Founder's note: why I built this Recreation

The first time I smelled Oud for Greatness was in a small Parisian boutique in 2018, the year before I finished ISIPCA. I remember standing in front of the bottle and thinking: this is what happens when a perfumer is given infinite ingredients and infinite confidence. The blue lavender felt almost cold, and then the oud rolled in slow and smoky, and I understood why people pay niche-luxury prices for niche-luxury work.

I also remember the second time I wore it. It was July in Pune, 38°C, 75% humidity, and by the time I reached my studio the lavender-oud had flattened into a smoky monotone.
