This is the decision page for this whole family, so it is short on theory and long on names. You have written a one-line brief with the word absolutely in it, and I am going to treat that word as a specification rather than as emphasis - which means enforcing it on my own shelf in public, and taking a fourth bottle off the list that a looser reading would have left standing.
Quick answers — read this first
What does absolutely change about the answer? It changes who is allowed to decide. A loose rule means I judge whether a bottle reads sweet to me and hand it over on that basis. An absolute rule means the printed note list decides, and I have no discretion at all. So the enforcement runs word by word: vanilla, tonka bean, caramel and amber, and if any of the four appears on a list, the bottle goes - whether or not you would have noticed it, and whether or not the box calls it warm rather than sweet. That is a stricter test than most people realise they are asking for.

So what is ruled out, by name? Mastani, for its vanilla and tonka. Nawaab, because amber is printed on its list, even though it reads dry-warm rather than sweet - the strict reading does not care how it reads. On the SOSA perfume line: Chashni, a sweet fruity-gourmand, Zaffran, a saffron sweet-amber, and Tabac Noir, a tobacco-vanilla. And the Pack of 3 at ₹1,055, which is Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, so it contains two failures of your rule and no Adaa at all.

What do I buy, and in what size? SOSA Adaa, the 3ml, at ₹379, and nothing else on this page. It is bergamot and green cardamom on top, neroli and jasmine sambac in the heart, and white musk underneath - no vanilla, no tonka, no caramel, no amber, and no oud either. Buy the smallest bottle first: we sell no attar sampler and no discovery set, so the 3ml is the sample size and the way to avoid a blind buy. The 6ml is ₹669 and the 12ml is ₹1,149 once you know it is yours.
The short answer
Short answer: SOSA Adaa, the 3ml at ₹379, and it is the only bottle that survives the rule read strictly. SOSA makes exactly four attars. Enforced word by word against vanilla, tonka, caramel and amber, Mastani fails on vanilla and tonka, Nawaab fails on the amber printed on its list even though it reads dry rather than sweet, Ameeri passes the sweetness test but carries rose and soft oudh, and Adaa passes on every count. Chashni, Zaffran and Tabac Noir on the perfume line all fail by their own accords, and the Pack of 3 at ₹1,055 contains two failures and no Adaa. Adaa carries jasmine sambac, which is the one caveat left on the page.
The pick: the 3ml of SOSA Adaa at ₹379 - bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac and white musk, alcohol-free, no DPG carriers, and it wears 6-8 hours, which is the only wear figure we publish. If an oil is not what you want, SOSA Khayaal (₹599 for 10ml) is a sparkling bergamot and neroli and SOSA Samundar (₹599 for 10ml) is an aquatic marine, and neither of those is an attar.
Next step: send me your rule in your own words, plus any note you would also refuse, and I will run it against all four attars and tell you what is left - including the answer that nothing is - Ask for an attar recommendation.
Absolutely not sweet - the decision, in five linesAdaa 3ml, ₹379 - one bottle, one size, nothing elseAbsolutely means the word counts, not just the tasteOut: Mastani, Chashni, Zaffran, Tabac Noir, Pack of 3₹379 for 3ml, ₹669 for 6ml, ₹1,149 for 12mlAdaa carries jasmine sambac - the one caveat left
Three of those five lines take something away, and two of the three are my own products. A page that only said yes to things would be no use to somebody who arrived with a rule.
SOSA Adaa - tap through and run your rule against the listed notes
Straight answer
Which SOSA attar should somebody choose when absolutely not sweet is the whole brief?
SOSA Adaa, the 3ml, at ₹379 - and because this is the decision page rather than an explanation, here is the audit that produced it. SOSA makes exactly four attars: Adaa, Ameeri, Mastani and Nawaab. Your rule, taken as a specification rather than as a mood, is a list of four materials to scan for: vanilla, tonka bean, caramel and amber. Run it. Mastani prints vanilla and tonka, so it fails immediately. Nawaab prints amber, and this is where the word absolutely earns its place: Nawaab reads dry-warm rather than sweet and a looser rule would keep it, but a strict one does not care how a composition reads, so it goes too. Ameeri is the honest surprise: Taif rose, real Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron and soft oudh, with none of your four materials on it, so it passes the sweetness test outright - and I am telling you that even though I am not recommending it, because it fails a different test, carrying a rose and an oudh that a reader arriving from a sweetness complaint rarely wants next. Adaa passes on every line: bergamot and green cardamom on top, neroli and jasmine sambac in the heart, white musk underneath, and no vanilla, no tonka, no caramel, no amber and no oud. On the SOSA perfume line, Chashni is a sweet fruity-gourmand, Zaffran is a saffron sweet-amber and Tabac Noir is a tobacco-vanilla; all three fail on their own accords, which is why I name them here rather than letting you meet them at checkout. The Pack of 3 at ₹1,055 is Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, so it contains two failures of your rule and no Adaa whatsoever - the wrong purchase twice over. So: one bottle, and one size. Buy the 3ml at ₹379 and nothing larger, because we sell no attar sampler and no discovery set, which makes the 3ml the sample size; the 6ml is ₹669 and the 12ml ₹1,149 for when you know. It is alcohol-free, carries no DPG, sits on a skin-safe jojoba and sandalwood base and wears 6-8 hours, which is the only longevity figure we publish. One caveat remains and I will not bury it: Adaa carries jasmine sambac in a supporting role, so if flowers are also on your list, none of our four attars is your bottle and I would rather say so plainly. And SOSA publishes no outcome claim for a fragrance, because there is no honest way to measure one, and makes no health or skin-safety claim of any kind - how your skin responds to anything is a question for a doctor rather than a perfumer. Ask for an attar recommendation and send me your rule in your own words.
One bottle, one size: Adaa, the 3ml, at ₹379. Read absolutely as a specification and it takes four names off our own shelf - Mastani for vanilla and tonka, Nawaab for the amber printed on its list, and Chashni, Zaffran and Tabac Noir on the perfume line - plus the Pack of 3, which holds two of those failures and no Adaa. Adaa's jasmine sambac is the one caveat left.
The bottle is SOSA Adaa and the size is the 3ml: bergamot and green cardamom over neroli and jasmine sambac, with white musk in the base and no vanilla, tonka, caramel or amber anywhere on the list. Alcohol-free, no DPG carriers, wears 6-8 hours. ₹379, and the 3ml is the sample size because we sell no sampler.

The bottle, and the size to buy

One attar, and one honestly-named alternative if an oil is not the format you wanted. Both cards go through to the listing so that you can run your own rule against the notes before you spend anything - which is the point of publishing them.

SOSA Adaa
The one bottle that survives the rule read strictly
SOSA Adaa, 3ml
Bergamot and green cardamom on top, neroli and jasmine sambac in the heart, white musk in the base. No vanilla, no tonka, no caramel, no amber, no oud. The lightest of our four attars, alcohol-free, no DPG carriers, on a skin-safe jojoba and sandalwood base, and it wears 6-8 hours. ₹379 for the 3ml, which is the size to buy.
From ₹379
SOSA Khayaal
If an oil is not the format you wanted
SOSA Khayaal, 10ml
Not an attar. This is the SOSA perfume line, named by SOSA name and accord only: a sparkling bergamot and neroli. No note list and no wear figure is published for that line, which means your rule cannot be enforced on it the way it can on an attar - so if the certainty is the point, stay with the 3ml. ₹599 for 10ml.
From ₹599
SOSA Adaa
The bottle at the end of the audit
SOSA Adaa
3ml, 6ml and 12ml at ₹379, ₹669 and ₹1,149. Published notes: bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac and white musk. An alcohol-free perfume oil with no DPG carriers on a skin-safe jojoba and sandalwood base, composed by an ISIPCA Versailles-trained perfumer and hand-blended in Pune. It wears 6-8 hours, which is the only longevity figure SOSA publishes. Positioned for office hours and daytime weddings. No oud, no vanilla, no rose.

The rule, enforced on our own shelf

Three steps, and the second one is the only part that takes any courage. Write the rule, run it against everything including the things you would like to sell, and then buy the smallest bottle of whatever is left.

1
Write the rule as four words
A specification is a list of materials, not an adjective
Not sweet is an adjective and adjectives cannot be checked. Turn it into materials and it becomes something you can enforce on a box in a shop: vanilla, tonka bean, caramel and amber do nearly all of the sweetness in modern perfumery, and a few relatives - benzoin, praline, a honeyed note - do the rest. Write those words down. They are all slow, heavy materials, which means they sit at the bottom of a composition and arrive late, so no shop sample will warn you about them in the first ten minutes. The list is the warning. Once you have it, you are no longer relying on anybody's description, including mine.
Tip: Keep the four words in your phone. Reading the last two notes of any list against them takes about five seconds.
SOSA Adaa
SOSA Adaa, ₹379 for 3ml - none of the four words appears on its list
See SOSA Adaa →
2
Then run it against the whole range, mine included
Four attars in, one out the other end - and the fourth falls on a word rather than a smell
Here is the audit in public. Mastani prints vanilla and tonka and fails on sight. Nawaab prints amber, and this is the case that decides whether your rule is real: it reads dry-warm rather than sweet-warm, so a looser rule keeps it and a strict one drops it, and since you used the word absolutely, I drop it. Ameeri passes the sweetness test honestly - rose, sandalwood, saffron and soft oudh, none of your four words - and it is still not my recommendation, because it carries a rose and an oudh, which is a different objection arriving in the same bottle. Adaa passes every line and is also the lightest thing we make for skin. One survivor, arrived at by subtraction.
Tip: Ameeri passing on sweetness and still being wrong for you is the useful lesson: one rule does not finish the shopping.
SOSA Adaa
Out by name: Mastani, Nawaab on the strict reading, Chashni, Zaffran, Tabac Noir, Pack of 3
See SOSA Adaa →
3
Then buy the smallest bottle and judge it in the evening
The 3ml is the sample size, and the drydown is the part you will live with
We sell no attar sampler and no discovery set, so there is no clever way to test four things at once - and the Pack of 3 at ₹1,055 is three full-size bottles of the wrong three. Buy the 3ml of one attar at ₹379 and wear it on an ordinary day, one roll on one pulse point. Then make your decision after dinner rather than in the first ten minutes, because the opening is the part chosen to sell a bottle and the base is the part you will actually be wearing. If the evening is dry and quiet on you, buy the 6ml at ₹669 or the 12ml at ₹1,149. If it is not, you have spent ₹379 and learned something specific enough to send me.
SOSA Adaa
SOSA Adaa, ₹379 for 3ml, ₹669 for 6ml, ₹1,149 for 12ml - and the attars wear 6-8 hours
See SOSA Adaa →
The SOSA principle
The word absolutely hands the decision to the printed note list and takes it away from the person selling you the bottle, which is exactly where it belongs.
Which is why amber counts even on a box that calls it warm, and why the strict reading of a one-line brief takes a fourth name off a shelf of four.
SOSA Adaa
The one survivor of the audit: SOSA Adaa is the only one of our four attars with no vanilla, no tonka, no caramel and no amber on its list. ₹379 for the 3ml.

The audit, bottle by bottle

The whole range with your rule applied to it, including the products I would rather not have to name.

The SOSA shortlist
Every SOSA product this rule touches, and the verdict on each
The bottle What to do
Mastani, ₹389
Fails. Night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood, oudh, vanilla and tonka - two of your four words printed on the list, so there is nothing to discuss and no version of the rule that keeps it.
Nawaab, ₹399
Fails on the strict reading. White royal oud, Mysore sandalwood, Kashmir saffron, aged tobacco, leather and amber. It reads dry-warm rather than sweet, but amber is on the list and absolutely means the word decides.
Ameeri, ₹385
Passes on sweetness and is still not the recommendation. Taif rose, real Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron and soft oudh: none of your four words, but a rose and an oudh instead, which is a different objection in the same bottle.
SOSA AdaaAdaa, ₹379
Passes on every line, and this is the bottle. Bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac and white musk - no vanilla, no tonka, no caramel, no amber and no oud. Buy the 3ml first.
Chashni, Zaffran and Tabac Noir
All three fail, and they fail by their own accords: a sweet fruity-gourmand, a saffron sweet-amber and a tobacco-vanilla, on the SOSA perfume line at ₹599 for 10ml. Named here so that you can walk past them.
The Pack of 3, ₹1,055
Fails twice over. It is Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, so it contains two failures of your rule, and it does not include Adaa at all. SOSA sells no sampler, and the 3ml at ₹379 is the sample size instead.

Two pages sit underneath this one if you want the reasoning rather than the verdict. Which perfume oil has almost no sweetness is the page that explains why your rule cannot be satisfied by wearing less of something, since sweetness is a material rather than a level. And why so many modern perfumes smell sweet to me explains why you keep meeting the thing you have ruled out, with no brand named and no study cited that I could not stand behind. SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house and every attar named here is its own composition.

SOSA Adaa
The bottle a looser rule would have kept: SOSA Nawaab reads dry-warm rather than sweet, but amber is printed on its list, so a strict rule drops it and this page does too.
One bottle, one size, one pulse point
SOSA Adaa is ₹379 for 3ml - the only one of our four attars that survives your rule read strictly.
See the SOSA Adaa Ask for an attar recommendation
A rule you can check on the back of a box is worth more to you than a recommendation you have to trust, and that includes mine.

Read the table as an audit rather than a shortlist: the point is what each row rules out. SOSA makes exactly four attars, and Mastani, Nawaab on the strict reading, Chashni, Zaffran, Tabac Noir and the Pack of 3 at ₹1,055 are all named on this page as wrong for you. The only longevity figure SOSA publishes is that the attars wear 6-8 hours; nothing is published for the perfume line or for the solid body perfumes, so no figure for either appears here, and no note list is published for the solids at all, which is why this page never tells you how one of them smells - and why a rule as strict as yours cannot be enforced on them. SOSA publishes no outcome claim for a fragrance, because there is no honest way to measure one - nothing about compliments, nothing about being noticed - and makes no health or skin-safety claim of any kind, because how your skin responds to a material is a question for a doctor rather than for a perfumer. A note from Sonal

The people who write to me with one line and the word absolutely in it are the easiest correspondents I have, and they almost always apologise for being demanding. You are not being demanding. You have given me something I can act on without a single follow-up question, which is more than a long description of what you hope to smell like would have done. The only thing I owe you in return is to apply your line to my own shelf as strictly as I would to anybody else's, and to publish the result even where it costs me a sale.

The perfumery is worth one paragraph. Sweetness in a modern composition is not a quality somebody dials in; it is two or three heavy materials sitting at the bottom, doing the work of holding the bright things up. Because they are heavy they evaporate slowly, and because they evaporate slowly they are what remains on you in the evening. That is the whole mechanism, and it is why an absolute rule is easier to enforce than a moderate one: the materials are named on the box, they cannot be dialled down, and a composition either has one of them or it does not.

So, one bottle and one size: Adaa at ₹379 for 3ml, because we sell no sampler and the 3ml is how you test an attar without a blind buy at ₹1,149. Named as ruled out: Mastani for its vanilla and tonka, Nawaab for the amber printed on its list, Chashni, Zaffran and Tabac Noir on the perfume line, and the Pack of 3 for holding two of those and none of Adaa. Adaa carries jasmine sambac, and you should have that from me rather than from your own wrist. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

Frequently asked questions

Which SOSA attar should I choose if absolutely not sweet is my main requirement?
SOSA Adaa, and buy the 3ml at Rs 379. SOSA makes exactly four attars, and Adaa is the only one with none of the four sweet materials on its list: bergamot and green cardamom on top, neroli and jasmine sambac in the heart, white musk in the base. Mastani fails on vanilla and tonka, and Nawaab fails on the amber printed on its list even though it reads dry rather than sweet. Adaa does carry jasmine sambac in a supporting role, which is worth knowing before you buy.
Why is Nawaab ruled out if it does not smell sweet?
Because you used the word absolutely, and that hands the decision to the printed list rather than to anybody's judgement. Nawaab is white royal oud, Mysore sandalwood, Kashmir saffron, aged tobacco, leather and amber. It reads dry-warm rather than sweet-warm, and a reader with a looser rule may well be happy with it at Rs 399. But amber is one of the four materials that produce sweetness in modern perfumery, and a strict rule does not make exceptions for how a composition happens to read.
Is Ameeri sweet? It is not on the list of things you recommended.
Ameeri is not sweet, and I would rather say so than let the omission imply otherwise. Its notes are Taif rose, real Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron and soft oudh, with no synthetic rose, and none of the four sweet materials appears on that list. It passes your rule. It is not my recommendation because it carries a rose and a soft oudh, which is a separate objection that readers arriving from a sweetness complaint usually have as well. If rose and oudh are both fine with you, Ameeri at Rs 385 is honestly available.
Should I buy the Pack of 3 to test several attars at once?
No, on two counts. It is Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani at Rs 1,055, so two of the three fail your rule outright, and Adaa is not in it at all. It is also not a sampler: it is three full-size bottles, and SOSA sells no attar sampler and no discovery set. The 3ml at Rs 379 to Rs 399 is the sample size. Buy one 3ml, wear it for a whole day, and judge it in the evening rather than in the first ten minutes.
What if I need to be certain about the drydown before I spend?
Then stay with the attars, because they are the only SOSA skin fragrances whose full note lists are published. The perfume line is described by SOSA name and accord only, and no note list is published for the solid body perfumes at all, so a rule as strict as yours cannot be checked against either of them. Adaa at Rs 379 publishes all five of its materials, and the attars wear 6-8 hours, which is the only longevity figure SOSA publishes for anything.
SOSA Adaa
And the pack that is not a shortcut: The Pack of 3 at ₹1,055 is Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani - two failures of your rule and no Adaa at all. The 3ml is the sample size instead.

Facts verified 17 September 2026 against the live SOSA product pages: SOSA makes four attars, each sold in three sizes, 3ml, 6ml and 12ml. SOSA Adaa is ₹379, ₹669 and ₹1,149, with published notes of bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac and white musk. SOSA Ameeri is ₹385, ₹679 and ₹1,165, with published notes of Taif rose, Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron and soft oudh. SOSA Mastani is ₹389, ₹685 and ₹1,179, with published notes of night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood, oudh, vanilla and tonka. SOSA Nawaab is ₹399, ₹699 and ₹1,199, with published notes of white royal oud, Mysore sandalwood, Kashmir saffron, aged tobacco, leather and amber. All four are alcohol-free perfume oils with no DPG carriers, on a skin-safe jojoba and sandalwood base, composed by an ISIPCA Versailles-trained perfumer and hand-blended in Pune, and the only longevity figure SOSA publishes for them is that they wear 6-8 hours. The Pack of 3 (₹1,055, ₹1,859 and ₹3,189) is Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, and it does not include Adaa. The SOSA perfume line - including Khayaal and Samundar - comes in 10ml, 50ml and 100ml and is referred to on these pages by its SOSA name and its accord only. SOSA publishes no note list and no longevity figure for the solid body perfumes or for the perfume line, so neither is given here, and how a solid body perfume smells is never described. SOSA sells no attar sampler and no discovery set, which is why the 3ml is the sample size and is what these pages recommend buying first. Free shipping above ₹499 is the only logistics fact stated on these pages. Choosing a fragrance is a matter of preference: SOSA makes no health, skin-safety, hypoallergenic, therapeutic or wellbeing claim for any fragrance, makes no claim about compliments, confidence or any other outcome of wearing one, and offers nothing here as medical advice - a reaction on skin is a conversation for a doctor rather than for a perfumer.
