Can one Vaayu cover 4,000 sq ft? No, and we will not claim it can. One Vaayu covers up to about 1000m3 (roughly 2000 to 3000 sq ft), so a 4,000 sq ft floor is past its range. Use two Vaayu zoned across the home, or the larger Angaan sized to a bigger volume of air.
Should I buy the Angaan or two Vaayu for 4,000 sq ft? Both work. Two Vaayu (Rs 11,999 each) let you place a unit in each zone and control them separately, which suits a floor split into wings. The Angaan (Rs 25,999) is one machine sized to a much larger volume, which suits a very open or soaring 4,000 sq ft. A consultation helps you choose.
Shop Vaayu ₹11,999
Facts verified August 2026 (SOSA Vaayu product page): The Vaayu is a waterless cold-air diffuser priced at ₹11,999, and each machine ships with four SOSA Hotel Collection fragrance oils of 100ml each (400ml total, about one full tank). It atomises alcohol-free, water-free fragrance oil into a dry nano-mist covering up to 1000m3 (about 2000 to 3000 sq ft), with a 400ml tank that lasts up to about 75 days depending on the intensity setting and daily run hours, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, Bluetooth app control and under-38dB operation. Fragrance is sized to the volume of air, not just the floor area, so a very large, double-height or duplex penthouse may need more than one machine or the larger Angaan (₹25,999, ~8,000-10,000 sq ft) or Meenar (₹38,500, ~12,000-18,000 sq ft); scent does not travel up a staircase between floors on its own. A signature scent enhances a clean, well-ventilated home and works alongside good ventilation; it does not remove a musty or closed-up smell, and SOSA makes no medical or air-purification claims. The hotel-inspired scents are SOSA's own original interpretations; SOSA is independent and not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any hotel named for reference. Prices and availability are subject to change - see the live product pages.
Four thousand square feet is the size where an honest brand has to say it plainly: this is beyond what one machine can carry. A 4,000 sq ft penthouse is scented properly by two cold-air units placed in different zones, or by stepping up to a larger machine sized to that volume of air.
Quick answers — read this first
What is the best scent machine for a 4,000 sq ft penthouse? A 4,000 sq ft penthouse is beyond a single Vaayu's range of up to about 1000m3 (roughly 2000 to 3000 sq ft). The honest answer is two SOSA Vaayu units (Rs 11,999 each) placed in different zones, or a step up to the larger SOSA Angaan (Rs 25,999, about 8,000 to 10,000 sq ft). One Vaayu alone would leave the far half of a 4,000 sq ft floor faint. Made in India. Can one Vaayu cover 4,000 sq ft? No, and we will not claim it can. The short answer
Short answer: a 4,000 sq ft penthouse is beyond one Vaayu's up-to-1000m3 (about 2000-3000 sq ft) range - scent it with two SOSA Vaayu units (Rs 11,999 each) placed in different zones, or step up to the larger Angaan (Rs 25,999). We will not claim one Vaayu covers 4,000 sq ft.
The pick: one SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) for an open-plan penthouse up to ~2000-3000 sq ft (1000m3), with a hotel-inspired signature scent; two Vaayu or the Angaan (₹25,999) for a soaring, 4000+ sq ft or duplex home.
Next step: shop the SOSA Vaayu, or book a quick consultation to size a large or duplex penthouse.

Scenting a penthouse well is two decisions: one signature fragrance, and a machine sized to the space. A single SOSA Vaayu cold-air diffuser fills an open-plan penthouse of up to about 1000m3 (roughly 2000-3000 sq ft) with a clean, hotel-inspired scent, on a timer. A very large, double-height or duplex penthouse is sized to its zones - two Vaayu, or a step up to the larger Angaan - because fragrance is about the volume of air, and it does not travel up a staircase on its own. When in doubt, a quick consultation sizes it for you.

What is the best scent machine for a 4,000 sq ft penthouse?
Honestly, a 4,000 sq ft penthouse is beyond one machine. A single SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) covers up to about 1000m3 (roughly 2000-3000 sq ft), so a 4,000 sq ft floor is past its range - one unit alone would leave the far half faint. The two honest answers are: two Vaayu units placed in different zones (one clean hotel-inspired signature scent in each, controlled separately), or a step up to the larger Angaan (₹25,999, about 8,000-10,000 sq ft) as a single machine sized to a bigger volume of air. Two Vaayu suit a floor split into wings; the Angaan suits a very open or soaring 4,000 sq ft. We will not claim one Vaayu does 4,000 sq ft - a quick consultation sizes it right.
A 4,000 sq ft penthouse is beyond one Vaayu - scent it with two Vaayu placed in different zones, or step up to the larger Angaan. We will not claim one unit covers 4,000 sq ft.
For most penthouses the answer is one SOSA Vaayu - a waterless cold-air diffuser that carries a clean, hotel-inspired signature scent across an open-plan home of up to about 2000-3000 sq ft, on a timer, from one discreet machine. A very large, double-height or duplex penthouse is simply sized up - two Vaayu, or the larger Angaan. It ships with four hotel-inspired oils, so you can find your signature from day one.

Why a 4,000 sq ft penthouse is beyond one machine - and what actually works
Four thousand square feet is where the honest brands and the over-promising ones part ways. One Vaayu covers up to about 2000-3000 sq ft, so 4,000 sq ft genuinely needs more. Here is exactly what works, and why we say so plainly.
1
Past one machine
4,000 is beyond one Vaayu
One Vaayu carries up to about 1000m3, roughly 2000-3000 sq ft. A 4,000 sq ft floor is clearly past that, so a single unit would scent the near half well and leave the far end faint. Being honest about this is the whole point of sizing to volume of air.
Tip: one Vaayu is up to ~2000-3000 sq ft; 4,000 sq ft honestly needs more than one machine.
2
Two Vaayu, zoned
A unit in each zone
The simplest fix is two Vaayu (Rs 11,999 each) placed in different zones of the floor, each running the same signature scent so the home reads as one. This suits a 4,000 sq ft plan split into wings, and lets you time or dial each zone separately.
3
Or step up
The Angaan for one bigger machine
For a very open or soaring 4,000 sq ft, one larger machine can be cleaner than two. The Angaan (Rs 25,999) is sized to about 8,000-10,000 sq ft, so it carries a 4,000 sq ft volume comfortably from a single, well-placed unit.
Tip: a very open or soaring 4,000 sq ft is often cleanest with one larger Angaan.
The SOSA principle
Four thousand square feet is the exact size where a fragrance brand shows its character - by admitting one small machine cannot do it, and sizing the space honestly instead.
Two Vaayu zoned across the floor, or one larger Angaan for a soaring volume - either is right, and either beats a single unit quietly failing at the far wall.
Sizing a 4,000 sq ft penthouse honestly
Sizing 4,000 sq ft is about matching the volume of air to the right number and size of machines. Here is how it maps.
The SOSA scent edit
What a 4,000 sq ft penthouse actually needs
| Scent | Why it suits the mood |
|---|---|
| 4,000 sq ft split into wings | Two SOSA Vaayu (Rs 11,999 each), one per zone - same signature scent, controlled separately. |
| 4,000 sq ft, very open or soaring | One SOSA Angaan (Rs 25,999) - a single larger machine sized to a much bigger volume of air. |
| 4,000 sq ft with a far, closed room | Two Vaayu for the main zones, plus a Sukoon (Rs 1,899) for a single sealed bedroom or study. |
The rule that keeps this honest is simple: fragrance is about the volume of air, not the floor area, so 4,000 sq ft moves past one Vaayu and into either two units zoned across the home or the larger Angaan (₹25,999). For an even bigger, multi-floor residence the Meenar (₹38,500, about 12,000-18,000 sq ft) is the commercial-grade step. A single sealed room takes a compact Sukoon (₹1,899). The one thing we will never do is tell you a single Vaayu covers 4,000 sq ft - a quick consultation gets the count and placement exactly right.
The invisible finishing touch
One SOSA Vaayu gives a penthouse a clean, five-star signature scent across the whole open floor - ₹11,999, app & timer, ships with four hotel-inspired oils. Larger machines for a soaring or duplex home.
The most trustworthy thing a fragrance brand can say about a 4,000 sq ft home is that one small machine will not do it - and here is what honestly will.

A scent works alongside good ventilation, and the simplest way to size a large or duplex home is a quick consultation. Here is the full edit.

One signature scent, the right machine for your space - a Vaayu for an open penthouse, more for a soaring or duplex home
| Machine | Best for | Why it works | From |

|
An open-plan penthouse up to ~2000-3000 sq ft (1000m3) | Waterless cold-air machine with app & timer - one machine for the whole open floor | ₹11,999 |
 Hotel Collection oil
|
The signature scent itself (for the Vaayu) | Hotel-inspired, water-based oils - a clean, five-star signature; the Vaayu ships with four | ₹299 |
 SOSA Angaan
|
A soaring double-height or 4000+ sq ft penthouse | HVAC nebulising diffuser for a very large volume of air | ₹25,999 |
 SOSA Sukoon
|
A single closed bedroom, study or dressing room | Ultrasonic cool-mist diffuser for one small room off the main floor | ₹1,899 |
 SOSA Meenar
|
A very large multi-floor residence (12,000-18,000 sq ft) | Commercial HVAC scenting for the biggest homes | ₹38,500 |
How to size it: fragrance is about the volume of air, not just floor area. One Vaayu fills an open-plan penthouse of up to about 1000m3 (roughly 2000-3000 sq ft). A 4000 sq ft or very open penthouse wants two Vaayu placed in different zones, or a step up to the Angaan. A double-height living room holds far more air than its floor suggests, so place the machine well and consider the Angaan for a soaring volume. A duplex needs one machine per floor - scent does not climb a staircase on its own. Keep one signature fragrance throughout, and if you are unsure, a quick consultation sizes it. One honest note: a scent makes a beautiful, well-aired home feel five-star; it works alongside good ventilation and does not mask a closed-up or musty smell.

A note from Sonal
A penthouse is designed down to the last detail - the light, the materials, the view - and then most people leave the one sense that triggers memory most strongly entirely to chance. Scent is the finishing touch that makes a home feel as considered as it looks. Done well, a penthouse greets you and your guests with a clean, quietly luxurious signature the moment the lift doors open.
The mistake I see is scattering reed diffusers on every table, which clutters beautiful interiors and still leaves the space smelling uneven. A single Vaayu cold-air diffuser does the opposite: one signature scent, carried evenly across an open-plan penthouse of up to about 2000-3000 sq ft, from one discreet machine on a timer. It is the invisible finishing touch.
My only rule is to size it to the space honestly. A very large, double-height or duplex penthouse holds more air than its floor plan suggests, so it is two machines or a larger one, not one working too hard. And a scent enhances a clean, well-aired home - it is a luxury, not a cover-up. Everything is made in India, and for a big or duplex penthouse a quick consultation gets the sizing exactly right.
Frequently asked questions
Can one Vaayu cover a 4,000 sq ft penthouse?
No, and we will not claim it can. One Vaayu covers up to about 1000m3 (roughly 2000 to 3000 sq ft), so a 4,000 sq ft floor is past its range - a single unit would scent the near half and leave the far end faint. Use two Vaayu zoned, or the larger Angaan.
What is the best scent machine for a 4,000 sq ft penthouse?
Two SOSA Vaayu units (Rs 11,999 each) placed in different zones, each running the same signature scent, or a step up to the larger SOSA Angaan (Rs 25,999, about 8,000 to 10,000 sq ft) as a single machine sized to a bigger volume of air.
Should I choose two Vaayu or one Angaan for 4,000 sq ft?
Two Vaayu suit a floor split into wings, letting you place and time a unit in each zone. The Angaan is one larger machine that suits a very open or soaring 4,000 sq ft. Both are honest fits; a quick consultation helps you decide by your layout.
Why do you not just say one machine covers 4,000 sq ft?
Because it would not be true, and fragrance depends on the volume of air. Honest sizing is why the scent actually lands evenly. One Vaayu is up to about 2000 to 3000 sq ft; 4,000 sq ft needs two units or a larger machine, and we say so plainly.
Do the machines all use the same fragrance?
Yes. Whether you run two Vaayu or one Angaan, you keep one SOSA Hotel Collection signature scent throughout so a 4,000 sq ft home reads as one space. Each Vaayu ships with four hotel-inspired oils to choose your signature from.
