There is a difference between a room that smells nice and a home that has a signature, and almost nobody is told what it is. A room that smells nice is an event: you light a candle, you spray something in the hallway before people arrive, it is lovely for forty minutes and then it is gone. Somewhere else in the house a bathroom gel is doing one thing, a kitchen spray another, and a bedroom reed a third. Four pleasant smells in four rooms is not a fragranced home. It is four rooms.

Which bundle has the most useful spread?
Bundle A, if you are undecided, because it covers the widest range of characters in one box: Ritz-Carlton-inspired and Westin-inspired give you two clean white tea readings, 1 Hotels-inspired gives you the dry green woody direction, and St. Regis-inspired gives you the plush evening one. That means you can try calm, green and warm in your own house before settling. Bundle B is the softest set - Westin-inspired, Shangri-La-inspired, Four Seasons-inspired and Ritz-Carlton-inspired - and it is the right choice for a bright house with a garden that hosts in daylight, since it is the only bundle containing the tea-and-jasmine register. Bundle C is the most characterful - St. Regis-inspired, W Hotels-inspired, 1 Hotels-inspired and Four Seasons-inspired - and it is the only bundle containing the bold citrus, pepper and amber register. Which register lasts longest or throws furthest?
We do not publish comparative throw, longevity or intensity data for the seven registers, and we are not going to invent it, because a made-up ranking would be the least useful thing on this page. What is honest and genuinely useful is that character differs and perception follows character: a heavier amber-and-woods register such as the St. Regis-inspired blend reads as more present in a room than an airy white-tea one such as the Westin-inspired blend. That is a perceptual observation, not a measurement. In practice, how present any register feels in your house is decided by three things you control - which machine you are running, what intensity it is set to, and the volume of air you are filling - and those matter far more than which of the seven you chose. Can I use the Rs 299 Hotel Collection in a Vaayu?
No, and this is the one thing worth getting exactly right. The SOSA Hotel Collection at Rs 299 for 15ml is water-based and made for the ultrasonic machines only - the Boond at Rs 899, the Sukoon at Rs 1,899 and the Megh 6L at Rs 3,499, all of which mist a water and fragrance mixture into a room. The Vaayu at Rs 11,999 is a waterless cold-air machine that nebulises undiluted oil with no water and no tank, and it comes with four hotel-inspired waterless blends already in the box, chosen as Bundle A, B or C at checkout. The two formats are not interchangeable in either direction. The seven registers exist in both formats, so if you love the Shangri-La-inspired reading you can meet it as a water-based Hotel Collection bottle in an ultrasonic and as a waterless blend in a Vaayu - they are simply different products for different machines. Can I run different registers in different parts of the house?
You can, and in most houses you should not. A nose reads two unrelated registers meeting at a doorway as confusion rather than as layering, and the transition point is exactly where somebody walks - which is why a house with a different pleasant scent in every room ends up feeling like a sequence of unrelated decisions rather than one place. The honest exception is the rooms behind closed doors, which are separate volumes of air anyway: a guest bathroom or guest bedroom on a reed diffuser from Rs 749 can carry a softer expression, and the instruction there is to stay in the same family rather than to choose something new for variety. If you genuinely want to change, change the whole connected volume at once rather than drifting, and change rarely, because a register that changes every few months never becomes the smell of your house.
