Before anything else, a structural problem you have to know about, because most tiering plans die on it. The entire hanging car perfume range is ₹449 to ₹509. That is a sixty-rupee spread across all eight scents, which means you cannot build tiers out of scents - not because it is inelegant, but because sixty rupees is invisible to the recipient and impossible to explain internally. A real ladder has to change the object: from a hanging, to a set, to a 50ml spray, to the SOSA Safar diffuser at ₹3,999. That ladder exists, it has a genuine gap in it, and this page walks the whole thing honestly.
SOSA Safar waterless cordless car and travel perfume diffuser, Rs 3,999
SOSA Safar · waterless cordless car and travel diffuser ₹3,999 →
The only rung that is a genuinely different object rather than a larger bottle. SOSA Safar, ₹3,999, or ₹4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios - waterless, cordless, rechargeable cold diffusion, with no water tank and no cigarette socket. No runtime, battery life or coverage is published, so it belongs with a recipient somebody has spoken to rather than at the top of a spreadsheet.
Quick answers — read this first
Can you build car gifting tiers out of different fragrance scents? No. Every hanging car perfume sits between ₹449 and ₹509 - Jasmine ₹449 at the bottom and Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver ₹509 at the top. A sixty-rupee spread is not a tier; it is invisible to the recipient. Tiers have to change the object rather than the scent.

What does the real ladder look like? Hanging ₹449 to ₹509, then the Discovery Set of three sprays ₹699 to ₹899, then a two-scent combo ₹899 to ₹949. Then a gap with nothing published in it between ₹949 and ₹1,499. Then the 50ml spray ₹1,499, the pack of all nine sprays ₹2,999, and SOSA Safar ₹3,999, or ₹4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios.

How many tiers should a dealership actually run? Three is usually right and four is usually vanity. Each tier is a line somebody reorders, counts and matches to the correct car, and the fourth one rarely earns that. There is also a risk worth naming: a tier the customer can work out they are in is a tier that can be resented, so the levels should differ in object rather than in obvious ceremony.
The short answer
Short answer: You cannot tier on scent: the whole hanging range is Rs 449 to Rs 509, a Rs 60 spread. Tiers have to change the object. The published ladder runs hanging, Discovery Set Rs 699 to Rs 899, combo Rs 899 to Rs 949, a gap, 50ml spray Rs 1,499, and SOSA Safar Rs 3,999.
The pick: Three rungs: the mild hanging ₹449 to ₹509, a combo or Discovery Set ₹699 to ₹949, and SOSA Safar ₹3,999 for the handful at the top. Skip the fourth.
Why: The rungs are far enough apart to be real objects rather than price variations, they map onto three genuinely different gifting situations, and three lines is the most a handover process can carry without somebody having to think about it.
Sending something when somebody is having a hard time - at a glanceKeep it small - candle ₹399, attar ₹379, car scent ₹449For their home - reed diffuser ₹749, nothing to switch onSay the words yourself - no card goes in the parcelNever - a parcel instead of turning up
A gift cannot change how somebody's week went, and a page that suggests otherwise is not worth reading. What a small parcel does is tell a person you were thinking about them on a day when nothing made you - which is a real thing to say, and worth saying. Keep it small, because a large one asks somebody already short of energy to produce a reaction, and send the words separately, because the object cannot carry them.
Straight answer
How should hanging car perfumes, sprays and more premium fragrance products be divided across regular, premium and luxury-car gifting tiers?
Start with the constraint rather than the plan, because it changes the whole design. The hanging car perfume range is ₹449 to ₹509 - a sixty-rupee spread across eight scents - so there is no premium tier hiding inside the hanging format. Jasmine is ₹449, Sandalwood and Lavender ₹479, Icy Mint ₹489, Lemon ₹499, and Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver ₹509. Nobody collecting a car can tell those apart as levels, and neither can your own team. So the ladder has to be built from objects. The published one runs: hanging ₹449 to ₹509; the Car Perfume Sprays Discovery Set, three sprays, ₹699 to ₹899; a two-scent combo, ₹899 to ₹949; then a gap with nothing published in it between ₹949 and ₹1,499; then the 50ml spray at ₹1,499; the pack of all nine sprays at ₹2,999; and SOSA Safar at ₹3,999, or ₹4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios. Two pieces of advice you will not get from a catalogue. Three tiers is usually right and four is usually vanity - the fourth almost never survives the year. And a tier the recipient can work out they are in is a liability rather than a flourish, so the levels should differ in what the object is and not in how much ceremony surrounds it. SOSA publishes no bulk rate, no minimum order quantity and no slab; every figure here is retail, and quantities are settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531. Bulk orders are welcome. A portion of every SOSA order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Sixty rupees is not a tier. If the difference between your levels is which of eight scents somebody got, you have three names for one rung and everybody will eventually notice.
The honest three-rung version: hanging ₹449 to ₹509, Discovery Set or combo ₹699 to ₹949, SOSA Safar ₹3,999. Different objects, not different scents.
See the car fragrance range from ₹449

Why the tiers have to change the object, not the scent

Three things decide whether a tiered programme works, and the first one is the reason most tiering plans have to be redrawn once somebody looks at the actual price list.

1
The structural problem
There is no premium tier inside the hanging format
Look at the published list before you design anything on top of it. Jasmine ₹449, Sandalwood and Lavender ₹479, Icy Mint ₹489, Lemon ₹499, and Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver ₹509. Sixty rupees, top to bottom, across the whole range.

Against the price of a car that is a rounding error, and more to the point it is invisible. Nobody sitting in a new vehicle can tell whether the bottle on the mirror was the ₹449 one or the ₹509 one, and no member of your team can explain the distinction to a colleague without it sounding like an apology. Three levels built from Jasmine, Icy Mint and Oud are not a ladder. They are three names for the same rung.

It also pushes you towards the wrong scent for the wrong reason. Oud is not the top of the range because it is the dearest at ₹509; it is the most distinctive thing in the car range, which makes it the riskiest object to fit in a car belonging to somebody you never asked. Promoting it to your premium tier because of a thirty-rupee difference is how a tiering exercise quietly degrades the gift it was built to elevate. If you want tiers, change the object.
Tip: A sixty-rupee spread is a price list, not a hierarchy.
2
The real ladder
What the published range actually offers, gap included
Here is the whole thing in order, with nothing invented and nothing smoothed over.

Rung one - the hanging, ₹449 to ₹509. Eight scents, 12ml, mild scent-throw, and the same scent as a stronger spray costs exactly the same. This is the rung a volume programme is built on, and it is not a consolation prize: it is the object with the best structural argument behind it, because it is fitted rather than handed over.

Rung two - a set, ₹699 to ₹949. The Car Perfume Sprays Discovery Set is three sprays at ₹699 to ₹899 depending on the trio, and a two-scent combo is ₹899 or ₹949. Both are visibly more than one bottle, and the Discovery Set does something the hanging cannot: it hands the choice to the recipient.

Then the gap. Be aware of it rather than pretending otherwise: nothing is published between ₹949 and ₹1,499. If your middle tier has a budget of ₹1,200, there is no single car product sitting at that number, and you either round down to a combo or up to the 50ml. Do not let anyone design a ladder that assumes a smooth climb.

Rung three - ₹1,499 and above. A 50ml car perfume spray is ₹1,499. The pack of all nine sprays is ₹2,999, as is a two-spray 50ml combo. At the top, SOSA Safar is ₹3,999, or ₹4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios: a waterless, cordless, rechargeable cold-diffusion car and travel diffuser. It is a different category of object rather than a bigger bottle, which is exactly what a top rung should be. No runtime, battery life, coverage or refill frequency is published for it, so do not build a specification claim around it.
3
The design question
Three tiers, not four - and the risk nobody mentions
Every tier is a line somebody reorders, counts, and matches to the right car on a busy Saturday. Three of those is manageable. The fourth is almost always added because it looks complete on a slide, and it is the one that gets quietly merged by March. Three tiers is usually right and four is usually vanity.

The second point is the one most tiering plans never address. A tier the recipient can work out they are in is a risk rather than a flourish. If the difference between levels is visible ceremony, then somebody eventually learns that the car next to theirs came with the diffuser and theirs came with the bottle, and a gift has turned into a ranking. That is a worse outcome than having given everybody the same thing.

The protection is to make the rungs differ by object and situation rather than by grandeur. A hanging fitted during pre-delivery checks is not a lesser version of a diffuser; it is a different gesture, given a different way, in a different moment. The Safar at ₹3,999 makes sense where there is a conversation, a relationship and somebody who will actually charge it. Used as a visible reward for spending more, it stops being a gift.

Keep the top tier small and unannounced. A ladder nobody can see is doing its job.
Tip: Tiers should differ in what the object is, never in how much ceremony surrounds it.
SOSA Lemon hanging car perfume, 12ml, Rs 499
The decision this whole category turns on
Hanging or spray is a scent-throw choice, not a budget choice
Every SOSA car scent is sold in two formats at the same price: the hanging is the mild scent-throw, the spray is the stronger one. Jasmine is ₹449 either way, Lemon ₹499 either way, Oud ₹509 either way. So the question is never which one you can afford - it is who controls the dose. Hand a car to somebody whose taste you have never asked about and the mild hanging is the safer object, because a person who finds a sealed car too loud cannot turn a scent down, only take it out.
See the SOSA car fragrance range →
Work it out in this order
How to draw three car gifting tiers that survive the year
  1. Accept that scents cannot tier: the whole hanging range is Rs 449 to Rs 509.
  2. Rung one is the mild hanging, fitted before the customer arrives. Not a lesser gift.
  3. Rung two is a set: Discovery Set Rs 699 to Rs 899, or a combo Rs 899 to Rs 949.
  4. Rung three is SOSA Safar Rs 3,999. Keep it small, and stop at three rungs.
The SOSA principle
A tier is only real when the recipient would describe the two levels as different things rather than as more and less of the same thing. By that test, eight scents priced sixty rupees apart are one tier wearing eight hats.
It is also the test that tells you when to stop climbing. Once the rungs stop being different objects and start being bigger versions of the same object, you have reached the top of the useful ladder whatever the price list says.

Which scents belong at which rung, and which belong nowhere near a tier

Scent still matters inside a tier even though it cannot create one, and it matters differently at each rung. At rung one, where you are choosing for somebody nobody asked, stay at the quiet end: Icy Mint ₹489 and Lemon ₹499 are the least likely to be disliked by a recipient who did not choose them, with Sandalwood ₹479 as the one that reads considered. At rung two, the logic inverts: the Discovery Set at ₹699 to ₹899 exists precisely so you do not have to choose, and a combo like Sandalwood & Oud at ₹949 or Jasmine & Lavender at ₹899 gives two rather than betting on one. At rung three, where there is usually a real conversation, the distinctive scents finally make sense - Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver at ₹509 as sprays, or the Safar trios. Mysore Orange Blossom at ₹549 sits slightly outside all of this: it is a 10ml spray with no hanging format, and it is the only car product publishing duration figures.

The SOSA gift edit
The four rungs the published range actually supports
The option Who it suits, and where it fails
Hanging car perfume · ₹449 to ₹509 The volume rung, and the one with the strongest argument behind it: fitted during pre-delivery checks, so it is working before the customer sits down and nothing is handed over loose. It fails if you try to grade it internally, because the sixty-rupee spread across eight scents is invisible to everybody except the person doing the arithmetic.
Discovery Set or two-scent combo · ₹699 to ₹949 The honest middle. Visibly more than one bottle, and the Discovery Set hands the choice to the recipient rather than asking you to guess. It fails as a handover default because it is a set to be opened and used later, which is a different gesture from something already hanging on the mirror.
50ml spray or the pack of nine · ₹1,499 to ₹2,999 Where the ladder resumes after the gap, and where a fragrance gift starts reading as a considered object rather than a courtesy. It fails on two counts worth knowing: the 15ml refill fits the hanging bottle and not the spray, and a strong spray in the hands of somebody with no preference is the wrong way round.
SOSA Safar · ₹3,999, or ₹4,499 for hotel-inspired trios A waterless, cordless, rechargeable cold-diffusion car and travel diffuser, and a genuinely different category rather than a bigger bottle. It fails when handed to somebody who will not charge it, and it fails as a visible reward: no runtime, battery life or coverage is published, so it needs a recipient rather than a spreadsheet.
SOSA car hanging freshener refills, 15ml, from Rs 399
What happens after the gift
The 15ml refill is bigger than the 12ml bottle and costs less than a new unit
Refills run ₹399 for Lemon and Jasmine, ₹429 for Sandalwood, Lavender and Icy Mint, and ₹449 for Sea Breeze, Vetiver and Oud - against ₹449 to ₹509 for the unit itself. This matters for one honest reason and not the flattering one: a gift that can be continued without being sold to is a different object from a gift that simply runs out. Whether anybody continues it is up to them, and no supplier can promise you they will.
See the 15ml refills →

Two practical notes before somebody writes the tiers down. First, the format choice is free at every rung, because the mild hanging and the stronger spray of the same scent cost exactly the same - ₹449 either way for Jasmine, ₹509 either way for Oud. So the hanging is not the cheap version of the spray, and nobody should present it that way internally. Second, the continuation path is not symmetrical: 15ml refills at ₹399 to ₹449 fit the hanging bottle rather than the spray, so a hanging at rung one has somewhere to go afterwards and a spray at rung three does not. That is a genuinely odd shape for a ladder, and it is worth knowing before you promise anybody that the upper tiers are strictly better. On the commercial side there is nothing more to add here: no bulk rate, no minimum order quantity, no slab and no lead time is published for any rung. All of that goes to WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531.

from ₹699
When one particular car is not part of the programme
SOSA Safar ₹3,999 for a car, SOSA Vaayu ₹11,999 for the building it is parked at
Safar is the waterless, cordless, rechargeable cold-diffusion perfume diffuser for a car or a travel bag - ₹3,999 for the SOSA-scent trios and ₹4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios. It is not a volume gift and should not be described as one; it is what a business reaches for when a single handover genuinely warrants it. Vaayu is the same waterless idea sized for a building: cold-air nebulising of undiluted oil, rated for approximately 1000 m3 of connected air, with a Bluetooth app and timer, a 400ml tank, freestanding or wall and HVAC mounting, DC 12V / 1A 5W mains power and CE, RoHS and SGS marks - which makes it a showroom or workshop question rather than a gifting one. Both run waterless nebuliser oil at ₹1,049 for 100 gm and ₹1,849 for 300 gm, and neither takes the ₹299 water-based Hotel Collection bottle. No runtime, battery life or coverage figure is published for Safar. Both add a scent to a space; neither removes one.

The most expensive mistake in tiered gifting is not spending too much at the top. It is making the bottom tier feel like the bottom tier, which costs you far more than the difference you saved.

The SOSA gifting range

Two questions settle almost every reed diffuser gift, and the first one is not price. How big is the room it is going into? A 50ml suits a bedroom, a study, a hallway or a first diffuser; a 130ml suits an open-plan living and dining area, and it is genuinely too much for a small closed bedroom. Then: how much do you actually know about their taste? The less you know, the less declarative the scent should be - Morning Freshness is the safest of the five for a home you have never stood in, and Fresh Brew coffee-vanilla is the strongest opinion in the range. Price follows those two answers rather than leading them.

Choose the format on scent-throw first, because it does not change the price
Product What it is What it suits Price
SOSA hanging car perfumes Eight scents, 12ml, mild scent-throw Hangs from the mirror and is already working when the recipient first sits down - nothing to unwrap, install or learn from ₹449
SOSA car perfume sprays The same scents, stronger throw Exactly the same price as the hanging, so the choice between them is scent-throw and not budget - the recipient doses it themselves from ₹449
Car hanging freshener refills 15ml, eight scents Larger than the 12ml bottle it refills and cheaper than buying the unit again, so a gifted hanging has somewhere to go afterwards ₹399 to ₹449
SOSA car perfume combos Two scents in one box Jasmine & Lemon and Jasmine & Lavender ₹899, Oud + Lemon and Sandalwood & Oud ₹949 - hanging or spray at the same price from ₹899
Car Perfume Sprays Discovery Set Three sprays in one set ₹699 to ₹899 depending on the trio, or all nine sprays at ₹2,999 - the one to send when nobody can ask about taste from ₹699
SOSA Safar Waterless cordless car diffuser The top tier, for the one buyer a whole programme is not built around - rechargeable cold diffusion, no water and no cigarette socket ₹3,999
SOSA attars Alcohol-free roll-on oil Worn rather than driven, and a taste decision - only when somebody can name what the recipient already wears from ₹379

Every price above is the published retail price on the live SOSA product page, which is what any business should build its own arithmetic on. SOSA does not publish a bulk rate, a minimum order quantity, a slab, a dispatch window or any commercial term, and nothing on this page should be read as one. Bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available; quantities and everything commercial are settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 rather than priced on a page. SOSA is an Indian fragrance house based in Pune and sends orders across India. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

The honest price sheet
What SOSA publishes, and what SOSA does not
Everything below is on the live product pages. Anything not on this list is not something a page like this should state.
  • Hanging car perfumes, 12ml - Jasmine ₹449, Sandalwood and Lavender ₹479, Icy Mint ₹489, Lemon ₹499, Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver ₹509. Eight scents in the hanging format.
  • The same scents as sprays, at the same price. Hanging is the mild scent-throw, spray is the stronger one, and they cost the same - so the choice is about who controls the dose, not about money. Mysore Orange Blossom ₹549 is a spray only and has no hanging format.
  • Refills, 15ml - ₹399 for Lemon and Jasmine, ₹429 for Sandalwood, Lavender and Icy Mint, ₹449 for Sea Breeze, Vetiver and Oud. Larger than the 12ml bottle, and cheaper than buying a new unit.
  • Combos and sets - two-scent combos ₹899 to ₹949, the Discovery Set of three sprays ₹699 to ₹899, all nine sprays ₹2,999, and 50ml sprays ₹1,499. SOSA Safar ₹3,999, or ₹4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios.
  • Duration - the only car product publishing a figure is Mysore Orange Blossom: 10ml is about 100 sprays lasting about 3 months, 50ml is about 500 sprays lasting about a year or more. Those numbers belong to that spray and to nothing else. No duration is published for the hanging format.
  • Not published, and therefore never stated here: any bulk rate, minimum order quantity, slab or volume discount; any dispatch, delivery or cut-off timing; any payment, invoicing or credit term; case packs, carton sizes or unit weights; any claim that a gift will change a customer's behaviour, a survey score or a repeat rate; and any claim that a fragrance removes, neutralises or purifies anything. Those go to WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.

A note from Sonal

The businesses that write to SOSA about car fragrance almost never open with a question about fragrance. They open with a question about a drawer. Somebody ordered five hundred of something last year, and most of it is still sitting in a drawer at the back of the showroom, and nobody wants to repeat that.

What makes a car product different from the keychain and the diary is not that it is nicer. It is that there is nowhere to put it away. A hanging perfume is hanging. It is not in a bag to be taken home and forgotten; it is in the one enclosed space the person is going to sit in tomorrow morning. That is an argument about geometry rather than about generosity, and it is the only argument for this category I am willing to make.

The thing I would push back on hardest is the instinct to buy the strongest one. When you are choosing on somebody else's behalf, and you will never meet most of them, the mild hanging is the correct choice and it costs exactly the same as the spray. A person who finds a scent too loud in a sealed car cannot turn it down; they can only take it out. Quiet is what lets a gift survive contact with a stranger's taste.

And the part I will not pretend about: I cannot tell you this will bring anyone back. No fragrance house can honestly tell a business what a gift will do to its numbers. What I can tell you is what the product is, what it costs, and what happens when somebody likes it enough to buy the refill themselves - which is the only loyalty any of us actually earns.

Frequently asked questions

Can we build gifting tiers out of different car perfume scents?
No. The entire hanging range is Rs 449 to Rs 509, a sixty-rupee spread across eight scents, and that difference is invisible to the recipient and hard to explain internally. Real tiers have to change the object rather than the scent, moving from a single hanging to a set, then to a 50ml spray or the SOSA Safar diffuser.
What does the published ladder look like from lowest to highest?
Hanging car perfumes Rs 449 to Rs 509, the Discovery Set of three sprays Rs 699 to Rs 899, a two-scent combo Rs 899 to Rs 949, then nothing published between Rs 949 and Rs 1,499, then a 50ml spray at Rs 1,499, the pack of all nine sprays at Rs 2,999, and SOSA Safar at Rs 3,999 or Rs 4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios.
Is there anything between Rs 949 and Rs 1,499?
Not in the car range. That is a real gap in the published list and this page will not paper over it. A middle tier budgeted around Rs 1,200 has to round down to a two-scent combo or up to a 50ml spray, so design the rungs around what exists rather than assuming a smooth climb.
How many tiers should we actually run?
Three is usually right and four is usually vanity. Each tier is a separate line to reorder, count and match to the correct car, and the fourth rarely survives a year. There is also a risk worth naming: a recipient who can work out which tier they are in has been ranked rather than given something, so keep the levels different in object rather than in ceremony.
Is the SOSA Safar worth it as a top tier?
It is a genuinely different category rather than a larger bottle: a waterless, cordless, rechargeable cold-diffusion car and travel diffuser at Rs 3,999, or Rs 4,499 for the hotel-inspired trios. No runtime, battery life, coverage or refill frequency is published, so do not build a specification claim on it. It suits a recipient somebody has actually spoken to, and not a reward for spending more.

About commercial terms: the prices above are published retail prices. SOSA does not publish a bulk rate, a minimum order quantity, a volume slab or discount, a dispatch or delivery window, an order cut-off, a payment or credit term, a rate card, a case pack, a carton size or a unit weight, and none is stated anywhere on this page; bulk orders are welcome and are discussed on WhatsApp. The only branding available is a custom label or logo on product - there is no custom box, printed sleeve, insert card, gift wrap or hamper service. There is no dealer, partner or reseller programme. About SOSA's location: SOSA Home & Body is an Indian fragrance house based in Pune, Maharashtra, and sends orders across India. SOSA has no shop, showroom, stockist, counter or warehouse in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mysuru or any other city, and nothing on this page should be read as claiming one; where a city is named, it refers to the businesses and the cars in that city and nothing more. Limits of this guide: fragrance adds a scent and does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify odour, and no SOSA product makes any health, antibacterial, air-purifying or wellbeing claim, nor any claim about being suitable for children, pets or any medical condition. No claim is made anywhere on this page about what a gift will do to a business result - not to a satisfaction or survey score, not to repeat business, referrals, reviews, retention or recall. Those outcomes depend on the business and not on a fragrance, and no fragrance house can honestly promise them. No claim is made about how any recipient will feel. No duration is published or implied for the hanging format. Prices and availability are subject to change - see the live product pages.
