With one diffuser, fragrance is a preference. With five, it becomes a plan — because in a flat this size you are no longer choosing what a room smells of, you are choosing what happens at every threshold between rooms. The mistake is to treat five machines as five opportunities. A 4BHK wants two scents, sometimes one, arranged so that the public half of the flat and the private half each has a character and the doorways between them do not sound an alarm.
Quick answers — read this first
The combination: one scent for the public zone, one quieter scent for all the bedrooms. Two bottles, five machines.

The safe pair: Four Seasons-inspired Warm Welcome in the living-dining, Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity in the bedrooms.

To choose: the Pack of 7 at ₹1,799 gives you all seven in 15ml.

To supply: a 300ml bottle at ₹1,799 — about ₹6 per millilitre — feeds a five-machine fleet for months.
The short answer
Short answer: Two scents. Four Seasons-inspired Warm Welcome or W Hotels-inspired Lobby Bar as the house scent through the living, dining and lobby, and Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity or The Ritz-Carlton-inspired Quiet Luxury in the bedrooms. Running a different fragrance in all five machines produces confusion at every doorway.
The economics: Five machines get through fragrance five times as fast. A 300ml bottle at ₹1,799 is around ₹6 per millilitre against roughly ₹20 for a 15ml at ₹299 — for a fleet, the large bottle is not a luxury, it is the sensible unit.
Worth knowing: The Hotel Collection is water-based and runs in the ultrasonic Boond, Sukoon and Megh. It cannot be used in the waterless Vaayu or Aangan, which run neat oil.
Straight answer
What is the best fragrance combination for a 4BHK?
1. One house scent for the whole public zone. The living room, dining area and entrance lobby share air, so they must share a fragrance. Four Seasons-inspired Warm Welcome is the most forgiving choice — citrus, floral and sandalwood, warm without being heavy. W Hotels-inspired Lobby Bar is the more confident one if your public zone is formal.

2. One quieter scent across all the bedrooms. Not a different scent per bedroom. Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity or The Ritz-Carlton-inspired Quiet Luxury in every bedroom gives the private half of the flat a single calm character, and means one bottle rather than three. Bedrooms are where you are still for hours, so the scent should be one you stop noticing.

3. Two bottles is the whole plan. Five machines, two fragrances. It sounds austere and it is the arrangement that reads best, because every doorway in the flat is then either a change you designed or no change at all — never an accident.

4. Use the Pack of 7 to choose, the 300ml to supply. The Pack of 7 at ₹1,799 puts all seven 15ml bottles in front of you, which is the only honest way to pick two. Once you know, a 300ml bottle at ₹1,799 — roughly ₹6 per millilitre — is the supply unit for a fleet.

5. Leave some rooms out on purpose. A fragrance plan for a big flat should say which rooms get nothing. A study where someone works, a parent's room, a nursery — plain air is a legitimate choice and it makes the scented rooms read more clearly.

TL;DR: a 4BHK wants two fragrances, not five. One house scent through the public zone, one quieter scent across the bedrooms. Choose with the Pack of 7 at ₹1,799 and supply with a 300ml at ₹1,799.

Seven water-based scents composed in India for ultrasonic diffusion — 15ml ₹299, 100ml ₹999, 300ml ₹1,799 at around ₹6 per millilitre, and a Pack of 7 at ₹1,799 with all seven in 15ml. Every Sukoon also arrives with three 15ml bottles of your choice, so a five-machine flat starts with fifteen.

Why five machines do not mean five fragrances

The temptation in a big flat is combinatorial. Seven scents, five machines, an obvious sense that this is finally the home where you can do something interesting. What actually happens is that you build a flat with five smells and four arguments between them. Fragrance boundaries in a home are not walls, they are gradients — the master bedroom door opens onto a landing that opens onto the dining area, and somewhere in that sequence two scents meet and produce a third that neither of them was. In a 2BHK the gradients are few and short. In a 4BHK with a central corridor and four bedroom doors, you have created five or six mixing zones and you will walk through most of them every day.

The arrangement that works is the one hotels use, which is not a coincidence given where these scents come from. One character for the space guests occupy, one quieter character for the space you sleep in. Two fragrances, chosen so they belong to related families — a white-tea and cedar scent behind a citrus and sandalwood one, say — so that where they meet they blur rather than collide. It also solves the supply problem before it starts. Two bottles across five machines is a routine you can keep; five bottles means five things to run out of, and a flat where the third bedroom smells wrong for a fortnight because you forgot to reorder. If you want variety, get it across seasons rather than across rooms — change the house scent twice a year and the whole flat moves together.

The three fragrance decisions in a 4BHK

1
DECISION ONE · THE HOUSE SCENT
The one the public zone runs on
SOSA Hotel CollectionHotel CollectionFrom ₹299This is the scent your home is, because it is the one anybody who visits meets first. Four Seasons-inspired Warm Welcome — citrus, floral and sandalwood — is the safest large-flat choice: warm, legible, and it does not tire across a long open zone. W Hotels-inspired Lobby Bar is sharper and more urban, right for a formal public zone with hard surfaces. The St. Regis-inspired Old-World Glamour is the one to pick if you want the flat to feel composed rather than welcoming. Run whichever you choose in both public-zone machines at the same dose, so the two ends of the room agree.
The rule: both machines in one open zone always run the same scent. There is no such thing as two fragrances in one body of air.
2
DECISION TWO · THE BEDROOM SCENT
One scent, all the bedrooms
Bedrooms want something you stop noticing, because you are lying still in it for eight hours. Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity — white tea, aloe and cedar — is the archetype: clean, cool, undemanding. The Ritz-Carlton-inspired Quiet Luxury is a little more polished if the master is the room you want to feel like a good hotel. 1 Hotels-inspired Forest Suite suits a bedroom that doubles as a study, since cedarwood and vetiver read as focus rather than comfort. Use the same one in every bedroom. Different scents behind four doors off one landing is the arrangement that sounds charming and behaves badly.
The dose: three to four drops in a bedroom against four to five in the public zone. Stillness lowers the threshold.
3
DECISION THREE · HOW YOU BUY IT
Pack of 7 to choose, 300ml to run
Five Sukoons arrive with fifteen 15ml bottles between them, which is generous and not a plan. To choose deliberately, the Pack of 7 at ₹1,799 gives you all seven in 15ml — run each for a few days in the public zone and the two you want will be obvious. To supply, a 300ml bottle at ₹1,799 works out around ₹6 per millilitre against roughly ₹20 for a 15ml at ₹299. Across a five-machine flat that difference is the whole running cost. Refills start at ₹999 for 100ml.

The zone-by-zone scent plan

A working plan for a 4BHK with five machines. Two fragrances do all of it. The drops column matters more here than in a small flat, because a big home over-scented at every machine becomes noticeable at the front door in a way nobody enjoys.

4BHK scent plan
Two fragrances, five machines, one coherent flat
Zone Scent Drops Why
Living zone ★ Four Seasons-inspired Warm Welcome 4–5 Warm and legible across a long open space
Dining end of the same zone ★ The same scent, same dose 4–5 One body of air takes one fragrance — never two
Entrance lobby Borrowed from the living zone Do not add a machine here if it is open to the living room
Master bedroom Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity 3–4 Clean and cool — the point is to stop noticing it
Second and third bedrooms The same bedroom scent 3–4 One character behind every private door, so the landing does not fight
Study or work room 1 Hotels-inspired Forest Suite if scented at all 2–3 Cedar and vetiver read as focus, not comfort
Rooms left plain Nothing A deliberate blank makes the scented rooms read more clearly
Note on seasons: if you want variety, change the house scent twice a year rather than running different fragrances room to room. The Pack of 7 at ₹1,799 is the cheapest way to audition the alternatives.

The fragrance for a five-machine flat
The SOSA principle
A flat with five fragrances has no fragrance — it has four arguments and a corridor in the middle of them.
Two scents, one public and one private, is the arrangement that reads as a home with a smell rather than a building with several.

Drops, dilution and when each zone runs

Dose downward as you add machines. The general Hotel Collection guidance is three to six drops per tank, and in a five-machine flat the working figures are four to five in the public zone and three to four in bedrooms. The reason is cumulative rather than per-room: with internal doors open, five machines each dosed at the top of the range produce a flat that announces itself from the lift lobby. If a visitor remarks on the fragrance before they have taken their shoes off, take a drop out of every machine rather than moving anything.

Never mix two scents in one tank, and rinse properly when you change what a machine runs. This matters more in a fleet than in a single-machine home, because the machines get swapped around — the one from the guest room ends up in the study, still carrying a fortnight of the old fragrance in its tank and plate. Empty, rinse with clean water, run a short cycle with plain water if you are changing between very different families, then refill. Use filtered water in hard-water cities to keep the misting plates clear, and never substitute raw essential or carrier oils, which are too thick to atomise properly.

Then the schedule, which is the other half of the combination. Do not run all five continuously. The public zone machines want the evening, from an hour before people are in the room; bedroom machines want the hour before the room is used, on the 2H timer, then off. Stagger the public zone pair by ten or fifteen minutes so the room fills gradually. Run the flat this way and one 300ml bottle at ₹1,799 supplies five machines for months — run everything constantly and you will be reordering within weeks and noticing none of it.

Two scents in a big flat is not a restriction. It is the only way the doorways make sense.

What the fragrance for a 4BHK costs

The fragrance arithmetic on its own, separate from the machines. Note that five Sukoons arrive with fifteen 15ml bottles included, so the first months of a new fleet cost nothing extra at all.

The 4BHK fragrance budget
Five ways to supply five machines
Purchase What you get Suits Total
Included Three 15ml bottles per Sukoon — fifteen across five machines The first months ₹0 extra
To choose ★ Pack of 7 — all seven scents in 15ml Auditioning before you commit ₹1,799
To supply ★ One 300ml bottle — about ₹6 per millilitre A house scent across five machines ₹1,799
Two zones properly Two 100ml refills ₹999 × 2 One public scent and one bedroom scent ₹1,998
Choose and supply Pack of 7 ₹1,799 + a 300ml bottle ₹1,799 The complete fragrance plan ₹3,598
Honest notes before you buy: a 15ml bottle at ₹299 works out around ₹20 per millilitre against roughly ₹6 for the 300ml at ₹1,799 — across five machines that is the difference between a running cost you notice and one you do not. These are ultrasonic, water-based fragrances, so they add a little humidity, welcome in a dry or air-conditioned flat and less so in a coastal monsoon. They run in the Boond, Sukoon and Megh, which are imported from China; the fragrances themselves are composed and made in India. They are not for reed diffusers, and they cannot be used in the waterless Vaayu (₹11,999) or Aangan (₹25,999), which nebulise neat oil. Use filtered water in hard-water areas, rinse tanks between scents, and keep fragrance away from children and pets. SOSA Vaayu · waterless ₹11,999
Worth knowing before you build a fragrance plan around a big flat: the Vaayu is waterless, nebulises neat oil, and cannot run the water-based Hotel Collection at all. Choosing one means choosing a different fragrance system, not a different diffuser — and it still cannot reach a closed bedroom.

A note from Sonal

The seven scents were composed to sit together. That was deliberate — I wanted a range where any two could share a home without one of them having to lose. It does not follow that you should use all seven at once, and a 4BHK is where people try.

What a big flat teaches you, if you let it, is that fragrance is experienced in motion. You do not stand in the middle of a room and evaluate it; you walk from the lift into the lobby into the living room, down a corridor, into a bedroom. Every one of those transitions is a moment where a scent either continues, changes cleanly, or turns into a muddle. Two fragrances gives you one designed transition. Five gives you four accidents.

So take the Pack of 7 at ₹1,799, live with each for a few days, and pick two. Then buy the 300ml at ₹1,799 and stop thinking about it for six months. That is a flat with a smell, which is a different and better thing than a flat full of smells. A portion of every order funds a girl's classroom through Nanhi Kali.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best fragrance combination for a 4BHK?
Two scents. One house scent through the public zone — Four Seasons-inspired Warm Welcome is the safest across a large open space, W Hotels-inspired Lobby Bar if the room is more formal — and one quieter scent across all the bedrooms, usually Westin-inspired White Tea Serenity or The Ritz-Carlton-inspired Quiet Luxury. Two bottles supply five machines and every doorway in the flat then makes sense.
Can I use a different fragrance in every room of a 4BHK?
You can, and it rarely works. A 4BHK has a central corridor and four bedroom doors, which means five or six places where two scents meet and blur into a third. One character for the public zone and one for the private rooms gives you a single designed transition instead of several accidental ones.
Is the Pack of 7 worth it for a big flat?
For choosing, yes. At ₹1,799 the Pack of 7 puts all seven 15ml bottles in front of you, which is the only reliable way to pick the two your flat will run on — the alternative is committing to a 300ml bottle on a description. For supplying five machines afterwards, the 300ml at ₹1,799 is the right purchase.
How much fragrance do five diffusers use?
At three to five drops per tank and a couple of hours a day per machine, one 300ml bottle at ₹1,799 — about ₹6 per millilitre — supplies a five-machine flat for months. Running everything continuously is what turns that into weeks, and you stop noticing the scent anyway.
Can I use the Hotel Collection in a Vaayu for the big room?
No. The Vaayu at ₹11,999 is waterless and nebulises neat oil — it cannot take the water-based Hotel Collection at all. If you put a Vaayu in a large public zone, that zone runs a different fragrance system entirely, and matching it to the water-based scent in your bedrooms is not possible.
