Yes, and physically it is easy: the SOSA Vaayu is freestanding by design - it lays flat on a console or stands on a shelf - so nothing about it is fixed to a building, and moving it between your cabin and a listing takes about ninety seconds at each end. The question worth thinking about is not whether the machine can do both jobs, but what happens to the place it is not in. Your office is a permanent scenting job that runs five or six days a week. A listing is an episodic one that runs for ninety minutes on a Saturday morning. Every Saturday the machine goes out to a flat in Worli, your own reception spends the busiest walk-in day of the week smelling of nothing, and that is a real trade rather than a theoretical one.
Quick answers — read this first
Can I use the same scent diffuser in my office and in the properties I show? Yes. The SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999 is freestanding or wall and HVAC mountable, waterless, and draws 5W at DC 12V, so it carries between your office and a listing with no installation at either end - a broker can genuinely run it in the cabin on weekdays and stand it on a listing's entrance console on Saturday. The catch is not the machine, it is the calendar. Office scenting is permanent and low-level; viewing scenting is episodic and even lower. Whichever place the unit is in, the other one is unscented that day, and for most brokers the day it leaves the office is the day clients actually come in. The usual resolution is that the machine's home is the office, reed diffusers from Rs 749 hold the listings you cannot reach early, and the unit only travels for the one property that justifies the trip.
Should the office and the listing smell the same? No, and this is the part most brokers do not expect. Your office signature is yours: it can be distinctive, it can be a little warmer or more characterful, and being recognisable is the entire point of it - clients should walk in and know where they are. A listing is the opposite brief. The buyer has to imagine their own life in that flat, so the air has to be anonymous, quiet and below the level anyone would name, because a distinctive fragrance in a property for sale reads as somebody else's personality at best and as concealment at worst. If you are running one machine across both, either choose a register neutral enough to be honest in both places - the Ritz-Carlton-inspired white tea, bergamot and cedar is the usual answer - or accept that swapping blends is not instantaneous and plan for it.
What is the practical friction of moving one diffuser between an office and a listing? Four things, and none of them are dramatic on their own. The adaptor has to travel with the unit rather than staying plugged in at the office, which is the item brokers most commonly leave behind. The property needs a live socket, because the Vaayu is mains powered and not battery, and the socket is almost never where you want the machine to stand, which is why an extension lead is standard kit. The unit needs to be running at least an hour before the buyer arrives, so it comes out of the office earlier than the appointment implies. And it has to be packed down and carried out again afterwards. If you are wall or HVAC mounting it in the office, unmounting weekly defeats the point - freestanding at both ends is the only version of this that survives contact with a real Saturday.
The short answer
Short answer: Yes - the SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999 is freestanding, waterless and mains powered, so one unit genuinely moves between a broker's office and a listing with no installation at either end. The problem is not the machine, it is that the two jobs have opposite shapes: the office is permanent, everyday and lightly characterful, while a viewing is episodic, ninety minutes long and must be anonymous. Whichever place the unit is in, the other is unscented, and Saturday is usually when both need it. The common resolution: keep the machine in the office where it works five days a week, hold listings with reed diffusers from Rs 749 placed days ahead, and carry the unit out only for the property that earns the trip. Registers from Rs 299 for ultrasonics. WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.

Every customer-facing space hosts two audiences at once: the customer who forms an opinion in a single visit, and the staff who breathe that air for eight hours. Commercial scenting serves both with one move - a single refined fragrance, held evenly from the entrance to the far end of the floor, running on a schedule nobody has to remember. Customers experience it as "this brand has itself together"; the team gets premises that smell composed from opening to close.
I have one Vaayu. Can it serve both my brokerage office and the flats I show?
Yes, with three decisions made in advance. 1. Decide where its home is, and be honest about which place loses. A SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is freestanding or wall / HVAC mountable and runs waterless at DC 12V / 1A, so it moves without any installation. But it can only be in one building at a time. For most brokers the office is the machine's home, because it is scented every working day and the listing is scented on eight or ten mornings a year - and because a client walking into your cabin unannounced on a Tuesday is a more frequent event than a premium viewing. The listings are then held with reed diffusers from ₹749, placed three or four days ahead so the flat is already scented rather than being scented as the buyer walks in. 2. Decide the register, knowing the two briefs are different. Your office can be distinctive; a property for sale must not be. If one blend has to do both, use the quietest common ground - the Ritz-Carlton-inspired white tea, bergamot and cedar, or the Westin-inspired white tea, aloe and cedar. If you want a warmer office signature, run the office on its own register and buy a second, quieter blend for viewings, remembering that a machine which has been running one register for weeks does not switch cleanly the same morning. Bundles A, B and C each ship four hotel-inspired blends inside the ₹11,999, so you already have both ends of that choice in the box. 3. Decide the dose separately for each place. The office runs at a level your own team can sit in all day. A viewing runs lower than that - below the level a buyer would name it - because heavy scent in a property for sale reads as concealment. Same machine, two settings, and the app makes the switch a ten-second job rather than a guess. Constraints to plan around: mains power, not battery; a live socket at the property; and the adaptor travelling with the unit. SOSA's blends are its own hotel-inspired interpretations and SOSA is not affiliated with any hotel brand. WhatsApp +91 96192 18531 with your office size and your listing sizes and we will tell you whether one unit is genuinely enough. Made in India; a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
One line: one ₹11,999 Vaayu physically does both, but only one at a time - keep it in the office where it works five days a week, hold the listings with reeds from ₹749, and carry it out only for the property that earns the trip. Registers from ₹299. WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.

Two jobs with opposite shapes, one piece of equipment
Three separations worth making before you plan a week around one machine: what the two jobs actually demand, why the register cannot simply be shared, and where the unit should physically live.
Why this works
One unit, two buildings - the decisions that make it work
The commercial standard: the SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 - waterless, app-scheduled, ~1000m³ coverage. Single rooms start on reeds from ₹749.
A permanent job and an episodic one are not the same job
Every other business SOSA writes for has one scenting problem: a space that is open every day and should smell the same every day. A broker has two, and they pull in opposite directions. The office is permanent. It runs from ten in the morning until eight at night, six days a week, at a level your own team can sit in without noticing, and its whole value is consistency - a client who has been in three times should recognise the room. The listing is episodic. It runs for the sixty to ninety minutes before an appointment, perhaps eight times across the life of a mandate, and its whole value is that nobody notices it at all. Those are different products of the same machine, and the friction is that they collide on the same day. Premium viewings happen on Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons. So does the walk-in traffic to a brokerage office and the meeting where a family signs. If the unit leaves at nine on Saturday and comes back at two, your reception has spent the most-visited hours of the week on nothing. That is not an argument against moving the machine. It is an argument for deciding deliberately rather than discovering it in the third week. See what a brokerage office should smell like for the permanent half, and the office reception guide rather than re-deriving it here.
Tip: the machine can be in two buildings, just not on the same Saturday - and Saturday is when both of them need it.
2
The registers
Your office may have a personality. A property for sale may not.
This is the part that surprises brokers who assumed one machine meant one smell. An office signature is allowed to be recognisable, because recognition is the point: it is your room, your brand, your repeat clients, and a slightly warmer or more characterful register does real work there. A property you are selling has the opposite brief. The buyer is standing in the flat trying to picture their own furniture, their own mornings and their own family in it, and a distinctive fragrance is somebody else's personality filling the space they are trying to occupy in their imagination. Worse, at any real strength it reads as concealment - a buyer who walks into a strongly perfumed flat starts wondering what is under it. So the honest options are two. Either run one genuinely neutral register in both places, in which case the Ritz-Carlton-inspired white tea, bergamot and cedar or the Westin-inspired white tea, aloe and cedar are the safe common ground. Or run a warmer register in the office and a quiet one in listings, using two of the four blends that ship with the machine - bundle A, B or C, all inside the ₹11,999 - and accepting that a machine which has run one blend for a month carries a trace of it into the next one for a while. Plan the changeover a few days ahead of the viewing rather than on the morning, and judge it cold before the buyer does.
3
The logistics
What actually goes wrong when a machine commutes
Four practical points, learned the boring way. The adaptor is the item brokers leave behind, because at the office it stays plugged into the wall and the machine simply lifts off it; travel with a second adaptor kept in the kit bag if you can, or make unplugging it part of the pack-down. The property must have a live supply - the Vaayu is mains powered at DC 12V / 1A and 5W, not battery, and a flat with the electricity disconnected will not run it at all, which is a different problem entirely and is covered on the disconnected-supply page. The socket at a listing is almost never where you want the unit to stand, so a five-metre extension lead does more work in a viewing kit than anything else in it. And the run-up time means the machine leaves the office earlier than the appointment suggests: if the buyer is at eleven, the unit is standing in the flat and running by ten at the latest, which usually means it left your desk at nine. Wall or HVAC mounting in the office is excellent if the machine stays there and pointless if it commutes, so if you plan to carry it, run it freestanding at both ends. For the deeper version of the carry-it-or-leave-it question across several active listings, see carrying one machine between listings and the back-to-back set-up friction.
Tip: the extension lead is the most-used item in a broker's kit, and the adaptor is the most-forgotten.
The SOSA principle
One machine can absolutely do both jobs. It just cannot do them at the same hour on the same Saturday - which is the only part of this decision that actually costs you something.
Office permanent and a little distinctive, listing episodic and deliberately anonymous. Same equipment, two settings, two registers if you can manage it.

Honest notes for business owners: scenting compounds a well-run premises and rescues nothing. Ventilation, air-conditioning and cleaning come first, and fragrance never substitutes for hygiene or air quality - if the air is stale, damp or smoky, fix that at the source before any scent goes in. The people most exposed to the fragrance are not your customers but your STAFF, who work eight-hour shifts in it, which is why whisper calibration and locked settings are standard on every SOSA commercial install, and any staff sensitivity report should be treated as a recalibration signal rather than a complaint. Healthcare and wellness spaces need extra restraint: keep scenting to reception and circulation areas, never treatment rooms, and the practitioner's judgement overrides anything in this guide. The Hotel Collection scents are SOSA's own hotel-inspired interpretations; SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house, not affiliated with or endorsed by any hotel brand. Ultrasonic systems use the water-based Hotel Collection fragrance; the Vaayu and HVAC systems run waterless nebulising oil - the formats are not interchangeable. WhatsApp consult: +91 96192 18531. ISIPCA Versailles
A note from Sonal
I have walked into jewellery showrooms lit like museums, bridal boutiques with hand-embroidered walls, furniture floors styled down to the last cushion, clinics with better art than most galleries - and in almost every one of them, the air was an afterthought. Floor polish, packaging cartons, the phenyl from the morning mopping, the workshop or the loading bay drifting forward. The one thing every customer takes in before they see anything is the thing most businesses leave to chance.
I trained at ISIPCA in Versailles, where the world's scent-marketing perfumers learn the craft, and what I build for Indian businesses is the same architecture the global hospitality brands use, whatever you sell: one signature, sized to the space, run on a schedule - so the scent is as reliable as your lighting. A consultation corner may only need reeds; a full floor needs the Vaayu; a venue needs the HVAC systems. If you want it applied to your specific premises, message us on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 with the type of space and its approximate size - I read those descriptions myself.
Everything is made or assembled for Indian conditions, supported from Pune - and a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Your brand gets a memory; a girl gets a classroom. That equation has always felt right to me.
Frequently asked questions
If I take the machine out on Saturday, will my office smell of nothing?
It will smell of whatever it smells of without the machine, which after a few months of running one register is usually less bare than people fear but is definitely not the same room. The cheap fix is a second, smaller device that stays put: a Sukoon at Rs 1,899 or a Megh at Rs 3,499 running a water-based Hotel Collection register from Rs 299 in the reception, so the office has a floor under it on the days the Vaayu is away. Reed diffusers from Rs 749 in the cabins do a similar job with no power at all. What we would avoid is running the office at a higher setting through the week to compensate, because a stronger Friday does not carry into Saturday and the only thing it reliably achieves is a room your own team have stopped being able to smell.
Can I keep two different fragrances going in one machine, one for the office and one for viewings?
You can hold two registers and swap between them, and the four hotel-inspired blends that ship with the Vaayu inside Rs 11,999 are exactly why that is practical. What you cannot do is swap them cleanly on the morning of a viewing. A machine that has been running a warmer register for weeks carries a trace of it, and the first hour after a change is a hybrid rather than a clean start - which in a property viewing is the one hour you actually care about. If you want two registers, change the blend three or four days before the appointment, run the machine at the office on the new one in the meantime so it settles, and then carry it out. If that sounds like too much planning, the simpler answer is one neutral register everywhere: it is a smaller compromise than most brokers assume.
Is it better to just buy two machines?
It is better if the numbers support it and worse if they do not, and the test is your calendar rather than your budget. Two units make obvious sense when you have a primary premium listing you show most weekends and you also want your office scented on those same weekends, because that is the exact clash this whole page is about and the second machine deletes it. They make much less sense when you show two or three premium properties a year, in which case the second unit will spend most of the year in a cupboard and reeds from Rs 749 would have covered the listings properly. Count the Saturdays where both places genuinely needed scenting last year. If the answer is more than about eight, the second unit is a reasonable purchase. If it is two, it is not.
Does carrying the machine damage it or affect how it runs?
Treat it as equipment rather than as luggage and it travels fine, but there are sensible habits. Carry it upright and closed rather than loose in a boot where it slides into a spare wheel well, keep it in a padded sleeve or a small hard case, and keep the DC adaptor with the unit rather than in a different bag. Do not leave it in a parked car in a Mumbai May afternoon any more than you would leave a camera there. For anything about servicing, cleaning between blends, warranty or what the machine will tolerate over years of being carried, WhatsApp +91 96192 18531 and ask directly - we do not publish lifespan or maintenance-interval figures and we are not going to guess at one to make a page tidier.
My office register is warm and I like it. Can I really not use it in a listing?
You can, and it will smell good, and it is still the wrong choice. The problem is not quality, it is authorship. A warm, characterful register in your own office says this is our room, which is the correct message. The same register in a flat you are selling says this is someone's room, and the buyer standing in it is a guest rather than a future owner - which is the exact opposite of what a viewing is for. It is the same logic that has you asking the owner to take down the family photographs before the shoot. Keep the warm register for the office where it belongs, use a quiet white-tea-and-cedar blend for viewings, and read the full version of that argument on the page about scenting a home to live in versus a home to sell.

Facts verified August 2026: Ambient scent research consistently associates pleasant, congruent scenting with improved evaluations of a space and its service, longer dwell time and stronger brand recall at moderate effect sizes; congruence (scent matching the setting) and gentle intensity outperform strong scenting in replicated studies, and no scent effect survives poor ventilation, poor cleaning or poor indoor air quality. Olfactory memory is unusually durable: scent-linked brand memories persist and retrieve for years, which is the mechanism behind signature scents. Staff exposure is the design constraint, since employees breathe the fragrance for full shifts: whisper calibration, locked settings and sensitivity accommodations are standard practice, and healthcare and wellness settings call for extra restraint. SOSA systems: alcohol-free reed diffusers from ₹749 for single rooms with no power needed; Sukoon 500ml ultrasonic (₹1,899) and Megh 6L ultrasonic (₹3,499) run the water-based Hotel Collection fragrance (from ₹299; refills from ₹999, 100ml ₹999); SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is a waterless cold-air nebulising machine, ~1000m³ coverage, Bluetooth app and timer; SOSA Aangan (₹25,999) and SOSA Meenar (₹38,500) are HVAC nebulising systems for approximately 8,000-10,000 and 12,000-18,000 sq ft respectively.
