Almost certainly not, and the reason is worth understanding because it decides what you should do about it. 1. The geometry, which is the actual answer. Never run the car sealed to make a fragrance last
The ventilation check above needs a hard boundary drawn around it, because the obvious inference from it is wrong and it is genuinely worth naming. If fresh air dilutes what is in the cabin, then keeping the car on recirculate with everything shut will make the fragrance more noticeable. That is true. It is also not advice we will give, and you should be wary of anywhere that does. Ventilation in a car full of people is not a fragrance setting to economise on. Use the ventilation check to understand why the car smells the way it does, never as a technique for making a bottle go further. The same principle runs through the whole of winter driving, and in winter it is doubly relevant, because the season already does this to you without asking. Closed windows and a running heater mean almost no air exchange, and warmer air lifts fragrance faster off every source in the cabin. That is why a great many people who ask why their bottle feels weak in November find that by late January the same bottle at the same setting feels like a lot. Honest notes before you spend anything. Hanging and spray are not a quality ladder. They are the same oil at the same price with the same safety profile, and SOSA's own guidance is to choose by how you drive rather than by what you pay: the hanging bottle gives a mild level that is simply there every time you get in, and the spray gives a strong level exactly when you decide you want one. A car cabin is tiny. A sedan holds only a few cubic metres of air, which is a fraction of any room, so under-dosing is the sensible default and one spray is usually a decision rather than a starting point. Winter changes the dose, not the scent. Closed windows and a running heater mean almost no air exchange and warmer air lifting fragrance faster off any source, so the same bottle reads considerably stronger in January than in October - tighten the stopper or use fewer sprays rather than changing what you own. Placement matters for safety before it matters for fragrance. A hanging bottle must never sit where it obstructs your view of the road; hang it so it is secure and out of your sightline, and never spray while driving or towards the windscreen. Keep any bottle from resting directly against leather, fabric or dashboard plastics. Cars are shared. A car is the smallest space any of us scents, and the one we sit closest to. Two or three cubic metres of air, a metre from your face, with the windows up and the heater on for four months of the year. I say this to customers constantly and it still surprises people: almost every car fragrance problem I am sent is a dose problem, not a scent problem. The bottle is not weak and the oil is not wrong. The cabin simply gives fragrance nowhere to go, and winter takes away the little ventilation that was rescuing you in October.
That is why we sell the hanging bottle and the spray at the same price. They are the same oil. One gives you a mild level that is always there and asks nothing of you; the other gives you a strong level the moment you decide you want one. Neither is the better product, and pricing them differently would only push people toward whichever we wanted to sell. Choose by how you drive: a long daily commute is a hanging car, a car that matters most when somebody else gets into it is a spray car, and plenty of people quite sensibly run both.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know if my hanging bottle is finished or just faint?
Go by the clock and by the glass. A SOSA hanging bottle lasts four to six weeks, which is 28 to 42 days of continuous mild diffusion, so if you hung it more than six weeks ago it is finished rather than faint, and the glass will show it. The fix is a 15ml refill from Rs 399, available in eight scents, which fills the same bottle for another four to six weeks and saves Rs 50 to Rs 60 against buying new. Refilling takes two minutes: unscrew the cap, lift out the reed stick, pour slowly, wipe the neck, drop the reed back in, re-cap, hang it and give it about an hour to settle while the reed re-saturates. If it is only two or three weeks old and feels faint, the bottle is not the problem - check the stopper setting and check it against a fresh nose from outside the car.
Should I hang two bottles in a large SUV?
You can, and in a three-row SUV there is a reasonable logic to it, but be clear about what you are buying. Two sources give you two points of diffusion rather than one stronger point, which is genuinely useful in a long cabin - though the second one must go somewhere safe and sensible, never anywhere that obstructs the driver's view of the road and never resting against leather, fabric or dashboard plastics. Two hanging bottles of Lemon come to Rs 898, and combos bring that down in some pairings: Sandalwood and Oud at Rs 949 against Rs 988 bought singly saves Rs 39, and Jasmine and Lavender at Rs 899 against Rs 928 saves Rs 29. If you do run two, run the same scent in both - two different registers in one cabin collide rather than layer - and in winter set both lower than you would set one.
Is a spray stronger than a hanging bottle?
It delivers more in one moment, which is a different thing from being a better or stronger product. SOSA labels the hanging 12ml as mild scent-throw and the 10ml spray as strong scent-throw, and both are accurate descriptions of delivery rather than of the oil. They are the same fragrance, the same alcohol-free and phthalate-free composition, the same IFRA-compliant profile and the same price from Rs 449, which is SOSA's way of saying out loud that neither is an upgrade on the other. The hanging bottle produces a low steady level continuously for four to six weeks; the spray puts a concentrated dose into the cabin at a moment you choose, at 100 sprays a bottle. In a large SUV that difference is exactly why many people end up running both.
Will loosening the stopper all the way fix a big cabin?
Partly, and it is the right first move, but understand what it does and does not do. Loosening the stopper raises output at the source, and the source is at the rear-view mirror. So the biggest increase lands where the level was already adequate - the front seats and the driver - while the third row, which is the row you were worried about, gains comparatively little. You can end up with a front cabin that is genuinely too much in order to achieve a modest change at the back, and in a closed heated winter cabin that happens faster than you would expect. Loosen it by all means, give it a couple of days, and judge with a fresh nose. If the back is still quiet, the answer is a second source at the back rather than more output at the front.
Would the SOSA Safar be better in a large SUV than a hanging bottle?
It is a different tool rather than a stronger one, and the honest way to choose is by what you want to control.
