations.
A single product with a range inside it collapses that. You check the format once - 6 fibre reeds, a refillable glass bottle, a CCT carrier that is phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India, published at 6 to 8 weeks in 50ml and 14 to 18 weeks in 130ml, with no flame, no socket and nothing to switch on - and that check covers every home on the list.
What remains per household is one small choice from five, which takes seconds rather than an evening. The households receive visibly different gifts; you made one decision and then repeated a label. That is the trade this page is built on, and it is a fact about how the range is shaped rather than a claim about anybody.
Tip: The range does the varying. You are choosing once and writing five different names.
2
The honest limit
What sorting by scent character does not tell you
Be precise about the size of what you are doing. Citrus, floral, herbal, woody and roasted are five wide categories. Putting a household into one of them is a decision you made on very little, and it does not become knowledge because it was made carefully.
Where you do have a hard fact, use it: somebody who has said a strong floral gives them a headache, a home where an evening scent is the wrong register, a household you have visited and can picture. Where you do not, you are distributing variety rather than matching taste, and the page you are reading cannot upgrade one into the other.
One practical consequence of admitting that. If most of your list is genuine guesswork, weight it towards the least declarative end: Morning Freshness at ₹749 is lemon and mint and asks the least of an unfamiliar nose, while Fresh Brew at ₹849 is coffee and vanilla and is the strongest opinion in the range. And nothing here can tell you how any household will receive any of it.
3
The arithmetic
What the list costs, and what SOSA does not publish about it
The spread is narrow, which makes planning simple. 50ml: ₹749, ₹799, ₹799, ₹849, ₹849 - a hundred rupees between the cheapest and the dearest bottle, so mixing scents across a list barely moves the total. 130ml: ₹1,249 to ₹1,349.Duo sets are ₹1,498, ₹1,548 and ₹1,598 in 50ml x 2 and ₹2,498 to ₹2,598 in 130ml x 2, for the one or two homes where a single bottle would sit oddly.
Now the gaps, because a plan built on an assumption here will break. SOSA publishes no bulk rate, no minimum, no price break and no lead time anywhere, so do not budget on one existing. Bulk orders are welcome and quantities are settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531.
And presentation, which catches people planning several homes at once. Custom label or logo on product is the only branding SOSA offers. There is no custom box, no printed sleeve and no insert card. There is no carton, no ribbon and no message card. If eight gifts have to look uniform on a table, that is yours to arrange.
Tip: Budget on the list prices, because no rate, minimum or price break is published anywhere.
The property that makes this work as a first-visit gift
A consumable is not an object somebody has to keep
The real fear behind a first-visit gift is not that it will be disliked. It is that it will have to be kept - displayed, dusted, and eventually explained if it disappears. A decorative object carries all of that into a home you have never seen. A reed diffuser does not, because it ends by itself. The published life makes that concrete: 6 to 8 weeks for the 50ml at ₹749 to ₹849, and 14 to 18 weeks for the 130ml at ₹1,249 to ₹1,349. It also asks nothing of anybody on the day - no flame, no socket, no switch, nothing to demonstrate. And if they do like it, the glass bottle is refillable, with refills at ₹2,399 for 300ml and ₹3,499 for 500ml in all five scents.
How to turn a list of homes into a list of bottles
Write the households first. One address per line, not one person per line.
Mark only the homes where you know something firm about scent.
Give the rest the least declarative scents rather than guessing harder.
Set size by the visit: 50ml from Rs 749, 130ml from Rs 1,249 for a stay.
The SOSA principle
Variety and matching are two different things, and only one of them is available to somebody choosing for households they barely know. The range supplies the variety. Nothing supplies the match.
A plan that is honest about which one it is doing is easier to execute and much easier to defend to yourself afterwards.
The five, in price order, and what separates them
The five, in price order, with what actually separates them. Morning Freshness at ₹749 is Malabar lemon and mint - bright citrus, the least declarative of the range. Garden Bloom at ₹799 is British rose and night-blooming jasmine, a floral in a widely familiar register. Evening Calm at ₹799 is lavender and chamomile, soft and herbal. Mountain Breeze at ₹849 is Himalayan pine, sage and cedar, green and woody. Fresh Brew at ₹849 is Coorg coffee and Kerala vanilla, warm and roasted and the most distinctive of the five. All are phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India, on a coconut-derived CCT carrier, with 6 fibre reeds in a refillable glass bottle. Five buckets is the resolution you are working at. It is real, and it is coarse.
The SOSA gift edit
Four ways to handle several households, and where each one runs into trouble
The option
Who it suits, and where it fails
The same bottle to every home · from ₹749 each
Simplest to execute and easiest to keep track of, and it never gets anybody's scent wrong by trying. It runs into trouble only where the homes compare notes and you wanted the gifts to differ rather than be counted.
A different scent per home · ₹749 to ₹849 each
One decision repeated, since the format, the published 6 to 8 weeks and the reeds are identical across all five. Its limit is honest: sorting into citrus, floral, herbal, woody and roasted is coarse, and it is not knowledge of anybody's taste.
A chosen pair of scents for each home · not offered
Not available, so plan around it. Day and Night at ₹1,498, Fresh and Grounded at ₹1,548 and Warmth and Bloom at ₹1,598 are the entire set range, none is composed to order, and both bottles in a set are the same size.
Something worn, one per person · attars from ₹379
Addresses an individual rather than an address, which multiplies the list by everybody in the house and needs a personal taste per name. An attar is worn on the body; a reed diffuser is placed in a room, and that is the distinction doing the work here.
When one bottle is not quite the right size of gesture
The three duo sets - and they are the only three
Several of these situations want something a little larger without becoming complicated: a first formal visit, a weekend stay, a household that has just hosted you for a week. The published answer is a duo set - two bottles in one box. Day & Night pairs Morning Freshness with Evening Calm at ₹1,498; Fresh & Grounded pairs Morning Freshness with Mountain Breeze at ₹1,548; Warmth & Bloom pairs Fresh Brew with Garden Bloom at ₹1,598. In 130ml x 2 they are ₹2,498, ₹2,548 and ₹2,598. Those three pairings are the entire set range, none is composed to order, and both bottles in a set are the same size. On presentation, be straight with yourself before you order: custom label or logo on product is the only branding SOSA offers - there is no custom box, no printed sleeve and no insert card.
Two things worth deciding deliberately rather than by default. Sizes can be mixed across the list - 50ml at ₹749 to ₹849 for the homes you are visiting for an evening, 130ml at ₹1,249 to ₹1,349 where you are staying or where the hospitality has been longer, and a duo set from ₹1,498 for the one household where a single bottle would look thin. Refills exist for all five scents at ₹2,399 for 300ml and ₹3,499 for 500ml, which is a later question rather than a gifting one. And SOSA attars from ₹379 are the other way to vary a list, with a different consequence: an attar is worn by one person, so it turns a list of homes into a list of individuals and their tastes.
₹749 to ₹849 across five scents, published to last 6 to 8 weeks. Large enough to be a proper object, small enough that the household never has to find permanent space for it.
₹1,249 to ₹1,349, published to last 14 to 18 weeks. The same object with more of it - the honest way to make the gesture larger without making it more complicated.
Two bottles in one box, ₹1,498 to ₹1,598 in 50ml and ₹2,498 to ₹2,598 in 130ml. Three published pairings, and those three are the whole range - none is composed to order.
from ₹1,498
Why this category answers a first-visit problem at all
It finishes. That is the entire argument, and it is a fact rather than a claim.
The fear behind almost every first-visit gift question is the same one: that you will hand somebody an object they now have to keep. A vase has to be displayed. A framed thing has to go on a wall. A decorative piece has to survive somebody's taste, and you have never seen the room. A reed diffuser is a consumable, so it carries none of that. It sits somewhere for a while and then it is gone, and nobody has to explain why it is no longer out. The published life makes that concrete rather than vague: 6 to 8 weeks for the 50ml (₹749 to ₹849) and 14 to 18 weeks for the 130ml (₹1,249 to ₹1,349). It also asks nothing of the household on the day: no flame, no socket, no switch, no batteries and nothing to explain at a front door - it works by standing there, with 6 fibre reeds in a refillable glass bottle, on a CCT coconut-derived carrier that is phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India. Flip the reeds roughly once a week to refresh projection. What anybody makes of being given one is not something SOSA can tell you, and no page should pretend otherwise.
Tell SOSA who it is for, roughly how big the room is, whether their home is already scented and what you want to spend - and you will be told which size and which scent, including the times the honest answer is the 50ml rather than the 130ml.
Varying the gift and matching the person are not the same achievement. The range gives you the first for free. Nobody can sell you the second.
— Sonal Sahani, SOSA
The SOSA gifting range
Two questions settle almost every reed diffuser gift, and the first one is not price. How big is the room it is going into? A 50ml suits a bedroom, a study, a hallway or a first diffuser; a 130ml suits an open-plan living and dining area, and it is genuinely too much for a small closed bedroom. Then: how much do you actually know about their taste? The less you know, the less declarative the scent should be - Morning Freshness is the safest of the five for a home you have never stood in, and Fresh Brew coffee-vanilla is the strongest opinion in the range. Price follows those two answers rather than leading them.
The SOSA range, sorted by how much it asks of the person receiving it
Start from what the gift demands, not from what it costs
₹749 to ₹849 across five scents. Published to last 6 to 8 weeks, with 6 fibre reeds and a refillable glass bottle. No flame, no socket, nothing to switch on
Day & Night ₹1,498, Fresh & Grounded ₹1,548, Warmth & Bloom ₹1,598 in 50ml x 2; ₹2,498 to ₹2,598 in 130ml x 2. These three pairings are the whole set range
From ₹379 in 3ml. An attar is a personal gift and a reed diffuser is a household one - which is the distinction most first-visit questions are really about
Boond ₹899, Sukoon ₹1,899, Megh ₹5,999 - they need a socket, water and regular refilling. That is a commitment to hand somebody on a first visit
from ₹899
A reed diffuser is a consumable, which is the whole argument for it as a first-visit gift. It is not a permanent object competing for a shelf in somebody else's home, and it needs no flame, no socket, no switch and no explanation at a front door. Published life is 6 to 8 weeks for the 50ml and 14 to 18 weeks for the 130ml, with 6 fibre reeds per bottle, a refillable glass bottle, and a CCT coconut-derived carrier that is phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India. Flip the reeds roughly once a week to refresh projection - the product pages state the interval slightly differently, between every three and every seven days. Fragrance adds a scent to a room; it does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify an odour and it does not clean the air. Prices above are published retail prices; bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available, with quantities settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531. SOSA is an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, sending orders across India. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
The honest spec sheet
What the SOSA reed pages publish, and what they do not
Everything below is on the live product pages. Anything not on this list is not something a page like this should state.
The five scents and their prices - Morning Freshness, Malabar lemon and mint, ₹749 and ₹1,249; Garden Bloom, British rose and night-blooming jasmine, ₹799 and ₹1,299; Evening Calm, lavender and chamomile, ₹799 and ₹1,299; Mountain Breeze, Himalayan pine, sage and cedar, ₹849 and ₹1,349; Fresh Brew, Coorg coffee and Kerala vanilla, ₹849 and ₹1,349.
Published life - 6 to 8 weeks for the 50ml and 14 to 18 weeks for the 130ml, stated on all five pages. This is newer and more specific than the flat figure earlier SOSA writing used.
The format - 6 fibre reeds per bottle rather than rattan, a refillable glass bottle, and a CCT carrier (caprylic/capric triglyceride, coconut-derived) that is phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant. Made in India, formulated by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles trained. No flame, no socket, no switch.
Flip the reeds roughly once a week to refresh projection. The pages state it slightly differently - once a week on three of them, every five to seven days on one, every three to five on another - so treat it as about weekly rather than as a rule.
Duo sets and refills - three published pairings at ₹1,498, ₹1,548 and ₹1,598 in 50ml x 2 and ₹2,498 to ₹2,598 in 130ml x 2, and refills at ₹2,399 for 300ml and ₹3,499 for 500ml in all five scents. Those three pairings are the entire set range and none is composed to order.
Not published, and therefore never stated here: any coverage or room-size figure for a reed diffuser; how a scent behaves in a particular home; any bulk rate, minimum quantity, price break or lead time; any presentation packaging beyond a custom label or logo on product; and anything whatsoever about how a gift is received. Those go to WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.
Not sure how big the gesture should be? Tell SOSA on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 four things: whose home you are going to and how well you know them, whether you are staying or visiting for an evening, roughly what you want to spend, and whether anybody in the household has said anything about scent. You will get one straight answer rather than a catalogue - including the times the honest answer is the 50ml at ₹749 rather than anything larger. What is not on this page, because SOSA does not publish it: any coverage or room-size figure for a reed diffuser, any bulk rate, minimum quantity or lead time, and anything at all about how a gift is received. What is: 6 to 8 weeks for the 50ml, 14 to 18 weeks for the 130ml, 6 fibre reeds, a refillable glass bottle, and refills at ₹2,399 for 300ml and ₹3,499 for 500ml in all five scents. On presentation, be warned: custom label or logo on product is the one branding option - there is no custom box, no printed sleeve and no insert card, and there is no carton, no ribbon and no message card, so anything you want wrapped is yours to arrange. Where SOSA is: an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, sending orders across India, with no shop, stockist, counter or warehouse in any other city.

A note from Sonal
A particular kind of message arrives on our WhatsApp, usually in the evening, usually slightly rushed. I am going to his parents' place on Sunday. I have never met them. I cannot go empty-handed and I have no idea what they like. It is one of the few gifting questions where the person is not really shopping. They are trying not to get something wrong in front of people whose opinion they have decided matters.
So the useful thing is not a recommendation, it is a subtraction. Most of what goes wrong with a first-visit gift is permanence. A decorative object has to be kept, displayed, and eventually explained if it is not. Food runs into what people eat. Anything personal runs into taste you have not earned the right to guess at yet. What is left is the category that ends by itself, and that is genuinely why a reed diffuser keeps coming up in those messages.
The part I would want you to hold on to is the least romantic part. The 50ml is published to last six to eight weeks, and the 130ml fourteen to eighteen. It has no flame, no plug and no switch, so nobody has to be shown how it works while their family stands in a doorway. It is a glass bottle and six fibre reeds, and it does the whole job by standing on a surface.
And the part I will not pretend about: I cannot tell you how anybody will take it. Nobody selling you a gift can, and the ones who promise it are selling you reassurance rather than a product. What I can tell you is what the object is, how long it lasts and what it asks of the person receiving it - which is very little. What that is worth on a Sunday afternoon in somebody's living room is yours to judge, not mine.
Frequently asked questions
Can every household get a different scent?
Yes. There are five: Morning Freshness lemon and mint at Rs 749, Garden Bloom rose and jasmine at Rs 799, Evening Calm lavender and chamomile at Rs 799, Mountain Breeze pine, sage and cedar at Rs 849, and Fresh Brew coffee and vanilla at Rs 849, all in 50ml. The format, the 6 fibre reeds and the published 6 to 8 weeks are identical across all five, so the homes receive different objects from one product decision.
Is choosing by broad scent character enough to make the gifts feel considered?
It is a real difference between the gifts and it is not knowledge of anybody's taste, and those are two separate claims. Citrus, floral, herbal, woody and roasted are five wide buckets. Where you know something firm about a household, use it. Where you do not, you are varying rather than matching, and nothing here can tell you how any of it will be received.
Can a set be made up of two scents I select?
No. The three published pairings are the whole set range: Day and Night, Fresh and Grounded, and Warmth and Bloom, at Rs 1,498, Rs 1,548 and Rs 1,598 in 50ml x 2 and Rs 2,498, Rs 2,548 and Rs 2,598 in 130ml x 2. None is composed to order and both bottles in a set are the same size.
Is there a better rate for several households at once?
Bulk orders are welcome, and no bulk rate, no minimum, no price break and no lead time is published anywhere, so plan on the list prices. Quantities are settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531.
Will the gifts look uniform if they go to several homes on the same day?
Only as far as the bottles themselves. Custom label or logo on product is the only branding SOSA offers. There is no custom box, no printed sleeve and no insert card. There is no carton, no ribbon and no message card. If the set has to sit as one thing on a table, the presentation is yours to arrange.
Take the next step
Write the homes down, then put a scent next to each one
50ml at ₹749 to ₹849 for the homes you are visiting for an evening - 6 to 8 weeks, no flame, no socket. 130ml at ₹1,249 to ₹1,349 where you are staying - 14 to 18 weeks. A duo set from ₹1,498 for the household where one bottle would look thin. Bulk orders are welcome and no rate, minimum or price break is published, so quantities are settled on WhatsApp - send the list and the sizes will be talked through with you.
Not sure which one suits the person you are buying for? Send SOSA their age, whether they drive, whether they like their home scented and your budget on WhatsApp, and you will get an honest answer - including when the cheaper product is the better gift.

Three duo combo sets are published: Day & Night at ₹1,498 in 50ml x 2 and ₹2,498 in 130ml x 2, Fresh & Grounded at ₹1,548 and ₹2,548, and Warmth & Bloom at ₹1,598 and ₹2,598; those three pairings are the entire set range and none is composed to order. Reed diffuser refills are ₹2,399 for 300ml and ₹3,499 for 500ml, published for all five scents. For comparison: SOSA attars are ₹379 to ₹399 in 3ml, rising to ₹1,149 to ₹1,199 in 12ml, and are worn rather than placed; SOSA candles start at ₹399 and require a flame; the ultrasonic machines Boond ₹899, Sukoon ₹1,899 and Megh ₹5,999 are water-based and need a socket, water and regular refilling. What is not published, and is therefore not stated here: any coverage, room-size or square-footage figure for a reed diffuser; how a scent behaves in any particular home; any shelf life, oil concentration or evaporation rate; any bulk rate, minimum quantity, price break or lead time; and any presentation packaging beyond a custom label or logo on product. Limits of this guide: fragrance adds a scent to a room. It does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify an odour, it does not clean the air, and no SOSA product makes any health, antibacterial or air-purifying claim. No claim is made anywhere on this page about mood, stress, calm, sleep or wellbeing; where a product is named Evening Calm or Mountain Breeze that is a product name and not a claim about its effect. No claim is made about how any gift will be received. Nothing here states or implies that a gift will impress anybody, be appreciated, create a good impression or affect any relationship; SOSA publishes no information of that kind and none is invented here. No statement is made about what any community, religion or family customarily eats, drinks or gives, and no etiquette rule is presented as a fact - the reasoning offered is reasoning the reader can check against their own situation. No rating, review count or customer name from any product page is cited, and no competitor or category of competing product is characterised. Bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available; that is the only branding option, and quantities are settled on WhatsApp. SOSA Home & Body is an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, Maharashtra, sending orders across India, with no shop, showroom, stockist, counter or warehouse in any other city. Prices and availability are subject to change - see the live product pages.
