Start with the sentence that the rest of the protocol hangs off, because getting it in the wrong order is how operators go wrong. Fragrance adds a scent to a cabin. It does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify an odour, it does not clean the air, and it is never a substitute for cleaning a vehicle. A cabin that smells of something has a cleaning problem, and spraying into it is how an operator ends up with two smells instead of one. Everything below assumes the cleaning happened first. Without that, there is no protocol here worth writing.
SOSA Safar waterless cordless car diffuser, Rs 3,999
SOSA Safar · three speeds · 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off ₹3,999 →
The one product in the range with an ending built into it. SOSA Safar, ₹3,999 - waterless, cordless, about 6.9 cm, three speeds, a 2000 mAh Type-C battery giving up to 10 hours continuous or 30 hours intermittent per charge, and a published 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off. Country of origin China. The 12ml car perfumes at ₹449 to ₹509 do the same job by being an event that finishes on its own.
Quick answers — read this first
How should a chauffeur or fleet operator build a cabin fragrance protocol? In three parts, in this sequence: cleaning, restraint, timing. Fragrance does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify a smell and it does not clean the air, so the fragrance step always follows the cleaning step. SOSA car perfume is ₹449 to ₹509 at 12ml, published as Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw) at the same price.

How strong should a cabin fragrance be? The only strength guidance published is the two variant names themselves - Strong scent-throw for the spray and Mild scent-throw for the hanging bottle. Beyond that there is no published dosage and no coverage figure for a car interior. The protocol is one you write and test, not one anybody supplies you with. Start below what feels generous.

Is there a product that makes cabin scent stop on its own? SOSA Safar at ₹3,999 is the one with an ending built in: a waterless cordless diffuser of about 6.9 cm with three speeds, a 2000 mAh Type-C battery giving up to 10 hours continuous or 30 hours intermittent per charge, and a published 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off. Its country of origin is China.
The short answer
Short answer: Three parts in sequence: clean the cabin, keep the amount restrained, and give the scent an end. Fragrance adds a scent; it does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify an odour and it never replaces cleaning. SOSA car perfume is Rs 449 to Rs 509 at 12ml and Safar is Rs 3,999.
The pick: The spray at ₹449 to ₹509 applied after cleaning, or SOSA Safar at ₹3,999 where a driver wants a scent with a 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off built into it.
Why: A protocol needs three things a fixture cannot give it: a position after cleaning, an amount somebody chose, and an end. Both of those products have all three.
Sending something when somebody is having a hard time - at a glanceKeep it small - candle ₹399, attar ₹379, car scent ₹449For their home - reed diffuser ₹749, nothing to switch onSay the words yourself - no card goes in the parcelNever - a parcel instead of turning up
A gift cannot change how somebody's week went, and a page that suggests otherwise is not worth reading. What a small parcel does is tell a person you were thinking about them on a day when nothing made you - which is a real thing to say, and worth saying. Keep it small, because a large one asks somebody already short of energy to produce a reaction, and send the words separately, because the object cannot carry them.
Straight answer
How should a chauffeur or corporate-fleet operator build a cabin-fragrance protocol without making it too strong or using it to cover cleanliness problems?
Write it in three parts and put them in this sequence: cleaning, restraint, timing. Part one is not negotiable. Fragrance adds a scent to a cabin. It does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify an odour, it does not clean the air, and it is never a substitute for cleaning a vehicle. If a cabin smells of anything, that is a cleaning job, and applying fragrance to it leaves the vehicle carrying two scents instead of one. The fragrance step belongs after the cleaning step and only after it, and a protocol that does not say so in its first line will drift within a month. Part two is restraint, and here is the honest limit of what is published. The only strength guidance SOSA gives is in the variant names themselves - the store calls one Spray (Strong scent-throw) and the other Hanging (Mild scent-throw). Beyond that, no dosage is published and no coverage figure for a car interior is published. So the amount is a protocol you write and test in your own vehicles rather than one SOSA supplies. Part three is timing, and this is where the form choice earns its place. A spray is an event with an end: applied at a chosen moment, finished by itself. SOSA Safar at ₹3,999 is the same idea with a switch - a waterless cordless diffuser of about 6.9 cm, three speeds, a 2000 mAh Type-C battery giving up to 10 hours continuous or 30 hours intermittent per charge, and a published 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off, which is exactly what makes it a per-journey device. Its country of origin is China. Underneath all three parts sits the real argument for restraint: your passengers did not choose this scent and cannot leave the vehicle. SOSA car perfume is ₹449 to ₹509 at 12ml, both forms the same price, alcohol-free, oil and water based, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India. What is not published: no dosage, no coverage figure for a car, no life for a 12ml bottle in either form, and no bulk rate, minimum quantity or per-unit cost anywhere. Quantities are settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531. A portion of every SOSA order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
A protocol that begins with the fragrance is not a protocol, it is a shortcut. The first line has to be about cleaning, because a scent added to a cabin that needed cleaning has made the vehicle worse rather than better.
The two products this page uses: the spray, ₹449 to ₹509 applied after cleaning, and SOSA Safar at ₹3,999 where a driver wants a 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off doing the stopping.

Three parts of a protocol, and the published facts each one can rest on

Three parts, written in the order they have to be applied, with the published facts each one can honestly rest on and the blanks each one has to work around.

1
Part one
Cleaning first, always - and fragrance never instead of it
The first line of the protocol is a boundary, not a step. Fragrance adds a scent to a cabin. It does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify an odour, it does not clean the air, and it is never a substitute for cleaning a vehicle.

That has a very practical consequence at the level of a duty sheet. A cabin that smells of something is a cleaning problem and it has a cleaning answer. Applying fragrance to it does not cancel anything; it puts a second scent into a small sealed space alongside the first, and everybody who gets in can tell that is what happened. Two smells is a worse result than one, and it is the specific failure this part of the protocol exists to prevent.

The way it goes wrong is never a decision. It is a schedule. A vehicle comes back late, the interior gets a fraction of the time it needed, and the fragrance step is the only item on the list that can still be done in ten seconds. The quickest step is the one that survives when the list is cut, which is the opposite of what should happen.

So write the dependency into the sheet rather than trusting the intention: if the interior was not cleaned, the fragrance is not applied. An unscented clean cabin is a good cabin. An unscented cabin that needed cleaning is at least honest about it, and somebody will fix it. A scented one hides the signal from the only person who could.

None of this makes fragrance pointless. It makes it the last step - which is exactly where it does the thing it can actually do.
Tip: If the interior was not cleaned, the fragrance step does not happen either. Write that dependency down.
2
Part two
Restraint, and why the strength guidance you want does not exist
Here is the complete published guidance on strength, and it is two words each. The store calls one variant Spray (Strong scent-throw) and the other Hanging (Mild scent-throw). That is the whole of it.

Beyond those names, no dosage is published, no number of applications for a cabin is published, and no coverage figure for a car interior is published at any size of vehicle. There is also no published life for a 12ml bottle in either form, for any scent. The only product publishing anything of the kind is Mysore Orange Blossom, a spray only, at about 100 sprays in the 10ml (₹549) and about 500 sprays in the 50ml (₹1,499) - figures that belong to that product and cannot be carried to any other scent.

So the amount in your protocol is one you write and test, not one SOSA supplies, and that is worth saying to whoever signs it off so nobody goes looking for a manufacturer's number that does not exist. The test itself is simple: one vehicle, one colleague in the back with the doors shut for the length of a normal journey, an honest answer afterwards, and then one step down from whatever felt right - because the person applying it is standing outside the car and the person living with it is not.

Two things push the amount down further. A cabin is a small sealed volume compared with any room, so less goes further than instinct suggests. And a cabin is warm, which is not a claim about the product but an observation about where it is being used.

And hold the boundary here as well, because this is where it erodes. A stronger application does not remove, neutralise or cancel a smell - it only adds more of a second one.
3
Part three
Timing, consent, and the complete list of what is not published
A spray is an event with an end. It is applied at a moment somebody chose and it finishes on its own, which is what lets it sit at a defined point in a sequence - after the cleaning, a few minutes before the passenger, with the doors open for part of that so it has settled rather than being at its sharpest as somebody gets in.

SOSA Safar at ₹3,999 is the same principle with a switch on it. It is a waterless cordless portable diffuser of about 6.9 cm with three speeds, a 2000 mAh Type-C battery giving up to 10 hours continuous or 30 hours intermittent per charge, and a published 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off. That shut-off is the whole reason it belongs on a page about protocol: the scent has a defined end that does not depend on anybody remembering. Its country of origin is China. It is also roughly eight times a 12ml spray, so it is a per-vehicle decision rather than a fleet-wide one.

Now the argument that should govern the whole protocol. Your passengers did not choose this scent, they are in a small sealed space, and they cannot leave it for the length of the journey. That is the real case for restraint, and it is also the real case for the on-demand form: a scent somebody applied for one journey can be left out of the next, and a fixture cannot.

And here is everything the protocol has to work around, in one place. There is no published dosage. There is no published coverage figure for a car. There is no published life for a 12ml bottle in either form. There is no bulk rate, no minimum quantity and no per-unit cost anywhere, and no formal trade or partner programme. Bulk orders are welcome and quantities are settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531. Branding is exactly one thing: custom label or logo on product. There is no custom box, no printed sleeve and no insert card. There is no carton, no ribbon and no message card.

And the last one, which matters most on a page like this: SOSA publishes no data of any kind about what a scented cabin does to a passenger, how they feel or what they do next. No page should be telling you otherwise.
Tip: Give the scent an end. A spray ends by itself; Safar ends on a 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off.
SOSA Mysore Orange Blossom car perfume spray, Rs 549
The two variants, and why the price is not the question
Spray or Hanging - same product, same price, different control
The store publishes both forms of every 12ml scent and names them plainly: Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw). They cost the same - ₹449 for Jasmine up to ₹509 for Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver. So the decision is about two other things. Who decides when the scent happens: a spray sits in a glovebox until somebody picks it up; a hanging bottle works from the moment it goes in. And what stays visible: the hanging bottle hangs where the owner sees it, the spray does not. When the car belongs to your customer, those two usually settle it. Only Mysore Orange Blossom publishes a life: about 100 sprays at 10ml, about 500 at 50ml. No 12ml bottle publishes one, in either form.

Work it out in this order
Writing the protocol, in the order the parts have to be applied
  1. Line one: clean the cabin. Fragrance is added after it and never in place of it.
  2. Make the fragrance step conditional. No cleaning done means no fragrance applied.
  3. Test the amount with a colleague in the back, then set it one step lower.
  4. Give the scent an end. A spray finishes itself; Safar has a 1 to 3-hour shut-off.
The SOSA principle
The published strength guidance is four words long: Strong scent-throw and Mild scent-throw. Everything else about how much to apply is a protocol you write and test in your own vehicles, and any page that hands you a number has invented it.
That is not a gap to be embarrassed about. It is the honest shape of the problem, and it puts the decision with the operator who can actually sit in the back seat and check.

What to put in the protocol, and the complete list of what is not published

For a protocol applied to people who did not choose the scent, the selection narrows to the quietest end of the range. Jasmine at ₹449 is soft and floral and the least declarative of the eight. Lemon at ₹499 is bright and clean and reads as tidy rather than perfumed, which is often exactly what a cabin protocol wants. Sea Breeze at ₹509 is open and cool. Sandalwood at ₹479 is the warm middle and the most considered of the safe options. Oud at ₹509, Icy Mint at ₹489, Vetiver at ₹509 and Lavender at ₹479 all carry more character, which is an asset when a passenger asks by name and a risk when the protocol applies it by default. All are alcohol-free, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India. Whichever you choose, the protocol matters more than the scent: a restrained application of a strong scent beats a heavy application of a mild one.

The SOSA gift edit
Four ways to run cabin scent, and where each one breaks
The option Who it suits, and where it fails
The spray, after cleaning · ₹449 to ₹509 An event with a defined position and a natural end, invisible from the rear seat, and easy to leave out of a journey that should not have it. It fails when nobody writes the sequence down, because the bottle cannot enforce anything.
The hanging bottle · the same ₹449 to ₹509 Nothing for a driver to remember and a 15ml refill behind it. It fails the timing part of the protocol outright: it has no end, so it cannot be scheduled, skipped for one passenger or turned down for one journey.
SOSA Safar · ₹3,999 Three speeds and a published 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off, so the ending is built in rather than remembered, on a 2000 mAh Type-C battery. It fails on cost across a fleet, and it is a device a driver has to charge and manage.
Fragrance before cleaning · the shortcut Nothing recommends it. Fragrance does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify a smell, so this puts a second scent into a cabin that already had one. It fails completely, and it is the single failure this protocol is written to prevent.
SOSA Car Perfume Discovery Set, three mini sprays
What exists for handing out in quantity, and what does not
Sets, combos, refills - and the four things nobody publishes
For businesses handing something to a lot of customers, this is the honest inventory. The Car Perfume Discovery Set is three travel-size mini sprays in eight fixed curated trios, ₹699 to ₹899, with a Pack of 9 at ₹2,999. Combos pair two scents at ₹899 and ₹949. 15ml refills are ₹399 to ₹449 and they refill the hanging bottle. Now the gaps, because you are planning around them: the trios are fixed and a build-your-own set is not offered; no spray refill is published; no bulk rate, minimum, lead time or per-unit cost is published anywhere; and no cost per spray can honestly be given. Bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available - that is the one branding option. Quantities are settled on WhatsApp.

The rest of the range, so the protocol can name what it is not using. The Car Perfume Discovery Set is three travel-size mini sprays in eight fixed curated trios, ₹699 to ₹899, with a Pack of 9 at ₹2,999 - the sensible way to decide which scent a protocol should standardise on, and the trios are fixed rather than chosen. Combos pair two scents at ₹899, with Oud with Lemon and Sandalwood with Oud at ₹949. Refills are 15ml at ₹399 to ₹449 and they refill the hanging bottle; there is no spray refill product at all, only a system described as in development. Each 12ml scent also carries a 50ml spray at ₹1,499. Mysore Orange Blossom is spray only at ₹549 for 10ml and is the only car scent publishing a spray count at all.

SOSA Car Perfume Discovery Set, three mini sprays

The one published fact that settles most of this decision
Spray and Hanging are the same price. So the choice is never the money.
Every SOSA car scent is sold in two forms and the store names them plainly: Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw). They cost exactly the same - ₹449 for Jasmine, ₹479 for Sandalwood and Lavender, ₹489 for Icy Mint, ₹499 for Lemon, and ₹509 for Oud, Sea Breeze and Vetiver at 12ml. So the decision is not a budget decision at all. It is two other things. Who decides when the scent happens: a spray waits in a glovebox until somebody picks it up, while a hanging bottle starts working the moment it goes in and keeps working. And what stays visible: a hanging bottle hangs where the owner sees it, and a spray does not. For a business handing something to a customer, those two facts usually decide it on their own, because the car belongs to the customer and not to you. Every one of these is alcohol-free, oil and water based, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India. Only one scent publishes how long it lasts: Mysore Orange Blossom, spray only, about 100 sprays at 10ml for ₹549 and about 500 sprays at 50ml for ₹1,499. No 12ml bottle publishes a life, in either form.

The SOSA gifting range

Two questions settle almost every reed diffuser gift, and the first one is not price. How big is the room it is going into? A 50ml suits a bedroom, a study, a hallway or a first diffuser; a 130ml suits an open-plan living and dining area, and it is genuinely too much for a small closed bedroom. Then: how much do you actually know about their taste? The less you know, the less declarative the scent should be - Morning Freshness is the safest of the five for a home you have never stood in, and Fresh Brew coffee-vanilla is the strongest opinion in the range. Price follows those two answers rather than leading them.

Spray and Hanging are the same product at the same price. The store publishes them as Spray (Strong scent-throw) and Hanging (Mild scent-throw), and the choice is scent-throw and who controls it, never budget. Every SOSA car fragrance is alcohol-free, oil and water based, phthalate-free, paraben-free and IFRA-compliant, made in India. Fragrance adds a scent to a cabin; it does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify an odour, it does not clean the air, and it is not a substitute for cleaning a car. No spray refill is published - the 15ml refills are for the hanging bottle. Prices above are published retail prices; bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available, and quantities, rates and anything commercial are settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 rather than published here. A note from Sonal

The enquiries that come from automotive businesses are refreshingly unsentimental. Nobody writes to me about the magic of a first drive. They write: we hand over ninety cars a month, we currently give a keychain, and we are fairly sure nobody keeps it. That is a good question, and it deserves a better answer than a brochure.

So here is the part I would want you to take away, and it is the only part that is actually a fact. The spray and the hanging bottle are the same product at the same price. Jasmine is ₹449 either way. Oud is ₹509 either way. That surprises people, because they assume one must be the upgrade. Neither is. What you are choosing between is who decides when the scent happens and whether anything stays visible in the cabin - and when the car belongs to your customer rather than to you, those two questions usually answer themselves.

The part I will not pretend about is the part most of these enquiries are really asking. I cannot tell you that a gift brings anybody back. Nobody selling you a gift can, and the ones who say they can are selling you something else. What I can tell you is the mechanism: a small bottle goes into a car, it does not need fitting or explaining, it works the same in a hatchback and in a seven-seater, and if the customer likes it they will use it where they spend an hour a day. What that is worth to your business is your judgement, not mine.

And the honest gaps, because you are planning around them. There is no published bulk rate, no minimum, no lead time and no per-unit cost - not because they are secret but because they are settled properly in a conversation, and a page that invented them would be lying to you. Custom label or logo on product is real, and it is the only branding there is.

Frequently asked questions

Can cabin fragrance be used to deal with a vehicle that smells of something?
No, and the protocol should say so in its first line. Fragrance adds a scent to a cabin. It does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify an odour, it does not clean the air, and it is never a substitute for cleaning a vehicle. A cabin that smells of something has a cleaning problem, and applying fragrance leaves two scents in the vehicle instead of one. Clean it, then treat fragrance as the step that follows.
How much fragrance should a protocol specify for one cabin?
There is no published answer, and that is the honest position rather than an omission. The only strength guidance SOSA publishes is in the variant names, Strong scent-throw for the spray and Mild scent-throw for the hanging bottle. No dosage and no coverage figure for a car interior exist on any page. Test the amount with somebody sitting in the back for a normal journey, then set it one step lower.
Which product gives a cabin scent a defined end?
The spray form ends by itself, which is why it fits into a sequence. SOSA Safar at Rs 3,999 has the ending built in: a waterless cordless diffuser of about 6.9 cm with three speeds, a 2000 mAh Type-C battery giving up to 10 hours continuous or 30 hours intermittent per charge, and a published 1, 2 or 3-hour auto shut-off. Its country of origin is China.
How much use does a 12ml bottle give under a daily protocol?
SOSA does not publish how long a 12ml bottle lasts, in either form, for any scent, so no honest planning figure exists. The single exception is Mysore Orange Blossom, a spray only, at approximately 100 sprays in the 10ml at Rs 549 and approximately 500 sprays in the 50ml at Rs 1,499. Those belong to that product alone. Measure your own consumption across a few vehicles instead.
Is there a published rate for a fleet buying under a standing protocol?
No bulk rate, no minimum quantity, no price break and no per-unit cost is published anywhere, and there is no formal trade or partner programme. The published retail prices are Rs 449 to Rs 509 at 12ml, Rs 1,499 for the 50ml spray and Rs 3,999 for SOSA Safar. Bulk orders are welcome and custom label or logo on product is available; quantities are settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531.
