Is zero machines a compromise? No. A 3BHK fully served by reeds is a complete setup, and it has advantages a machine does not: nothing to fill, nothing to schedule, and no setting that can drift upward.
When is one machine justified? When you want the hall level to change with time, or you host often enough that building a level before guests arrive matters. That is the only thing a reed cannot do.
One, or zero, and zero is a real answer
The answer is one or zero, and this page exists mainly to argue that zero is a real answer rather than a budget answer, because most people assume a flat with three bedrooms must need at least one machine and that assumption costs money for no gain. Start by counting what a machine could possibly serve. A 3BHK is seven volumes: the hall, three bedrooms, and two or three bathrooms. Six of those are behind closed doors - bedrooms shut for privacy and air conditioning, bathrooms shut permanently - and a machine distributes fragrance through connected moving air and cannot cross a closed door at any price or setting. So every one of those six rooms is served by a passive source no matter what else you buy. That is not a limitation of any particular machine; it is what a closed door does. Which leaves the hall. One room. And a reed diffuser at Rs 749 to Rs 849 serves a hall perfectly well, distributing evenly in a room of ordinary size, running three to four months on a bottle, needing no power and no schedule. So the entire machine question in a 3BHK reduces to a single narrow query: does the hall need to do something a bottle cannot? There is exactly one such thing, and it is timing. A reed releases at a roughly constant rate and has no idea what hour it is. A machine can put the level where the value actually sits - quieter at three in the afternoon, present at seven in the evening when somebody walks in from outside with an unadapted nose, and built up before guests arrive. That capability is real and worth paying for if you want it. If you do not, a machine adds cost, a maintenance task and a setting that can drift, in exchange for nothing you will perceive. So zero is the correct number when three things are true. First, a constant low level in the hall is acceptable to you - and for most households it is, since everybody living there adapts within about an hour and perceives very little of the background regardless. Second, you do not host often enough that building a level before guests matters. Third, and this one deserves an honest answer rather than an optimistic one, nobody in the household will reliably keep a tank filled and rinsed. A tank is refilled every few days depending on run time and rinsed when the fragrance changes. That is a few minutes a week done indefinitely, and small recurring household tasks decay in a predictable way: reliable while the object is new, intermittent after a month, abandoned in the first difficult week. If that describes your household, a tank machine will sit dry and the routine will end. A waterless unit avoids the tank problem, but at flat scale the waterless option in our range is the Vaayu at Rs 11,999, which is rated for up to 1,000 square metres of connected air - roughly 10,700 square feet - and is simply not a flat product. Six or seven bottles, then, is a finished 3BHK rather than a shortcut, and it carries two advantages a machine does not. Nothing needs doing to it for three to four months. And nothing in it can drift upward, because there is no setting for an adapted nose to raise - which matters more than it sounds, since the ratchet by which sensible households end up with heavy homes runs entirely through adjustable settings. One machine, then, for the hall, if you want timing: a Sukoon at Rs 1,799 for an ordinary hall, or a Megh at Rs 3,499 with its 6L tank for a genuinely large open living-dining. And never two. There is no second connected volume in a 3BHK; the passage is a corridor nobody sits in and every room off it is sealed, so a second machine would have nowhere useful to go. If you find yourself considering one, the money does far more as better fragrance and spares: Hotel Collection from Rs 299, with a spare bottle kept in a cupboard so the register never lapses on a Tuesday and stays lapsed for three weeks.
When zero is correct
When zero is correct. The six sealed volumes, on bottles regardless of what else you buy: a reed diffuser in each bathroom, the best value in the flat, and one in each bedroom at the lightest level in the home from a source the occupant can move, cap or take out of the room without asking anybody - Morning Freshness at Rs 749, Garden Bloom at Rs 799, Evening Calm at Rs 799, Fresh Brew at Rs 849, Mountain Breeze at Rs 849, three to four months per bottle, refills at Rs 2,399 for 300ml and Rs 3,499 for 500ml. Plus one just inside the entrance, the highest-value position in the flat, permanent rather than scheduled: a reed or the SOSA Boond at Rs 799. The hall, the only room a machine could serve: another reed if a constant low level is acceptable, you do not host often, or nobody will reliably keep a tank filled and rinsed - in which case six or seven bottles is a finished flat with nothing to switch on and nothing that can drift. The SOSA Sukoon at Rs 1,799 if you want the hall level to change with time, or the SOSA Megh at Rs 3,499 with a 6L tank for a genuinely large open living-dining, remembering that a tank is refilled every few days and rinsed between scents. Never two machines: there is no second connected volume in a 3BHK, since the passage is a corridor nobody sits in and every room off it is sealed. Not a flat product at any size: the SOSA Vaayu at Rs 11,999, rated for up to 1,000 m², roughly 10,700 square feet. If you find yourself considering a second machine, the money does more as fragrance and spares: Hotel Collection at Rs 299 for 15ml, Rs 999 for 100ml and Rs 1,799 for 300ml, at three to six drops per tank, rinsing between scents, with a spare kept in a cupboard so the register never lapses. It is not reed diffuser oil and the two are not interchangeable. Never scented: the kitchen at any time, the dining area during a meal, children's rooms, and covered balconies. Everything is alcohol-free and made to IFRA-compliant standards.

Versailles
Most customer gifts are bought to be handed over, not to be kept: the sweet box is finished by the family that evening, the keychain joins a drawer, the branded pen was never really a gift at all. Then the moment that cost your business lakhs to create - the new car, the new home, the big purchase - is remembered with nothing. A fragrance gift keeps that moment alive, because scent is the sense wired closest to memory: months later, your customer is still in the middle of the experience you gave them.
I trained at ISIPCA in Versailles and everything we make is built for Indian lives - car diffusers that survive a Mumbai summer, reed diffusers that hold through the monsoon, alcohol-free formulas safe to gift across every customer profile. If you run a dealership, a project, a hotel, a showroom or a team, message the bulk desk on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 - tell me the customer moment and the volumes, and I will help you design the programme myself. The business conversations are my favourite kind: one good gifting programme teaches me more about a category than a year of retail orders.
And a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali - so your customer gift quietly gives twice. That equation has always felt right to me.
Frequently asked questions
Facts verified August 2026: Olfactory memory research shows scent-linked memories are unusually durable and emotionally vivid, which is why a used-daily fragrance gift sustains brand association in a way consumable or novelty gifts do not; customer-experience research consistently finds that peak moments (delivery, possession, checkout) disproportionately shape how the whole purchase is remembered. Fragrance preference is personal: volume gifting programmes should default to gentle fresh, green and lightly floral registers, and to space formats (diffusers, reeds, car fragrance) rather than skin perfume. SOSA range: Hotel Collection ultrasonic fragrance from Rs 299; car perfumes from Rs 449 (spray and hanging, alcohol-free); attars Nawaab, Ameeri, Mastani and Adaa from Rs 379 (3ml/6ml/12ml, alcohol-free); Attar Trio from Rs 1,055; perfumes from Rs 499; reed diffusers from Rs 749; Boond Rs 799, Sukoon Rs 1,799 and Megh Rs 3,499 ultrasonic diffusers; SOSA Safar waterless car and travel diffuser Rs 3,999 (rechargeable, three hotel-inspired scents included); SOSA Vaayu waterless scent machine Rs 11,999 (~1000m³, app + timer).
