2. Two at ₹3,798 is the sensible minimum. Living/dining and master bedroom. That is a legitimate stopping point provided you can name the room you are leaving out — and in almost every flat it is the second bedroom.
3. Nine 15ml Hotel Collection bottles arrive with three machines. Three of your choice with each unit, which is what changes the arithmetic of the second and third purchase: ₹5,697 buys three machines and a fragrance wardrobe deep enough to run a different scent in every room and still rotate by season.

Step one: how many machines, and where
SOSA makes several home and commercial scenting systems and exactly two of them are relevant to a 2BHK — the Sukoon and, for a bathroom, the Boond. Everything else in the range exists because a 1,000 sq ft flat and a 15,000 sq ft lobby are not the same problem, and I would rather say plainly which parts of the catalogue you can ignore than let a comparison table imply you need them. The deciding number is 270–320 sq ft. The deciding concept is the enclosed air mass: fragrance is stopped by doors long before it is exhausted by distance, which is why the same 1,000 sq ft would need one machine as a loft and three as a 2BHK.
Step two: the three-fragrance wardrobe
This is where a 2BHK differs most from a smaller flat and where the money is best spent. All seven Hotel Collection scents are water-based and formulated for ultrasonic diffusers; all seven are good. But you now own three rooms, so the question is not which scent you like best — it is which three put the greatest useful distance between the room you arrive in, the room you sleep in and the room somebody else sleeps in. Step three: budget, staging, and what to skip
At ₹749 a reed diffuser scents a corner of one room, with no socket and no routine — the honest floor of the range and a reasonable thing to live with. At ₹1,899 you have one Sukoon with three 15ml Hotel Collection bottles of your choice, which does the living/dining properly and leaves both bedrooms exactly as they were; in a 2BHK that is a partial setup rather than a modest one, and I would rather say so. At ₹3,497 that single machine is joined by a reed duo set at ₹1,598 covering both bedrooms — the honest budget version of a scented flat, and better than any single machine at any price. At ₹3,798 you have two Sukoons with six bottles between them, which is the sensible minimum here: the two rooms that hold most of your day, each behind its own door. And at ₹5,697 you have three machines and nine bottles, which is the complete answer for this home.
Above that, the money goes into fragrance rather than hardware, which is the correct direction in a flat this size. At ₹7,496 three machines are joined by either a 300ml 300ml refill at ₹1,799 — your everyday scent at roughly ₹6 per ml against about ₹20 per ml in 15ml bottles, so you stop rationing it — or the Pack of 7 × 15ml at ₹1,799, which is every scent in the range at about ₹17 per ml and enough variety to run a dry trio through the hot months and a warmer one through winter. Three machines plus a refill plus a Boond at ₹899 for the bathroom is ₹8,395, and taking every line including the Pack of 7 comes to ₹10,194. Staging works unusually cleanly here because nothing you buy first is superseded: the second and third machines are the same unit at the same price, the fragrances move freely between every tank, and a refill bought today serves a machine you have not bought yet. Buy the living/dining first, the master bedroom within a few weeks, and the second bedroom when the room's life changes.
What to skip, plainly. A fourth Sukoon — a 2BHK has three enclosed rooms and a bathroom, and the bathroom wants a ₹899 Boond rather than a ₹1,899 machine. The Megh at ₹3,499 — a genuinely good 6-litre unit whose large tank solves refill frequency in one big room, which is not the problem you have; it still occupies exactly one room. The Vaayu at ₹11,999 — a waterless cold-air nebuliser running undiluted oil, rated for up to 1000m³, with a Bluetooth app and timer and under 38dB. It is the best machine we make for its job, and its job is connected volume: long open floors, corridors that flow into living space, homes built without many internal doors. A 2BHK is the opposite kind of home, and a partition is a wall the finest nebuliser in the world will not cross. Aangan at ₹25,999 and Meenar at ₹38,500 are HVAC systems for 8,000–10,000 and 12,000–18,000 sq ft — hotels and showrooms rather than homes. The 2BHK is the home I get the most confused questions about, and I think it is because it sits exactly on the line where two kinds of advice both sound reasonable. It is small enough that three machines feels excessive and large enough that one feels obviously thin. So people split the difference, buy one good unit, put it in the living room and hope — and then quietly conclude that home fragrance does not really work.
What I would say instead is that this is the first home where the honest recommendation has a range in it. Two is the minimum, three is the answer, and the gap between them is one bedroom nobody has decided about yet. Buy two now if that is what the month allows; the machines cost the same in November as they do today, nothing you buy first becomes redundant, and the fragrances move between tanks. Add the third when the quiet room starts to annoy you, and put three different scents in the three tanks, because the change at each door is the entire point. What I will not do is sell you a ₹11,999 machine for a flat with three internal doors, however much better it would look on an invoice.
