The five reeds, which are the entire line: Morning Freshness ₹749 · Evening Calm ₹799 · Garden Bloom ₹799 · Mountain Breeze ₹849 · Fresh Brew ₹849.
If you buy one thing: Evening Calm ₹799 — the safest blind gift in the range at 8.9 on the SOSA strength scale.
When a hamper is still correct: a gift going to a group rather than a person, a household setting up a home from scratch, or an occasion whose custom expects a spread.
The honest gaps, stated once and properly: SOSA does not sell a gift hamper, a gift box or a curated gift set of reed diffusers, and there is no gift card. The duo is a two-bottle product. There is also no oud, sandalwood, vetiver or amber reed; no aquatic or clean-linen reed; no hotel-inspired reed diffuser; and no room spray — every SOSA spray is a car perfume.
2. For a larger gift, buy two bottles rather than one big one. A duo — Day & Night ₹1,498, Fresh & Grounded ₹1,548, Warmth & Bloom ₹1,598 — is two 50ml bottles, and it is the best-value gift in the range because it hedges: the recipient keeps whichever suits them. A single 130ml at ₹1,249–₹1,349 is the better answer only when you know the room is above about 150 sq ft, where it runs 14–18 weeks.
3. The premium tier is a duo in 130ml at ₹2,498–₹2,598, and it is the top of the reed range. Weddings, a couple's new home, a senior colleague. There is nothing above it and I will not invent one.
4. A candle is the second option and only in one situation: a recipient who actively enjoys lighting something. Core 80g jar candles are ₹379, or ₹664 for a two-pack, at roughly 15–18 hours each. A reed is otherwise the better gift, because it works when the house is empty and asks nothing of anybody.
5. And the thing this series will not pretend about. SOSA does not sell a gift hamper, a gift box or a curated gift set of reed diffusers, and there is no gift card. If the presentation format is the point of your gift — if you need a basket with several things arranged inside it — we do not make one, and no arrangement of our products becomes one.

The three-tier ladder, and what each tier replaces
Everything in this series sits on one ladder with three rungs, and the rungs are defined by what they replace rather than by what they cost. Pick the rung first and the scent second — it is a much easier order to think in, and it stops the most common mistake, which is buying a large bottle for a small room because large felt more generous.
Evening Calm₹799The workhorse of the entire universe. One 50ml bottle suits a room up to about 150 sq ft — a bedroom, a bathroom, a home office — and runs 6–8 weeks, which works out at roughly ₹13–₹15 a day. Evening Calm ₹799 for a recipient you do not know; Mountain Breeze ₹849 for one who is difficult; Morning Freshness ₹749 for somebody who works from home or cooks a great deal. This tier is a complete gift on its own and does not need anything added to it.
Warmth & Bloom duo₹1,598Two ways to spend roughly the same money, and at similar money I recommend the duo. A single 130ml at ₹1,249–₹1,349 runs 14–18 weeks and belongs in a room above 150 sq ft — a living room, an entryway. A duo is two 50ml bottles at ₹1,498–₹1,598, and it hedges the one guess you had to make: the recipient keeps the scent they prefer and puts the other in a second room. To be exact about it, a duo is a two-bottle product — not a hamper, not a gift box, not a curated set. SOSA does not sell any of those.
Garden Bloom 130ml₹1,299Two 130ml bottles, 14–18 weeks each, at ₹2,498–₹2,598 depending on the pairing. This is a wedding gift, a couple's new home or a senior colleague, and it is genuinely the largest gift the reed line contains. There is nothing above it — no hamper tier, no presentation set, no upgrade. A 300ml refill at ₹2,399 sits at similar money and is not a gift; it is for somebody who already owns the bottle and has decided which scent they keep.
Why a hamper looks like more than it is
The mechanism is worth understanding, because it explains why this whole series exists. A hamper is engineered to look like a lot, and volume is the cheapest thing in the entire object. The basket, the lining, the shredded paper, the cellophane and the ribbon all contribute to how substantial it appears, and none of them is the gift. Then there are the filler items — the two or three things in the corners that nobody selected, which exist to bring the volume up to what the eye expects. The recipient discovers all of this in the order it was built, in reverse, standing at a kitchen counter. That is not a scandal; it is simply how the format works. But it does mean the impression a hamper makes is largest at the moment before anybody has examined it.
The consequence is the thing this series keeps returning to: a hamper is impressive briefly and specific never. Because it must be assembled to suit whoever opens it, it cannot contain anything chosen for one person — inclusivity and specificity are opposite design goals. And because most of its bulk is packaging, the part of it that is genuinely the gift is smaller than it looked. A 50ml glass bottle of Mountain Breeze at ₹849 makes no claim about its size at all. What it has instead is 50ml of a composition built on Himalayan pine, sage and Indian cedar, sitting on a heat-stable CCT base rather than the DPG most diffusers use, tested through 45°C heat and 85% monsoon humidity so it does not turn bitter in an Indian May.
There are three further structural differences, and they are the reason recipients respond the way they do. Duplication: hampers arrive in clusters, because everybody sends them at the same moments, and a reed diffuser is very unlikely to be the second one anybody was given that week. Dietary exposure: a mixed food hamper is a portfolio, and there are households where part of it simply cannot be used — a home avoiding sugar, a nut allergy, somebody fasting. That is a statement about gifting rather than health, and a home fragrance carries none of it. Obligation: a decorative object must be displayed out of politeness for years, whereas a consumable ends honourably in eight weeks and nobody has to feel anything about it. Those three, plus specificity, are the whole argument.

When a hamper is genuinely the better gift
Every page in this series carries this paragraph, and on the pillar it deserves to be longer. The hamper is the correct object whenever the gift is going to a group rather than a person. An office floor, a large family during a festive week, a house about to fill with visitors — in all of those a basket divides, circulates and gives everybody present something, which is precisely what a single 50ml bottle cannot do. Sending one reed diffuser into a room of thirty people is a format error, not a taste error, and no amount of good composition fixes it.
The second case is a household setting up a home. A basket of many useful things is honestly more helpful to somebody with empty cupboards than one bottle of fragrance, however good the bottle. In that house the unpacking is not a chore; it is furnishing, and the variety that I have described elsewhere as padding is the actual point. The third case is custom. In many families the spread is the greeting, and arriving with a single considered object instead can read as a small refusal to participate in a form that everybody understands. Read the room. A gift that is cleverer than the occasion is not a better gift.
Where the recipient is one household of two or three people, in a flat that is already reasonably full, receiving several gifts in the same fortnight — that is where this series applies, and there the single bottle is better on every dimension that matters. And it must be said once more, in the guide that people will land on first: SOSA does not sell a gift hamper, a gift box or a curated gift set of reed diffusers, and there is no gift card. We sell single bottles at ₹749–₹849 and ₹1,249–₹1,349, and duos of two bottles at ₹1,498–₹1,598 and ₹2,498–₹2,598. There is also no oud, sandalwood, vetiver or amber reed, no aquatic or clean-linen reed, no hotel-inspired reed diffuser, and no room spray at all — every SOSA spray is a car perfume. Those are the gaps, stated in one place rather than discovered at checkout.

Versailles
We have been asked to make a gift hamper more times than I can count, and every year I look at it again and decide against it, for a reason I want to set down plainly on the page that is meant to be the complete guide. The only way to make a basket look substantial is to put things in it that we did not compose. The moment I do that, I am selling packaging and filler alongside perfume, and asking you to pay for both. I would rather sell you one bottle that is entirely what it says it is.
So what exists is what you see here: five scents, two sizes, and pairs of bottles sold together. No hamper, no gift box, no curated set, no gift card. It costs us sales in October every single year, and I have made peace with that. What we spend the money on instead is unglamorous and does not photograph — cold-pressed Malabar lemon rather than a reconstruction, a eucalyptus base that slows the lemon's evaporation three to four times, indole held below the fecal threshold so Garden Bloom's jasmine stays floral above 30°C, and a CCT carrier instead of DPG so nothing turns bitter in a Delhi May.
If you take one instruction from ten pages of this series, take this. Send one thing, choose it on purpose, and say what it is when you hand it over. Evening Calm at ₹799 if you are guessing; Mountain Breeze at ₹849 if they are difficult; a duo at ₹1,498–₹1,598 if you want to spend more. And send the hamper without a second thought when the gift is going to a roomful of people, because that is what a hamper is genuinely good at. Everything is composed in Pune, and part of every order funds a girl's classroom through Nanhi Kali.
