A gifting structure you can reuse every year is worth more than a clever idea you have to reinvent each October. Here is one that holds.
Quick answers — read this first
How do I create client gifting tiers? Three tiers by format: standard car perfumes at ₹449, premium reed diffusers at ₹749 to ₹1,498, VIP machines from ₹1,899.
What makes a tiering structure reusable? Tiers defined by product format rather than by price, consistent packaging across all tiers, and a rule for which clients sit where that you can apply again next year.
What should each tier cost? A common shape is ₹449 to ₹509 standard, ₹749 to ₹1,498 premium, and ₹1,899 upward for VIP.
The short answer
Short answer: Three tiers defined by format, identical packaging, and a written rule for who sits where.
Client gifting at Diwali is a list problem before it is a taste problem. One family of fragrance products at three price tiers lets a hundred clients be gifted well without a hundred separate decisions, and keeps the tiering legible rather than awkward.
How do I create standard, premium and VIP client Diwali gift tiers?
Define the tiers by format, write down the rule for who sits in each, and keep the presentation identical throughout. The three tiers.Standard, ₹449 to ₹509. A 12ml hanging car perfume, alcohol-free, used daily for weeks, in two or three scents across the list. This is the tier that has to be genuinely good, because it is the one most of your clients receive. Premium, ₹749 to ₹1,498. A 50ml reed diffuser at ₹749 to ₹849, a boxed Attar Trio at ₹1,055, a 100ml reed at ₹1,249, or a reed duo at ₹1,498. VIP, ₹1,899 upward. A Sukoon diffuser at ₹1,899, a Megh at ₹3,499, Safar from ₹3,999, or the Vaayu at ₹11,999 where the client has a space and the policy allows it. Four rules that keep it working. One: tiers differ by format, never by size of the same product, so nobody can read the ladder. Two: packaging, card and message are identical across tiers, and the tier name never appears on anything. Three: write the allocation rule down, based on relationship depth and contact frequency with revenue as one input, so next year is an update rather than a rebuild. Four: check the VIP tier against recipient gift policies before you commit, because that is where value limits bite. One thing to settle before taste: corporate gifting in India has rules. Gifts to government officials and public servants are restricted and are best avoided entirely. Healthcare professionals cannot accept gifts from pharmaceutical, medical device and allied healthcare companies under the applicable marketing and professional conduct codes. Many listed, regulated and multinational companies set their own value limits and disclosure thresholds. On tax, Section 194R of the Income Tax Act brings business benefits and perquisites into scope once the aggregate to one resident recipient passes ₹20,000 in a financial year, and input tax credit is generally blocked on goods given away as gifts. This is general information rather than legal or tax advice, and your finance and compliance teams decide.SOSA makes no claim that a gift affects a client's loyalty, spend, retention or the volume of business they place with you. The one operational point that decides whether any of this works: festive volume is planned, not picked off a shelf. Quantities, pricing and lead times need a conversation before you commit to an internal delivery date, not after. WhatsApp +91 96192 18531. One line: three formats, one packaging, one written allocation rule you can reuse next year.
The tier that must be good: standard, a 12ml car perfume at ₹449.
Four rules turn a one-off gifting decision into a structure you can run every year.
01
Format defines the tier
Never size or quantity
A car perfume, a reed diffuser and a scent machine are three different objects, so two clients comparing them see three decisions. Three sizes of the same bottle is a published price list, and there is no upside to letting anyone read it.
Tip: Three sizes of the same bottle is a published price list.
02
Write the allocation rule
So next year is an edit
A documented rule based on relationship depth, contact frequency and revenue means the list can be updated in an afternoon rather than rebuilt from instinct. It also means the structure is defensible internally when somebody asks why a client sits where they do.
03
Check the top tier early
Value limits bite there
VIP gifts are where recipient gift policies and Section 194R become live, so the compliance question belongs at the design stage rather than at dispatch. A tier you have to unwind in week one is worse than one tier fewer. General information rather than legal or tax advice.
Tip: A tier you have to unwind in week one is worse than no tier.
The SOSA principle
A structure beats a clever idea.
Because you have to do this again next October.
One scent family, three formats
Running one or two scent families through all three tiers makes the programme feel like a single gesture in three sizes of gesture, rather than three unrelated purchases.
You have to do this again next October. Build the structure, not the clever idea.

The SOSA client gifting range
Everything below is alcohol-free and handmade in India. The volume tier is the 12ml car perfume, sold in two forms at the same price: a hanging version with a mild scent throw and a spray with a stronger one. The premium tier is attars and reed diffusers, both of which are used daily and then finished. The VIP tier is the scent machines. Ultrasonic diffusers need water and the water-based Hotel Collection fragrance, which is not reed diffuser oil and is not interchangeable with it. Quantities, lead times and bulk pricing are confirmed on WhatsApp before you commit to a date, because festive volumes are planned rather than picked off a shelf. A note from Sonal
Every October I watch the same thing happen. A business with two hundred clients buys two hundred identical boxes of dry fruit, and every one of those clients receives eleven other boxes of dry fruit in the same fortnight. The gift is not bad. It is simply invisible, because it arrived alongside eleven of itself.
Fragrance works differently for one plain reason: almost nobody else sends it. A hanging car perfume in a client's car is noticed every morning for weeks, and it is the only thing in the pile that is still being used in December. That is the whole argument, and it does not require me to claim anything about loyalty or revenue, which I would not.
Two honest notes. Scent is personal, so for a long client list choose clean and widely liked registers rather than distinctive ones, and keep the distinctive choices for the handful of people you actually know. And please check who you are gifting - government officials, doctors and many large companies sit under rules that decide this before taste does. A part of every order supports girl-child education.
Frequently asked questions
How do I create client gifting tiers?
Three tiers defined by format: car perfumes at Rs 449, reed diffusers and sets from Rs 749, and machines from Rs 1,899.
What makes a tiering structure reusable?
Tiers defined by format rather than price, identical packaging throughout, and a written allocation rule you can update each year.
What should each tier cost?
Commonly ₹449 to ₹509 standard, ₹749 to ₹1,498 premium, and ₹1,899 upward for VIP.
Should the packaging differ by tier?
No. Keep packaging, card and message identical so the difference sits in the product alone.
Where do compliance limits matter most?
In the VIP tier. Recipient value limits and Section 194R apply at higher values, so check at the design stage.
