Most pages give you an answer and ask you to trust it. This one gives you the answer and the working: six steps, in a fixed order, each taking one fact you supplied and doing one job with it, so you can see exactly where a different fact would change the result.
Quick answers — read this first
What is left if I rule out spray, hanging and vent? One category: a machine with a setting. Spray, hanging and vent clip cross out three of the four formats. SOSA makes no vent product, so that rejection removes nothing from its range.

Which Safar variant avoids sweet scents? The hotel-inspired variant that holds Quiet Luxury, White Tea Serenity and Forest Suite. Their published notes are white tea, cedar, aloe and vetiver, with no sweet note among them.

What setting should two hours a day start on? The lowest of Safar's three speeds, with the two-hour timer if the two hours are one journey, or the one-hour timer started twice if they are two. Move up one step only if needed.
The short answer
Short answer: Three rejected formats leave one category. Safar is the only SOSA car product with a published dial, and you asked for adjustable intensity.
The pick: SOSA Safar at ₹4,499 in a hotel-inspired variant, Forest Suite first, lowest speed, the two-hour timer, in the cup-holder.
Next step: Check each of the six steps against your own numbers. If a rule is really a preference, the decider shows the cheaper answer. Check my working by email.
Six steps, worked in orderStep one: two hours a day is enough for a dialStep two: outdoor parking, so pay for the driveStep four: no sweet scents, so no Tobacco VanillaStep five: spray, hanging and vent crossed out leave oneSafar from Rs 3,999 - hotel-inspired from Rs 4,499
Every step takes one of your facts and does one job with it: hours, parking, passengers, scent, the three rejected formats and then the setting. Change a fact and the working shows which step moves.

Straight answer
Two Hours a Day, Outdoor Parking, Family Passengers, No Sweet Scents, No Spray, No Hanging Bottle, No Vent Clip, Adjustable Intensity Wanted — Worked Through End to End
Buy SOSA Safar in a hotel-inspired variant that holds Forest Suite, start on its lowest speed with the two-hour timer, keep it in the cup-holder and give it a week. The working follows in order, so you can check each step against your own numbers.

1. Step one, the hours: two hours a day is enough to want a dial. You sit in this cabin long enough that one fixed strength becomes a compromise you accept every day, and you have said you want the intensity adjustable. Hours and a stated wish agree, which is why this step is not close.

2. Step two, the parking: outdoors means pay for the drive. A car left in the open is empty for most of the day, so a format that releases whether or not anyone is there is paying for fragrance nobody smells. Safar stops when its timer ends. This step already argues against hanging, before you rejected it.

3. Steps three and four, the people and the scent: restraint, with nothing sweet. Family passengers and a dislike of sweet point to woody, green and clean. The hotel-inspired variant that holds Forest Suite, Quiet Luxury and White Tea Serenity is white tea, cedar, aloe and vetiver, with no sweet note. The product page names the three each variant holds. I cannot say how your family will take them.

4. Step five, the rejections: three formats crossed out leave one. No spray, no hanging bottle, no vent clip. SOSA makes no vent product, so the third rejection removes nothing from its range; spray and hanging are the two it does remove. What remains is a machine with a dial, and Safar is the only one SOSA makes.

5. Step six, the setting: low, then one step if you cannot find it. Lowest speed, the two-hour timer if the two hours are one journey, or the one-hour timer started twice if they are two. If one of the three rules is really a preference, the decider shows the cheaper answer, and it is a spray.

First week: lowest speed, parked, the timer matched to your journeys; move up one step only if you cannot find the scent; judge it on day seven. To see the same method run for a reader with other facts, the full intake and routing page asks for them.
Six steps, one result: Safar in a hotel-inspired variant, Forest Suite first, lowest speed, two-hour timer, cup-holder, one week. Spray and hanging cross out; SOSA has no vent product to cross out.
What the six steps add up to
The product SOSA Safar in a hotel-inspired variant, at ₹4,499, run on Forest Suite first (cedarwood, vetiver, green leaves). The product page names the three each variant holds
The setting to start on The lowest of its three speeds. Move up one step only if you still cannot find the scent. The verdict is low-to-middle
The timer The two-hour timer if your two hours are one journey, or the one-hour timer started twice if they are two
Where it goes The cup-holder, 6.9 cm. Not the vent and not the mirror
Keeping it going Type-C recharge, up to ten hours continuous or thirty intermittent per charge, and a 100 g refill when the small bottle needs topping up: ₹1,049 for 100 g, ₹1,849 for 300 g for the naturals, with the hotel-inspired scents priced on the same page
I would not have chosen a machine for you from two hours alone. It is the three rejections that finish the argument: once spray and hanging are out, a dial is all that is left. If one of those rules is a preference, tell me, because then a spray is the honest answer.
Shop the setup in this guide
SOSA Safar at ₹4,499 in the hotel-inspired variant is what the working lands on: three speed settings, a one, two or three-hour auto-off timer, cordless on a 2000 mAh Type-C battery, up to ten hours continuous or thirty intermittent per charge. 6.9 cm, so it sits in the cup-holder. No water, no heat, no residue. Aroma only; it does not humidify.

The one category left, and the exit if a rule bends

Two products come out of the working, and they answer different readers. The first is the answer to the facts as you gave them. The second is the answer if one of your three rejections turns out to have been a preference rather than a rule. Neither is sized to a cabin, because SOSA publishes no cabin figure for Safar.

For a rule set that leaves only a dial
SOSA Safar
₹3,999 for SOSA naturals trio, ₹4,499 for hotel-inspired trio. Three speed settings from light to intense and a one, two or three-hour auto-off timer. Cordless, 2000 mAh Type-C, up to ten hours continuous or thirty intermittent per charge. Cold diffusion of pure undiluted oil: no water, no heat, no residue. About 6.9 cm, for the cup-holder. Aroma only; it does not humidify.
From ₹3,999
For the reader whose no-spray rule is a preference
SOSA Vetiver Car Perfume
₹509 for hanging 12 ml, ₹509 for car perfume spray, ₹1,499 for 50 ml car perfume spray. One product, three variants: a 12 ml Hanging (Mild scent-throw), a Spray (Strong scent-throw) and a 50 ml car perfume spray. You have ruled out both of the first two, so this is here only as the exit. Spray and hanging are the same price: a choice of format, not a step up.
From ₹509
What Safar runs on, and what to know before buying it
SOSA Waterless Nebuliser Refills
₹1,049 for 100 g, ₹1,849 for 300 g. Pure, undiluted, water-free oil for cold-air nebulisers, in sixteen scents: seven hotel-inspired and nine SOSA naturals. Sold in 100 g and 300 g, compatible with Safar and Vaayu. Safar's box already holds a 20 ml bottle, so nothing here needs buying on day one; the small bottle is topped up from a 100 g refill.

Six steps, read as three cards

Steps one and two go on the first card, three and four on the second, five and six on the third. None of it needs a measurement, and SOSA publishes no cabin figure for Safar, so none is given.

1
One
Steps one and two: the hours and the car park
Two hours a day is the first input and it sets the category. Occupied time decides the format, not the value of the car, and two hours is long enough that a dial earns its keep. The second input is outdoor parking, which asks a different question: are you paying for fragrance released into an empty car? A hanging unit releases while parked whether you are there or not. Safar releases while it runs and stops when its timer ends, so you pay for the drive. The page on buying for the drive rather than the car park takes that step on its own.
Tip: Write the two hours as one journey or two. It decides which timer you use in step six.
SOSA Safar at ₹3,999 or ₹4,499: three speeds, a one, two or three-hour timer. The first two steps point here.

2
Two
Steps three and four: the passengers and the scent
Your passengers are family, and you dislike sweet. I cannot say how your family will take a scent, so I choose restraint, and restraint plus no sweet gives woody, green and clean. Among the sixteen waterless compositions, three of the hotel-inspired ones fit: Forest Suite is cedarwood, vetiver and green leaves; Quiet Luxury is white tea, bergamot and cedar; White Tea Serenity is white tea, aloe and cedar. None has a sweet note. The trio with Tobacco Vanilla in it is the one to leave.
Tip: Begin with Forest Suite, the most clearly woody of the three, and judge it on the seventh day.
SOSA Waterless Nebuliser Refills: ₹1,049 for 100 g, ₹1,849 for 300 g for the naturals, with the hotel-inspired scents priced on the same page. The box already holds a 20 ml bottle.
See SOSA Waterless Nebuliser Refills →

Three
Steps five and six: three rejections and what is left
Four formats exist in this question: spray, hanging, vent clip and machine. You have crossed out three. SOSA makes no vent product, so crossing it out removes nothing; the other two remove the entire spray and hanging range. That leaves the machine, which is also the one SOSA car product with a published dial, and a dial is the thing you asked for. The setting then follows: the lowest speed, the timer matched to your journeys, a step up only if you cannot find the scent.
Tip: If the rejection of spray is a preference, not a rule, say so now; it changes step five and nothing else.
SOSA Vetiver Car Perfume at ₹509 is the answer only if your no-spray rule is a preference. You have ruled it out, so it is here as the exit.

The SOSA principle
A method earns trust by being checkable. Every step on this page can be wrong, and that is the point: change one input and the working shows you which step moves and why.
A recommendation you cannot trace must be taken on faith. The fix is a visible one, and the six steps are written to be argued with.

Which scent, and why that one

The honest direction for you is clean and woody with nothing sweet in it: Forest Suite first, Quiet Luxury or White Tea Serenity after. The table sets each of the six steps beside the fact it used and what it settled.

The working, step by step
Each step, the fact it used, and what it settled
The step, and the fact it used What it settled
Step one: two hours a day in the cabin
Enough occupied time to justify controllable output, and it agrees with your stated wish for adjustable intensity. A dial is in play. View →
Step two: the car sits outdoors through the day
Pay for the drive, not the car park. A format that stops by itself beats one that releases into an empty cabin. Hanging is already weakened.
Step three: family passengers, whose views are unknown
Restraint over character. Nothing distinctive; a level you can lower; no claim from me about how they will react.
Step four: no sweet scents
Woody, green and clean: Forest Suite, Quiet Luxury or White Tea Serenity, none with a sweet note. Leave the trio that carries Tobacco Vanilla. View →
Step five: no spray, no hanging bottle, no vent clip
Three of four formats crossed out. Vent removes nothing, because SOSA makes none. One category is left, and it is the machine.
Step six: the setting, from the hours and the journeys
Lowest speed, parked. Two-hour timer for one journey, or the one-hour timer started twice. Move one step up only if the scent cannot be found.

The same six steps give different answers with different facts. A reader who wants the intake asked from scratch, with every question put to them, should start at everything about the car, the hours, the parking and the passengers, then a verdict. The questions that separate the formats from each other are in which combination of questions separates a spray from a hanging perfume, a vent clip, passive fragrance or Safar, and the intake as a form you can fill in is the nine-question intake. The neighbouring worked case, with woody preferences and no repeated spraying, is two hours of cabin exposure, a subtle woody preference and no hanging bottle. For the page that says no, twenty minutes a day and a hanging perfume you like is it. To send us your own six facts, tell us the hours, the parking, the passengers and the scents you dislike.

Check the working: which of your three rules is really a rule?
Which formats have you truly ruled out?
  • Spray, hanging and vent: all three, firmly
  • Only hanging and vent: a spray would be fine
Do you want to change the level, or set it once?
  • Change it as the day demands
  • Set it once and leave it
All three out · change the level
The result of the working: SOSA Safar in a hotel-inspired variant at ₹4,499, Forest Suite first, lowest speed, the timer matched to your journeys. This is the answer this page lands on.
All three out · set it once
Still the machine, because nothing else is left, but your wish for a dial was weaker than you wrote. If you would give up one rule, the Vetiver spray at ₹509 is the cheaper honest answer.
Only hanging and vent out · change the level
A spray is allowed, so the choice reopens. The Vetiver spray at ₹509 gives you the scent, with the level set by the number of presses. Safar is what you buy only if you want the level held by a setting and a timer.
Only hanging and vent out · set it once
Buy the spray and nothing more. Vetiver or Sandalwood at ₹509 or ₹479, pressed once, parked. A machine would add a dial you have just told me you do not want.
The category left, or the exit if a rule bends
Three rejections leave one category, the machine with a dial. If one of them was a preference, the exit is a spray. These buttons are those two places.
See Safar, the machineSee the Vetiver spray
A method that ends in the only product left has not narrowed your choice; it has shown you that you made it three rejections ago.

The SOSA specification for the working

Three rows: the machine the working lands on, the oil it runs on, and the spray that is the exit. Each is the honest answer to a different part of the working, and none is sized to a cabin, because SOSA publishes no cabin figure for Safar.

Product Best for Why it works Price
SOSA Safar Two hours a day, a dial wanted, three formats out ₹3,999 for SOSA naturals trio. Three speeds and a one, two or three-hour timer. Cordless, 2000 mAh Type-C. The hotel-inspired variant, Forest Suite first. Start low, parked. No cabin figure is published, so none is given ₹3,999

SOSA Vetiver Car Perfume The reader whose no-spray rule is only a preference ₹509 for hanging 12 ml. Spray (Strong scent-throw): press lightly, parked. The same price as the hanging variant on every scent, so it is a format, not a tier ₹509

Start with the smell, not the shop. If something in the cabin smells before any fragrance is added, find the source first, let air through with the doors open, parked, and only then choose a fragrance; fragrance does not remove a smell. If the cabin is clear, Safar is ₹3,999 for SOSA naturals trio, ₹4,499 for hotel-inspired trio and what you are buying is a dial, not reach, because SOSA publishes no cabin figure for it and nobody should give you one. It is aroma only and does not humidify; it does not dehumidify, dry a cabin or do anything about damp either, and no SOSA product does. SOSA makes no vent product. A Vetiver spray is ₹509, and a spray and a hanging variant are the same price on every scent. SOSA is not affiliated with any vehicle manufacturer, and the hotel-inspired names describe a style, not an association. It makes no health, wellbeing or driving-related claim of any kind. Settings are changed parked. Ours is a contact page and a person who replies: Ask for a car fragrance recommendation.

A note from Sonal

I wrote this page differently because the question asked for it. You gave me six facts and no question, so I have put the thinking in the order I would do it at my own table, and where a step is weak, I have said so.

The weak step is the fifth. Three crossed-out formats leave one category, and that is true, but it is also the kind of conclusion that arrives because you ruled out everything else. If one of those rules is a preference, tell me. A Vetiver spray at ₹509 is a fine answer to a person who would rather press than charge, and I will say so happily.

Safar has no published figure for how far it reaches and I am not going to improvise one. What is published is the dial, the timer and the battery, and those are what the working uses. It is aroma only; it does not humidify. A portion of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the vent rejection not change anything?
Because SOSA makes no vent fragrance. Crossing out a format that does not exist in the range removes nothing from it. It matters only if you were hoping for a vent product from us; if so, the honest answer is that we do not make one.
Why a hotel-inspired variant and not the naturals?
Because you dislike sweet, and the hotel-inspired variant that holds Forest Suite, Quiet Luxury and White Tea Serenity is built on white tea, cedar, aloe and vetiver, with no sweet note among the published notes. The naturals trio that carries Vetiver also carries Tobacco Vanilla, which is the part to be careful of. It costs more, and a cheaper route is a spray, if that rule bends.
Is the two-hour timer right for two hours a day?
It depends on whether your two hours are one journey or two. One journey of two hours fits the two-hour timer, started parked. Two journeys of an hour fit the one-hour timer, started at the beginning of each. Changing the timer is a parked job, and I would not change the speed and the timer in the same week.
What if my family says it is too much?
Then you lower the speed one step, parked, and give it a day or two. That is what adjustable intensity is for, and why I did not guess at their taste. I cannot tell you how a particular person will take a scent, and I would distrust a page that could.
Can I change the speed while I am driving?
Please don't. Settings are changed parked, with the handbrake on. If it feels too much halfway, note it and change it at the next stop, one step at a time. Whatever you change, give it another day or two before you judge it; one drive is not enough to tell.

Facts verified 1 October 2026 against the live SOSA product pages: SOSA Safar is a cordless waterless car perfume diffuser from ₹3,999, rising to ₹4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios. It has three speed settings and a one, two or three-hour auto-off timer, runs up to ten hours continuous or thirty hours intermittent on its 2000 mAh Type-C battery, is 6.9 cm tall, and cold-diffuses pure undiluted oil with no water, no heat and no residue. In the box: the diffuser, a 20 ml bottle, a Type-C cable and a manual. SOSA publishes no coverage figure for Safar, so this page states none and sizes it to no cabin. Safar is aroma only and does not humidify; equally it does not dehumidify, dry a cabin or fix damp. Waterless nebuliser refills are ₹1,049 for 100 g, ₹1,849 for 300 g, in sixteen scents, shared with the SOSA Vaayu. The hanging fresheners and car perfume sprays run from ₹449 to ₹509, each one product with a mild-throw hanging variant, a stronger spray variant and a 50 ml spray; 15 ml hanging refills are ₹399 for 15 ml, Lemon or Jasmine, ₹429 for 15 ml, Sandalwood, Lavender or Icy Mint, ₹449 for 15 ml, Sea Breeze, Vetiver or Oud, Mysore Orange Blossom is ₹549 for 10 ml, ₹1,499 for 50 ml, and the discovery set of three is ₹699 for pack of 3 to ₹799.
