SOSA Vaayu Minimalist Whole-Home Fragrance Guide

Start with why the object count is a real problem rather than a fussy one. In a well-finished home, every object on a surface has an argument behind it: the lamp was chosen against three others, the tray exists so the keys have a home, the empty half of the console is empty on purpose. Then fragrance arrives, and it arrives as product - a bottle with a label, a fan of sticks at whatever angle they fell into, a shape designed for a shop shelf. It is not ugly. It is simply the only thing in the room chosen for what it does rather than for how it looks, and it lands on the two surfaces a good interior protects hardest: the entrance console, which is the only thing a guest sees with a completely fresh eye, and the surface beside the seating, which you look at for three hours every evening. The arithmetic, so you can size your own. Floor area times ceiling height gives cubic feet; cubic feet divided by 35.3 gives cubic metres. At a ten foot ceiling: 1,500 sq ft is 15,000 cu ft, about 425m³; 2,000 sq ft is 20,000 cu ft, about 566m³; 2,500 sq ft is about 708m³; 3,000 sq ft is 30,000 cu ft, about 850m³; 4,000 sq ft is 40,000 cu ft, about 1,133m³. The SOSA Vaayu is rated at approximately 1000m³, so on paper it reaches roughly 3,500 square feet at that ceiling height. Height changes it sharply: a 600 sq ft living room at a twenty foot ceiling is 12,000 cu ft, about 340m³, so a double-height hall eats coverage a floor plan never shows. And the caveat that travels with that number every single time. The rating assumes connected air. A 3,000 square foot villa across twelve rooms and two floors is not one 850m³ space; it is a connected living volume of perhaps half that plus a set of sealed boxes the machine has no route into. Nobody advertises this, and it is the single most useful thing to understand before spending anything, because it tells you exactly which half of your house a machine solves. The upside of the same fact. The more open your house is, the more of it one object covers - which is why this argument lands hardest in exactly the homes that hate clutter most.

The machine. Fails at any price: a closed cupboard, a drawer, a sealed cabinet, anywhere behind a heavy curtain, which behaves far more like a door than an opening. Four closed rooms bought across the range at ₹749, ₹799, ₹799 and ₹849 is ₹3,196, so that version is ₹15,195. Two closed rooms at ₹749 is ₹1,498, so a smaller house is ₹13,497. The all-passive comparison, including the part that does not favour us. Eight reeds at ₹749 is ₹5,992, so the machine is ₹6,007 more at the till, and eight bought across the range comes to ₹6,392, narrowing the gap to ₹5,607. But reeds deplete: a second full round of eight at ₹749 is another ₹5,992, taking the passive route to ₹11,984, fifteen rupees under the machine's one-time price. The SOSA Aangan at ₹25,999 on central air-conditioning is not hidden, it is absent: it lives with the plant and distributes one register through the ductwork the house already has, reaching every room the ducts reach, upstairs and closed doors included, because a duct is the connection a closed door removed. It covers approximately 8,000 to 10,000 square feet, and the Meenar at ₹38,500 does the same for a larger estate. It is the only option in this range that scents a sealed room without an object in it. The figures we will not give you, and why that is the point. No standalone waterless refill is published for the Vaayu, so there is no refill price, no millilitres-per-day or per-month consumption figure, no monthly running cost, no blend duration and no machine lifespan we may state - not estimated, not typically, not roughly. What actually drives consumption is the volume of air being scented, how many hours a day the schedule runs and the intensity setting, so you can work out your own once you know your own usage.
