✓ One fragrance identity across the estate, with the machine chosen by volume rather than by a store's rank✓ Waterless in the larger stores, so the machine adds no moisture to the room and leaves no residue on surfaces✓ Made in India · independent, not affiliated with any hotel · a portion funds girl-child education

The worry underneath this question is that a mixed estate looks untidy on a purchase order. It does. It is also the only way ten very different rooms end up feeling like one business.
Quick answers — read this first
Can stores this different really share one identity? Yes, because the thing a customer experiences is the profile and the perceived level, and neither of those is a model number. Identity is what the room smells of and how quietly it does it. A 400 sq ft store on a ₹1,899 machine and a 2,000 sq ft store on a ₹11,999 one can produce the same room to walk into, which is the only comparison a customer is capable of making. Nobody has ever stood in a boutique and perceived the hardware.
What goes in the smallest stores? Under about 750 sq ft the honest answer is a SOSA Sukoon at ₹1,899, or a Mountain Breeze reed at ₹849 if you would rather have no schedule at all. A Vaayu in a 400 sq ft store would be rated for five or six times the air it is standing in, and it would spend its life turned down to almost nothing. That is not prudence, it is a waste of ₹10,100 per store that could go into lighting.
What does the whole estate cost? A worked ten-store estate: five single-room stores of 400-1,100 sq ft on a Sukoon each at ₹1,899, and five stores of 1,200-2,000 sq ft on a SOSA Vaayu each at ₹11,999. Total hardware ₹69,490. Bulk pricing, GST or corporate invoicing, AMC, warranty, installation, minimum order and multi-site rollout support are not published terms and must be confirmed with us first. If a store falls between the bands, the call turns on shape rather than size - an entrance lobby, a private lounge or central AC to mount into moves it up.
The short answer
Short answer: you keep one identity by running different machines, not the same ones. Fix the fragrance profile and the perceived level centrally, and choose hardware by volume: a reed at ₹849 or a Sukoon at ₹1,899 under 750 sq ft, a Vaayu at ₹11,999 past about 1,500. A worked ten-store estate of mixed sizes comes to ₹69,490.
The pick: one SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) in each store past about 1,500 sq ft and one SOSA Sukoon (₹1,899) in each single-room store under 750 sq ft, with the same profile in both and the level matched by walking in.
Next step: send the store list with carpet area and ceiling height per branch, and we will mark which band each store falls into and what it should start at - Ask for a retail scenting plan.
The identity travels as a profile and a level. The hardware is a building decision, and buying the same machine for every store is how an estate spends money without becoming more consistent.
The larger-store machine - tap to see the specification
How does an estate of 400 to 2,000 sq ft stores keep one fragrance identity?
By accepting that the estate will run more than one machine, and understanding that this is the correct answer rather than an untidy one. Here is the reasoning. What a customer experiences is a profile and a level - what the room smells of, and how quietly. Those two things are your identity and they travel perfectly well across buildings of any size. What a customer cannot experience, ever, is which model is sitting behind the till. So the identity is fixed centrally as a register - dry woods, cedar and vetiver, often a leather facet, sometimes a soft dry amber, dry tea or citrus at the bright end, and nothing sweet, edible, powdery or floral - and the hardware is chosen store by store on volume. Now the ladder, plainly. Under about 750 sq ft the honest answer is a SOSA Sukoon at ₹1,899, or a Mountain Breeze reed at ₹849 if you would rather have no schedule to manage at all. Your 400 sq ft store is one display room. A SOSA Vaayu is rated to 1000m³, roughly 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft, so putting one there means buying five or six times the machine the room can use and then throttling it down to almost nothing to make it bearable. That is ₹10,100 per small store spent on nothing, and I would rather you put it into the lighting, which does more for how a small boutique feels than any fragrance will. Between 750 and 1,500 sq ft is the real decision point, and it turns on shape rather than size: one open trading room stays on a Sukoon; a store with an entrance lobby, a private client lounge or central AC to mount into moves up, because at that point you are buying distribution rather than coverage. From about 1,500 sq ft the Vaayu at ₹11,999 is right, and it earns itself on four things that are not coverage - control, since the timers match trading hours and the key-lock stops a level drifting upward on a floor with many hands; no water; distribution, because a wall or HVAC mount reaches a lobby and a lounge no free-standing unit does; and uptime, at 400ml and 90+ days a fill. Then the part that actually makes the estate feel like one business: match the perceived level, not the setting. A person walks in from outside at each store and asks whether they notice a fragrance or a room somebody looks after, and the dial moves until the answer is the same everywhere. Set it for the advisor who breathes it nine hours a day, and if the team says it is too much, it is too much. Worked estate of ten, five small and five large: ₹69,490 in total. Two disclosures before a purchase order: bulk pricing, GST or corporate invoicing, AMC, warranty, installation, minimum order and multi-site rollout support are not published and must be confirmed with us, and cold-air refill oil is not currently sold separately, so the 400ml supplied runs 90+ days a fill and continuity must be confirmed before you commit the estate. And plainly, because a mixed estate invites the question: no one can promise you that ambient scent moves footfall, dwell, conversion or spend, and a supplier who offers you a figure per store is selling. Ask for a retail scenting plan and send the store list with areas and ceiling heights.
Identity is the profile and the perceived level, never the model. Reed ₹849 or Sukoon ₹1,899 under 750 sq ft, Vaayu ₹11,999 past about 1,500. Ten mixed stores: ₹69,490.
For the estate's larger stores, one SOSA Vaayu - 1000m³ rated, waterless, adjustable intensity and a key-lock. ₹11,999. And for every single-room store under 750 sq ft, a Sukoon at ₹1,899 or a Mountain Breeze reed at ₹849 - said out loud because a mixed estate is where the temptation to buy upward is strongest.
A range of 400 to 2,000 sq ft spans the whole honest ladder, so the estate carries two machines rather than one. The images link to the product pages so your buying team can check the specifications.
Waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³, about 2,000-3,000 sq ft. 400ml tank running 90+ days a fill, Bluetooth app with 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, adjustable intensity, under 38dB, auto-stop and key-lock, freestanding or wall and HVAC mounted. In a 2,000 sq ft store it runs comfortably low rather than working hard.
Ultrasonic cool-mist diffuser covering roughly 270-320 sq ft, supplied with three 15ml fragrances. In your 400 and 500 sq ft stores this is the correct machine and not a lesser one. A Vaayu there would be rated for five times the air in the room and would sit throttled down to nothing.
1000m³ coverage (about 2,000-3,000 sq ft), 400ml tank running 90+ days a fill, Bluetooth app and 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, adjustable intensity, under 38dB, 5W, freestanding or wall and HVAC mount, auto-stop and key-lock. CE, RoHS and SGS certified. Made in India. Cold-air refill oil is not currently sold separately - the machine ships with 400ml and continuity of supply must be confirmed with SOSA before an estate-wide commitment.
Three habits make ten different rooms read as one business, and none of them involves buying the same machine twice.
1
Band the estate by volume before you buy anything
Carpet area alone will put two of your stores in the wrong band
Collect carpet area and ceiling height together for every store and work in cubic metres, because that is what a machine actually serves. A 1,100 sq ft store with a four-metre ceiling holds more air than a 1,400 sq ft store with a low one, and a double-height entrance void will move a store a full band on its own. Then sort into three groups: under 750 sq ft, 750 to 1,500, and above. The middle band is decided by shape rather than size - one open room stays small, while an entrance lobby, a private lounge or central AC to mount into moves the store up, because you are then buying distribution rather than coverage.
Tip: Ask stores to measure to the underside of the ceiling, not to the false ceiling grid line.
One Vaayu ₹11,999, set once and left alone, is the whole hardware side of this.
The same reading on two different machines means nothing at all
A Sukoon and a Vaayu do not share a scale, and even two Vaayu in two buildings will not agree at the same setting. So the estate calibrates by experience: somebody walks in from the street at each store and asks whether they notice a fragrance or simply a room somebody looks after. The second is the pass. Do it in the morning before the store warms up and again in the afternoon, because the same setting reads differently once the AC has run for hours or the humidity climbs. Then write the setting down on the store's page with the date. Nobody standing inside a store can judge this, which is the whole reason levels drift upward.
Tip: Do the walk-in at two of your stores on the same day - comparing from memory a week apart is useless.
One Vaayu ₹11,999, set once and left alone, is the whole hardware side of this.
The estate's smallest boutiques do not need to be levelled up to the flagship
There is a pull in every mixed estate to make the small stores match the big ones, and in scenting it produces over-scented rooms. A 450 sq ft boutique is a single display room; a fragrance in it is closer to the customer, closer to the advisor, and closer to the stock, so it should be quieter rather than louder. The smallest stores in an estate are almost always the ones running too strong, because somebody set them by standing inside for ten minutes. A reed at ₹849, flipped weekly, is a legitimate answer for the very smallest, and it removes a schedule from a store that has fewer hands to run one.
One Mountain Breeze reed diffuser ₹849, set once and left alone, is the whole hardware side of this.
An estate spanning 400 to 2,000 sq ft becomes consistent by buying different machines on purpose, because the only thing a customer can compare between two of your stores is the room, and the room is a profile and a level.
Buy on volume, calibrate by walking in, and let the smallest stores stay quieter than the flagship rather than louder.
The larger half of the estate: SOSA Vaayu, 1000m³ rated, waterless, key-locked, with timers on each store's trading hours. ₹11,999 per store.
No customer has ever walked into one of your stores and perceived a model number. They perceive a room, and two very different machines can produce the same room.
— Sonal Sahani, SOSA
Why the mix is the correct answer
Buy on volume, calibrate on foot, and let the small stores stay quiet
Two machines and one reed cover an estate that runs from 400 to 2,000 sq ft, and the band is set by volume and shape rather than by a store's standing in the network. Cold-air refill oil is not currently sold separately, so the 400ml supplied runs 90+ days a fill and continuity of supply must be confirmed with SOSA before an estate-wide commitment. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Buy on volume, calibrate on foot, and resist levelling the small stores up to the flagship. Ambient scent here is a presentation decision like lighting, seating or case layout; it is never used to cover or neutralise another smell, and a branch with a fit-out, carpet, damp or corridor-ingress problem fixes the building first. Bulk pricing, GST and corporate invoicing, AMC, warranty, installation, minimum order and multi-site rollout support are not published terms and must be confirmed with SOSA before any estate purchase order. Ask for a retail scenting plan before you spend anything.

A note from Sonal
The version of this question I get most often has a spreadsheet attached, and the spreadsheet has one machine repeated down every row. I understand why - a single line item is easier to approve, easier to explain and easier to audit. But it puts a ₹11,999 machine into a 400 sq ft room, and then somebody turns that machine down to its lowest setting because the room is unbearable at anything else, and the store has paid ten thousand rupees for a device it is deliberately preventing from working. What I would rather receive is a store list with two columns on it, carpet area and ceiling height, because volume is what a machine actually serves.
The reframe is that consistency is a property of the rooms, not of the purchase order. Your customers move between your stores with a memory of a room, not of a specification. So fix the profile, fix the perceived level, and let the hardware vary as the buildings vary. I will happily send you a plan with three different products on it, because that is what an estate spanning 400 to 2,000 sq ft honestly needs, and I would rather explain the mix than sell you five machines that will spend their lives switched down. I would rather explain a three-line purchase order once than watch five machines spend their working lives switched down to almost nothing.
Concretely: a reed at ₹849 or a Sukoon at ₹1,899 under about 750 sq ft, a Vaayu at ₹11,999 past about 1,500, and a judgement call in between that turns on whether there is a lobby or a lounge to reach. ₹69,490 for the worked ten-store estate above. Ask us about bulk terms, invoicing, AMC and refill continuity before you commit - none of it is published. Made in India, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. And keep the smallest stores quieter than the flagship rather than louder, because in a small room the fragrance sits closer to the customer and closer to the advisor.
Frequently asked questions
Our watch stores range from 400 to 2,000 sq ft - how do we keep the same fragrance identity?
By fixing the profile and the perceived level and letting the hardware vary. Identity is what the room smells of and how quietly it does it, and neither of those is a model number. Under about 750 sq ft the honest machine is a Sukoon at Rs 1,899 or a reed at Rs 849; past about 1,500 sq ft it is a Vaayu at Rs 11,999. Two different machines can produce the same room to walk into. Nobody has ever stood in one of your boutiques and perceived a model number; they perceive a room, and two very different machines can produce the same room.
Should we just buy the same machine for every store?
No. A Vaayu is rated to 1000 cubic metres, roughly 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft, so in a 400 sq ft store it is five or six times the machine the room can use and will be turned down to almost nothing to be bearable. That is about Rs 10,100 per small store spent on nothing. Buy on volume, and put the difference into lighting, which does more for how a small boutique feels. There is an operational cost to over-buying as well: a machine held at its lowest setting for years is a device you are deliberately preventing from working.
What goes in the 750 to 1,500 sq ft stores?
It depends on shape rather than size. One open trading room stays on a Sukoon at Rs 1,899. A store with an entrance lobby, a private client lounge or central AC to mount into moves up to a Vaayu at Rs 11,999, because at that point you are buying distribution rather than coverage - a wall or HVAC mount reaches parts of the store no free-standing unit will. Ask every store for carpet area and ceiling height together, because a double-height entrance void will move a store a full band on its own.
What does a ten-store mixed estate cost?
A worked estate: five single-room stores of 400 to 1,100 sq ft on a Sukoon each at Rs 1,899, and five stores of 1,200 to 2,000 sq ft on a Vaayu each at Rs 11,999. That is Rs 69,490 of hardware. Bulk pricing, corporate or GST invoicing, AMC, warranty, installation, minimum order and multi-site rollout support are not published terms and must be confirmed with SOSA before a purchase order. The mix will look untidy on a purchase order, and it is the correct specification rather than a compromise.
How do we check the stores actually match?
On foot, and on the same day where you can. Someone walks in from the street at each store and asks whether they notice a fragrance or simply a room that somebody looks after - the second is the pass, and the dial moves until the answer is the same everywhere. Nobody standing inside a store can judge it, because a nose adapts within about twenty minutes, which is exactly why levels only ever drift upward. Do it in the morning before the store warms up and again in the afternoon, because the same setting reads differently once the AC has run for several hours.
No schedule at all: A Mountain Breeze reed at ₹849 suits the very smallest stores, flipped weekly, with 130ml at ₹1,349 lasting 14-18 weeks.

About this guide: Written by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles-trained founder and perfumer at SOSA Home & Body. Product recommendations reflect the SOSA range; the planning advice applies to any brand.
Facts verified 5 September 2026 against the live SOSA product pages: the SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is a waterless cold-air nebuliser rated to 1000m³, described by the manufacturer as approximately 2,000-3,000 sq ft, with adjustable intensity, a 400ml refillable tank lasting 90+ days a fill depending on intensity and run hours, Bluetooth app and button control, 1h/4h/8h/24h timers, operation under 38dB at 5W, freestanding or wall and HVAC mounting, auto-stop and key-lock, and CE, RoHS and SGS certification, which are electrical and compliance marks and not medical approvals. Being waterless, it adds no moisture and leaves no residue on surfaces or equipment. The SOSA Sukoon (₹1,899) is an ultrasonic cool-mist diffuser covering roughly 270-320 sq ft and is supplied with three 15ml fragrances; the water-based Hotel Collection (₹299 / ₹999 / ₹1,799) is an ultrasonic fragrance and is not a refill for a waterless cold-air machine. SOSA reed diffusers are alcohol-free and phthalate-free, with 50ml lasting about 6-8 weeks and 130ml about 14-18 weeks. Cold-air refill oil for the Vaayu is not currently sold separately - the machine ships with 400ml included and further refills should be confirmed with SOSA. Warranty, annual maintenance, installation and bulk terms are not published and should be confirmed before ordering. Ambient scent is an interior and hospitality decision: it makes no clinical, therapeutic or wellbeing claim, it works alongside proper ventilation, cleaning and infection control and is never a substitute for any of them, it is never used to mask another smell, and no claim is made that fragrance influences a patient's decision or any commercial outcome. Clinical areas including procedure, post-procedure and photography rooms are left unscented, and the treating clinician's judgement overrides any scenting plan in their own room. The hotel-inspired scents are SOSA's own original interpretations; SOSA is an independent brand and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any hotel named for reference. Coverage, fragrance usage and running cost depend on the space, settings and hours of use, and are confirmed on a consultation. Prices and availability are subject to change - see the live product pages.
