Best unit for a desk? The Boond - USB-powered, quiet and small enough for a work desk without crowding it.
For a cabin or reception? Step up to the Sukoon for a cabin or the 6-litre Megh for a larger reception or open floor.
Setting it up on the desk
A work desk is a crowded, cable-heavy place, so a diffuser there has to be small, quiet and considerate of the electronics around it. Place it mid-desk on a clear patch of surface - not perched on the laptop, not straddling a bundle of cables, and not pressed against the monitor. A little clearance from screens and circuitry is all it needs.
Keep it near a socket or, better on a desk, a USB port - the Boond runs off USB, so it can plug into the same hub as your other kit and the cable stays neat. Fill it with filtered or RO water, never hot, add a few drops of SOSA water-based fragrance, and it will run through the working day, switching off on its own when the tank empties.
On a shared floor, courtesy matters as much as placement. Keep the diffuser quiet, the mist gentle and the scent soft - a light, clean fragrance the whole room can share, not a bold one that dominates a colleague's space.
One habit to avoid: setting the diffuser directly on the laptop to "save space." Fine mist and a laptop's vents and keyboard are a poor match. Give it its own small patch of desk instead.
Cabins and reception areas
The Boond is perfect for one desk, but offices come in bigger shapes, and the right unit scales with the room.
| Space | Unit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Personal desk (~150 sq ft) | Boond (300ml, USB) | Quiet, compact, runs off a USB port |
| Closed cabin (270-320 sq ft) | Sukoon (500ml) | Timers and a longer run for a private office |
| Reception / open floor | Megh (6L) | Reach and up-to-100-hour runtime for a big area |
Myth: "A desk diffuser will scent the whole office." A 300ml Boond is made for one desk of around 150 sq ft. To scent a cabin or a reception you need a Sukoon or a Megh - the right output for the room, not just a small unit turned up.
A calmer, drier-air workspace. Under constant AC, an office goes dry. A cool-mist unit adds a little moisture as well as scent, which many people find makes a long day at the screen more comfortable - though a diffuser scents the air, it does not purify it.
Run a clean, focused scent - Forest Suite or White Tea Serenity - for a calm, put-together workspace. As always, SOSA water-based fragrance only, so the plate stays clear and the unit lasts.

Versailles
I trained as a perfumer at ISIPCA in Versailles, but half the questions we get are not about scent at all - they are about the machine. Indian rooms are bone-dry from AC and winter, and most gadget diffusers are too small, too loud, or quit by midnight. So we made three: Boond (300ml, desk), Sukoon (500ml, bedroom, with a remote and mood light) and Megh (6L, whole-room), each shipping with three of our fragrances.
They are cool-mist ultrasonic diffusers - an ultrasonic plate turns water into a fine, cool mist with no heating element, so there is no boiling water or burn risk, and each has an auto shut-off when the tank runs dry.
One thing I say on every listing and will say here: use only SOSA's water-based Hotel Collection fragrance. Raw essential oils, perfumes and carrier oils are thick or solvent-heavy and can clog the misting plate and damage the unit. A few drops of our water-based fragrance in the tank mists cleanly and scents the whole room.
