Nobody in India describes their house in cubic metres. They say 3BHK, and it turns out that is a more useful description than it sounds - because the letters themselves tell you exactly how to scent the place. The BHK is one connected body of air. The three Bs are three sealed boxes with doors on them. Two layers, two answers, and the whole house comes to less than you are expecting.
Quick answers — read this first
What is the best scent machine for a 3BHK villa? One SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999 for the connected living volume, plus a reed diffuser from Rs 749 in each of the three bedrooms. The Vaayu is a waterless cold-air machine rated at approximately 1000 cubic metres with a Bluetooth app and timer, and it arrives with four hotel-inspired waterless blends in the box. In a 3BHK the space it holds is the entrance, living room, dining and the passage joining them, which typically runs 900 to 1,100 sq ft and works out to about 255 to 312 cubic metres at a 10 ft ceiling. That sits comfortably inside the rating. The three bedrooms are sealed air that no machine reaches, so they get a reed or a Boond at Rs 899 each.
How much does it cost to scent a whole 3BHK? Rs 14,246 for the common pattern: one Vaayu at Rs 11,999, which includes four hotel-inspired blends, plus three reed diffusers at Rs 749 each, which is Rs 2,247. Choosing Garden Bloom or Evening Calm at Rs 799 for the bedrooms makes it Rs 2,397 and brings the house to Rs 14,396. If you want the two bathrooms covered as well, five reeds at Rs 749 is Rs 3,745 and the house is Rs 15,744. If you would rather one bedroom had a machine, a Boond at Rs 899 or Sukoon at Rs 1,899 with the water-based Hotel Collection from Rs 299 replaces the reed in that room.
Is a Vaayu too much machine for a 3BHK? Sometimes, and it is worth saying so before you spend. If your 3BHK is genuinely open - entrance flowing into living into dining, with a passage and perhaps a stair void - then the connected volume is a few hundred cubic metres and the Vaayu holds it easily on a low setting, which is exactly how a home should be run. If your 3BHK is a compact flat-style plan where the living room is effectively one bounded room, a Megh 6L at Rs 3,499 with the water-based Hotel Collection from Rs 299 will hold that room through an evening and is the honest cheaper answer. The deciding factor is how much of the house shares air, not how many bedrooms it has.
The short answer
Short answer: A 3BHK is one connected living volume plus three sealed bedrooms, so it takes two layers and not two machines. Layer one: one SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999 (waterless cold-air, approximately 1000 cubic metres, Bluetooth app and timer, four hotel-inspired blends included) on the entrance, living, dining and passage - typically 900 to 1,100 sq ft, about 255 to 312 cubic metres at a 10 ft ceiling. Layer two: a reed from Rs 749 or a Boond Rs 899 in each bedroom. Whole house Rs 14,246. WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.
The pick: the SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999, four hotel-inspired blends included in the box) for the connected living volume of a villa; reeds from ₹749 for a single bedroom or bathroom; a single room done properly from ₹899; the Aangan (₹25,999) ducted into central air-conditioning for genuine whole-home coverage.

A villa is not one room, it is a set of connected volumes and a set of closed doors, and the two need different answers. Whole-home scenting means one fragrance held evenly across the part of the house you actually live in - the entrance, the living room, the dining - running on a schedule so it is already there when someone walks through your front door, and already there when you come home yourself. The bedrooms, the guest bathroom and the study get their own quiet solutions. Nobody in the house has to remember anything.
What does a 3BHK villa actually need - and what does the whole house come to?
Read the letters and the answer falls out. 1. The BHK is one machine's job. The hall, kitchen edge, living room, dining and the passage between them share air freely, and in most 3BHK villas that is 900 to 1,100 sq ft - about 255 to 312m³ at a 10 ft ceiling. One SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 covers approximately 1000m³, so it holds that easily and gently: waterless cold-air, Bluetooth app and timer, and four hotel-inspired waterless blends in the box as Bundle A, B or C. 2. The three Bs are three separate problems. A bedroom with its door shut is sealed air, and no machine at any price crosses that door. Each one takes a reed diffuser from ₹749 (Morning Freshness ₹749, Garden Bloom ₹799) or a Boond ₹899 - never a second machine. 3. The total. ₹11,999 + three reeds at ₹749 (₹2,247) = ₹14,246 for the whole house. Add the two bathrooms and five reeds is ₹3,745, so ₹15,744. 4. The cheaper case, said honestly. If your living room is a bounded room rather than an open run, a Megh 6L at ₹3,499 with the water-based Hotel Collection ₹299 is enough and we will tell you so. 5. Before any of it, ventilate and clean - scent finishes clean air and never covers anything. WhatsApp +91 96192 18531 with your plan. Made in India; a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

Reading 3BHK as a scenting diagram
What the three letters tell you, in the order they matter.
Why this works at home
A 3BHK, decoded into a purchase
The whole-home answer: the SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 - waterless, app-scheduled, ~1000m³, and it arrives with four hotel-inspired blends in the box. A single bedroom or guest bathroom starts on reeds from ₹749.
BHK is already a scenting diagram, if you read it properly
The Indian shorthand for a house happens to describe its air. BHK separates the shared part of the home from the private part, and that is precisely the line a scent machine can and cannot cross. The H and K and the living and dining that sit with them are one body of air: you walk from the front door through all of it without turning a single handle, which means fragrance walks through it too. The three Bs are the opposite - each has a door that is shut for eight hours a night and often through the afternoon, and behind that door is a small separate volume that shares nothing with the hall. So the machine question and the bedroom question are not the same question, and the reason so many 3BHK owners end up disappointed is that they bought one product hoping it would answer both. Walk your own house from the front door and note where you had to turn a handle. Everything before the first handle is the machine's territory. Everything after it is a ₹749 job.
Tip: the BHK is the part one machine holds. Every B is a separate room with its own answer.
2
The number
A 3BHK's shared air is about 255 to 312 cubic metres
Do the arithmetic on the connected part only, because that is what you are actually filling. In most Indian 3BHK villas the entrance, living, dining and connecting passage together run 900 to 1,100 sq ft. Multiply by a standard 10 ft ceiling and you get 9,000 to 11,000 cubic feet; divide by 35.3 and that is about 255 to 312m³. The Vaayu is rated at approximately 1000m³, so a 3BHK is not near the edge of anything - which is genuinely good news, because a machine working well inside its rating is one you run gently, and gentle is the correct setting in a house where people sit for hours. Two adjustments worth making. If your living room is double height, count it at its real height: 400 sq ft at 20 ft is 8,000 cubic feet, about 227m³ from one room. And if the whole 3BHK is 1,600 sq ft, do not use 453m³ as your figure - that is the shell, bedrooms included, and it is not the number the machine is being asked to hold.
3
The total
Rs 14,246 buys the entire house, layers included
Write the whole thing out, because the number is smaller than most people assume and it settles the argument about a second machine. One Vaayu at ₹11,999 holds the connected volume and arrives with four hotel-inspired blends already in the box, so there is nothing further to buy to start. Three reed diffusers at ₹749 for the three bedrooms is ₹2,247, which brings the whole house to ₹14,246. Choose Garden Bloom or Evening Calm at ₹799 instead and the bedrooms are ₹2,397, so ₹14,396. Add the two bathrooms and you are at five reeds, ₹3,745, so ₹15,744. Swap one bedroom to a Boond ₹899 or a Sukoon ₹1,899 with the water-based Hotel Collection ₹299 and the sum moves by a few hundred rupees. Now compare that to the instinct people arrive with, which is two machines at ₹23,998 - almost ₹10,000 more, for a second unit that still cannot get under a bedroom door. Keep the register in one family across both layers so a doorway changes depth rather than subject.
Tip: the second layer costs about a fifth of the first, and it is the layer that actually reaches your bedrooms.
The SOSA principle
A 3BHK is one connected volume and three closed doors - so it needs one machine and three small quiet objects, and that is the entire specification.
The letters people already use to describe their home turn out to be the exact line a scent machine can and cannot cross.

The SOSA home edit
Whatever the house looks like, the logic is the same: one scent, sized to the volume that is genuinely connected, running on a schedule so nobody in the family has to remember it. A single bedroom or a guest bathroom is happy on reeds with no power at all; the living room you actually live in wants a machine; the whole villa with central air-conditioning wants the ducts doing the work. Every SOSA system is made in India, cruelty-free and vegan, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Here is where each one belongs.

Honest notes before you buy anything. Coverage ratings assume connected air volume. A machine cannot push scent through a closed bedroom door, and it never will - so a partitioned villa is not one scenting problem but several, and honest sizing means saying so out loud rather than selling you one machine and hoping. Scent the volume that is genuinely open to itself, then give the closed rooms their own quiet answer, usually a reed diffuser. Fragrance never substitutes for ventilation or cleaning. If a room smells damp, stale or of last night's cooking, open it, air it and clean it first; scent added on top of that only makes a more complicated bad smell. A home is not a lobby you pass through. Households include children, elderly parents, pregnant family members and pets, all of whom breathe this air far longer than any visitor does, which is why gentle dosing is the default at home and why the settings we suggest are lower than the machine can run. Anyone in the house reporting a headache is a recalibration signal, not a complaint to argue with - turn it down or turn it off, and tell us. The Vaayu runs waterless nebulising oil and comes with the four hotel-inspired blends; the Hotel Collection bottle is water-based and belongs in the ultrasonic machines only. The two formats are not interchangeable. SOSA blends are SOSA's own hotel-inspired interpretations; SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house, not affiliated with or endorsed by any hotel brand. ISIPCA Versailles
A note from Sonal
There is a difference between a room that smells nice and a home that has a signature, and almost nobody is told what it is. A room that smells nice is an event: you light a candle, you spray something in the hallway before people arrive, it is lovely for forty minutes and then it is gone. Somewhere else in the house a bathroom gel is doing one thing, a kitchen spray another, and a bedroom reed a third. Four pleasant smells in four rooms is not a fragranced home. It is four rooms.
A signature is the opposite. It is one scent, sized to the house, running on a schedule - so it is already in the air when someone walks through your front door, and already there at eleven at night when you come home yourself, and nobody has lifted a finger to make it happen. That is the whole trick the great hotels use, and it is not complicated: they do not chase smells room by room, they hold one fragrance across the volume people actually move through. In a villa that usually means the entrance, the living room and the dining as one connected space, with the closed rooms handled separately and quietly.
I trained at ISIPCA in Versailles and I have sized this for houses across India, and I would rather tell you honestly that your layout needs two answers than sell you one machine that disappoints you. Message us on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 with your home's approximate size, the number of floors and a line about the layout - open plan, closed rooms, central air-conditioning or split units - and we will give you a free sizing recommendation. I read those descriptions myself. Everything is made in India, cruelty-free and vegan, and a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Your home gets a memory; a girl gets a classroom.
Frequently asked questions
My 3BHK is 1,600 sq ft. Does that fit inside one machine's coverage?
Comfortably, but not for the reason the square footage suggests. The whole 1,600 sq ft shell at a 10 ft ceiling is about 453 cubic metres, which is already well inside the Vaayu's approximately 1000 cubic metres - except that number includes three bedrooms the machine will never reach, so it is not the figure you should be sizing against. Measure only the connected part: entrance, living, dining and the passage joining them, usually 900 to 1,100 sq ft in a house that size, which is about 255 to 312 cubic metres. That is the real load, and it means the machine runs well inside itself on a low setting, which is exactly what you want at home. The three bedrooms are answered separately at Rs 749 each, and the total for the house lands at Rs 14,246.
Can I put the machine in the passage so it reaches the bedrooms too?
It will scent the passage beautifully and it still will not reach the bedrooms, because a shut door is an air barrier rather than a distance problem. Moving a unit closer to a closed door changes nothing about what is behind it. What placement does decide is how even the connected volume feels, so put the unit inside that volume, low rather than high, roughly where the entrance opens into the living area, and out of the direct blast of a split air-conditioner. Low matters because warm air rises and convection will carry the fragrance up and outward for you. If the bedroom doors are genuinely open through the afternoon, those rooms will pick up a gentler version of the house register while they are open, which is a bonus rather than a strategy - and it stops entirely at ten at night, which is what the reed in that room is quietly there for.
Is a reed diffuser really enough for a bedroom, or am I settling?
In a bedroom a reed is usually the better object, not the cheaper compromise. A bedroom is a small sealed volume of roughly 250 sq ft at a 10 ft ceiling, about 71 cubic metres, which needs very little to feel scented, and the qualities that matter there are silence, no power cable, nothing glowing and nothing to remember. A reed at Rs 749 gives you all four. The SOSA range covers real registers - Morning Freshness Rs 749, Garden Bloom Rs 799, Evening Calm Rs 799, Mountain Breeze Rs 849, Fresh Brew Rs 849, with 130ml from Rs 1,249 and duo sets at Rs 1,498, Rs 1,548 and Rs 1,598. If you want adjustable presence in one particular bedroom, a Boond at Rs 899 or Sukoon at Rs 1,899 with the water-based Hotel Collection from Rs 299 is the step up, and it is a genuine one.
Should the bedrooms use the same scent as the rest of the 3BHK?
The same family, yes; an identical intensity, no. What makes a house read as one house is that opening a bedroom door changes the depth of what you smell rather than the subject, so keep the reeds in the same broad direction as whatever the machine is running in the hall. Where 3BHKs go wrong is accumulation rather than choice: a floral gel in the bathroom, a citrus spray in the kitchen, incense near the puja shelf and a woody register in the living room, all live at once, which is why a perfectly nice house can smell busy. Choose the direction once and let each layer express it. Bathrooms are the reasonable exception, since everyone grants them separate status, but keep whatever you use there quiet rather than making it a second statement.
We are a family of five in a 3BHK. Is running a machine all day sensible?
Run it for fewer hours rather than at a lower ambition, and be genuinely conservative about the level. A household breathes this air for hours at a time and may include children, elderly parents, someone pregnant or pets, so the right target is a setting where a guest reads the house as welcoming without being able to name a note. In a busy 3BHK the pattern that works is a block through the evening beginning before people are home, perhaps a shorter morning block around breakfast and the school run, and off overnight - which also gives everyone's nose a daily reset and keeps you honest about the level. You will go nose-blind within days, so ask the first person who walks in what they notice and believe them. Anyone in the house reporting a headache is a signal to turn it down, not something to argue with.

Facts verified August 2026: The SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is a waterless cold-air nebulising machine covering approximately 1000m³, with Bluetooth app and timer scheduling. It ships with four hotel-inspired waterless blends included in the box, chosen as one of three bundles at purchase: Bundle A - Ritz-Carlton Inspired, Westin Inspired, St. Regis Inspired, 1 Hotels Inspired; Bundle B - Westin Inspired, Shangri-La Inspired, Four Seasons Inspired, Ritz-Carlton Inspired; Bundle C - St. Regis Inspired, W Hotels Inspired, 1 Hotels Inspired, Four Seasons Inspired. Format distinction: the Vaayu and the HVAC systems run waterless nebulising oil, while the separate SOSA Hotel Collection fragrance (15ml ₹299) is water-based and runs in the ultrasonic machines only - Boond (₹899), Sukoon (₹1,899) and Megh (₹3,499). The two fragrance formats are not interchangeable, and the Hotel Collection bottle does not go into a Vaayu. SOSA Aangan (₹25,999) and SOSA Meenar (₹38,500) are HVAC nebulising systems for approximately 8,000-10,000 sq ft and 12,000-18,000 sq ft respectively, ducted into central air-conditioning. Reed diffusers need no power and make no noise: Morning Freshness ₹749, Garden Bloom ₹799, Evening Calm ₹799, Mountain Breeze ₹849, Fresh Brew ₹849; 130ml from ₹1,249; duo sets ₹1,498, ₹1,548 and ₹1,598.
