Three descriptions, and the range answers exactly one of them, so let me be useful rather than flattering about it. Fresh aromatic is Adaa, and that is a real answer. Woody musk does not exist here as a composition. Sandalwood does not exist here as a composition either, only as a major note under a rose or an oud. And the oud one, Nawaab, is excluded by your own condition before I get a chance to argue for it. So the answer is Adaa, the reasoning takes a page, and there is one caveat in Adaa that you need to hear before you order.
Quick answers — read this first
Which attar suits somebody who wants a masculine-leaning fragrance without heavy oud? From the SOSA range, Adaa - the fresh aromatic of the four, with bergamot and green cardamom over jasmine sambac and a white musk base. There is no standalone woody musk attar and no standalone sandalwood attar in the range, so two of the three options in that shortlist do not exist here, and Nawaab, the oud composition, is excluded by the no-heavy-oud condition. A 3ml of Adaa is ₹379, and a 3ml of Ameeri, the sandalwood-carrying one, is ₹385.

What do people usually mean when they say an attar is masculine-leaning? Three checkable things, in practice: not sweet, not a bouquet in front, and dry rather than round. No material is masculine in itself - the association came from decades of how accords were marketed. The useful move is to translate the word into those three tests and then read them off a note list, because all three are visible in a published composition.

Is there a SOSA attar with no floral note at all? One: Nawaab, which runs oud, sandalwood, saffron, black pepper, cardamom, aged tobacco leaf, amber, leather and white musk. It is the only one of the four with nothing floral in it, and it is also the deepest and the most oud-forward, so a reader avoiding heavy oud has ruled it out. That is a genuine gap in the range rather than something I can talk around.
The short answer
Short answer: Fresh aromatic, which here means Adaa - bergamot and green cardamom over jasmine sambac with a white musk base. There is no standalone woody musk attar and no standalone sandalwood attar in the range, and Nawaab, the oud one, is ruled out by your own no-heavy-oud condition.
The pick: Adaa, 3ml at ₹379. The only fresh opening in the range, a dry green spice alongside the citrus, and a musk drydown rather than a sweet one. If you want warmth instead, Ameeri at 3ml ₹385 is the sandalwood-carrying one, with the honest condition that a rose leads it.
Honest note: an attar is bought unsmelled, so a list of notes is all you have. A note list describes an intention, not a smell, and nothing written here is a substitute for wearing it.
Four attars - lightest opening to deepest baseAdaa · Mastani · Ameeri · Nawaab3ml from ₹379  |  6ml from ₹669  |  12ml from ₹1,149Dab on pulse points - oil wants warmth, not rubbing6-8 hours on skin · alcohol-free · DPG-free carrier
There are four SOSA attars and they run from a bergamot-and-cardamom opening at the lightest end to white royal oud at the deepest. Adaa is the freshest, Mastani the most floral, Ameeri the warmest, Nawaab the deepest. All four are alcohol-free on a jojoba carrier with no DPG, come with a dab applicator, and wear 6-8 hours on skin - longer on warm or oily skin. Sizes are 3ml, 6ml and 12ml, from Rs 379. None of that tells you whether you will like the smell, which is why the smallest size exists.
Straight answer
Which attar should I choose if I want something masculine-leaning without a heavy oud - woody musk, sandalwood or fresh aromatic?
Fresh aromatic, which in this range means Adaa. Two of your three options do not exist.

First, what the word masculine is doing in your question. It is doing real work and it is also not a property of any material. No molecule is masculine - what happened is that certain accords were marketed one way for several decades and the association stuck. That matters practically, because when people say masculine-leaning they almost always mean three checkable things: not sweet, not a bouquet in front, and dry rather than round. Those three are things you can read off a note list, and the moment you translate the word into them, your shortlist becomes answerable.

Now your three candidates against the actual range. There are four SOSA attars. Woody musk is not one of them. There is no musk-led composition here; white musk is the base of Adaa and one of nine notes in Nawaab. Sandalwood is not one of them either. It is a major note in Ameeri and in Nawaab and the subject of neither. Fresh aromatic is one of them, and it is Adaa: bergamot, green cardamom, jasmine sambac, white musk. That is the whole of the honest mapping, and it leaves one answer standing.

And your own condition closes the door on the fourth. Nawaab is the oud composition - oud, sandalwood, saffron, black pepper, cardamom, aged tobacco leaf, amber, leather, white musk - and it is the deepest thing we make. If you had not written "without heavy oud", it is the bottle most readers in your position end up loving, because an oud-leather-tobacco attar is genuinely unlike most of what sits in a spray collection. You did write it, so it is out, and I am not going to argue you out of your own brief.

So Adaa, measured against the three things you actually meant. Not sweet: the note list is bergamot, green cardamom, jasmine sambac, white musk, and there is no amber, no benzoin, no tonka and no vanilla anywhere in it, which are the four usual routes to a sweet reading. Dry rather than round: the opening is a citrus and a green spice, which is the dry end of this range by some distance. Not a bouquet in front: one floral, in the heart, under the citrus.

The caveat, which is that one floral. Adaa lists jasmine sambac, and sambac is mogra - the same flower. If a white floral on a note list is a dealbreaker on principle, then you should know that the range has no purely woody-musk composition to offer you instead. Nawaab is the only one of the four with no floral at all, and you have ruled it out. That is a real gap and I would rather name it than paper over it. How to read a floral note in a composition you have not smelled is worth two minutes before you decide.

If you want warmth instead of freshness. Ameeri is the other candidate worth your attention: rose and saffron carried on sandalwood with a soft oudh underneath. The oudh is soft rather than heavy, which keeps it inside your condition, and the sandalwood is the thing you shortlisted. The condition you have to accept is that a rose leads it, and a rose on a creamy wood can read powdery. That is the trade and you are better placed than me to judge it.

What I will not do is rank these by strength. No measured projection figure is published for any attar by any house, ours included, so nobody can honestly tell you which of two compositions takes up more room. The only wear figure SOSA publishes is 6-8 hours on skin, longer on warm or oily skin, and it is the same figure for all four. What is comparable is depth, lightest to deepest: Adaa, Mastani, Ameeri, Nawaab. The method for ranking a shortlist on what is actually knowable is set out separately.

Then buy the 3ml. Adaa at ₹379, alcohol-free on a jojoba carrier with no DPG, IFRA-compliant, dab applicator, hand-blended in small batches in Pune. Wear it for a week. A note list is not a smell, and no amount of good writing on this page is a substitute for wearing it.
Fresh aromatic: Adaa, bergamot and green cardamom over jasmine sambac and white musk, 3ml ₹379. Woody musk and sandalwood do not exist here as standalone compositions, and the oud one is ruled out by your own condition. Ameeri 3ml ₹385 if you want warmth with a rose in front.
Start at 3ml. A 3ml costs ₹379 to ₹399 depending on the composition, holds the same liquid as the larger sizes, and is the only honest size for a fragrance you have never worn. Wear it for a week before you buy a size. Nothing on this page can tell you how it will smell on your skin, which is exactly why the smallest bottle exists.

Translating masculine-leaning into something a note list can answer

Three steps, and the first one is the one that makes the other two possible. Do them in order and the shortlist resolves itself.

1
Translate
Turn the label into three things a note list can answer
Masculine-leaning is a convention about marketing rather than a property of a material, which makes it useless as a filter until you unpack it. Unpacked, it almost always means: not sweet, not a bouquet in front, dry rather than round. Those three are readable off any published composition. Do the translation first and you will find that half the bottles labelled one way and half labelled the other both pass.
Tip: Write your three tests down, then read note lists against them.
2
Subtract
Two of your three options are not products here
There are four SOSA attars. Woody musk is not a composition in the range - white musk is a base in Adaa and one note of nine in Nawaab. Sandalwood is not a composition either - it is a major note in Ameeri and Nawaab. Fresh aromatic is a composition, and it is Adaa. A shortlist of three becomes a shortlist of one by subtraction, and subtraction is a perfectly respectable way to arrive at an answer.
Tip: Check that each thing on your shortlist is a product somebody actually sells.
3
The gap
If a listed floral is a dealbreaker, the range has nothing
Adaa carries jasmine sambac, which is mogra, in its heart. For most readers who describe themselves the way you have, that is a non-issue once worn, because it sits under a citrus and a dry spice. But if a white floral on a list is an absolute no, the only floral-free composition we make is the oud one you have excluded. That is a real gap, and the honest answer in that case is to buy a woody musk from a house that makes one.
Tip: Decide whether a listed floral is a preference or a prohibition.
The SOSA principle
No material is masculine. What people mean by the word is not sweet, not a bouquet in front, and dry rather than round - and all three of those can be read off a note list.
Translate the label into those three tests and a shortlist you could not settle becomes a shortlist you can.

The one real answer, and the one honest alternative

Adaa is the fresh aromatic answer and the lightest of the four: bergamot and green cardamom on top, jasmine sambac in the heart, white musk underneath. On the three things readers usually mean by masculine-leaning it scores well - no sweet material anywhere, a dry citrus-and-spice opening, and a single floral sitting under it rather than a bouquet in front.

The SOSA attar range
Your three descriptions against what the range actually contains
Option When it is the right call
Fresh aromatic: Adaa, 3ml ₹379 Bergamot, green cardamom, jasmine sambac, white musk · no sweet material anywhere
Trade-off: It lists a jasmine, and it is the lightest of the four
Woody musk, as a composition Not made by SOSA · nothing to sell you
Nearest: Adaa's white musk base, which is a drydown rather than a subject
Sandalwood: Ameeri, 3ml ₹385 Sandalwood carries a rose with saffron and a soft oudh · second deepest of four
Trade-off: A rose leads it, and rose on a creamy wood can read powdery
The oud one: Nawaab, 3ml ₹399 Nine notes, no floral, deepest in the range
Trade-off: Ruled out by your own condition, and I am not going to argue you out of it

Ameeri is the alternative if you would rather have warmth than freshness: rose and saffron on sandalwood with a soft oudh beneath, which keeps it inside your no-heavy-oud condition while giving you the sandalwood you shortlisted. The trade is the rose, which leads the composition and which, sitting on a creamy wood, can read powdery. Nawaab is the one most readers in your position love and your own brief rules it out.

Not sure which of the four is yours?
Tell us the three fragrances you wear most and the notes you cannot stand. If none of our four fits what you describe, we will say so rather than sell you a bottle you will not wear.
Ask first
Two of your three options are not compositions we make. One is. That is the whole answer, and it took a paragraph of subtraction to get there.

The SOSA attar range

Every SOSA attar is alcohol-free and IFRA-compliant on a jojoba carrier with no DPG, hand-blended in small batches in Pune. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. There are four, and the honest way to read them is by depth - how much the base note is doing.

The SOSA attar range
Four attars, lightest to deepest - 3ml from ₹379
Attar Built on What it is, honestly 3ml
Adaa Bergamot, green cardamom, jasmine sambac, white musk The lightest of the four and the easiest first attar. Jasmine sambac is mogra, so this is also the mogra answer ₹379
Ameeri Taif rose, Indian sandalwood, Persian saffron, soft oudh The warm one. Rose and sandalwood doing most of the work, with the oudh kept soft ₹385
Mastani Night-blooming jasmine, Damask rose, oudh The most floral. A different jasmine and a different rose from Adaa and Ameeri ₹389
Nawaab White royal oud, sandalwood, saffron, tobacco leaf, amber, leather The deepest in the range. Not a first attar unless you already know you like oud ₹399
The trio Ameeri, Nawaab and Mastani together Three of the four at once. The honest answer when you cannot choose and will not guess ₹1,055

Four honest notes. A note list is not a smell. Every composition above is described in the words we would use ourselves, and those words still cannot tell you how it will sit on your skin - which is the whole reason the 3ml exists. On the sizes: 3ml, 6ml and 12ml are the same liquid, and the only reason to buy the larger ones is that you already know. If you have not worn it, buy the smallest and let it earn the upgrade. On wear: all four are 6-8 hours on skin, longer on warm or oily skin, and that is the only figure we publish. We do not publish a drop count, a per-application cost, or a comparison with how long anybody else's fragrance lasts - including sprays. On what we do not make: there is no standalone musk, sandalwood, amber, tuberose, vetiver, khus, aquatic or tobacco attar in this range. Four compositions is the whole range, and where your answer is not one of them, this page will say so rather than talk you into the nearest thing.

A note from Sonal

Attars are the part of this business where the marketing is worst, and I would like ours to be the boring, accurate version. Most of the category sells a bottle on adjectives - royal, exotic, hypnotic, long-lasting - and on numbers nobody has measured. You cannot smell any of it before you pay, so the words are doing all the work, and almost nobody writes them honestly.

So here is what I will and will not tell you. I will tell you what is in each of the four, in the order you meet it, and that they wear 6-8 hours on my skin. I will not tell you that one of them smells expensive, or that it will turn heads, or that it lasts twelve hours, because I cannot know the first two about you and have not measured the third. The honest sequence is: read the notes, buy the 3ml, wear it for a week, and only then buy a size. If none of our four matches what you have described to yourself, I would rather say so than sell you the nearest one.

The other thing worth knowing is how little you need. An attar is concentrated oil, and the commonest mistake is wearing it like a spray - a long press at the neck and another at the wrists. One dab at a pulse point is the dose. Two if you want it read across a dinner table. Do not rub it in; oil opens with warmth, and rubbing crushes the top of it. That is the entire dial, and most people never need the top of it. A portion of every order supports girl-child education.

Frequently asked questions

Which SOSA attar is the fresh aromatic one?
Adaa. Bergamot and green cardamom on top, jasmine sambac in the heart, white musk underneath. It is the lightest of the four and the only opening in the range that reads citrus and green rather than warm. A 3ml is Rs 379, a 6ml Rs 669 and a 12ml Rs 1,149.
Does SOSA make a woody musk attar?
No. White musk is the base of Adaa and one of the nine notes in Nawaab, and there is no musk-led or woody-musk composition in the range. Four compositions is the whole of it. If you want a woody musk as the subject of the bottle rather than its ending, buy it from a house that makes one.
Is Nawaab too much if I do not like heavy oud?
It is the deepest composition in the range and oud is the first thing on its list, so on your own brief, yes. I will not try to sell it to you around your condition. If you are ever curious, the 3ml at Rs 399 is the way to find out, and not the 12ml at Rs 1,199.
Will a fresh attar last as long as a deep one?
The only wear figure SOSA publishes is 6-8 hours on skin, longer on warm or oily skin, and it is the same figure for all four attars, including the lightest. I am not going to quote you a different number for a deeper composition, because we do not measure one and nobody in this category publishes a projection or throw figure at all.
Is it worth buying two 3mls to compare?
For a shortlist like yours, yes. Adaa at Rs 379 and Ameeri at Rs 385 is the fresh answer and the warm answer side by side for under Rs 800, which is a better use of that money than one larger bottle of a composition you have never worn. Wear each for a few days before you decide anything.
