The pen and the leather organiser survive as client gifts for one reason: they are safe because they are inert. Nobody has to charge them, learn them or decide anything about them, and if they end up in a drawer that costs the recipient nothing. A diffuser is not inert. It is a device with a battery, a cable and a small habit attached, and that is a more demanding thing to put on somebody's desk than a pen is. SOSA Safar at ₹3,999 is useful in a way a pen is not - about 6.9 cm, published for a car, a handbag, a desk or a hotel room - but the demand it makes is real and you should price it into the decision rather than around it.
SOSA Safar waterless cordless perfume diffuser for client gifting, Rs 3,999
SOSA Safar · waterless, cordless, Type-C ₹3,999 →
A device rather than an ornament, which is the whole of the decision. SOSA Safar, ₹3,999 - a 20ml bottle of pure oil, no water, about 6.9 cm, a 2000 mAh Type-C battery, three speeds and a 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off timer.
Quick answers — read this first
Is a diffuser an appropriate corporate gift for a client? It can be, with one honest caveat. It is a device rather than an object: it has a 2000 mAh battery charged over Type-C and it needs somebody to put oil in it and switch it on. That is a small ask, but it is an ask, and a client did not request it. SOSA Safar is ₹3,999, about 6.9 cm, with 3 speeds and a 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off timer.

Does SOSA do bulk orders for client gifting? Bulk orders are welcome and SOSA publishes no numbers against them: no bulk rate, no minimum order, no slab and no lead time. Branding is exactly one thing - a custom label or logo on the product itself. Everything is settled directly on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531, which is the only enquiry route.

What should a client gift avoid claiming? Anything about what it does for the working relationship. Nothing on this page suggests a gift wins work, is remembered or changes how a client sees a firm - none of that is knowable and SOSA publishes none of it. The defensible claim is narrower: it is a useful object for somebody who is in a different room every month.
The short answer
Short answer: It can be appropriate, but it is a device rather than an ornament, so it carries a small obligation a pen does not. SOSA Safar is Rs 3,999, about 6.9 cm, waterless and cordless, with three speeds and a 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off timer. Bulk orders are welcome with no published numbers, and branding is a custom label or logo on the product only.
The pick: A SOSA Safar at ₹3,999, or ₹4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios - useful monthly rather than admired once.
Why: Because a client who is abroad every month spends real time in rooms that are not theirs, and this is one of very few desk-sized gifts that attaches to that rather than to a desk they are rarely at.
Sending something when somebody is having a hard time - at a glanceKeep it small - candle ₹399, attar ₹379, car scent ₹449For their home - reed diffuser ₹749, nothing to switch onSay the words yourself - no card goes in the parcelNever - a parcel instead of turning up
A gift cannot change how somebody's week went, and a page that suggests otherwise is not worth reading. What a small parcel does is tell a person you were thinking about them on a day when nothing made you - which is a real thing to say, and worth saying. Keep it small, because a large one asks somebody already short of energy to produce a reaction, and send the words separately, because the object cannot carry them.
Straight answer
Is a SOSA Safar travel diffuser suitable as a gift for an international client?
It is suitable, with one caveat worth stating before the specification. A diffuser is a device, not an ornament. It has a battery to charge, oil to add and a switch to press, so you are sending a client a small obligation as well as a gift - and they did not ask for it. A pen makes no demand at all, which is exactly why the pen refuses to die. Decide whether your client is the sort of person who will find a useful device welcome or slightly imposing, because that is the real question and no product page can answer it for you. If the answer is welcome, the case is good. SOSA Safar is ₹3,999, or ₹4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios: approximately 6.9 cm, a 20ml bottle of pure fragrance oil with no water, a 2000 mAh battery over Type-C giving up to 10 hours continuous or up to 30 hours intermittent per charge, three speeds and a 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off timer. On the commercial side: bulk orders are welcome and SOSA publishes no bulk rate, no minimum order, no slab and no lead time, and branding is a custom label or logo on the product and nothing else. Nothing here claims a gift wins work or changes a relationship. And rules about batteries and liquids belong to the airline rather than to SOSA. Everything is settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531. A portion of every SOSA order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
A pen asks nothing of the person who receives it. A device asks a little. That is the whole question, and it is about your client rather than about the product.
The object under discussion: Safar at ₹3,999 - about 6.9 cm, waterless, a Type-C battery, three speeds and a timer that switches it off on its own.
See SOSA Safar ₹3,999

The three questions that decide whether this is appropriate to send a client

Three questions, and the first one is the only one that is genuinely about your client rather than about the product.

1
The first question
Is your client someone who wants a device, or someone who wants an object?
This is the question the category avoids, so let us not. A gift that needs charging is a gift with a small string attached. Somebody has to find the cable, put oil in the bottle, work out which of the three speeds they want and remember it exists. None of that is difficult. All of it is more than a notebook asks.

Some clients like that. People who are genuinely interested in their own gear treat a new device as a small pleasure and have it running the same evening. Other people have a drawer of unopened electronics and feel faintly guilty about it, and for them a useful device is a mild reproach rather than a gift.

You already know which one you are dealing with, and you know it better than any page does. If you are uncertain, the safer read is usually the second one - a client relationship is not the place to find out.

Worth noting what does soften the ask. Type-C means the cable they already carry will do, and the 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off timer means nothing has to be remembered on the way out of a room. The specification genuinely reduces the obligation. It does not remove it.
Tip: You are sending a small obligation as well as a gift. That is fine - just decide it deliberately.
2
The second question
What SOSA will and will not put in writing on the commercial side
Short section, because the honest version is short. Bulk orders are welcome, and SOSA publishes no numbers against them: no bulk rate, no minimum order, no slab and no lead time. If a page hands you a figure for any of those, it made the figure up. Everything of that kind is settled directly with SOSA on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531, which is the only enquiry route there is.

Branding is exactly one thing: a custom label or logo on the product. That is the whole service. There is no printed sleeve, no insert card, no gift wrap and no assembled gift box behind it, so if your brief requires a presentation set you are building that yourself.

Bespoke composition - a fragrance made for you rather than chosen from the range - is a real service SOSA offers. No price, no minimum and no process detail are published for it, so it is a conversation rather than a product page.

One thing this page will not do is tell you what the gift achieves. Nothing here says a client remembers you, awards you work, or thinks better of your firm because of a diffuser. Those claims are made constantly in corporate gifting and none of them is knowable. What is defensible is simply that it is useful to somebody who is abroad every month.
3
The third question
The five things to be straight about before you send one
It adds a scent, it does not remove one. It puts something into the air alongside whatever is already there, and it is aroma only. No page should suggest a room that smells wrong becomes a room that smells right.

Scent is a taste decision you are making for somebody you may not know well. That is the real risk in sending fragrance to a client, and it is larger than the device question. The ₹3,999 tier is SOSA's own scents. The ₹4,499 tier is hotel-inspired, and these are SOSA's own interpretations - SOSA is independent and not affiliated with any hotel brand, a line that has to travel with them.

No coverage figure is published, for a hotel room or anything else, so nobody can tell your client what size of space it suits. What is published is three speeds from light to intense.

Confirm what comes in the box. The page lists the diffuser, the 20ml bottle, a Type-C cable and the manual, and separately says to add your own fragrance oil, while the variants are named as trios. That is unresolved on the page and it matters more for a client gift than for any other kind, so ask before you send. SOSA's waterless nebuliser oils are ₹1,049 for 100 gm and ₹1,849 for 300 gm.

Rules about batteries and liquids belong to the airline rather than to SOSA - a client who flies monthly should check once with their carrier.
Tip: Confirm what comes in the box before a client gift goes out. The page does not settle it.
SOSA Safar waterless diffuser with three speeds and an auto shut-off timer
The feature that matters away from home
The auto shut-off timer is why this works in a room you are leaving
Safar has a 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off timer and three speed settings. That sounds like a specification line and it is actually the whole argument for using it somewhere that is not your house: you are in somebody else's property, you will walk out in the morning, and you do not want to be the person wondering whether they switched something off. Set it when you drop your bag, and it stops on its own. The battery gives up to 10 hours continuous or up to 30 hours intermittent on one charge - which on a four-night trip usually means the Type-C cable stays in the bag.

Work it out in this order
How to make this decision properly
  1. Decide whether your client welcomes a device or quietly resents one. Start there.
  2. Pick the tier: Rs 3,999 SOSA scents, or Rs 4,499 hotel-inspired interpretations.
  3. Settle bulk and branding on WhatsApp: no rate, no minimum, no slab, no lead time.
  4. Confirm what comes in the box, and make no claim about what the gift does for the work.
The SOSA principle
Corporate gifting drifted towards inert objects for a reason. A pen, a diary and a paperweight ask nothing of the person who receives them, which makes them safe and also makes them invisible. A useful gift is the opposite trade.
So the choice is not between a good gift and a boring one. It is between a gift that costs your client nothing and is forgotten, and a gift that costs them a small amount of attention and is used.

Which tier to send a client, and the independence line that goes with it

Two tiers. At ₹3,999 the SOSA-scent trios are vetiver with Mysore sandalwood and tobacco vanilla, white jasmine with neelakurinji and Malabar lemon, or Japanese cherry blossom with mahogany and sage and cedar. At ₹4,499 the hotel-inspired trios are SOSA's interpretations of the sort of scent associated with particular hotel groups, and wherever those names appear so must this: they are SOSA's own compositions and SOSA is independent and not affiliated with any hotel brand. For a client gift I would think carefully before choosing the higher tier. A hotel name on a gift from a supplier invites a comparison you did not intend, and the independence line then has to do a lot of work on a small label. The ₹3,999 trios are the quieter and more professional choice, and vetiver with sandalwood is about as uncontroversial as fragrance gets.

The SOSA gift edit
The four things firms actually send, compared honestly
The option Who it suits, and where it fails
SOSA Safar · ₹3,999 to ₹4,499 About 6.9 cm, no water, a 2000 mAh Type-C battery giving up to 30 hours intermittent, three speeds and a 1/2/3-hour auto shut-off. It is used rather than displayed, which is rare in this category. Against it: it is a device, so it asks something of the recipient, and scent is a taste call.
An executive pen or leather organiser · the incumbent Inert, safe and instantly legible, which is why it has outlasted every trend in corporate gifting. It also asks nothing and is therefore remembered by nobody. If your client already owns a pen they like, and at this level they do, you are adding to a drawer rather than to a day.
A reed diffuser · from ₹749 A good desk or office gift and about 6 to 10 weeks of it, with nothing to charge and nothing to learn - which answers the device objection neatly. But it is liquid in an open bottle, so it stays where it is put. For a client who is abroad every month, it is a gift for the office they are not in.
An attar · from ₹379 A 3ml alcohol-free roll-on, worn on the skin. Beautifully portable and inexpensive, and for most client relationships that is the problem: something applied to the body is a more personal gift than a professional relationship usually carries. Right for a colleague you know well, awkward otherwise.
SOSA Safar waterless travel diffuser, approximately 6.9 cm
The measurement the packing question turns on
6.9 cm, no water, and nothing that can leak into a suitcase
A reed diffuser is liquid in an open bottle and a candle needs a flame, which is why neither travels. Safar is approximately 6.9 cm, takes no water at all, and carries its fragrance as pure oil in a sealed 20ml bottle - so the thing that usually rules a fragrance product out of a suitcase does not apply. Two honest notes: what arrives in terms of oil is worth confirming before you buy this as a gift, and battery and liquid rules for flying belong to the airline, not to SOSA, so check with yours rather than with a page.
See the nebuliser oils from ₹1,049 →

The running side, which a procurement-minded reader will ask about. Safar takes pure fragrance oil into the 20ml bottle, with no water. SOSA's waterless nebuliser oils are ₹1,049 for 100 gm and ₹1,849 for 300 gm, and a good-quality pure essential oil also works, though thick, sticky or water-based blends can clog the mechanism. It never takes the ₹299 water-based Hotel Collection bottle, which belongs to the ultrasonic machines. What nobody can tell you is the ongoing cost to the recipient, because how long 20ml of oil lasts is not published - so any running-cost table you are shown for this device was invented. If the gift is for a client's office rather than their travel, SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 is the mains-powered one, rated for approximately 1000 m3 of connected air, and it stays where it is installed.

SOSA Safar waterless cordless travel perfume diffuser, Rs 3,999
₹3,999. Vetiver with Mysore sandalwood and tobacco vanilla, white jasmine with neelakurinji and Malabar lemon, or Japanese cherry blossom with mahogany and sage and cedar. 6.9 cm, cordless, Type-C.

SOSA waterless nebuliser refill oils for Safar and Vaayu, from Rs 1,049
Waterless nebuliser oils at ₹1,049 for 100 gm and ₹1,849 for 300 gm. Pure oil into the 20ml bottle, no water. Thick, sticky or water-based blends can clog the mechanism, so this is not the place to improvise.
from ₹1,049
The one distinction that settles most of these questions
Safar ₹3,999 goes with the person. Vaayu ₹11,999 stays with the building
Safar is 6.9 cm, runs on a 2000 mAh battery over Type-C, and gives up to 10 hours continuous or up to 30 hours intermittent on one charge, with 3 speeds and a 1/2/3-hour auto shut-off timer. It is published for a car, a handbag, a desk or a hotel room, and it is aroma only - it does not humidify. Vaayu is the opposite proposition: a mains-powered waterless cold-air machine rated for approximately 1000 m3 of connected air, with a Bluetooth app and timer, a 400ml tank, freestanding or wall and HVAC mounting and a DC 12V / 1A 5W supply, CE, RoHS and SGS marked. That rating assumes one connected body of air, so a Vaayu suits a large open home or a business and is wrong for a property with every door shut - and it is wrong for a suitcase by definition. Both run waterless nebuliser oil at ₹1,049 for 100 gm and ₹1,849 for 300 gm, and neither takes the ₹299 water-based Hotel Collection bottle. So the question is rarely which is better. It is whether you are scenting a place or a person's week.

The reason the executive pen refuses to die is that it asks nothing of anybody. That is its whole virtue and also its whole problem.

The SOSA gifting range

Two questions settle almost every reed diffuser gift, and the first one is not price. How big is the room it is going into? A 50ml suits a bedroom, a study, a hallway or a first diffuser; a 130ml suits an open-plan living and dining area, and it is genuinely too much for a small closed bedroom. Then: how much do you actually know about their taste? The less you know, the less declarative the scent should be - Morning Freshness is the safest of the five for a home you have never stood in, and Fresh Brew coffee-vanilla is the strongest opinion in the range. Price follows those two answers rather than leading them.

No coverage or room-size figure is published for Safar, and the runtime figures describe the battery on one charge rather than how long 20ml of oil lasts, which is not published. What the Safar page publishes, and what it does not
Everything below is on the live product page. Anything not on this list is not something a page like this should state.
  • The device - SOSA Safar, a waterless cordless cold-diffusion perfume diffuser, aroma only. Approximately 6.9 cm, so it fits a cup-holder or a handbag. Published for a car, a handbag, a desk or a hotel room.
  • Power - a 2000 mAh rechargeable lithium battery charged over Type-C, cable included. Up to 10 hours continuous or up to 30 hours intermittent on one charge. Those figures describe the battery, not how long the oil lasts.
  • Control - 3 speeds from light to intense, and a 1 / 2 / 3-hour auto shut-off timer. The timer is the reason it works in a room you are going to walk out of.
  • The oil - a 20ml bottle, filled with pure fragrance oil. SOSA waterless nebuliser oils are ₹1,049 for 100 gm and ₹1,849 for 300 gm; a good-quality pure essential oil also works, while thick, sticky or water-based blends can clog the mechanism. It never takes the ₹299 water-based Hotel Collection bottle.
  • Price - ₹3,999 for the SOSA-scent trios and ₹4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios, which are SOSA's own interpretations; SOSA is independent and not affiliated with any hotel brand. In the box: the diffuser, the 20ml bottle, a Type-C cable and a user manual. Country of origin China (imported) - SOSA's fragrances are made in India, the device is not.
  • Not published, and therefore never stated here: any coverage, room-size or square-footage figure; how long a charge takes; how long a 20ml fill lasts; any warranty period beyond being backed by SOSA support; noise, water resistance or operating temperature; anything about carrying a lithium battery on an aircraft, which is the airline's rule and not SOSA's; and anything about what a hotel will or will not permit in its rooms. Those go to WhatsApp +91 96192 18531, or in the case of flying, to your airline.

A note from Sonal

Safar started as a car product and then the messages changed. People kept writing to tell me where they had actually been using it, and it was almost never the car. It was a hotel room in a city they were in for two nights. It was a serviced flat in a place they had not chosen to live. It was a daughter's room in a university halls of residence eleven time zones away.

What I think is going on is quite specific, and it is not about luxury. A room you have not chosen is a room you have no memory of. Everything in it was selected by somebody else for somebody who is not you, and most of it is perfectly nice. The thing that makes a space yours is not how expensive it is - it is that something in it is the same as it was yesterday. Scent is unusually good at being that something, because it is the one part of a room you can carry in a handbag.

The feature I would point at, if I could only point at one, is the auto shut-off timer. It sounds like a small engineering detail and it is the reason the thing works away from home. You are in somebody else's property, you will leave in the morning, and you do not want to think about whether you switched something off. One hour, two or three, and it stops on its own.

And the part I will not dress up: this does not fix anything about being far from the people you like. It is a diffuser. It adds a scent you chose to a space you did not choose, and it does not remove whatever the room already smells of. That is a smaller claim than the ones usually made about travel products, and it happens to be true.

Frequently asked questions

Is a diffuser appropriate as a client gift?
It can be, provided you accept that it is a device rather than an ornament. It has a 2000 mAh battery charged over Type-C, it needs oil added and it needs switching on, so it asks a little of a client who did not request it. For someone abroad every month it is genuinely useful, which is more than most desk gifts manage. SOSA Safar is Rs 3,999.
Does SOSA do bulk orders, and what are the rates?
Bulk orders are welcome and no numbers are published against them: no bulk rate, no minimum order, no slab and no lead time. Anyone quoting you a figure invented it. Branding is exactly one thing, a custom label or logo on the product itself, with no printed sleeve, no insert card and no gift wrap behind it. Settle it on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531.
Will a good client gift help us keep the account?
This page makes no claim of that kind, and you should be wary of any page that does. Nothing about a gift winning work, being remembered or changing a professional relationship is knowable, and SOSA publishes nothing of the sort. The defensible statement is simply that the object is useful to a person who is often in rooms that are not theirs.
Which tier should I send a client, Rs 3,999 or Rs 4,499?
Usually Rs 3,999. The Rs 4,499 trios are hotel-inspired, and they are SOSA's own interpretations, with SOSA independent and not affiliated with any hotel brand. On a gift from a supplier a hotel name invites a comparison you did not mean to start. The Rs 3,999 SOSA scents are the quieter professional choice.
What comes in the box, and does the client need to buy anything else?
The product page lists the diffuser, the 20ml bottle, a Type-C cable and the manual, and separately says to add your own fragrance oil, while the variants are named as scent trios. The page does not settle that, so ask SOSA on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 before sending it. SOSA waterless nebuliser oils are Rs 1,049 for 100 gm and Rs 1,849 for 300 gm.

SOSA waterless nebuliser oils, which Safar and SOSA Vaayu both run on, are ₹1,049 for 100 gm and ₹1,849 for 300 gm; neither device takes the ₹299 water-based Hotel Collection bottle. SOSA Vaayu ₹11,999 is a mains-powered waterless cold-air nebulising diffuser rated for approximately 1000 cubic metres of connected air with a Bluetooth app and timer, a 400 ml tank, freestanding or wall and HVAC mounting and a DC 12V / 1A 5W supply, CE, RoHS and SGS; SOSA Meenar ₹38,500 covers 12,000 to 18,000 sq ft. What the Safar page does not publish, and what is therefore not stated anywhere here: any coverage, room-size, square-footage or cubic-volume figure; how long the battery takes to charge; how long a 20 ml fill of oil lasts, which is a different thing from battery runtime; any warranty period; noise level, water resistance or operating temperature; and how many drops a fill takes. The page's in-the-box list and its repeated instruction to add your own fragrance oil do not settle whether fragrance oil arrives with the device, so no claim is made here either way. About air travel: nothing on this page states or implies that Safar may be carried in cabin or hold baggage or taken through airport security. A rechargeable lithium battery is governed by the airline's rules and the reader should check with their airline. Nothing here states what any hotel will or will not permit in its rooms. Limits of this guide: Safar adds a scent to a space. It does not remove, neutralise, mask, cancel or purify any odour, it does not clean or humidify the air, and no SOSA product makes any health, antibacterial or air-purifying claim. No claim is made anywhere on this page about mood, stress, calm, sleep, comfort, homesickness or wellbeing: fragrance is a scent, not a treatment, and where a product name contains a word such as Calm that is a name and not an effect. No claim is made about how any recipient will feel. About origin and affiliation: SOSA Home & Body is an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, Maharashtra, and sends orders across India, with no shop, showroom, stockist, counter or warehouse in any other city. SOSA's fragrances are made in India; the Safar device is imported, with China stated as its country of origin. SOSA blends described as hotel-inspired are SOSA's own interpretations and SOSA is independent and not affiliated with any hotel brand.
