Founder Diaries · Attars, Fragrance Discovery & Buying for Known Taste
By Sonal Sahani · ISIPCA Versailles 11 min read Updated September 2026
This question contains an assumption worth checking before anything else, because everything downstream of it changes. The assumption is that an attar range holds at least one sweet bottle to keep as the safe corner of the gift. In this one, it does not. SOSA publishes four attars and no gourmand among them - nothing built as a dessert-sweet or edible composition, in any size or at any price. The word vanilla does appear, once, in the base of a floral. That is a genuinely different thing, and a page that blurred the two would be selling you a box on a description that is not true. So the honest shape of this answer is: here is where the sweetness in the range actually sits, here is what sits on top of it, and here is what that means for a gift built around somebody who already owns several vanilla-heavy bottles.
SOSA Mastani attar, night-blooming jasmine Damask rose and Mysore sandalwood, from Rs 389
SOSA Mastani · night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood, oudh · 3ml, 6ml or 12ml from ₹389 →
This is the bottle the word vanilla points at, and it is worth seeing what sits above it. Mastani's published note list is night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood, oudh, vanilla and tonka - a floral over wood, with vanilla and tonka in the base rather than at the top. It is ₹389 in 3ml, ₹685 in 6ml and ₹1,179 in 12ml, and one of the three attars in the fixed trio at ₹1,055 in 3 x 3ml. SOSA publishes no gourmand attar at all, so there is no dessert-sweet bottle anywhere in this range. Published wear is 6 to 8 hours per bottle, longer on warm or oily skin.
Quick answers — read this first
Is there a sweet or gourmand SOSA attar? No. SOSA publishes no gourmand attar in the range, so there is no dessert-sweet bottle to buy. The closest is Mastani, whose published note list ends in vanilla and tonka - but those sit beneath night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood and oudh, which makes it a floral with a warm base. Mastani is ₹389 in 3ml, ₹685 in 6ml and ₹1,179 in 12ml.

What contrast can an attar trio offer somebody who owns a lot of vanilla-heavy perfume? The published trio is Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani at ₹1,055 in 3 x 3ml. That gives a warm rose-and-saffron composition with amber and white musk, a dry white royal oud with Mysore sandalwood and aged tobacco leaf, and a night-blooming jasmine floral over sandalwood and oudh. Floral, musky, ambered and woody contrast are all there. A sweet bottle to sit alongside them is not, because the range does not publish one.

Does Mastani smell sweet? SOSA publishes its note list rather than a verdict: night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood, oudh, vanilla and tonka. Vanilla and tonka are base materials there, under a heavy white floral and wood. Warm is not the same as sweet, and SOSA does not publish Mastani as a sweet or gourmand composition. How any of that is heard on skin is not something SOSA publishes information about.
The short answer
Short answer: SOSA publishes no gourmand attar. Mastani carries vanilla and tonka in the base of a floral built on night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood and oudh, at Rs 389 in 3ml, Rs 685 in 6ml and Rs 1,179 in 12ml. The fixed trio of Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani is Rs 1,055 in 3 x 3ml and offers floral, ambered and dry-woody contrast, but no sweet bottle, because the range does not contain one.
The pick: The 3 x 3ml trio at ₹1,055 if contrast is what you want - but on the clear understanding that none of the three is a sweet fragrance, because SOSA publishes no gourmand attar.
Why: The premise of the question is that one bottle in the box can be the sweet one. In this range no bottle can, so the choice is contrast without a sweet anchor, or a different category entirely.
You know what they wear. That is a starting point, not an answer.Three to smell - the published Attar Trio, ₹1,055 in 3 x 3mlOne to commit to - a single 12ml attar, ₹1,149 to ₹1,199The trio is always the same three, always one sizeNever - a promise about what they will like
Knowing somebody's signature fragrance is more information than most gift buyers have, and it still does not answer the question, because the next bottle is not the same bottle. What three small attars buy you is evidence rather than a guess - three things to put on skin over a week. What the published trio is not is a set you assemble: it is one fixed combination of Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, in whichever single size you choose. And no page can tell you what anybody will make of any of them.
Straight answer
My girlfriend loves sweet perfumes but already owns several vanilla-heavy fragrances - could an attar trio introduce floral, musky or woody contrast while keeping one comforting sweet option?
The contrast half of that is straightforward. The sweet half is not, and the honest answer is no. SOSA publishes no gourmand attar - there is no dessert-sweet composition among the four, so there is no sweet bottle in the box to keep as the familiar corner of the gift. The nearest thing is Mastani, whose published note list is night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood, oudh, vanilla and tonka. Vanilla and tonka are in the base there, under a heavy white floral and wood, which makes it a floral with a warm base and not a sweet fragrance. Those are different compositions and this page will not blur them, because a gift bought on the wrong description is worse than a gift bought on none. What the published set does offer is real contrast. The SOSA Attar Trio is a fixed combination of Ameeri - Taif rose and Persian saffron over Indian sandalwood, with a soft oudh, amber and white musk; Nawaab - white royal oud with Mysore sandalwood and aged tobacco leaf, published as the deepest of the four; and Mastani. That is floral, ambered warmth, white musk and dry wood, at ₹1,055 in 3 x 3ml, ₹1,859 in 3 x 6ml and ₹3,189 in 3 x 12ml, against ₹1,173, ₹2,063 and ₹3,543 bought one at a time. Nobody chooses the three, all three bottles come in the single size you select, and Adaa is the fourth attar, sold separately from ₹379. Published wear is 6 to 8 hours per bottle, longer on warm or oily skin, the drydown develops after the first 30 minutes, and a 3ml runs to roughly 60 wears at one dab. What none of this can tell you is how a person who has settled on sweet perfume responds to a range that contains none, and SOSA publishes no information of that kind. A portion of every SOSA order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
There is no gourmand attar here. Vanilla appears once, in a base, under jasmine and wood.
The quick version: SOSA publishes no gourmand attar, so there is no sweet bottle in the box to keep. Mastani at ₹389 in 3ml carries vanilla and tonka, but under night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood and oudh - a floral with a warm base. The fixed trio at ₹1,055 in 3 x 3ml adds warm rose and saffron with amber, and dry white royal oud. Adaa from ₹379 is the light one, bought separately.

The one fact that has to be settled before anything else

One fact decides this purchase and two more shape it. Whether the range contains a sweet bottle at all; where the vanilla that does exist actually sits; and what contrast is worth when the familiar anchor is missing.

01
The fact that decides it
No gourmand attar exists in this range, in any size
SOSA publishes four attars, and not one of them is a gourmand or a dessert-sweet composition. This is not a gap at one price point or in one size - the type is absent from the whole range, and no combination of bottles produces it.

That matters because the question assumes a sweet bottle is available to hold on to while the other two do the exploring. Here, nothing does. If a sweet fragrance is the thing that must be preserved in the gift, an attar from this range is not where it comes from, and no page should pretend otherwise. What the range can do is contrast - and if contrast on its own is enough, the rest of this page is useful.
Tip: The type is absent from the range, not merely from the box.
02
Where the vanilla is
Mastani carries vanilla and tonka, and they sit at the bottom
Mastani's published note list runs: night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood, oudh, vanilla, tonka. Read the order. The flowers lead, the wood and the resin hold the middle, and vanilla and tonka are base materials sitting underneath all of it. It is ₹389 in 3ml, ₹685 in 6ml and ₹1,179 in 12ml.

Tonka as a material is a bean with a warm, hay-like character, and vanilla in a base is a warming agent rather than a sugar note. Warm and sweet are not the same thing, and the difference is structural rather than a matter of intensity: a gourmand is built on the sweetness, while this is built on jasmine and rose with sweetness underneath. Ameeri does the same job with amber in that position rather than vanilla.
03
What contrast is worth
Three unfamiliar directions, with nothing familiar alongside them
The published trio is Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, in whichever single size you select - ₹1,055 for three 3ml, ₹1,859 for three 6ml and ₹3,189 for three 12ml, against ₹1,173, ₹2,063 and ₹3,543 bought one at a time. Between them they cover a warm rose and saffron with amber and white musk, a dry white royal oud with aged tobacco leaf, and a night-blooming jasmine floral over wood.

For somebody whose shelf is several vanilla-heavy bottles, that is three directions she has not been buying. It is also three at once, with no familiar bottle in the box to fall back on - which is either the point of the gift or an argument for buying one bottle rather than three. The published figure that makes either version workable is roughly 60 wears in a 3ml at one dab, which is enough wearing to reach a real view rather than a first impression.
Tip: Three unfamiliar things at once is a bolder gift than one. Both are defensible; they are not the same gift.
SOSA Adaa attar, bergamot cardamom and jasmine sambac
The bottle the trio does not contain
Adaa, and why it matters to half these questions
SOSA publishes four attars. Three of them are in the trio and one is not. Adaa - bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac and white musk - is published as the lightest of the four and a daytime attar, and it is sold on its own at ₹379 in 3ml, ₹669 in 6ml and ₹1,149 in 12ml. That matters because the trio page itself lists a reason not to buy the trio: it is an evening set of depth, warmth and floral, and somebody who wears bright, light, citrus-led fragrance is not the buyer for it. If what you know about their taste is that it is fresh, the honest route is Adaa rather than the box - and if you want Adaa alongside two others, that is three individual bottles at full price, because the trio cannot be recomposed.
See Adaa from ₹379 →
Work it out in this order
Check the premise before you check the price
  1. Ask what the gift must keep. If the answer is sweetness, stop here.
  2. Read Mastani's note order: jasmine and rose first, vanilla and tonka last.
  3. Decide whether contrast alone is the gift, with no familiar bottle in it.
  4. Then price it: Mastani from Rs 389, or the fixed trio from Rs 1,055.
The SOSA principle
The useful move here is not finding the sweetest bottle in the range. It is telling the difference between a sweet composition and a warm base, and buying against the right one.
Vanilla in a base is a material doing a structural job. It is not the same purchase as a fragrance built on sweetness.

Where vanilla actually sits, and what sits above it

Placed in order, the four make the position clear. Mastani is night-blooming jasmine and Damask rose over Mysore sandalwood and oudh, with vanilla and tonka in the base - the only published note list of the four that contains vanilla, and it is at the bottom of it. Ameeri is Taif rose and Persian saffron over Indian sandalwood with a soft oudh, and amber and white musk beneath - the same shape with amber doing the warming. Nawaab is white royal oud with Mysore sandalwood and aged tobacco leaf, with agarwood, leather, vetiver and amber also published, and SOSA publishes it as the deepest of the four - the dry end, and the furthest from sweetness of anything here. Adaa, the fourth attar and the lightest, is bergamot and green cardamom with neroli, jasmine sambac and magnolia over white musk, vetiver and cedarwood, sold on its own from ₹379 and never part of the box.

The SOSA gift edit
Four purchases against a sweet-perfume brief, and where each one breaks
The option Who it suits, and where it fails
Mastani alone, 3ml at ₹389 The single bottle in the range whose published note list contains vanilla, bought on its own - a floral over wood with vanilla and tonka underneath, at roughly 60 wears. Where it breaks: it is a floral, not a sweet fragrance, and buying it as the sweet option means buying it on a description SOSA does not publish.
The trio, 3 x 3ml at ₹1,055 Floral, ambered warmth, white musk and dry wood in three bottles, in one gift-ready box, and cheaper than the three bought one at a time. Where it breaks: there is no sweet bottle among the three to act as the familiar corner, because the range publishes none.
Adaa, 3ml at ₹379 The opposite end of the range - bergamot, green cardamom and neroli over white musk, published as the lightest of the four and the daytime attar. Where it breaks: it is the furthest thing here from a sweet brief, and it is the fourth attar, so it is bought separately and never inside the box.
A 15g solid body perfume from ₹459 The other worn format SOSA publishes, at a price close to a single attar, for when an oil attar is not obviously the right object at all. Where it breaks: SOSA publishes no wear figure for these, so you give up the one performance number the attars do carry.
SOSA Attar Trio, three bottles in one gift-ready box
What the three sizes actually buy you
3ml, 6ml or 12ml - and roughly sixty wears in the smallest
All three trio tiers contain the same three attars; the only variable is how much of each. ₹1,055 buys 3 x 3ml, and the published figure for a 3ml is roughly 60 wears at one dab - which is the number that makes a discovery gift a real one rather than a set of samples, because it is enough to wear a scent on an ordinary Tuesday and not just sniff it in a shop. ₹1,859 buys 3 x 6ml and ₹3,189 buys 3 x 12ml, the largest published size of each. Against the same bottles bought singly those are savings of ₹118, ₹204 and ₹354. The trio ships with all three bottles in the same size - there is no mixed-size set, and SOSA states that mixing sizes means buying the three individually and losing the trio price.
See the SOSA Attar Trio from ₹1,055 →

The format is the same across the four and is part of what you are handing over. Alcohol-free and DPG-free, carried on Indian sandalwood oil and jojoba, IFRA-compliant and skin-safe, hand-blended in small batches in Pune by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles trained. Each bottle has a built-in dab applicator, and the published instruction is to dab on pulse points and not to rub - which matters on a composition like Mastani, where the vanilla and tonka are in the base and the drydown develops after the first 30 minutes. Attar oils can stain light silks, so they go on skin rather than on a dupatta or a sleeve. Heat-stable to 45 degrees C. The trio's three bottles come in a single gift-ready box, the only presentation SOSA publishes, and custom label or logo on product is the one branding option.

The fact that changes most of these questions
The trio is one published combination. You do not choose the three.
Almost every version of this question arrives phrased as a curation problem - which three directions should I pick for her? - and the honest answer is that the published SOSA Attar Trio is a fixed set: Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, in whichever single size you choose. Adaa, the lightest of the four, is not in it - SOSA publishes it as the daytime attar and sells it on its own. And the trio ships with all three bottles in the same size; SOSA's own page states that a different three, or three different sizes, means buying individually and losing the trio price. So the real decision is not which three. It is whether these three are the right three for what you already know about their taste - and where they are not, the page should say so rather than sell you the box. The prices are ₹1,055 in 3 x 3ml, ₹1,859 in 3 x 6ml and ₹3,189 in 3 x 12ml, against ₹1,173, ₹2,063 and ₹3,543 for the same bottles bought singly. What any of them does on a particular person, and what that person makes of being given them, is not something SOSA publishes and not something this page will invent.

One message, one honest recommendation
Tell SOSA what they already wear, anything they have said they dislike, whether this is a first attar or an addition, and what you want to spend - and you will be told which size and which bottles, including the times the honest answer is Adaa on its own from ₹379 rather than the trio.

Vanilla in a base is not a sweet perfume with the volume turned down. It is a different structure, and the gift stands or falls on knowing that.

The SOSA gifting range

Two questions settle almost every attar gift where you already know what they wear, and the first one is not price. Are you buying breadth or depth? Breadth means three bottles to put on skin over a week, which is what the published trio is for; depth means one 12ml in a direction you are already confident about. Then: does what you know about their taste sit inside what the trio actually contains? The trio is Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani - warm rose and saffron, white royal oud, and night-jasmine with Damask rose. It has no light, fresh or citrus-led bottle in it, because Adaa is the lightest of the four and is sold separately from ₹379. Price follows those two answers rather than leading them.

SOSA Attar Trio - 3 x 3ml Three to smell, not one to guess ₹1,055 for Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani in 3ml each, against ₹1,173 bought singly. The published figure for a 3ml is roughly 60 wears at one dab - enough to actually live with a scent rather than sniff it ₹1,055
SOSA Attar Trio - 3 x 6ml The middle size ₹1,859 against ₹2,063 bought singly. The same three attars; the trio ships with all three bottles in the same size ₹1,859
SOSA Attar Trio - 3 x 12ml Three full bottles ₹3,189 against ₹3,543 bought singly. The largest published size of each, in one gift-ready box ₹3,189
Adaa - 3ml, 6ml, 12ml The lightest in the range ₹379, ₹669 and ₹1,149. Bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac and white musk. Adaa is not in the trio - SOSA publishes it as the daytime attar and sells it separately from ₹379
Ameeri - 3ml, 6ml, 12ml Warm, rose and saffron led ₹385, ₹679 and ₹1,165. Taif rose, Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron, a measured oudh and amber from ₹385
Mastani - 3ml, 6ml, 12ml Floral depth ₹389, ₹685 and ₹1,179. Night-blooming jasmine and Damask rose over sandalwood, oudh, vanilla and tonka from ₹389
Nawaab - 3ml, 6ml, 12ml The deepest in the range ₹399, ₹699 and ₹1,199. White royal oud led, with Mysore sandalwood and aged tobacco leaf. SOSA publishes this as the deepest of the four from ₹399
SOSA solid body perfumes - 15g Worn, and smaller still ₹459 to ₹549. The other worn format in the range. No wear-time figure is published for these, so this page does not give one from ₹459
SOSA reed diffusers A room, not a person From ₹749 in 50ml. Listed here only to rule it out: a reed diffuser scents a room and an attar is worn. They are not substitutes, and a fragrance-taste question is not answered by a bottle that sits on a shelf from ₹749

The single most useful fact on this page: the published Attar Trio is one fixed combination. It is Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, every time, and all three bottles ship in the size you select. Adaa cannot be substituted into it, and there is no mixed-size trio - SOSA's own page says that if you want a different three, or three different sizes, you buy the bottles individually and the trio discount does not apply. Published across all five pages: 6 to 8 hours of wear per bottle, longer on warm or oily skin, a built-in dab applicator (dab on pulse points, do not rub), a carrier of Indian sandalwood oil and jojoba, and alcohol-free, DPG-free, IFRA-compliant formulations hand-blended in small batches in Pune. A 3ml is published at roughly 60 wears at one dab. Attar oils can stain light silks, so they go on skin rather than on fabric. Prices above are the published selling prices; bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available, with quantities settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531. SOSA is an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, sending orders across India. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

The honest spec sheet
What the SOSA attar pages publish, and what they do not
Everything below is on the live product pages. Anything not on this list is not something a page like this should state.
  • The four attars and their prices - Adaa, bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac and white musk, ₹379 / ₹669 / ₹1,149; Ameeri, Taif rose, Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron, soft oudh and amber, ₹385 / ₹679 / ₹1,165; Mastani, night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood, oudh, vanilla and tonka, ₹389 / ₹685 / ₹1,179; Nawaab, white royal oud, Mysore sandalwood and aged tobacco leaf, ₹399 / ₹699 / ₹1,199. In 3ml, 6ml and 12ml. Those four are the entire attar range.
  • The trio - Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani at ₹1,055, ₹1,859 and ₹3,189 for 3 x 3ml, 3 x 6ml and 3 x 12ml, against ₹1,173, ₹2,063 and ₹3,543 bought singly. It is one fixed combination, all three bottles in the same size, and Adaa is not in it. A different three, or mixed sizes, means buying individually at full price.
  • Wear - 6 to 8 hours on skin per bottle, longer on warm or oily skin, with the drydown developing after the first 30 minutes. A 3ml is published at roughly 60 wears at one dab. That is the only quantity figure SOSA gives for an attar.
  • The format - a concentrated oil attar with a built-in dab applicator; dab on pulse points and do not rub. Carrier of Indian sandalwood oil and jojoba. Alcohol-free, DPG-free, IFRA-compliant, skin-safe, heat-stable to 45 degrees C, hand-blended in small batches in Pune by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles trained. Attar oils can stain light silks, so they go on skin rather than fabric.
  • Relative depth, in SOSA's own words - Adaa is published as the lightest of the four and Nawaab as the deepest, with Ameeri and Mastani between them. That ordering is published; no number from any product page is quoted here, and no claim is made about how any of them behaves on a particular person.
  • Not published, and therefore never stated here: any sillage, projection or room-distance figure; any shelf life, expiry, concentration or oil percentage; any seasonal or skin-chemistry claim beyond "longer on warm or oily skin"; any bulk rate, minimum quantity, price break or lead time; any presentation beyond the trio's single gift-ready box and a custom label or logo on product; and anything whatsoever about what a recipient will like or how a gift will be received. Those go to WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.

A note from Sonal

The message we get most often on WhatsApp is not what should I buy. It is a more specific and more interesting problem: I know exactly what she wears. I have known for years. I just cannot buy it again. That person is not short of information. They are short of a next step, which is a different thing entirely, and almost nothing written about fragrance gifting treats it as different.

Here is the part I would want them to hold on to. Knowing somebody's signature tells you where they started, not where they would go. A person who has worn one bottle for a decade has usually not rejected the alternatives - they have never had three of them on their own skin at the same time. So the useful gift is not a better guess at one bottle. It is evidence: several things to wear, on separate days, and the chance to notice which one they reach for without being asked to be polite about it.

The part I will be blunt about, because our own product page is blunt about it: the trio is one fixed set. Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani, all three in whichever size you choose. It is not assembled around a person's taste, Adaa is not in it, and if somebody wears bright citrus and nothing else, that box is the wrong box - Adaa on its own is the honest answer, and it costs a great deal less. I would rather lose the larger sale than have three bottles sit unopened on somebody's dressing table.

And the thing nobody selling fragrance should pretend to know: I cannot tell you what they will like. I can tell you what is in each bottle, that one dab carries six to eight hours, that a 3ml is roughly sixty wears, and that all four are alcohol-free and blended here in Pune. What happens when a particular person puts a particular attar on a particular wrist is genuinely theirs to find out - and giving them three ways to find it out is, I think, the whole point.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a gourmand or dessert-sweet attar in the SOSA range?
No. SOSA publishes four attars and none of them is a gourmand. The closest is Mastani, whose published note list ends in vanilla and tonka, but those are base materials under night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood and oudh, which makes it a floral with a warm base. No SOSA attar is published as a sweet composition in any size.
Which SOSA attar contains vanilla?
Mastani, and only Mastani. Its published note list is night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood, oudh, vanilla and tonka. It is Rs 389 in 3ml, Rs 685 in 6ml and Rs 1,179 in 12ml, and it is one of the three attars in the fixed trio. Ameeri carries amber in the same structural position rather than vanilla.
Can the trio include one sweet attar alongside two contrasting ones?
No, on two counts. The trio is one fixed combination of Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani and cannot be recomposed, and there is no sweet attar in the range to put into it in any case. Adaa, the fourth attar, is the lightest of the four and is sold on its own from Rs 379. A different three means buying the bottles individually at full price.
What contrast does the trio actually offer?
Three published directions: Ameeri is Taif rose and Persian saffron over Indian sandalwood with a soft oudh, amber and white musk; Nawaab is white royal oud with Mysore sandalwood and aged tobacco leaf, published as the deepest of the four; Mastani is night-blooming jasmine and Damask rose over sandalwood and oudh. Floral, ambered, musky and dry-woody, at Rs 1,055 in 3 x 3ml.
Is a 3ml enough to judge an unfamiliar direction properly?
SOSA publishes a 3ml at roughly 60 wears at one dab, which is enough to wear a scent repeatedly rather than test it once - and repetition is what an unfamiliar direction needs. The published wear is 6 to 8 hours per bottle, longer on warm or oily skin, with the drydown developing after the first 30 minutes. No wear figure is published for a 6ml or a 12ml.

Take the next step
Settle what the range actually contains, then decide whether it is the right range
The 3 x 3ml trio at ₹1,055 when floral, warm-amber and dry-woody contrast is genuinely what you want to put in front of her, with roughly 60 wears in each bottle. Mastani alone from ₹389 when the floral-with-a-warm-base direction is the one to test first. Adaa from ₹379 when a bright, light bottle is the real gap - it is the fourth attar and is sold on its own. And a different category altogether when a sweet, dessert-style fragrance is what must be preserved, because SOSA publishes no gourmand attar in any of the four. Message SOSA on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 and say plainly that she wears sweet, vanilla-led perfume, and you will get a straight answer rather than a sale - including the answer that no attar in this range is a sweet one and a single bottle from ₹389 may be the sensible test. A portion of every SOSA order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

About this guide: Written by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles-trained founder and perfumer at SOSA Home & Body. Product recommendations reflect the SOSA range; the reasoning about how to buy fragrance for somebody whose taste you partly know applies to any brand.

Specifications verified from the live SOSA product pages, September 2026: SOSA publishes four attars and one pack of three, and that is the entire attar range. Adaa - bergamot, green cardamom, neroli, jasmine sambac, magnolia, white musk, vetiver and cedarwood - is ₹379 in 3ml, ₹669 in 6ml and ₹1,149 in 12ml. Ameeri - Taif rose, Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron, soft oudh, amber and white musk - is ₹385, ₹679 and ₹1,165. Mastani - night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, Mysore sandalwood, oudh, vanilla and tonka - is ₹389, ₹685 and ₹1,179. Nawaab - white royal oud, Mysore sandalwood and aged tobacco leaf - is ₹399, ₹699 and ₹1,199. The SOSA Attar Trio is one fixed combination - Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani - at ₹1,055 for 3 x 3ml, ₹1,859 for 3 x 6ml and ₹3,189 for 3 x 12ml, against ₹1,173, ₹2,063 and ₹3,543 for the same bottles bought singly. All three bottles in a trio ship in the same size and in a single gift-ready box. Adaa is not in the trio; SOSA publishes it as the daytime attar, sold separately, and the trio page states that a different combination or mixed sizes means buying individually without the trio price. Published across all five pages: 6 to 8 hours of wear per bottle, longer on warm or oily skin; a drydown that develops after the first 30 minutes; roughly 60 wears in a 3ml at one dab; a built-in dab applicator, dabbed on pulse points rather than rubbed; a carrier of Indian sandalwood oil and jojoba; alcohol-free, DPG-free, IFRA-compliant and skin-safe; heat-stable to 45 degrees C; hand-blended in small batches in Pune; country of origin India. Attar oils can stain light silks and are applied to skin rather than fabric. For comparison: SOSA solid body perfumes are ₹459 to ₹549 in 15g and are also worn, though no wear-time figure is published for them; SOSA reed diffusers from ₹749 scent a room rather than a person and are not an alternative to an attar. What is not published, and is therefore not stated here: any sillage, projection or room-distance figure; any shelf life, expiry, concentration or oil percentage; any seasonal or skin-chemistry claim beyond "longer on warm or oily skin"; any bulk rate, minimum quantity, price break or lead time; and any presentation beyond the trio's single gift-ready box and a custom label or logo on product. Limits of this guide: no claim is made anywhere on this page about mood, stress, calm, sleep, headaches, sensitivity or wellbeing, in either direction. No claim is made about what any recipient will like. Nothing here states or implies that a named person will enjoy, prefer, adopt or be impressed by any fragrance, that a scent will suit them or become their signature, or that a gift will be well received; SOSA publishes no information of that kind and none is invented here. No third-party perfume, perfume house or brand is named, and no resemblance, alternative or dupe claim is made about any SOSA product. No rating, review count, strength score or customer name from any product page is cited, and no competitor or category of competing product is characterised. No statement is made about what any community, religion or family wears or gives, and no etiquette rule is presented as fact. No fragrance is assigned to a gender; SOSA publishes all four attars as wearable by anyone. Bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available; that is the only branding option, and quantities are settled on WhatsApp. SOSA Home & Body is an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, Maharashtra, sending orders across India, with no shop, showroom, stockist, counter or warehouse in any other city. Prices and availability are subject to change - see the live product pages.
