Three different objects, and the choice between them is settled by two numbers rather than by taste. How many rooms are in play and how large they are sets the row. What you are willing to spend picks between the cells that row leaves open. The bottle ladder runs from ₹749 for one 50ml to ₹2,598 for two 130ml, the Sukoon machine sits at ₹1,899, and Vaayu at ₹11,999 answers a question about air rather than about rooms. Here is the whole grid, cell by cell.
SOSA Sukoon ultrasonic cool-mist diffuser, Rs 1,899, water-based machine
SOSA Sukoon ultrasonic cool-mist diffuser · water-based, Hotel Collection from ₹299 ₹1,899 →
The cell on this grid people do not expect. Sukoon, ₹1,899 - an ultrasonic cool-mist machine that sits below the ₹2,498 130ml duo on price while being a different kind of object altogether. It is water-based, it runs the Hotel Collection from ₹299, and it wants water and power topped up every week. Worth knowing before you read a lower number as a better gift.
Quick answers — read this first
How do property size and budget decide between one reed diffuser, two, and a scenting machine? Property size sets the row and budget picks the cell inside it. One room in use means one bottle, ₹749 to ₹1,349. Two rooms of similar size means a duo set, ₹1,498 to ₹1,598 in 50ml and ₹2,498 to ₹2,598 in 130ml. A machine belongs only where the home is one connected volume of air rather than a set of closed rooms.

Is the Rs 1,899 Sukoon machine a better use of money than a 50ml duo set? It is a different object, not a better one. Sukoon at ₹1,899 is ultrasonic cool-mist and water-based, running the Hotel Collection from ₹299, and it wants water and power every week. A 50ml duo at ₹1,498 to ₹1,598 asks nothing of anybody. Interestingly, Sukoon sits below the 130ml duo on price.

What is the right choice for a large open-plan home? If the doors are genuinely open and it is one body of air, that is the machine tier: Megh ₹5,999 or Vaayu ₹11,999. If the home is large but sectioned into closed rooms, it is still a room-by-room job, and two 130ml bottles at ₹2,498 to ₹2,598 handle two of those rooms rather than the house.
The short answer
Short answer: Rooms set the row, money picks the cell. One room in use means one bottle at Rs 749 to Rs 1,349. Two rooms of similar size means a duo at Rs 1,498 to Rs 1,598 in 50ml or Rs 2,498 to Rs 2,598 in 130ml. A machine only makes sense where the air is one connected volume, and it asks for water and power every week.
The pick: A 50ml duo from ₹1,498 for a two-room flat. One 130ml at ₹1,249 where a single large room is honestly the whole of it. Sukoon ₹1,899 only for somebody who will actually refill a machine.
Why: The money axis inside the bottle range has only four stops between ₹749 and ₹2,598, and one gap in the middle of it, so the row you are on usually leaves you two cells rather than ten.
Sending something when somebody is having a hard time - at a glanceKeep it small - candle ₹399, attar ₹379, car scent ₹449For their home - reed diffuser ₹749, nothing to switch onSay the words yourself - no card goes in the parcelNever - a parcel instead of turning up
A gift cannot change how somebody's week went, and a page that suggests otherwise is not worth reading. What a small parcel does is tell a person you were thinking about them on a day when nothing made you - which is a real thing to say, and worth saying. Keep it small, because a large one asks somebody already short of energy to produce a reaction, and send the words separately, because the object cannot carry them.
Straight answer
For someone's new home, how should property size and gifting budget decide between one reed diffuser, two, and a larger scenting machine?
Build it as a grid and the argument stops being a matter of opinion. Down the side: rooms. One room in daily use, two rooms of similar size, two rooms of unequal size, three or more rooms, or a home that is really one connected volume of open air. Across the top: money. Under ₹1,000, ₹1,000 to ₹1,400, ₹1,500 to ₹1,600, around ₹2,000, and ₹2,500 to ₹2,600. Now the cells. One room and under ₹1,000 is one 50ml at ₹749 to ₹849. One large room and ₹1,000 to ₹1,400 is one 130ml at ₹1,249 to ₹1,349. Two small-to-medium rooms and ₹1,500 to ₹1,600 is a 50ml duo at ₹1,498, ₹1,548 or ₹1,598. Two genuinely large rooms and ₹2,500 to ₹2,600 is a 130ml duo at ₹2,498 to ₹2,598. One large room plus one small one has no published set at all, because every duo is two bottles of the same size, so that cell is two separate bottles at roughly ₹1,998 to ₹2,198 by your own arithmetic off the published prices. All five scents run about 6 to 10 weeks in either size, which is the only duration figure published, and no square-footage rating is published for any reed diffuser, so every room word here is guidance rather than a specification. A portion of every SOSA order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.
Choose the row before you look at the money. Reading the grid the other way round is exactly how two 130ml bottles end up in two small closed bedrooms, and then in a corridor.
The cell most new-home questions land in: a 50ml duo from ₹1,498 for two small-to-medium rooms. The 130ml duo at ₹2,498 is the next row down the grid, not the next column across.
Reed duo sets from ₹1,498

The grid: rooms down one side, money across the other

Two variables, and only two, decide this. Work out the row first, because the row is what tells you how many of the columns are even available to you. Everything else about the gift, including which scent, is a separate question that this page deliberately does not touch.

1
The rows
Count the rooms in daily use, not the bedrooms on the floor plan
A 3BHK where two people spend every evening in one living room is a one-room property for this purpose. A 2BHK where somebody works from the second bedroom is a two-room property. The plan is not the unit; habit is.

So walk the rows. One room in use takes one bottle, and the only remaining question is whether that room is small, medium or large. Two rooms of similar size is the row a duo set was built for, and it is the commonest row for a home somebody has just moved into, where no room has a habit attached to it yet. Two rooms of unequal size is the awkward row, because every published duo is two bottles of the same size and a large-plus-small pairing is simply not sold as a box. Three or more rooms has no box either: there is no three-bottle set, so that is a 50ml duo plus a separate single, roughly ₹2,247 by public arithmetic, turning up as two products rather than one.

The last row is not a room count at all. If the doors in the home genuinely stay open and the hall, living and dining run together, you are no longer dealing with rooms. That row belongs to the machine tier and is worth reading separately further down.
Tip: The row is decided by where somebody actually sits, not by how many doors the property has.
2
The columns
The money axis is short, and there is a gap in the middle of it
There are fewer columns than most gifting budgets assume. In the bottle range the whole axis is one 50ml ₹749 to ₹849, one 130ml ₹1,249 to ₹1,349, a 50ml duo ₹1,498 to ₹1,598 and a 130ml duo ₹2,498 to ₹2,598. Four stops. That is the axis.

Between the third stop and the fourth, no reed diffuser and no duo set is published between ₹1,598 and ₹2,398. The ₹1,899 Sukoon machine does sit inside that band, and a 300ml refill at ₹2,399 sits at the top of it, but a refill is a continuation for somebody who already owns a bottle and not a gift in its own right. So a budget of around ₹2,000 has two honest answers and neither of them is a bottle costing ₹2,000: the 50ml duo coming in comfortably under the number, or two separate bottles landing on it.

Which is why the money axis cannot drag you down a row. Having ₹2,598 available does not create a second large room. If the row says two small bedrooms and the column says ₹2,598, the correct cell is still the 50ml duo and the correct answer to the leftover money is to keep it.
3
The cells
Every cell on the grid, including the three that are empty
One small or medium room. Under ₹1,000, one 50ml at ₹749 to ₹849. There is no better use of a larger budget in this cell; a 130ml here is simply too much for the room.

One large room. ₹1,249 to ₹1,349 for one 130ml. Above that the cell is empty until you add a second room, because the next rung up the ladder is a second bottle rather than a bigger one.

Two small-to-medium rooms. A 50ml duo at ₹1,498, ₹1,548 or ₹1,598, already one box with nothing to put together. This is where most new-home questions land.

Two large rooms. A 130ml duo at ₹2,498, ₹2,548 or ₹2,598. Buy it because you have stood in both rooms, not because the number is bigger.

One large plus one small. Empty. No published set mixes sizes, so this is one 130ml and one 50ml bought separately, roughly ₹1,998 to ₹2,198 by your own sum off the retail prices, and it turns up as two products.

Three or more rooms. Also empty as a box: a 50ml duo plus a single, around ₹2,247 on the same public arithmetic.

One connected volume of open air. Not a bottle cell at all. That is the machine tier.
Tip: Three cells on this grid have no published box in them, and saying so is more useful than inventing one.
SOSA Fresh and Grounded reed diffuser duo gift set, Rs 1,548
The idea this whole question turns on
A duo is a second room, not a bigger gift for the same room
The 50ml duo sets are ₹1,498, ₹1,548 and ₹1,598 for two 50ml bottles - which is two small-to-medium rooms, not one room handled twice as hard. The 130ml duos at ₹2,498 to ₹2,598 are two large rooms. So the question to answer before the price is how many rooms you actually want handled, and how big they are. Somebody in a one-bedroom flat who spends every evening in the living room does not need a second bottle; somebody who has just taken possession of a 3BHK where every room smells of paint does.
See the SOSA reed duo sets →
Work it out in this order
Fill in the grid for this specific home in about four minutes
  1. Count rooms in daily use, not bedrooms on the plan. That number is your row.
  2. Size each room. Small or medium takes 50ml; only a large room takes 130ml.
  3. Two matched rooms is a duo. One large plus one small is two separate bottles.
  4. Go to a machine only if the doors stay open and the air is one volume.
The SOSA principle
The two axes are not interchangeable. Property size can move you to a cell the budget cannot reach, but a budget can never move you to a cell the property does not have. Money buys the bottle you have already been told to buy, faster, and nothing else.
Which is why a grid is the honest way to present this and a price list is not. A price list invites you to read upward. A grid makes you find your row first.

Reading the ladder, and the two cells people get wrong

Scent is a third axis and this page is not using it, which is deliberate: property size and money settle the format and the size, and the fragrance decision sits on top of whatever they leave you. For completeness, the five are Morning Freshness Malabar lemon and mint at ₹749, Garden Bloom British rose and night jasmine and Evening Calm Himalayan lavender and chamomile at ₹799, and Mountain Breeze pine, sage and cedar and Fresh Brew Coorg coffee and vanilla at ₹849. Evening Calm is the name printed on a bottle of lavender and chamomile and describes what is inside it rather than anything it does. The three duo pairings are fixed - Day & Night ₹1,498, Fresh & Grounded ₹1,548 and Warmth & Bloom ₹1,598 - and no set is composed to order, so if the pairing you had in mind is not one of those three, your cell is two separate bottles.

The SOSA gift edit
The four rows of the grid, and the point at which each one fails
The option Who it suits, and where it fails
One reed, 50ml or 130ml · ₹749 to ₹1,349 The row for a studio, a hostel room, a rented single room or a home where one living area is genuinely all anybody uses. About 6 to 10 weeks, no flame, no socket, no upkeep. It fails the moment the property has a second room somebody spends real time in, because then the gift handles a fraction of the home and reads as a start rather than as the thing.
A 50ml duo set · ₹1,498 to ₹1,598 Two 50ml bottles in one box, for two small-to-medium rooms, and the cell most new-home gifting lands in. Nothing to assemble and nothing asked of the recipient. It fails where the two rooms are genuinely large, where one bottle is plainly enough, and where you needed a pairing that is not one of the three published sets.
A 130ml duo set · ₹2,498 to ₹2,598 The same three pairings in the larger bottle, for two large rooms such as an open living and dining area plus a big main bedroom. It fails badly in two small closed bedrooms, where both bottles get relocated within a week, and it is the wrong way to answer a budget that simply happens to be above ₹1,598.
A machine · ₹1,899 to ₹11,999 Sukoon ₹1,899 and Boond ₹899 are ultrasonic and water-based, running the ₹299 Hotel Collection; Megh is ₹5,999 and Vaayu ₹11,999. It fails as a gift for anybody who did not ask for a device, because it wants water, power and attention every week, and the large one fails outright in a flat with the doors shut.
SOSA Warmth and Bloom reed diffuser duo gift set, Rs 1,598
The three pairings, and the one trade inside them
Three sets exist, the pairings are fixed, and one of them has no refill path
Day & Night ₹1,498 is lemon-mint with lavender-chamomile. Fresh & Grounded ₹1,548 is lemon-mint with pine, sage and cedar - the least sweet and the least floral of the three. Warmth & Bloom ₹1,598 is coffee-vanilla with rose and night jasmine, the most declarative. A set cannot be composed to order, so any other pairing is two separate bottles rather than a box. And one real trade: refills at ₹2,399 and ₹3,499 are published for four of the five scents, but not for Evening Calm - which is half of the cheapest set.
Compare the three duo sets →

Two things about the far end of the grid that are easy to get wrong. First, Sukoon at ₹1,899 is genuinely interesting on a tier page because it sits below the 130ml duo on price while being a completely different kind of object: ultrasonic cool-mist, water-based, running the Hotel Collection from ₹299, and needing water and power topped up week after week. That upkeep is a real ask of somebody who did not choose it, and it is the whole reason a cheaper machine is not automatically a better gift than a dearer pair of bottles. Second, the big one. Vaayu at ₹11,999 is waterless cold-air nebulising with a Bluetooth app and timer, a 400 ML tank, DC 12V/1A 5W and CE, RoHS and SGS marks, and it is rated for approximately 1000 m3 of connected air. That word does the work. The rating assumes one continuous body of air, so it belongs in a large open home or a business and is the wrong object entirely for a flat or a house with the doors shut, however large the floor plan says it is. Vaayu takes waterless nebuliser oil at ₹1,049 for 100 gm and ₹1,849 for 300 gm, and never the ₹299 water-based bottle.

SOSA Day and Night reed diffuser duo gift set, Rs 1,498
Morning Freshness lemon-mint with Evening Calm lavender-chamomile. The cheapest of the three at ₹1,498, and the one whose second bottle publishes no refill - worth knowing before you choose on price alone.
₹1,498 · 50ml x 2
SOSA Fresh and Grounded reed diffuser duo gift set, Rs 1,548
Lemon-mint with Himalayan pine, sage and cedar at ₹1,548. The least floral and the least sweet of the three pairings, which makes it the safest of them to send into a home you have never stood in.
₹1,548 · 50ml x 2
SOSA Warmth and Bloom reed diffuser duo gift set, Rs 1,598
Coorg coffee-vanilla with British rose and night jasmine at ₹1,598. The most declarative pairing in the range, and the one that most reads as chosen rather than as household supply.
₹1,598 · 50ml x 2
When the answer is a machine rather than more bottles
A bottle asks nothing. A machine asks for water, power and attention every week
Two reed diffusers cover two rooms. Nothing in the reed range covers a whole home, and no square-footage rating is published for any of them. If a home genuinely needs more than rooms handled one at a time, that is a machine question. Sukoon at ₹1,899 and Boond at ₹899 are ultrasonic cool-mist machines running the water-based Hotel Collection from ₹299 - they need water, a socket and refilling, which is a real ask of somebody who did not choose them. SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 is the waterless one: cold-air nebulising of undiluted oil, rated for approximately 1000 m3 of connected air, with a Bluetooth app and timer, a 400ml tank, freestanding or wall and HVAC mounting, DC 12V / 1A 5W mains power and CE, RoHS and SGS marks. That rating assumes one connected body of air, so a Vaayu suits a large open home or a business and is the wrong gift for a three-bedroom flat with every door closed. Vaayu runs waterless nebuliser oil at ₹1,049 for 100 gm and ₹1,849 for 300 gm and never takes the ₹299 water-based bottle. All of it adds a scent to a space; none of it removes one.

A budget cannot create a second room. Every expensive mistake in home-fragrance gifting starts with somebody reading the price list upward instead of finding their row first.

The SOSA gifting range

Two questions settle almost every reed diffuser gift, and the first one is not price. How big is the room it is going into? A 50ml suits a bedroom, a study, a hallway or a first diffuser; a 130ml suits an open-plan living and dining area, and it is genuinely too much for a small closed bedroom. Then: how much do you actually know about their taste? The less you know, the less declarative the scent should be - Morning Freshness is the safest of the five for a home you have never stood in, and Fresh Brew coffee-vanilla is the strongest opinion in the range. Price follows those two answers rather than leading them.

The SOSA home fragrance ladder

SOSA reed duo sets, 130ml x 2 The same three pairings, larger ₹2,498, ₹2,548 and ₹2,598 - for two genuinely large rooms, and too much for two small closed bedrooms from ₹2,498

SOSA reed refills 300ml and 500ml ₹2,399 and ₹3,499, published for four of the five scents - Evening Calm publishes none, which matters if the gift was the Day & Night duo ₹2,399 / ₹3,499
SOSA Sukoon Ultrasonic cool-mist machine ₹1,899 plus water-based Hotel Collection fragrance from ₹299 - a machine asks for water and power every week, which a bottle never does ₹1,899

There are three duo sets and only three, and the pairings are fixed - a set cannot be composed to order, so any other pairing is simply two separate bottles. There is no three-bottle or four-bottle set, and SOSA has no hamper, gift box, wrapping, ribbon or message-card service; the only branding available anywhere is a custom label or logo on product. All five reeds run about 6 to 10 weeks, which is the only duration SOSA publishes, and no square-footage rating is published for any reed. Prices above are published retail prices; bulk orders are welcome and quantities are settled on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 rather than priced on a page. The honest price sheet
The published ladder, including the gap in it
Everything below is on the live product pages. Anything not on this list is not something a page like this should state.
  • One 50ml reed - Morning Freshness ₹749, Garden Bloom and Evening Calm ₹799, Mountain Breeze and Fresh Brew ₹849. One 130ml reed - ₹1,249 to ₹1,349. All five run about 6 to 10 weeks in either size, because the larger bottle is for a larger room and not for a longer life.
  • The three duo sets - Day & Night ₹1,498, Fresh & Grounded ₹1,548 and Warmth & Bloom ₹1,598 as two 50ml bottles; ₹2,498, ₹2,548 and ₹2,598 as two 130ml bottles. These three pairings are the whole set range - a set is not composed to order, and there is no three-bottle or four-bottle set.
  • The gap worth knowing about - the ladder runs one 50ml ₹749, one 130ml ₹1,249, a 50ml duo ₹1,498, then no reed diffuser and no duo set published between ₹1,598 and ₹2,398 (the ₹1,899 Sukoon machine sits in that band, but it is a machine and not a bottle), then a 130ml duo ₹2,498. A budget of about ₹2,000 is therefore answered by the 50ml duo coming in under it, not by stretching to the larger set - the larger set is a room-size decision.
  • Refills - 300ml ₹2,399 and 500ml ₹3,499, published for four of the five scents. Evening Calm publishes no refill, and Evening Calm is one of the two bottles in the ₹1,498 Day & Night duo - so the cheapest set is the one whose second bottle has no published continuation.
  • Machines, if rooms are not the unit - Boond ₹899 and Sukoon ₹1,899 run the water-based Hotel Collection from ₹299 and need water, power and refilling. Vaayu ₹11,999 is waterless, rated for approximately 1000 m3 of connected air. Megh ₹5,999.
  • Not published, and therefore never stated here: any square-footage or room-volume rating for a reed diffuser, any duration other than about 6 to 10 weeks, how often reeds should be turned, any bulk rate, minimum order quantity, slab or volume discount, any dispatch or delivery timing, any case pack or carton size, any claim about how a recipient will feel, and any claim that a gift changes a business result. Those go to WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.

A note from Sonal

The question I get most often about the duo sets is not about scent. It is a slightly embarrassed version of: will one bottle look cheap? And I understand it, because a single 50ml reed in a box is a small object to hand to somebody whose house you have just walked into for the first time.

But the honest answer is that a duo is not a bigger gift. It is a second room. That is the whole difference, and it is a much more useful way to think about it than price. If the person you are buying for lives in a one-bedroom flat and spends their evenings in the living room, the second bottle does not make the gift better - it makes the gift into something they have to find a home for. If they have just moved into a 3BHK and every room smells of paint, the second bottle is the point.

Where I would push back hardest is on the 130ml duo. People reach for it because it is the most expensive thing in the reed range and it feels like the safest way to be generous. The 130ml is the large room's bottle, not the better bottle. Two of them in two small closed bedrooms is not a generous gift; it is two rooms nobody wants to sit in. A 50ml duo at ₹1,498 in the right two rooms beats a 130ml duo at ₹2,498 in the wrong two, every single time.

And the part I will not pretend about: there are three pairings and they are fixed. I cannot put Garden Bloom and Evening Calm in a box for you. If that is the combination you want, it is two bottles rather than a set, and it is worth knowing that before you decide whether the box mattered to you in the first place.

Frequently asked questions

How do I decide between one diffuser, two diffusers and a scenting machine?
Work out the property first. One room in daily use takes one bottle at Rs 749 to Rs 1,349. Two rooms of similar size takes a duo set at Rs 1,498 to Rs 1,598 in 50ml or Rs 2,498 to Rs 2,598 in 130ml. A machine is only right where the home is one connected body of open air, and it needs water and power every week, which is a real ask of somebody who did not choose it.
I have about Rs 2,000 to spend. What does that buy?
No reed diffuser and no duo set is published between Rs 1,598 and Rs 2,398, so there is nothing sitting at exactly Rs 2,000. The two honest answers are a 50ml duo at Rs 1,498 to Rs 1,598, which comes in under the number, or one 130ml plus one 50ml bought separately at roughly Rs 1,998 to Rs 2,198 by your own arithmetic. Do not stretch to the 130ml duo just to use the budget up.
The home has one large living room and one small bedroom. Which set covers that?
None of them. Every published duo is two bottles of the same size, so a large room plus a small room is not sold as a box. That is one 130ml at Rs 1,249 to Rs 1,349 and one 50ml at Rs 749 to Rs 849, bought separately, roughly Rs 1,998 to Rs 2,198 in total. It turns up as two products rather than one, and it is still the right answer for those two rooms.
Is Sukoon at Rs 1,899 a better gift than a duo set, since it costs less than the 130ml duo?
It is cheaper and it is not the same kind of thing. Sukoon is ultrasonic cool-mist and water-based, running the Hotel Collection from Rs 299, and it wants water, power and refilling every week. A duo set wants nothing. For a home somebody has just moved into, that difference usually matters more than the Rs 600 between them.
Would Vaayu at Rs 11,999 be the right gift for a big new house?
Only if the air inside it is connected. Vaayu is waterless cold-air nebulising with a Bluetooth app and timer, a 400 ML tank and a rating of approximately 1000 m3 of connected air, and that rating assumes one continuous volume. In a large house where the doors stay shut, it is the wrong object no matter how large the floor plan is. It runs waterless nebuliser oil at Rs 1,049 per 100 gm, never the Rs 299 water-based bottle.

About commercial terms: the prices above are published retail prices. SOSA publishes no bulk or wholesale rate, no minimum order quantity, no volume slab or discount, no dispatch or delivery window, no order cut-off, no payment or credit term, no rate card, no case pack, no carton size and no unit weight, and none is stated anywhere on this page; bulk orders are welcome and are discussed on WhatsApp. The only branding available is a custom label or logo on product - there is no custom box, printed sleeve, insert card, gift wrap, ribbon, message card or hamper service. SOSA has no shop, showroom, stockist, counter or warehouse in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mysuru or any other city, and nothing on this page should be read as claiming one; where a city is named, it refers to the homes and the buyers in that city and nothing more. Limits of this guide: fragrance adds a scent and does not remove, neutralise, mask or purify odour, and no SOSA product makes any health, antibacterial, air-purifying or wellbeing claim. No claim is made anywhere on this page about mood, stress, calm, sleep, comfort or wellbeing: fragrance is a scent, not a treatment, and where a product name contains a word such as Calm that is a name and not an effect. No claim is made about how any recipient will feel about a gift, and no claim is made that a gift changes any business result - not a satisfaction score, repeat business, referrals, reviews, retention or recall.
