We are not going to give you a number, and this page exists to explain why that is the useful answer rather than an evasive one. There is no published monthly running cost for the SOSA Vaayu, no consumption rate, no millilitres-per-week figure and no blend duration, so any monthly cost you read anywhere - including here - would have been invented by somebody. What we can do instead is better: name the three things that actually decide your consumption, give you every price that genuinely is published, and show you the arithmetic that turns your own measured usage into your own real monthly figure in about ten minutes.
Quick answers — read this first
What is the monthly cost of running a scent machine in a villa? No monthly figure is published for the SOSA Vaayu, and we will not estimate one. No standalone waterless refill bottle is listed for it, which means there is no refill price, no consumption rate, no millilitres-per-month figure and no blend duration that anybody can honestly state. A published monthly cost would also be misleading even if it existed, because consumption is driven by three variables that differ enormously between houses: the volume of air being scented, how many hours a day the schedule runs, and the intensity setting. The same machine in a 425 cubic metre connected volume running two hours a day at a low setting and in an 850 cubic metre volume running ten hours a day at a high one are not comparable, and a single average would be wrong for almost every reader. What is published: the Vaayu is Rs 11,999 and includes four hotel-inspired waterless blends in the box. Ongoing supply is arranged on WhatsApp +91 96192 18531.

What actually determines how much fragrance a home uses in a month? Three things, and you control all three. First, the volume of air being scented: floor area times ceiling height, divided by 35.3 for cubic metres. At a ten foot ceiling, 1,500 square feet of connected space is about 425 cubic metres, 2,000 is about 566, 2,500 is about 708 and 3,000 is about 850, so one house can be holding twice the air of another with the same machine. Second, the number of hours a day the schedule runs - two hours before the family gets home is a completely different monthly total from a machine running from morning until midnight. Third, the intensity setting, which is the single largest lever and the one most people leave too high, because you go nose-blind to your own house within about twenty minutes and adjust upward without noticing. Change any one of those three and the monthly figure changes with it, which is exactly why a published average would mislead.

What fragrance prices are actually published? For the Vaayu at Rs 11,999: four hotel-inspired waterless blends are included in the box, chosen as Bundle A, B or C at purchase, and no standalone waterless refill is published, so no refill price, consumption rate or duration may be stated. Ongoing supply is arranged directly on WhatsApp. For the ultrasonic route the fragrance is genuinely priced and you can do the arithmetic yourself: the water-based SOSA Hotel Collection is Rs 299 for 15ml, Rs 999 for a 100ml refill and Rs 1,799 for a Pack of 7 at 15ml, which is 105ml in total. That works out at about Rs 19.93 per millilitre for a single 15ml bottle, about Rs 9.99 per millilitre for the 100ml refill and about Rs 17.13 per millilitre across the Pack of 7, so the 100ml refill is roughly half the per-millilitre cost of a single small bottle and the pack buys variety rather than economy. Reed diffusers include their oil in the price, from Rs 749.
The short answer
Short answer: There is no published monthly cost for the SOSA Vaayu and we will not invent, estimate or hedge one. No standalone waterless refill bottle is listed for it, so there is no refill price, no consumption rate, no millilitres-per-month figure, no monthly running cost and no blend duration that anybody can honestly state, and any number you find elsewhere was made up by somebody. A published figure would also be misleading even if one existed, because consumption is decided by three variables that differ enormously between houses. One: the volume of air being scented. Floor area times ceiling height gives cubic feet and cubic feet divided by 35.3 gives cubic metres, so at a ten foot ceiling 1,500 square feet of connected space is about 425 cubic metres, 2,000 about 566, 2,500 about 708 and 3,000 about 850 - one house can hold twice the air of another running the same machine. Two: how many hours a day the schedule runs. A two hour run before the family gets home is a completely different monthly total from a machine running morning to midnight. Three: the intensity setting, which is the largest lever and the one most people leave too high, because you go nose-blind to your own house within about twenty minutes and adjust upward without realising it. What IS published: the Vaayu is Rs 11,999 and includes four hotel-inspired waterless blends in the box as Bundle A, B or C, so there is no fragrance line at purchase. For the ultrasonic route, the water-based SOSA Hotel Collection is Rs 299 for 15ml, Rs 999 for a 100ml refill and Rs 1,799 for a Pack of 7 at 15ml, which is 105ml. Those prices let you compute cost per millilitre honestly: about Rs 19.93 per ml for a single 15ml bottle, about Rs 9.99 per ml for the 100ml refill and about Rs 17.13 per ml across the pack of seven, so the 100ml refill is roughly half the per-millilitre cost of the small bottle and the pack buys variety rather than economy. Reed diffusers include their oil from Rs 749. Here is the method to work out your own figure. Step one, mark the starting level on the bottle with a strip of tape and write the date on it. Step two, run your ordinary schedule untouched for a fortnight - not a heavier one, and do not change the setting during the fortnight. Step three, measure what has gone. Step four, divide by fourteen for a daily rate and multiply by thirty for a month, or take your weekly figure and multiply by about 4.3. Step five, multiply your monthly millilitres by your cost per millilitre. That is your real number, for your house, at your setting, and it is worth more than any average. Three ways to reduce it, in order of effect: turn the intensity down, because the level in most homes has crept above where a guest would prefer it and lovely house is a pass while what is that fragrance is a fail; shorten the schedule so the run finishes before you need the room rather than continuing through it; and reduce the volume you are scenting by closing off a wing you do not use. Electricity is the other running cost and we publish no wattage figure, so we state no power cost either. Ongoing Vaayu fragrance supply is arranged with us directly on WhatsApp, and asking before you buy rather than after is the sensible order. Coverage assumes one connected volume and no machine passes a closed door. SOSA blends are SOSA's own hotel-inspired interpretations and SOSA is not affiliated with any hotel brand. A villa is not one room, it is a set of connected volumes and a set of closed doors, and the two need different answers. Whole-home scenting means one fragrance held evenly across the part of the house you actually live in - the entrance, the living room, the dining - running on a schedule so it is already there when someone walks through your front door, and already there when you come home yourself. The bedrooms, the guest bathroom and the study get their own quiet solutions. Nobody in the house has to remember anything.
Straight answer
What does it cost per month to keep a villa fragranced, and why will nobody give me a straight number?
We will not give you a monthly figure, and here is exactly why that is the useful answer. 1. No figure is published. No standalone waterless refill bottle is listed for the SOSA Vaayu, which means there is no refill price, no consumption rate, no millilitres-per-month figure, no running cost and no blend duration that we may state - not estimated, not typically, not roughly. Any monthly number you find for a machine like this was invented by somebody. 2. And a published figure would mislead even if it existed. Consumption is set by three variables, not by the machine. The volume of air being scented: at a ten foot ceiling, 1,500 sq ft of connected space is about 425m³ and 3,000 sq ft is about 850m³, so one house holds twice the air of another. The hours a day your schedule runs: two hours before the family gets home is nothing like morning to midnight. And the intensity setting, which is the biggest lever and the one most people leave too high, because you go nose-blind to your own house within twenty minutes. An average across those is wrong for almost everybody who reads it. 3. What genuinely is published. The Vaayu is ₹11,999 including four hotel-inspired blends in the box, so there is no fragrance line at purchase. For the ultrasonic route, the water-based Hotel Collection is ₹299 for 15ml, ₹999 for a 100ml refill and ₹1,799 for a Pack of 7 at 15ml, which is 105ml - about ₹19.93, ₹9.99 and ₹17.13 per millilitre respectively. Reeds from ₹749 include their oil. 4. The method for your own number. Mark the level with tape and write the date. Run your ordinary schedule untouched for a fortnight without changing the setting. Measure what has gone. Divide by fourteen for a day, multiply by thirty for a month. Multiply that by your cost per millilitre. That is your real figure, for your house, at your setting. 5. To reduce it: turn the intensity down first, shorten the schedule second, scent a smaller volume third. 6. Why no honest monthly figure exists

Why an honest monthly figure does not exist and why a published one would mislead you anyway, the three variables that actually decide what your house uses, and the ten-minute method that turns your own measured consumption into a real number.

Why this works at home
No invented number - the variables, the published prices, and your own method
1No monthly figure is published for the Vaayu, and we will not estimate one2Three variables decide it: air volume, hours scheduled, intensity setting3What is published: Rs 11,999 with four blends, Hotel Collection from Rs 2994Measure your own use for a fortnight, then do the arithmetic on this page
The whole-home answer: the SOSA Vaayu at ₹11,999 - waterless, app-scheduled, ~1000m³, and it arrives with four hotel-inspired blends in the box. A single bedroom or guest bathroom starts on reeds from ₹749.
1
The refusal
Why we will not publish a monthly figure, and why you should distrust one
First, the plain statement of fact. No standalone waterless refill bottle is published for the SOSA Vaayu. That is not a gap we are hiding behind; it is simply the position, and everything follows from it. Because no refill is listed, there is no refill price we can quote, no millilitres-per-day or per-month consumption figure, no monthly running cost, and no statement of how long a blend lasts. Not estimated. Not typically. Not roughly. Not as a range. We would rather this page said less and was worth more. Second, and more useful: a published monthly figure would mislead you even if one existed. This is the part worth understanding, because it applies to every brand in this category and not only to us. The machine does not decide consumption. Three things about your house and your habits decide it, and they vary so widely between two homes that any single number is wrong for nearly everybody who reads it. Consider two real villas. One has a connected ground floor of 1,500 square feet at a ten foot ceiling, which is 15,000 cubic feet, about 425m³, and the owner runs a two hour schedule in the evening at a low setting. The other has 3,000 square feet of connected space, about 850m³, and runs from eight in the morning until eleven at night at a high setting. Same machine, same fragrance, and the second house is scenting twice the air for many times the hours at a higher output. There is no honest average of those two. And the reader most likely to trust the average is the one whose house is furthest from it. Third, notice which end of the range a published figure always sits at. When a monthly cost does appear in this category, it is almost invariably the flattering end: the smallest room, the shortest schedule, the lowest setting. It is technically achievable and practically irrelevant, and it sets an expectation the buyer discovers is wrong two months after purchase, which is the worst possible moment to find out. A figure invented to close a sale is a figure that damages the relationship it was invented to start. Fourth, the same discipline cuts against arguments that would suit us. We will not tell you how long a reed diffuser lasts either, and a reed lifespan would be a convenient number for us in several comparisons - it would let us claim a machine works out cheaper over time. But reed depletion depends on the size of the room, the airflow, the temperature and how often the sticks are turned, and those vary so much between a still guest bathroom and a hall with a door opening onto it that a single figure would be wrong for most readers. So neither side of that comparison gets a long-run cost claim from us, and anybody offering you one is guessing. Fifth, what to do with this when you are comparing sellers. Ask the question, and pay attention to the shape of the answer rather than its confidence. A seller who gives you a precise monthly rupee figure without asking about your ceiling height, your connected volume, your schedule or your setting has told you that the number is decorative. A seller who asks those questions first, or who says plainly that the honest answer depends on them, is giving you something you can use. And one more thing we will not put a number on. The machine draws electricity as well as fragrance. We publish no wattage figure for it, so we will not give you a power cost either - not even a small one, because a small invented number is still an invented number and it would make every real number on this page worth less.
Tip: a seller who quotes a monthly figure without asking your ceiling height, your schedule and your setting has told you the number is decorative.
2
The variables
The three things that actually decide what your house uses
One: the volume of air you are scenting, which is the variable people get most wrong because they think in floor area. A machine disperses into a body of air, and the size of that body is floor area times ceiling height, not floor area alone. The arithmetic: floor area times ceiling height gives cubic feet, and cubic feet divided by 35.3 gives cubic metres. At a standard ten foot ceiling, 1,500 square feet is 15,000 cubic feet, about 425m³; 2,000 square feet is about 566m³; 2,500 is about 708m³; 3,000 is about 850m³; and 4,000 is about 1,133m³. So two owners describing their homes as villas can be scenting volumes that differ by a factor of two, and the larger one will use more fragrance to reach the same perceived level, because perceived level is a concentration in air and there is more air. Ceiling height compounds this quietly: a 600 square foot living room at a twenty foot ceiling is 12,000 cubic feet, about 340m³, which is a third of the Vaayu's approximately 1000m³ rating in a room that looks modest on a plan. And the volume that counts is only the connected volume, because coverage assumes one continuous body of air and no machine passes a closed door. If you scent 1,800 square feet of open ground floor rather than the 3,200 square feet on your sale deed, your consumption reflects the 1,800. Two: how many hours a day the schedule actually runs. This one is arithmetically obvious and behaviourally the one people misreport to themselves. A machine set to run for two hours before the family gets home, and again for an hour in the morning, is running three hours a day. A machine left on a long continuous schedule from morning until late at night is running five times that. Both are legitimate choices, and they produce monthly totals that have nothing to do with each other. The useful shape of a schedule, incidentally, also happens to be the shorter one: run it so it finishes before you need the room rather than through the whole time you are in it, because air that has settled distributes itself evenly across the connected volume and reads as the character of the house, while air being actively scented while people stand in it has a source and a gradient and reads as a product working. Shorter and earlier is usually both cheaper and better. Three: the intensity setting, which is the biggest lever and the one almost everybody has too high. The reason is physiological rather than careless. You go nose-blind to your own house within about twenty minutes, so the person adjusting the setting is the least qualified judge in the building, and the adjustment is nearly always upward. Over months this creeps, and the household never notices because the household adapted at every step. The correction is simple and free: aim below the point at which a guest can name it. Lovely house is a pass. What is that fragrance is a fail. Ask the first person through the door on two separate occasions, and treat two independent comments about strength as an instruction rather than an opinion. Turning the setting down is the single fastest way to reduce fragrance consumption, and in most homes it also improves the result. It matters for another reason too: a home holds children, elderly parents, pregnant family members and pets who breathe this air for far longer than any guest does, and anyone reporting a headache is a recalibration signal rather than a complaint to argue with. We make no health, therapeutic, air-purification or wellness claims.
3
The method
Your own number, in a fortnight, using only published prices
Here is everything that is genuinely published, and then the arithmetic that turns it into your figure. The Vaayu: ₹11,999, including four hotel-inspired waterless blends in the box, chosen as Bundle A, B or C at purchase - which means there is no fragrance line at all at the point of sale, and that is unusual in this category. Beyond that, no standalone waterless refill is published, so ongoing supply is arranged with us directly on WhatsApp +91 96192 18531. Reed diffusers include their oil in the price: Morning Freshness ₹749, Garden Bloom ₹799, Evening Calm ₹799, Mountain Breeze ₹849, Fresh Brew ₹849, 130ml sizes from ₹1,249, duo sets ₹1,498, ₹1,548 and ₹1,598. The ultrasonic route is fully priced, and this is where you can do complete arithmetic today. The water-based SOSA Hotel Collection is ₹299 for 15ml, ₹999 for a 100ml refill and ₹1,799 for a Pack of 7 at 15ml, which is 105ml in total. Divide and you get the honest per-millilitre picture: about ₹19.93 per ml for a single 15ml bottle, about ₹9.99 per ml for the 100ml refill, and about ₹17.13 per ml across the Pack of 7. So the 100ml refill is roughly half the per-millilitre cost of a single small bottle, and the Pack of 7 buys you variety and the end of guessing rather than economy - which is a fair reason to buy it, just not a savings one. Those bottles run in the Boond ₹899, the Sukoon ₹1,899 and the Megh ₹3,499 only, never in a Vaayu. Now the five-step method, which works for either format once you know your own consumption. Step one: mark the starting level on the bottle with a strip of masking tape and write the date on the tape. Step two: run your ordinary schedule, untouched, for a fortnight. Not a heavier one to be safe, not a lighter one to look good, and do not change the intensity setting during the fortnight - the whole value of the exercise is that it measures your actual life. Step three: measure what has gone, in millilitres. Step four: divide by fourteen for a daily rate and multiply by thirty for a month; or if you prefer to think in weeks, multiply your weekly figure by about 4.3. Step five: multiply your monthly millilitres by your cost per millilitre from the list above. That is your monthly cost, for your house, at your volume, on your schedule, at your setting. It took a fortnight and it is worth more than any average anybody could have handed you on day one. Worked purely as arithmetic, so the method is clear: if the measurement you take happens to come out at 40ml in a month - and that figure is an arbitrary illustration of the sum rather than any claim about any SOSA machine - then at the 100ml refill's ₹9.99 per ml that month cost about ₹400, and at a 15ml bottle's ₹19.93 per ml it cost about ₹797. Substitute your own measured millilitres and the same two multiplications give you your own answer. Three ways to reduce whatever number you get, in order of effect. First, turn the intensity down, because in most homes the level has crept above where a guest would prefer it anyway, so this reduces cost and improves the result at the same time. Second, shorten the schedule so the run finishes before you need the room rather than continuing through it. Third, reduce the volume you are scenting - closing off a wing you do not use, or scenting the connected living volume and giving the closed rooms a reed from ₹749, which has no running cost in the sense of a monthly draw at all. And the thing that costs nothing and matters most. Clear the sources and cross-ventilate: the shoe cabinet at the door, the bin, damp mats, a dried-out floor trap in a bathroom nobody uses, which you fix by running the tap. Air-conditioning recirculates rather than replaces air. A house with clean base air needs less fragrance to smell good, which is the only running-cost advice on this page that is free.
Tip: measure your own consumption for one fortnight and you will own a number that is true for your house - which no published average can ever be.

The SOSA home edit

Whatever the house looks like, the logic is the same: one scent, sized to the volume that is genuinely connected, running on a schedule so nobody in the family has to remember it. A single bedroom or a guest bathroom is happy on reeds with no power at all; the living room you actually live in wants a machine; the whole villa with central air-conditioning wants the ducts doing the work. Every SOSA system is made in India, cruelty-free and vegan, and a portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Here is where each one belongs.

Honest notes before you buy anything. Coverage ratings assume connected air volume. A machine cannot push scent through a closed bedroom door, and it never will - so a partitioned villa is not one scenting problem but several, and honest sizing means saying so out loud rather than selling you one machine and hoping. Scent the volume that is genuinely open to itself, then give the closed rooms their own quiet answer, usually a reed diffuser. Fragrance never substitutes for ventilation or cleaning. If a room smells damp, stale or of last night's cooking, open it, air it and clean it first; scent added on top of that only makes a more complicated bad smell. A home is not a lobby you pass through. Households include children, elderly parents, pregnant family members and pets, all of whom breathe this air far longer than any visitor does, which is why gentle dosing is the default at home and why the settings we suggest are lower than the machine can run. Anyone in the house reporting a headache is a recalibration signal, not a complaint to argue with - turn it down or turn it off, and tell us. The Vaayu runs waterless nebulising oil and comes with the four hotel-inspired blends; the Hotel Collection bottle is water-based and belongs in the ultrasonic machines only. The two formats are not interchangeable. SOSA blends are SOSA's own hotel-inspired interpretations; SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house, not affiliated with or endorsed by any hotel brand. Ongoing fragrance supply for the Vaayu is arranged with us directly on WhatsApp: +91 96192 18531. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali.

ISIPCA
Versailles
A note from Sonal

There is a difference between a room that smells nice and a home that has a signature, and almost nobody is told what it is. A room that smells nice is an event: you light a candle, you spray something in the hallway before people arrive, it is lovely for forty minutes and then it is gone. Somewhere else in the house a bathroom gel is doing one thing, a kitchen spray another, and a bedroom reed a third. Four pleasant smells in four rooms is not a fragranced home. It is four rooms.

A signature is the opposite. It is one scent, sized to the house, running on a schedule - so it is already in the air when someone walks through your front door, and already there at eleven at night when you come home yourself, and nobody has lifted a finger to make it happen. That is the whole trick the great hotels use, and it is not complicated: they do not chase smells room by room, they hold one fragrance across the volume people actually move through. In a villa that usually means the entrance, the living room and the dining as one connected space, with the closed rooms handled separately and quietly.

I trained at ISIPCA in Versailles and I have sized this for houses across India, and I would rather tell you honestly that your layout needs two answers than sell you one machine that disappoints you. Message us on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531 with your home's approximate size, the number of floors and a line about the layout - open plan, closed rooms, central air-conditioning or split units - and we will give you a free sizing recommendation. I read those descriptions myself. Everything is made in India, cruelty-free and vegan, and a part of every order funds girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Your home gets a memory; a girl gets a classroom.

Frequently asked questions

Why will you not just give me an approximate monthly cost?
Because approximate would mean invented, and an invented number would make every other figure on this page worth less. The plain position is that no standalone waterless refill bottle is published for the SOSA Vaayu, so there is no refill price, no consumption rate, no millilitres-per-month figure and no blend duration that we can honestly state - not estimated, not typically, not roughly, not as a range. But there is a second reason that applies to every brand in this category, not only to us: a published monthly cost would mislead you even if one existed, because the machine does not decide consumption. Your air volume does, your schedule hours do, and your intensity setting does. A 425 cubic metre connected volume running two hours a day at a low setting and an 850 cubic metre volume running fifteen hours a day at a high one have no meaningful average between them, and the reader most likely to trust an average is the one whose house sits furthest from it. What we can give you instead is every price that is genuinely published, the three variables in plain language, and a method that produces your own real number in a fortnight.
How do I work out my own monthly fragrance cost?
Five steps and about ten minutes of actual work spread over a fortnight. Step one: mark the starting level on the bottle with a strip of masking tape and write the date on the tape. Step two: run your ordinary schedule untouched for fourteen days - not a heavier one to be safe and not a lighter one to look good, and do not change the intensity setting during that period, because the entire value of the exercise is that it measures your real life rather than a test. Step three: measure what has gone, in millilitres. Step four: divide by fourteen for a daily rate and multiply by thirty for a monthly one, or take your weekly figure and multiply by about 4.3. Step five: multiply your monthly millilitres by your cost per millilitre. For the water-based Hotel Collection those costs are genuinely published, so the sum completes today: a 15ml bottle at Rs 299 is about Rs 19.93 per millilitre, a 100ml refill at Rs 999 is about Rs 9.99 per millilitre, and the Pack of 7 at 15ml for Rs 1,799 is 105ml, which is about Rs 17.13 per millilitre. For the Vaayu, the same method applies once ongoing supply is arranged with us on WhatsApp at +91 96192 18531.
Which is cheaper per millilitre, the 15ml bottle, the 100ml refill or the Pack of 7?
The 100ml refill, by a wide margin, and the arithmetic is straightforward from published prices. A single 15ml bottle at Rs 299 works out at about Rs 19.93 per millilitre. A 100ml refill at Rs 999 works out at about Rs 9.99 per millilitre, which is roughly half. The Pack of 7 at 15ml costs Rs 1,799 and contains 105ml in total, which is about Rs 17.13 per millilitre - cheaper than buying seven separate 15ml bottles, which would be Rs 2,093, but still well above the 100ml refill. So the honest way to describe the Pack of 7 is that it buys you variety and the end of guessing rather than savings: it puts all seven registers in front of you at a real published price so you can find the one your house should run, which is a genuinely good reason to buy it. Once you know which register you want, the 100ml refill at Rs 999 is the economical way to keep running it. All of these are the water-based Hotel Collection for the ultrasonic machines - Boond Rs 899, Sukoon Rs 1,899, Megh Rs 3,499 - and none of them goes into a Vaayu, which runs waterless oil.
How can I reduce what my house spends on fragrance every month?
Three levers, in order of effect, and the first one usually improves the result rather than compromising it. First, turn the intensity setting down. In most homes the level has crept above where a guest would actually prefer it, because you go nose-blind to your own house within about twenty minutes and every adjustment anybody makes is upward. The correct target is below the point at which a guest can name it: lovely house is a pass, what is that fragrance is a fail. Ask the first person through the door on two separate occasions rather than trusting your own nose. Second, shorten the schedule so the run finishes before you need the room rather than continuing through the whole time you are in it - which is also better for the fragrance, since settled air reads as the character of the house while air being actively scented reads as a product working. Third, reduce the volume you are scenting: close off a wing you do not use, and give the sealed rooms a reed from Rs 749 rather than trying to reach them, since a reed has no monthly draw at all. And free of charge: clear the sources and cross-ventilate, because a house with clean base air needs less fragrance to smell good.
Is there a running cost at all if I only use reed diffusers?
There is a replacement cost rather than a monthly draw, and it behaves quite differently from a machine. A reed diffuser includes its oil in the purchase price - Morning Freshness Rs 749, Garden Bloom Rs 799, Evening Calm Rs 799, Mountain Breeze Rs 849, Fresh Brew Rs 849, with 130ml sizes from Rs 1,249 and duo sets at Rs 1,498, Rs 1,548 and Rs 1,598 - and it needs no electricity, no app and no schedule, so between purchases it costs you nothing at all. Eventually it depletes and gets replaced, and here we apply the same discipline as everywhere else on this page: we will not tell you how long that takes, because it depends on the size of the room, the airflow, the temperature and how often the sticks are turned, and those differ so much between a still guest bathroom and a hall with a door opening onto it that a single figure would be wrong for most readers. What we can tell you is the shape of the spend: three bedroom reeds at Rs 749 is Rs 2,247 per round, and with a Vaayu at Rs 11,999 on the connected volume the whole house comes to Rs 14,246 at purchase. About this guide: Written by Sonal Sahani, ISIPCA Versailles-trained founder and perfumer at SOSA Home & Body. Product recommendations reflect the SOSA home range; the sizing logic applies to any brand's systems.

Facts verified August 2026: The SOSA Vaayu (₹11,999) is a waterless cold-air nebulising machine covering approximately 1000m³, with Bluetooth app and timer scheduling. It ships with four hotel-inspired waterless blends included in the box, chosen as one of three bundles at purchase: Bundle A - Ritz-Carlton Inspired, Westin Inspired, St. Regis Inspired, 1 Hotels Inspired; Bundle B - Westin Inspired, Shangri-La Inspired, Four Seasons Inspired, Ritz-Carlton Inspired; Bundle C - St. Regis Inspired, W Hotels Inspired, 1 Hotels Inspired, Four Seasons Inspired. Format distinction: the Vaayu and the HVAC systems run waterless nebulising oil, while the separate SOSA Hotel Collection fragrance (15ml ₹299) is water-based and runs in the ultrasonic machines only - Boond (₹899), Sukoon (₹1,899) and Megh (₹3,499). The two fragrance formats are not interchangeable, and the Hotel Collection bottle does not go into a Vaayu. SOSA Aangan (₹25,999) and SOSA Meenar (₹38,500) are HVAC nebulising systems for approximately 8,000-10,000 sq ft and 12,000-18,000 sq ft respectively, ducted into central air-conditioning. Reed diffusers need no power and make no noise: Morning Freshness ₹749, Garden Bloom ₹799, Evening Calm ₹799, Mountain Breeze ₹849, Fresh Brew ₹849; 130ml from ₹1,249; duo sets ₹1,498, ₹1,548 and ₹1,598. Scent perception is personal and varies between people in the same room, and coverage figures assume connected air volume rather than a partitioned floor plan. Ventilation, cleaning and air-conditioning come first; fragrance is an addition to a well-kept home and never a substitute for any of them. SOSA blends are SOSA's own hotel-inspired interpretations; SOSA is an independent Indian fragrance house and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any hotel brand. Made in India, cruelty-free and vegan. A portion of every order supports girl-child education through Nanhi Kali. Ongoing fragrance supply is arranged with SOSA on WhatsApp: +91 96192 18531.
