✓ Said first: SOSA makes no white musk attar and no musk soliflore of any kind✓ White musk is a base note in Adaa, Ameeri and Nawaab, and never the whole scent✓ Made in India to IFRA standards · a portion of every purchase supports Nanhi Kali

The first thing to say is that SOSA makes no white musk attar. White musk is a base note, in three of the four attars and never the subject. That sounds like the end of your question, and it is closer to the start of it, because the wood you want on top of the musk is exactly what those three differ in.
Quick answers — read this first
Is there a SOSA attar that is clean white musk with a woody finish? There is no white musk attar, but white musk is a base note in SOSA Adaa, SOSA Ameeri and SOSA Nawaab. Adaa's base is white musk, vetiver and cedarwood, which is the nearest to what you describe.
Cedarwood or sandalwood: which wood suits a clean white musk? Cedarwood is dry and crisp, so it keeps a musk clean. Sandalwood is soft and creamy, so it rounds it. SOSA Adaa has the cedarwood profile and SOSA Ameeri has the sandalwood one.
Will a SOSA white musk base smell powdery? Powder in a musk comes from iris, heliotrope, violet or aldehydes. None of them is in Adaa's published pyramid, which is why it reads dry and skin-like rather than powdery. Ameeri lists none of them either.
The short answer
Short answer: No white musk attar exists, but Adaa's base is white musk, vetiver and cedarwood. For a clean musk with a dry wood, that is the nearest.
The pick: One 3ml of SOSA Adaa at ₹379, one dab, judged at hour three. Take SOSA Ameeri at ₹385 if you want the wood softer and the setting richer.
Next step: Tell us whether clean or woody is the word that matters more, and we will say which of the two fits. Ask for an attar recommendation.
The gap on the first line, because it decides everything below it. The two woody routes follow, with the powder note on the fourth line and the two 3ml prices on the last.
Adaa for a cedarwood dry-down, Ameeri for sandalwood
I Want Clean White Musk With a Subtle Woody Dry-Down — Which Sandalwood or Cedarwood Profiles Should I Compare?
Adaa, with the gap stated: no white musk attar exists, and white musk is a base note in three. Choose on the wood. Here is the sorting in five steps, and the one case where the answer is Ameeri.
1. Say the gap first. SOSA makes no white musk attar and no musk soliflore. White musk is a base note in SOSA Adaa, SOSA Ameeri and SOSA Nawaab, and in none of them is it the whole fragrance.
2. Choose by the wood above the musk. Cedarwood is dry and crisp, so it keeps the musk clean. Sandalwood is soft and creamy, so it rounds the musk. That is the whole difference between the cedarwood profile and the sandalwood one.
3. Take Adaa for clean first.SOSA Adaa at ₹379 opens on bergamot, cardamom and neroli, softens into three white flowers, and dries to white musk, vetiver and cedarwood. No oudh, and no iris, violet or aldehyde, so no powder.
4. Take Ameeri for woody first.SOSA Ameeri at ₹385 puts Indian sandalwood under Taif rose, over soft oudh, amber and white musk. Softer wood, richer setting, and not a clean-first fragrance, so choose it knowingly.
5. Pass over the rest.SOSA Nawaab has white musk under oud, tobacco and leather, and SOSA Mastani has sandalwood with no white musk in its base. Neither answers a clean musk with a subtle wood.
What anyone else makes of it is theirs to say, and I will not guess. What I can offer is the published base notes and a 3ml that shows you, at hour three, whether the dry-down is the one you meant.
No white musk attar exists; white musk is a base note in three. SOSA Adaa at ₹379 has white musk, vetiver and cedarwood, no powder. SOSA Ameeri is the sandalwood version. One 3ml, one dab.
What to buy for clean musk with a subtle woody dry-down
The product
SOSA Adaa, with white musk, vetiver and cedarwood in the base and no oudh anywhere. An alcohol-free, DPG-free roll-on oil on a sandalwood and jojoba carrier, hand-blended in Pune.
The size to start on
The 3ml, at ₹379. The 6ml at ₹669 and the 12ml at ₹1,149 are for after you have worn it through a full season and the dry-down is the one you wanted.
Dabs, and where
One dab on the chest or the inner wrist, on dry skin. One dab is a whisper and two is a sentence. A subtle dry-down is a one-dab result, and a second dab turns the musk up before it turns the wood up.
At hour three
The bergamot and the white flowers have thinned. What the pyramid leaves is white musk with vetiver and cedarwood, dry and close. That is the dry-down you asked about, and it is what you are judging.
What it costs to stay on it
Nothing beyond the small size while you are still deciding. SOSA states 6–8 hours on skin, and the 3ml covers three ordinary days. Ameeri at ₹385 is the second try only if the cedarwood is not right.
I would start you on Adaa and I would say plainly that its wood is cedarwood, not sandalwood. That is why it stays dry and clean. If you would rather have the softer wood and can accept a richer setting, Ameeri is the other bottle I would hand you.
Buy one 3ml of SOSA Adaa at ₹379 and nothing else for now: Calabrian bergamot, green cardamom and neroli on top, jasmine sambac, magnolia and ylang ylang in the heart, white musk, vetiver and cedarwood underneath. An alcohol-free roll-on oil, hand-blended in Pune, with no oudh at all. One dab, judged at hour three.
Two attars are the real candidates, one for each wood. All four attars are alcohol-free, DPG-free roll-on oils in 3ml, 6ml and 12ml, and white musk sits in the base of three of them. The cards below set out what each does with it, starting with the clean one.
₹379 for 3ml, ₹669 for 6ml, ₹1,149 for 12ml. Calabrian bergamot, green cardamom and neroli over jasmine sambac, magnolia and ylang ylang, on white musk, vetiver and cedarwood. No oudh and no powder note. The wood is dry cedarwood with earthy vetiver, so the musk stays close and clean.
₹385 for 3ml, ₹679 for 6ml, ₹1,165 for 12ml. Persian saffron, pink pepper and bergamot over Taif rose and Indian sandalwood, on soft oudh, amber and white musk. The wood is sandalwood, in the heart, with the musk below it. Richer than Adaa, with soft oudh and amber, and not a clean-first fragrance.
₹399 for 3ml, ₹699 for 6ml, ₹1,199 for 12ml. White royal oud, Mysore sandalwood, Kashmir saffron and aged tobacco leaf over amber, leather and white musk. It has both ingredients you named, and it is oud-led and the deepest of the four, so the musk is not what you meet and the dry-down is not subtle. Choose it knowingly.
None of these is a promise about your nose. Each is a structural reason, readable on a pyramid, that one white-musk base finishes clean and dry while another finishes round or deep.
1
One
White musk is the same floor with a different room above
White musk is a base note in Adaa, Ameeri and Nawaab, and it is never the whole fragrance. What changes is what stands above it. In Adaa it is vetiver and cedarwood, which are dry. In Ameeri it is soft oudh and amber, with sandalwood in the heart, which is rounder and warmer. In Nawaab it is amber and leather under oud. The musk is common to all three, so choosing among them is choosing the room, not the floor. I cannot rank the amounts of musk, because none is published.
Tip: Read the base line of each pyramid and ignore the top. The base is what you wear at hour three.
Nawaab at ₹399 puts amber and leather beside white musk, under an oud-led top. The deepest room.
Cedarwood is a dry, crisp wood, the pencil-shaving side of the family, and next to a musk it tightens the finish. Sandalwood is soft and creamy, and next to a musk it rounds the finish. Neither is better. A reader who says clean and subtle is usually asking for the first, and a reader who says warm and soft is asking for the second. Adaa has cedarwood and vetiver in its base. Ameeri has sandalwood in its heart. If cedarwood has bothered you before, that matters, and there is a page for exactly that.
Tip: If strong cedarwood has put you off before, say which fragrance it was and we will compare its pyramid with Adaa's.
Adaa at ₹379 has cedarwood and vetiver over white musk, the dry arrangement of the two.
A subtle dry-down is judged at hour three, not on a strip
Subtle is a quality of the base and of the dose, not a promise that a fragrance is weak. SOSA states 6–8 hours on skin for the attars. What you are testing at hour three is whether the base is the one you pictured, which the top and heart will have hidden. Powder, in a musk, comes from iris, heliotrope, violet or aldehydes, and none of them is in Adaa's published pyramid or Ameeri's, so powder is not what you are testing for. You are testing the wood.
Tip: Wear it in the season you plan to wear it, and judge it at hour three on three separate days.
Mastani at ₹389 has Mysore sandalwood but no white musk in its base, so it is not this brief.
A clean musk with a woody dry-down is not a note. It is an arrangement: musk on the floor, a dry wood above it, and nothing sweet or powdery on top of either.
That is why the question has a cedarwood answer and a sandalwood one. The musk is the same in both. The wood decides whether the finish is crisp or round.
The cedarwood profile, with a musk floor: Adaa at ₹379: bergamot, cardamom and neroli, three white flowers, then white musk, vetiver and cedarwood. The lightest of the four, with no oudh, in 3ml, 6ml and 12ml.
The table walks through a wearing, one stage at a time, with the cedarwood profile and the sandalwood profile in the same row. Each cell uses only what is on the published pyramids.
The SOSA plan
Adaa against Ameeri, from the opening to the dry-down
The stage of wear
Adaa (cedarwood) against Ameeri (sandalwood)
The opening: the first twenty minutes
Adaa opens on bergamot, green cardamom and neroli, bright and citric. Ameeri opens on Persian saffron, pink pepper and bergamot, spicier. Neither is the part to judge.
The middle: the first hour or so
Adaa softens into jasmine sambac, magnolia and ylang ylang. Ameeri puts Taif rose and Indian sandalwood together, which is where the wood first arrives.
The cedarwood dry-down at hour three
White musk with vetiver and cedarwood: dry, close, nothing sweet left. This is the arrangement closest to clean with a subtle wood. View →
The sandalwood dry-down at hour three
White musk with soft oudh and amber under the fading sandalwood: rounder, warmer and richer. Present oudh, soft, and amber. View →
Powder: iris, heliotrope, violet, aldehydes
In neither pyramid. That absence is why Adaa reads dry and skin-like rather than powdery; Ameeri lists none of them either, and is rounder for other reasons.
The sandalwood profile, with a richer setting: Ameeri at ₹385: Persian saffron, pink pepper and bergamot, Taif rose and Indian sandalwood, then soft oudh, amber and white musk. A warmer, rounder attar.
The fork is which word comes first. Adaa is clean first, with a dry cedarwood and vetiver finish and no oudh. Ameeri is wood first, with sandalwood in the heart and a richer base of soft oudh and amber.
Two rows. Adaa is the answer for the reader whose first word was clean, and Ameeri is the answer for the reader whose first word was woody. The note says what neither of them is, and repeats the gap.
The SOSA specification for musk with a wood
Adaa for the cedarwood profile, Ameeri for sandalwood
Both rows start small: the 3ml of Adaa at ₹379, or the 3ml of Ameeri at ₹385. The larger sizes are a purchase for after a full season: ₹379 for 3ml, ₹669 for 6ml, ₹1,149 for 12ml for Adaa and ₹385 for 3ml, ₹679 for 6ml, ₹1,165 for 12ml for Ameeri. Neither is a white musk attar, because SOSA makes none and no musk soliflore either; white musk is a base note in Adaa, Ameeri and Nawaab and never the subject. Ameeri carries soft oudh and amber, and Adaa carries cedarwood, and I would rather you read both here than meet them on your wrist. SOSA states 6–8 hours on skin for the attars and nothing further; how long any fragrance lasts depends on skin, dose, clothing and the day. A patch test on first use is the only skin advice we give. There is no honest way to promise what anyone else will think of it, and I will not. Ours is a contact page and a person who replies: Ask for an attar recommendation and tell us which word comes first.

A note from Sonal
When someone asks me for a clean white musk with a little wood in the finish, they have already described the exact shape of a good base, and I like that. I also have to tell them I do not sell it as a bottle. There is no white musk attar in my range, no musk soliflore at all. White musk is the floor in three of my attars, and I have never made one where it is the whole room.
What I can do is show you the rooms. Adaa builds a dry one: vetiver and cedarwood over white musk, under bergamot, cardamom and white flowers, with no oudh. Ameeri builds a rounder one: Indian sandalwood under Taif rose, over soft oudh, amber and white musk. If clean is your first word, I would hand you Adaa and say so. If the wood is your first word, I would hand you Ameeri and tell you about the oudh and amber before you paid.
So the advice is small. One 3ml, one dab, three ordinary days, and a judgment at hour three, when the opening is gone and the dry-down is all that is left. If it is the dry-down you pictured, you will know. There is no honest way to promise what anyone else will make of how you smell, so the measure is yours. A portion of every purchase supports Nanhi Kali.
Frequently asked questions
Does SOSA make a white musk attar?
No, and it makes no musk soliflore of any kind. White musk is a base note in SOSA Adaa, SOSA Ameeri and SOSA Nawaab, and in none of them is it the whole fragrance. If you want musk as the whole fragrance, SOSA does not make it, and it is better to know that before buying.
Which has more white musk, Adaa or Ameeri?
I cannot say, because no amounts are published for either. What I can say is that white musk sits in the base of both, with vetiver and cedarwood in Adaa and soft oudh and amber in Ameeri. The difference you will notice is the wood and the setting, not the musk.
Will Adaa's cedarwood be too strong for me?
I cannot promise how it reads on your skin. It is one of three base notes beside white musk and vetiver, and not the lead. If strong cedarwood has bothered you before, the 3ml judged at hour three is the honest test, and SOSA Ameeri is the sandalwood alternative.
Does a subtle dry-down mean a weaker fragrance?
No. Subtle describes the balance of the base and the dose, not a shorter wear. SOSA states 6–8 hours on skin for the attars, and one dab is a whisper where two is a sentence. A subtle result is mostly a one-dab result.
What if neither wood is the dry-down I pictured?
Then you have learned something for ₹379 and not for ₹1,149, which is the point of the 3ml. Tell us what you smelled at hour three, and we will say whether SOSA Ameeri is the better try or the range is not for you.
The sandalwood with no white musk, to leave out: Mastani at ₹389: night-blooming jasmine and Damask rose over Mysore sandalwood, oudh, Madagascar vanilla and tonka. A deep floral-gourmand, and a different brief.
