Should every floor have its own machine? No. One per floor is a wiring rule and this is not wiring. A machine belongs to a volume where people sit, so a floor of bedrooms takes bottles and no machine at all.
How many machines does a 4BHK villa need? Usually one, for the joined ground floor. A second only where a genuinely separate upper family room exists. Most of a 4BHK is bedrooms, which take the least.
A bedroom adds a bottle. A floor is not a unit of air
BHK and floor count are the two labels Indians actually use to describe a home, so it is worth being precise about what each one can and cannot tell you, because both are informative and both are routinely read for the wrong thing. Start with BHK. It is a door count. Two bedroom hall kitchen means two sealed rooms plus a connected living area plus a space that is never scented at all, and that structure is the useful part. Because bedrooms and bathrooms sit behind doors, and because no machine crosses a closed door at any price or setting, BHK predicts your bottle number with real accuracy: roughly one reed diffuser per bedroom and per bathroom, plus one just inside the entrance, which is the highest-value position in any house because it is the only place a visitor's impression is formed. In practice that is three or four bottles in a 2BHK, five to seven in a 3BHK, seven to ten in a 4BHK and ten to sixteen in a 5BHK or 6BHK, each running three to four months untouched at Rs 749 to Rs 849 with refills at Rs 2,399 for 300ml and Rs 3,499 for 500ml. What BHK does not tell you is the machine, and the reason is structural rather than incidental. A bedroom adds a bottle and has never once added a machine. When a builder moves from a 2BHK to a 3BHK to a 4BHK, the extra rooms are added alongside the living area rather than inside it, so the connected volume - the only thing a machine serves - barely changes across the whole range. A large 4BHK and a modest 2BHK frequently have halls of similar scale, and they take the same machine or, just as often, the same absence of one. That is why we never quote a machine against a BHK on its own. The machine is decided by the connected volume alone: a hall you can stand in the middle of and see the whole of is a Sukoon at Rs 1,799; a substantial open living-dining is a Megh at Rs 3,499 with its 6L tank; and living running into dining with the passage part of the same space and the stairwell opening off it without a door is the one architecture where the Vaayu at Rs 11,999 earns its place, because a single device then replaces six or eight separate sources with one fragrance and one schedule. Floors are read even more wrongly than BHK, and the mistake has a specific origin. One per floor sounds correct because it is correct in wiring, plumbing and air conditioning, where every floor genuinely needs its own service. This is not wiring. A machine belongs to a volume where people actually sit, and floors do not divide homes into equal volumes of that kind. In the common Indian two-storey house, the ground floor is public - living, dining, kitchen, a guest bath - and the upper floor is private, meaning bedrooms behind doors. That upper floor is a corridor of shut doors with a landing between them, and a landing is a walkway rather than a room: nobody sits in it, and a machine placed there serves a space that is never occupied. So the upper floor takes bottles and no machine at all. In a three-storey house the pattern usually repeats with the ground floor given over to parking, which cannot hold fragrance and should not be attempted. There is one worthwhile wrinkle about stairwells that changes placement rather than count. A stairwell links floors, but the link reverses through the day: roof heat above and air conditioning below can pull air up or down depending on the hour, and a stairwell drains the room it opens off, which makes the foot of the stairs the single worst position for a machine in a multi-storey home. Place away from the stair opening, not near it. Where a second machine is genuinely justified, it is never because a second floor exists. It is because a second living volume exists - an upper family room where people sit for hours, distinct from bedrooms and separated from the ground floor by more than distance. That is the only version of a second machine we recommend, it caps the count at two, and it applies as readily to a 6BHK as to a 4BHK. A 6BHK, incidentally, is usually several households sharing one air supply, which introduces a different requirement entirely: shared spaces run at the lowest level anybody would still choose, private rooms stay autonomous with a bottle each, and anybody who cannot leave a room - an elderly parent, a long-staying relative, household staff - gets a low neutral register and a physical off switch they never have to justify using.
BHK and floors, read correctly
BHK and floors, read correctly. BHK is a door count, so it predicts bottles precisely: roughly one reed diffuser per bedroom and bathroom plus one just inside the entrance - Morning Freshness Rs 749, Garden Bloom Rs 799, Evening Calm Rs 799, Fresh Brew Rs 849, Mountain Breeze Rs 849, three to four months per bottle, refills Rs 2,399 for 300ml and Rs 3,499 for 500ml. That is three or four bottles in a 2BHK, five to seven in a 3BHK, seven to ten in a 4BHK and ten to sixteen in a 5BHK or 6BHK, with bedrooms at the lightest level in the home from a source the occupant can move or cap. The machine is decided by the connected volume alone: the SOSA Sukoon at Rs 1,799 for a hall you can see the whole of, the SOSA Megh at Rs 3,499 with a 6L tank for a substantial open living-dining, and the SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999 - waterless, no tank, up to 1,000 m², Bluetooth app and timer - for living running into dining into passage into stair with no doors between. Floors do not divide a home into equal volumes: an upper floor of bedrooms is a corridor of shut doors with a landing between them, and nobody sits in a landing, so it takes bottles and no machine. Place away from the stair opening, since a stairwell drains the room it opens off. A second machine is justified only by a second living volume such as an upper family room, which caps the count at two. In a 6BHK shared by several households, shared spaces run at the lowest level anybody would still choose and private rooms stay autonomous. The entrance takes a passive source: a reed or the SOSA Boond at Rs 799. Fragrance for machines: Hotel Collection at Rs 299 for 15ml, Rs 999 for 100ml and Rs 1,799 for 300ml, three to six drops per tank, rinsing between scents; it is not reed diffuser oil. Never scented: the kitchen at any time, children's rooms, the dining area during a meal, and covered parking, terraces and balconies. Anybody who cannot leave a room gets a low neutral register and a physical off switch they never have to justify using. Everything is alcohol-free and made to IFRA-compliant standards.

Versailles
Most customer gifts are bought to be handed over, not to be kept: the sweet box is finished by the family that evening, the keychain joins a drawer, the branded pen was never really a gift at all. Then the moment that cost your business lakhs to create - the new car, the new home, the big purchase - is remembered with nothing. A fragrance gift keeps that moment alive, because scent is the sense wired closest to memory: months later, your customer is still in the middle of the experience you gave them.
I trained at ISIPCA in Versailles and everything we make is built for Indian lives - car diffusers that survive a Mumbai summer, reed diffusers that hold through the monsoon, alcohol-free formulas safe to gift across every customer profile. If you run a dealership, a project, a hotel, a showroom or a team, message the bulk desk on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 - tell me the customer moment and the volumes, and I will help you design the programme myself. The business conversations are my favourite kind: one good gifting programme teaches me more about a category than a year of retail orders.
And a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali - so your customer gift quietly gives twice. That equation has always felt right to me.
Frequently asked questions
Facts verified August 2026: Olfactory memory research shows scent-linked memories are unusually durable and emotionally vivid, which is why a used-daily fragrance gift sustains brand association in a way consumable or novelty gifts do not; customer-experience research consistently finds that peak moments (delivery, possession, checkout) disproportionately shape how the whole purchase is remembered. Fragrance preference is personal: volume gifting programmes should default to gentle fresh, green and lightly floral registers, and to space formats (diffusers, reeds, car fragrance) rather than skin perfume. SOSA range: Hotel Collection ultrasonic fragrance from Rs 299; car perfumes from Rs 449 (spray and hanging, alcohol-free); attars Nawaab, Ameeri, Mastani and Adaa from Rs 379 (3ml/6ml/12ml, alcohol-free); Attar Trio from Rs 1,055; perfumes from Rs 499; reed diffusers from Rs 749; Boond Rs 799, Sukoon Rs 1,799 and Megh Rs 3,499 ultrasonic diffusers; SOSA Safar waterless car and travel diffuser Rs 3,999 (rechargeable, three hotel-inspired scents included); SOSA Vaayu waterless scent machine Rs 11,999 (~1000m³, app + timer).
