A jeweller with three shops usually wants one answer they can send to all three managers, and the honest response is that they need one sentence and three numbers. The sentence is the same everywhere. The numbers are different in every branch and will stay different, because the buildings are different, and any attempt to make them match is how a chain ends up with one shop that reads of nothing and another that reads of too much.
Quick answers — read this first
Can multiple jewellery branches use the same signature scent at different intensities? Yes, and that is the correct way to run it. The register is what travels — the same composition, the same family, the same character in every shop. The level is a property of each building's volume, ceiling height, door pattern and air conditioning, so it should differ branch by branch and be recorded rather than remembered.

What actually has to be written down? For each branch: the composition in use, the machine or reed and where exactly it sits, the intensity setting, the run window, the date the level was last set and who set it, and the date of the next refill. One card per branch, kept near the machine, updated when anything changes. That card is the whole discipline.

What cannot be standardised? Volume and ceiling height, door behaviour, how the air conditioning is zoned, what the branch sits next to on the street, and how long a visit lasts. All of those set the level, which is why the level is the one number a head office should never try to fix centrally.
The short answer
Short answer: Standardise the register, the placement rule and the record card. Never standardise the number on the dial. A branch with a double-height entrance and a branch in a low first-floor unit will need different settings to produce the same result, and the result is what you are matching.
The pick: Mountain Breeze at ₹849 as the register that travels. SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 in any branch past roughly 1,500 sq ft of connected volume, and SOSA Sukoon at ₹1,899 or the reed alone in a smaller one — different equipment in different shops is normal and not a failure of consistency.
The honest limit: Nobody can promise that a scent moves a business number, and this guide does not try to. Consistency across branches is an operational goal here, not a commercial claim of any kind.
What travels and what does notTravels — the composition and its registerTravels — the placement rule and the boundary listTravels — the record card and who owns the dialDoes not travel — volume, ceiling, doors, airDoes not travel — the number on the dial
Three things a head office can genuinely standardise and two it cannot. Trying to standardise the last one is the usual cause of a chain that reads unevenly.

Straight answer
Can multiple jewellery branches use the same signature scent but different intensity settings?
Yes, and I would go further: different settings are not a compromise on consistency, they are how consistency is achieved. What a customer recognises across your branches is the character of the air, not the number on a dial, and producing the same character in two different buildings requires two different numbers. A branch with a double-height entrance and a stair void needs a setting a low-ceilinged first-floor unit would find overwhelming. Forcing both to run at 'level three' because that is what head office decided produces exactly the unevenness the policy was meant to prevent.

So separate the things that travel from the things that do not. Three things travel and should be written down once and sent everywhere. The first is the register: one composition, named, with no branch allowed to substitute something they found locally because it was cheaper or because a manager liked it. The second is the placement rule: mounted high or on the return-air path, clear of camera sightlines and public reach, never at counter level, never in the stairwell, and the strong room, workshop and back-of-house completely unscented. The third is the record card, which I will come to.

And here is what does not travel, however much a head office would like it to. Connected volume and ceiling height, which set the machine class before anything else is decided. Door behaviour — a branch on a busy street with a constantly swinging entrance holds a level quite differently from one behind a lobby. How the air conditioning is zoned and where its returns sit. How long a visit lasts in that particular shop. And the ordinary local facts: what the branch backs onto, whether its entrance faces afternoon sun, whether there is a food business two doors down. Every one of those changes the level, so the level is the one number that has to be set in the building, by somebody standing in it, at the busiest hour.

The record card is the whole discipline, and it is a single sheet of paper. For each branch: the composition in use; the machine or reed and exactly where it sits, described well enough that somebody could put it back; the intensity setting; the run window; the date the level was last set and the name of the person who set it; and the expected refill date, since a 400ml tank runs roughly 75–90 days a fill depending on intensity and run hours. Keep it near the machine, not in a folder at head office. Update it when anything changes. A key-lock does the other half of the job by making sure nothing changes without somebody deciding to change it.

One last practical note, because multi-branch questions usually arrive attached to a commercial one. SOSA operates no multi-site scheme, no volume pricing tier, no branded-unit option, no maintenance contract and no quoted dispatch schedule — none of those is something I can verify, so none is offered here. If you are equipping several branches, the only route is to ask for a scenting plan and we will size each shop individually. Nobody can promise that a scent moves a business number, and this guide does not try to.
Standardise the register, the placement rule and the record card; never standardise the number on the dial. The same composition in every branch, set to a different intensity in each because the volume, the ceiling, the doors and the air conditioning are different. One card per branch near the machine, a key-lock so nothing drifts, and enquiries for several shops through the contact page.
The thing that is identical in every branch is the composition. Mountain Breeze — Himalayan pine, sage and Indian cedar — at ₹849 for 50ml or ₹1,349 for 130ml, used the same way in the smallest shop and the largest, at whatever level each building turns out to need.

What a multi-branch Vadodara jeweller actually buys

Expect to buy different things for different shops. The register is what makes them one chain; the equipment is whatever each building honestly needs. The images link to the live product pages.

SOSA Mountain Breeze reed diffuser
The constant across every branch, whatever else changes
SOSA Mountain Breeze
Himalayan pine with sage and Indian cedar on an alcohol-free base, ₹849 for 50ml lasting 6–8 weeks or ₹1,349 for 130ml lasting 14–18 weeks. In a small branch this is the whole answer; in a large one it is the register the machine delivers. Either way it is the single line in the policy that no branch is allowed to vary, because it is the thing a customer would recognise between shops.
From ₹849

For any branch past roughly 1,500 sq ft of connected volume
SOSA Vaayu
₹11,999 per branch. The features that make a multi-branch policy workable are the adjustable intensity — set locally, recorded on the card — the 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, and the key-lock, which is what stops three shops drifting to three different places over six months. 1000m³ coverage, 400ml tank lasting roughly 75–90 days a fill, under 38dB, waterless, wall or HVAC mountable.

What makes the same register hold at three different numbers
SOSA Vaayu
₹11,999 per branch. Adjustable intensity set in the building rather than centrally, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, auto-stop and a key-lock so a recorded setting stays recorded. 1000m³ coverage (about 2,000–3,000 sq ft depending on ceiling height), 400ml tank lasting roughly 75–90 days a fill depending on intensity and run hours, Bluetooth app plus onboard buttons, under 38dB, freestanding or wall and HVAC mount. DC 12V/1A at 5W — roughly 1.5 units of electricity a month on a ten-hour daily schedule, and tariffs vary. CE, RoHS and SGS certified, which are electrical and compliance marks. Made in India.

The three parts of a multi-branch policy

A fragrance policy for several shops is three short documents, and only one of them contains a number.

1
The register is the policy
One composition, named, with no local substitutions
The only thing a customer could recognise between two of your shops is the character of the air, so that is the thing to fix centrally and defend. Name the composition in writing. Do not let a branch substitute something similar because it was easier to source locally or because a manager preferred it — 'similar' is precisely where consistency goes, and nobody at head office will notice until a customer does. This is also the cheapest part of the policy to enforce, because it is a purchasing instruction rather than a setting.
Tip: Put the composition name on the record card in the branch, not only in the head-office file. The person who reorders is the person who needs to read it.
SOSA Mountain Breeze reed diffuser
Mountain Breeze is the register itself — the one line in the policy that is identical in every shop.

2
The level belongs to the building
Set it in the shop, at the busiest hour, by somebody standing in it
Connected volume, ceiling height, door behaviour and how the air conditioning is zoned all differ between branches, and every one of them changes the level required to produce the same result. A number decided centrally is a number decided in the wrong building. Send the method instead: set it in a warm, full room at the busiest hour, walk in from the street to check it, and write down what you chose. Different numbers in different shops are evidence the policy is working, not evidence it has failed.
Tip: Have the same person set all three branches within a fortnight if you can. One nose calibrating across the group is worth more than any written specification.
SOSA Vaayu
SOSA Vaayu lets each branch hold its own number, and the key-lock keeps it there between visits.

3
The record card
One sheet per branch, kept near the machine rather than in a folder
Write down the composition, the equipment and exactly where it sits, the intensity, the run window, the date the level was last set and by whom, and the expected refill date. That sheet turns a fragrance policy from something in somebody's memory into something a new manager can inherit. It also makes drift visible: if the card says one thing and the machine says another, somebody changed it and did not say so, which is a management question rather than a fragrance one.
Tip: Photograph the placement when you set it and tape the photograph to the card. Machines get moved during cleaning and nobody remembers where they were.
SOSA Sukoon ultrasonic diffuser
SOSA Sukoon at ₹1,899 is the honest rung for a small branch that still wants a switch and a run window of its own.
See SOSA Sukoon →
The SOSA principle
Three shops running the same number on the dial will not smell the same. Three shops running the same composition at three different numbers might. The dial is the part that belongs to the building, not to the brand.
Which is why a multi-branch fragrance policy is a page of words and a card in each shop, not a setting sent round in a message.
SOSA Mountain Breeze reed diffuser
The constant: Mountain Breeze at ₹849 for 50ml — the one line in a multi-branch policy that is identical everywhere, whatever each building needs from its dial.

What travels between branches, and what stays put

A working separation for a group with more than one shop. The right-hand column is what belongs on the card in each branch.

The SOSA plan
Three things to standardise, five things to measure locally
What Travels Between Branches What Cannot Travel What Goes in the Settings Record
Mountain BreezeThe composition and its register
Nothing about it changes between shops — this is the line that makes the group one group The composition name, written where the person who reorders will actually read it
SOSA VaayuThe placement rule
The specific position does not travel — every building has different mounting options and a different camera layout Where the machine sits, described well enough to put it back, with a photograph taped to the card
The boundary list — what is never scented
Nothing. Strong room, workshop and back-of-house are out in every branch without exception The list itself, copied identically onto every branch's card
The method for setting the level
The number never travels. Volume, ceiling height, door pattern and air-conditioning zoning all differ The intensity, the run window, the date it was last set and the name of the person who set it
SOSA SukoonThe refill rhythm
A larger branch on longer hours empties a tank faster than a small one, so dates differ The expected refill date — roughly 75–90 days a fill on a 400ml tank, or 6–8 weeks on a 50ml reed

The placement rule that every branch has to obey, including the security constraints, is set out in where a machine should go in a multi-floor jewellery store. The settings discipline that matters most when all the branches get busy at once is in should stores increase strength during wedding and festival seasons. If a smaller branch is wondering whether it needs a machine at all, the proportion page answers that in both directions, and the register that is being standardised is argued in what a premium jewellery showroom should smell like.

One register, three numbers
Send us the dimensions and ceiling heights of each branch and we will size them separately and write you one register with a card for every shop.
See Mountain BreezeBook a scenting plan
A chain does not become consistent by sending the same number to every shop. It becomes consistent by sending the same register, and letting every shop find its own number for it.

Ambient scent is an interior decision with no health, therapeutic or air-treatment claim of any kind, and no claim is made that consistency across branches affects sales, footfall or any other business number. The strong room, workshop and back-of-house stay completely unscented in every branch.

A note from Sonal

The request I get from a group is almost always for a single number, because a single number is easy to send in a message and easy to check. I understand why, and I still cannot give it. A number set in a flagship with a six-metre entrance is simply the wrong number for a first-floor unit with a nine-foot ceiling, and sending it anyway guarantees one of the two shops is wrong.

What I can give is a sentence and a card. The sentence names the composition and the placement rule and the list of rooms that are never scented. The card sits in each branch, next to the machine, and carries the local setting, the run window, who set it and when, and the next refill date. That is a complete fragrance policy for a group of shops and it fits on one side of paper.

If I could persuade multi-branch owners of one thing, it would be to send the same person round all the shops within a fortnight to set them. One nose calibrating across a group does more for consistency than any document. And to lock the dial afterwards — SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 has a key-lock, and a locked setting is the only kind that is still true in six months.

Frequently asked questions

Can multiple jewellery branches use the same signature scent but different intensity settings?
Yes, and that is the correct way to run it. The register travels and the level does not, because connected volume, ceiling height, door behaviour and air-conditioning zoning differ between buildings. Standardise the composition — Mountain Breeze at ₹849, for example — and let each shop find the number that produces the same result in its own room.
What should a head office standardise, and what should it leave alone?
Standardise three things: the composition, the placement rule (mounted high or on the return-air path, clear of camera sightlines and public reach, never at counter level) and the boundary list of rooms that are never scented. Leave the intensity and the run window to be set inside each building, at its busiest hour, by somebody standing in it.
What goes on the per-branch settings card?
The composition in use, the equipment and exactly where it sits with a photograph taped to the card, the intensity, the run window, the date the level was last set and by whom, and the expected refill date — roughly 75–90 days on a 400ml tank, or 6–8 weeks on a 50ml reed. Keep it near the machine rather than in a folder at head office.
Do all branches need the same equipment for the scent to be consistent?
No. A small branch may be honestly served by Mountain Breeze at ₹849 alone, a mid-sized one by SOSA Sukoon at ₹1,899, and a larger one by SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 or, past 3,000 sq ft of one connected volume, SOSA Angaan at ₹25,999. Different equipment producing the same register is consistency; identical equipment producing different levels is not.
Is there a multi-branch arrangement for equipping several shops at once?
No such scheme exists and this page will not imply one. There is no multi-site programme, no volume pricing tier, no branded-unit option, no maintenance contract and no quoted dispatch schedule, because none of those is something SOSA can verify. The only route for a several-branch enquiry is the contact page, where each shop is sized individually.

Editorial standards & sources
About this guide: Written by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles-trained founder and perfumer at SOSA Home & Body. Product recommendations reflect the SOSA range; the planning advice applies to any brand.

Facts verified 5 September 2026 against the live SOSA product pages: the SOSA reed diffusers are alcohol-free, phthalate-free and paraben-free compositions on a heat-stable coconut-derived base, supplied in a refillable glass bottle with six fibre reeds, flipped weekly, with 50ml lasting 6-8 weeks and 130ml lasting 14-18 weeks, tested at 45°C and 85% relative humidity - Mountain Breeze ₹849 / ₹1,349, Morning Freshness ₹749 / ₹1,249, Evening Calm ₹799 / ₹1,299. The SOSA Sukoon (₹1,899) is an ultrasonic cool-mist diffuser covering about 270-320 sq ft for 16-18 hours on the low setting and supplied with three 15ml Hotel Collection fragrances; being ultrasonic, it works by aerosolising water and therefore adds some moisture to the air, which is worth weighing in a warm, high-occupancy room. The SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is a waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³, described by the manufacturer as approximately 2,000-3,000 sq ft, with a 400ml refillable tank lasting roughly 75-90 days a fill depending on intensity and run hours, Bluetooth app and onboard button control, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, adjustable intensity, operation under 38dB, DC 12V/1A at 5W (roughly 1.5 units of electricity a month on a ten-hour daily schedule, and tariffs vary), freestanding or wall and HVAC mounting, auto-stop and key-lock, and CE, RoHS and SGS certification - which are electrical and compliance marks, not medical approval. Being waterless, it adds no moisture and leaves no residue on surfaces or equipment; refill availability should be confirmed with SOSA. The SOSA Angaan (₹25,999) is an HVAC nebulising diffuser rated to 3,000m³, roughly 8,000-10,000 sq ft, with an 800ml reservoir, metal body, programmable schedules and operation under 42dB. Coverage figures are volumetric, so ceiling height changes the floor area a machine genuinely serves. SOSA products are not medical devices and no health, therapeutic, wellbeing or air-treatment claim is made or implied anywhere in this guide, and nothing here claims that ambient scent affects sales, orders, enquiries, footfall, conversion or any other business number - no one can promise that, and this guide does not. Ambient scent is an interior decision that works alongside cleaning, ventilation, air handling and housekeeping and is never a substitute for any of them, and SOSA sells no deodoriser, purifier, dehumidifier or extractor. Ventilation rates, plant and laboratory air handling, pressure regimes, HVAC filtration and any decision about where a fragrance source may or may not be placed on a regulated site are matters for the company's own engineering, QA and EHS teams. Clinical, treatment and procedure areas are left completely unscented. Fragrance sensitivity is real: staff should be able to switch any system off in seconds, and no SOSA product is described as hypoallergenic or as safe for sensitive individuals. The hotel-inspired scents are SOSA's own original interpretations; SOSA is an independent brand and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any hotel named for reference. Coverage, fragrance usage and running cost depend on the space, settings and hours of use, and are confirmed on a consultation. Prices and availability are subject to change - see the live product pages.
