If your diffuser has gone silent, the oil is rarely the problem. Here are the real reasons you cannot smell it, and the quick fixes.
Quick answers — read this first
Why can't I smell my reed diffuser refill? Usually one of three things: clogged reeds (the most common - old reeds stop wicking), nose fatigue (you have simply grown used to it), or placement in a cold, tucked-away corner. Refresh the reeds, add a few more and flip them, and move it somewhere warmer and more open. Top up with a SOSA refill if the oil is low, from ₹2,399.

Is my oil empty? Often not - if there is still oil in the vessel, the reeds are the likely culprit. Empty oil is easy to see; clogged reeds are not.

What is nose fatigue? Your nose adapts to a constant smell and stops registering it. Guests will still notice it - step outside for a few minutes and it returns.
The short answer
Short answer: usually clogged reeds or nose fatigue, not empty oil.
Fix: fresh reeds, more of them, flipped; a warmer spot.
Top up: a SOSA refill if oil is low, from ₹2,399.
Straight answer
It is almost never the oil
When you cannot smell your diffuser, the instinct is to blame the oil - but that is rarely it. The three real causes are: clogged reeds (fibre reeds fill with dust and thickened oil over a few months and stop wicking - clogged, old reeds - not empty oil - are the usual reason a diffuser goes quiet.); nose fatigue (your nose adapts to a constant scent and tunes it out, though guests still smell it); and placement (a cold, sheltered corner mutes even a good oil). The fix is quick: put in fresh reeds, use a few more, flip them, and move the vessel somewhere warmer and more open. If the oil truly is low, top up with a SOSA refill. From ₹2,399.
One line: you usually can't smell it because of clogged reeds or nose fatigue, not empty oil - fresh reeds and a warmer spot fix it. From ₹2,399.

The three real reasons - and the fixes

1
Reeds
Clogged and tired
Old reeds stop wicking. Swap in fresh reeds, use a few more, and flip them - the single most effective fix.
2
Your nose
Fatigue, not fade
Your nose adapts to a constant scent. Step outside for a few minutes and it returns - guests notice it the whole time.
3
Placement
Too cold or tucked away
A cold, sheltered corner mutes the throw. Move it somewhere warmer and more open to push scent into the room.
The SOSA principle
A silent diffuser is nearly always a reed problem or a nose problem - not an oil one.
