The room shrank around it
The first thing that happened when you set the bottle down is that its task got smaller. Fragrance fills volume, so measure both rooms that way. The room stopped throwing the fragrance away
The second change is quieter and probably bigger. In the room you took the bottle out of, several things were removing scented air all day long. A ceiling fan turns constantly and thins whatever the reeds release before it can accumulate. An air conditioner circulates and dries. The door is open to the passage, so the fragrance is dispersing into a volume larger than the room you measured. A window or balcony gets used. So instead of being carried off, what the reeds release at ten in the morning is still contributing at three in the afternoon. That accumulation is what you smell when you open the door.

The third change is the one nobody predicts. Evaporation is temperature-driven, so a warm room draws more oil off the reeds than a cool one, and a bathroom used for hot showers is regularly the warmest room in the house, while an air-conditioned bedroom is the coolest. Then humidity joins in: in damp air, scent tends to linger rather than settling out quickly, which is why the twenty minutes after a shower can feel almost saturated with fragrance. So the bathroom is not merely an easier room. It is an actively helpful one, briefly increasing your bottle's output while also holding onto the result. Understand this and the practical conclusion follows on its own. Honest notes before you spend anything. A reed diffuser is passive, and its scent is strongest at the bottle. There is a difference between a fragrance being good and a fragrance reaching you, and almost nobody is told what it is. When someone writes to me and says the reed diffuser smells wonderful up close but they cannot smell it from the bed, my first answer is always the same: nothing is wrong, and you did not buy the wrong thing. A reed diffuser is a passive object. It holds oil, the reeds draw it up, the room's warmth and air take it away at their own pace. It has no way of carrying scent to you, and it was never built to.
So the real question is not which fragrance is stronger. It is which job you want done. If you want a quiet, pleasant presence in the corner of a bathroom or beside a bed, a reed is still the most elegant thing I sell, and I would rather you kept it than replaced it. Will the effect fade now that the diffuser lives in the bathroom?
It will settle rather than fade, and the settling is your own nose rather than the fragrance. When you first move a diffuser into a small room the contrast is startling, and within a few days you will register it less because noses adapt to a continuous scent and push it into the background. Resist the urge to add sticks to chase the first-day impression: that raises the evaporation rate, empties the bottle sooner and mainly intensifies the corner where it stands. Is the bathroom the best room in the house for a reed diffuser?

Can I move it back to the bedroom at night and to the bathroom by day?
You can, and some people do, though there is a catch worth knowing. Does the exhaust fan in the bathroom work against the diffuser?
While it runs, yes, and that is fine. An exhaust fan is doing an important job, pulling damp air out after a shower, and a bathroom needs that far more than it needs an uninterrupted fragrance.
