Moving one diffuser saves money once. Keeping one in each room saves effort every single day. That is the whole trade-off in a sentence — and for most people, the daily effort is the thing that decides it.
Quick answer
For most homes: keep one in each room. A fixed Sukoon per room removes the daily carry.
Moving one is fine only in a small 1BHK where you use one room at a time, or as a short trial.
Budget middle path: keep the Sukoon fixed, add a ₹799 Boond in the second room.
The short version
Short answer: One per room. Moving a single diffuser is a daily chore that never leaves either room properly scented.
The pick: Two
Sukoons ₹1,799 each — or one Sukoon + a
Boond ₹799 to save.
I moved a single diffuser around my own home for the better part of a year before I admitted defeat, so I say this with some experience. The idea is appealing: one good machine, carried where you need it, no duplication. In practice it fights you. An ultrasonic diffuser runs on water, which means every time you shift it you are carrying a half-full tank, tipping it out or topping it up, and then standing there while the new room slowly builds scent from nothing. You are never in the room at the moment it smells its best. And the room you just left goes quiet the instant you unplug it.
The two costs that never appear on the price tag
When people compare "move one" against "buy two," they usually only weigh the money. But there are two hidden costs to moving one, and they are the ones that actually shape how the home feels day to day.
01
The lag cost
Neither room is ever ready when you are
SOSA Sukoon ₹1,799
A diffuser does not scent a room instantly. It takes fifteen to twenty minutes of running for the mist to build a scent you actually notice. So when you carry the machine into the bedroom at bedtime, the room is only starting to smell of anything as you are drifting off — and the living room you left is already silent. A Sukoon that lives in each room can be switched on twenty minutes ahead, so the room is right the moment you walk in.
Founder tip: whichever route you choose, switch a Sukoon on twenty minutes before you want the room to feel scented. Fragrance rewards a little lead time.
02
The handling cost
Water makes a diffuser a poor thing to carry
SOSA Boond ₹799
Because these are cool-mist machines, moving them means dealing with water — spills on the console, a tank you should empty if it will sit unused, refilling before each move. It is a small irritation, but you meet it twice a day, and small irritations met twice a day are exactly the ones that wear you down. A second small device such as the Boond at ₹799 keeps the bedroom permanently supplied so the larger Sukoon never has to travel.
Honest caveat: two devices mean two sources of mild humidity. In humid coastal cities, run each in short thirty-to-sixty-minute sessions rather than all day.

"A diffuser you have to carry is a diffuser you slowly stop using. The one that stays put is the one that keeps the room scented."
Sonal Sahani · Founder, SOSA
If your home is genuinely small and you only ever occupy one room at a time, moving one diffuser is a perfectly reasonable place to start, and I would never push you to spend more than you need. But be honest with yourself about how the evening actually goes. If you like the living room to feel welcoming while you cook and eat, and then the bedroom to feel calm when you retire, you want both scented in the same stretch of evening — and that is precisely what a single travelling device cannot give you. For that life, one per room is not a luxury. It is simply the version that works.
Frequently asked
Is it better to move one diffuser around or keep one in each room?
Keeping one in each room is better for almost everyone. Moving a single diffuser saves the cost of a second device once, but you pay for it every day: emptying the water, carrying it, refilling, and waiting fifteen to twenty minutes for the new room to build scent. A dedicated
Sukoon in each room removes all of that and lets each keep its own fragrance. Moving one only makes sense as a short-term start, or in a very small home where you use one room at a time.
What is the downside of carrying one diffuser between rooms?
Three things. First, the room you leave loses its scent while the room you enter takes fifteen to twenty minutes to build it, so neither is ever quite ready. Second, the daily handling — tipping out water, refilling, wiping spills — becomes a chore you resent. Third, you can only ever run one fragrance at a time, so your two rooms can never have their own character at once.
Is it cheaper to move one diffuser than to buy two?
Only in the very short term. Moving one saves ₹1,799, the price of a second Sukoon, or ₹799 if you choose a
Boond for the smaller room. But that is a one-time saving against a daily inconvenience. Most people who start by moving one device end up buying a second within a few weeks, because the convenience is worth far more than the outlay.
When does moving one diffuser actually make sense?
In a small 1BHK or studio where you are really only using one room at a time — asleep in the bedroom or awake in the living area, never both scented at once. It also makes sense as a trial while you decide which fragrances you like, before committing to a second device. Beyond that, a fixed diffuser per room is the calmer choice.
Can I keep one diffuser fixed and use a cheaper option in the second room?
Yes, and it is a smart compromise. Keep the Sukoon in your larger room and add a smaller
Boond at ₹799 in the bedroom, or even a passive reed diffuser that needs no power at all. Each room then keeps its own scent permanently without the cost of two full-size machines.
Stop carrying, start relaxing
One device per room. Each one ready before you walk in.
Keep a Sukoon in the living room and a second Sukoon — or a budget Boond — in the bedroom. No more emptying tanks, no more waiting for the scent to catch up.
